The staff here is great. They have an excellent selection of interesting wines from small producers. Super knowledgeable and happy to tell you about all the new things they've brought in. They also have a wide selection of vintage liquors that are fun to try. Mostly Italian focused from a distributor in Piedmont. Always something new to bring home!

They have a solid selection but it's not all the best stuff. I'd rank them clearly behind Mister Wright on upper east side and on par with Astor and Union Square Wines. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable as you'd expect. Hours are reasonable. It's worth a stop in.

I have used Chamber's delivery service twice. Most recently it was a last minute call wishing to have a bottle of champagne delivered to friends who were checking into their hotel that night. They always provide friendly service and make great recommendations. Their was a spelling issue with the last name which caused a problem with the delivery at the hotel. They checked back with me and we got the issue resolved. Followed up later to let me know the delivery was made successfully. Highly recommend this store and their amazing team.

If I could live at a wine shop, this would be my home. Best place in NYC for natural, organic, biodynamic, clean, delicious wines and spirits, most all from smaller-name producers. Large selection of growers Champagnes. There's rhum agricole (yay !). Prices, given the high quality of the wines, are competitive. Warm, cosy atmosphere, knowledgeable staff.

I am always satisfied when I go to Chambers St Wines. They have a great selection at reasonable prices. I really enjoy working with the warm, friendly, super-knowledgable staff to find the right selections. They stay within my budget, listen to my preferences, and never steer me wrong. One time my daughter asked for help and I sent her CSW where they you excellent care of her too. Recently, I bought an expensive bottle as a gift and they waved me off of the one outside my budget and directed me to the lower priced bottle and carefully explained why it was a better value.

Excellent wine shop - this is my wife's go-to place to purchase wine. They have a great selection of wines that are not your typical mass produced bottles. More importantly, the staff is super helpful in providing advice based on tastes and preferences, and will not try to upsell any of the wines. In fact, they will often recommend less expensive bottles if they believe it will suit your palate better.

This wine shop is on my way home so I visited it quite often. Staffs are very knowledgable and enthusiastic. They stock a lot of different wines, even older vintages and in reasonable price. This place will give you the education you need about wine and good for experimentation. 2 stars because they sell many bad bottles. I bought about 10 bottles from them over time and about 50% of them are bad. This includes a 2009 La Stoppa Barbera della Stoppa Emilia IGT and a 2008 Il Colle Brunello di Montalcino. The wines are just oxidized and dead. They are not even that old. I suspect they don't store them properly or there is an issue with their source. A good shop if only the wines they sell are in good conditions.

For a higher end wine place this spot has a good selection of wines. Older looking decor makes it more appealing to people who like the look of the "old New York" The staff is knowledgeable and they have a vast selection of nice wines. If your looking for a nice bottle as a gift or just looking to have a few glasses at home with friends this is your spot. Don't even think of parking your car at this location as parking is usually impossible.

Walked into this store on a Sunday afternoon, very quiet, not busy (more staff than customers). Spoke with Ben who was sitting at the front. Asked if they carried a specific brand of wine, he said no. Literally turned his nose up (!) and said they don't carry "those kind of brands". Asked Ben if they carried two other bottles, and was told he hadn't heard of those and repeated they don't carry brands like that (what that even means, I have no clue). Ben waved me off by saying in the back of the store were "old world wines" and waved his hand in another direction when I asked about other cabernet sauvignon. I just wandered down the next aisle for a minute before deciding to take my business to the wine shop around the corner which I found via Google maps. Why would I give my business to a store when I had a poor customer experience there? Giving 2 stars only because the other guy at the front greeted me with a friendly hello when I walked in.

can u say racist? Im a aa woman and have lived in the area for over 10 years. When you walk in never a hello, never can I help you, barely a thank you. They ignore you or treat you like a thief, or an anomaly they cant understand. Typical liberal racism in so many ways. Ive complained prior to no avail. If I order I only do it in desperation. Proof they are bias .. when I have delivery they are sweet as pie face to face they are racist and rude. Black people dont go here!
