Walked in no one greeted us. We sat at the bar and Jodi was not very friendly. Felt like we were bothering her.

Jasper Lam

Good prices for wine tasting - they have pours in differing oz sizes so you can try a bunch. Very relaxing atmosphere and friendly, knowledgeable staff.

If you enjoy a glass of wine in a charming room, this place is meant for you. Broken Earth features wine from Paso Robles, a superior wine region in CA. There's cheese, meats and local venues will deliver food. It's almost too good to be true. Even the staff is pleasant. Support this unique and delightful place.

We had tyhe white blend, Grenache, Ted Rhone Blend and Petite Verdot. They were all excellent. Felt like we were back in California.

Loved Wednesday trivia night! Good service, great selection of wine and cheeses, plus ordering pizza from next door made for a great evening with friends. Check it out!

The owner and her management are unprofessional and not fair to their staff. (The bartenders are amazing and i suggest they find a different employer ASAP) I hosted several events here ...management did not pull through on any promises made. Then i was told after weeks of trying to get a response... they were going to take a break from them and will contact me when they are ready to start them again. Not even a week later they posted the same kind of event on their FB run by another person

Exceptional wines, great atmosphere, great staff, yes, place is awesome

Wine with best of friends is the perfect mix for Broken Earth Winery. If the music doesn't get you, it has pleanty of room to be comfortable. It's a ski lodge atmosphere with the layout. I can't wait to go this summer to hear the bubbling creak outside. I am not a wine conisuer, but I can not image having a bad glass of the wonderful selection. This is a seat yourself type place. Believe me, you will find friendly, warm place to hang. Tonight I saw DAMJAX playing in the corner. I hope for their return for others to enjoy. (pics posted)

Very warm and cozy place with a friendly staff serving delicious wine

Carissa Beaman Is absolutely wrong. Melissa is a fabulous business owner who cares a lot about the customer experience. I came in for my first time and Jodi took such good care of me and a friend. They are so knowledgeable, the place is beautiful and the prices are perfect. Check out this hidden gem in Long Grove, IL today!

Love this place. We went on a Tuesday when they had half price wine, that was the best night ever. Wine and cheese. The bartender was a sweetheart, she kindly explained everything we needed to know. Thank you.

Can't speak on behalf of the wine, because we never got a chance to taste any. Walked in and were not greeted or directed to a seat by anyone. Barely acknowledged. UnWined down the road was all this could hope to be with a homey atmosphere and much more friendly and warm people working there.

It has closed down.

A destination for conversation friends and ambience. Wine is good and well priced and it gives a feeling of sitting in your living room with a glass and good company. A little gem in Long Grove and worth a visit. You just may get hooked.

Good wine, but the bar tender was very rude and unprofessional. Did not explain the menu or the process. We have traveled to several wineries including many in Italy and I was appalled by the terrible customer service. We will not be back!

Rebecca Rosignolo

Nice atmosphere and good wine at reasonable prices.

Was not geeeted when I came in. Asked questions about the wine and she seemed annoyed and didn’t really seem that knowledgeable or nice at all. Cheese option was very odd. You are suppose to select it from a fridge in the seating area and it was just packaged cheese and actually one of them that I chose was 5 days old. May not come back. Even tho it was pretty inside.

Neat place but it would really be nice if they stored their wine, especially their reds, at the proper temperature instead of getting served a glass of red at room temperature (gross). Also wish they would serve a glass of wine in a traditional red wine glass instead of these tiny glasses. For dining establishments, that take pride in their wine lists, have these things in check, at minimum, without question. For a wine establishment, 2 easy fixes for 5 stars!!

I would go to Broken Earth once a month! I love the wine-cheese pairing. It was incredible! My palate was in heaven. They really put forth a wonderful effort and expertise to provide very special cheeses to go appropriately with the particular wine. Yes , it's closer to the highway, but once you divide in and part, that is all far behind. The sign is what caught my attention, on my way to San Luis Obispo last June. I'd never heard of Broken Earth before and was afraid I'd miss it on the way home. No way! The sign is awesome! Stands out nicely!. OMG! I fell for every wine I sampled. And brought 3 home. Just sorry I didn't get more. I've never joined any wine club and never would. But right now I'm ready to join BE's. It appears to have very reasonable guidelines and the wine is so good for moderate cost. THANK you Broken Earth! I had a great time by myself!

Love this place! Great flights for a great price! Plus the wine is really good

We come to all the Long Grove fests every year and everytime we end up coming here. The selection is great for all palettes and the staff are all extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Two tips for the first time patron. 1. No wine flights during fests 2. Two free tastings per person per visit
