Great wines, some of the best I've had from wineries near central Illinois. The staff was also very nice and accommodating. Krystal was the best wine bar host, gave us multiple insider tips and made each wine seem best (which it was!) not only in general but for any occasion. We signed up immediately for the membership and will definitely be heading back soon for more tastings!

A wonderful selection of wines to taste and plates / platters to nibble upon in an intimate sectional setting. The staff is friendly and attentive. Each of the wines is compelling and the plates are tasty and light. When I pass this way again, I will make a point of stopping here.

I liked the look of this place but I'm sad to say I was pretty disappointed with their offerings. Sure they had a lot of options, but it's all a bit gimmicky. If I'm looking for a good wine, I don't want some swirly green apple syrup... Of the 5 I tried, only one was worth considering and it was much more expensive than it had any right to be.

Great vibe, great staff! A must stop for a relaxing Saturday night with a bottle or glass of fantastic wine and music to enjoy. Love to sit on a couch and take it all in. Music is enjoyable for all ages, some great local talent! Do a tasting if your not sure what to order, but the Berlyn rocks! Cute gifts in the tasting room too!

Sweet cawtaba wine best sweet wine around. Cheese plate perfect paring for wine tasting. $5.00 for five tastings is really reasonable. Staff very knowledgeable. Sings posted very helpful when wonderi g how to pair. Only down fall is they don't ship and most liquor stores don't sell their wines, so you need to make a road trip and stock up

I ordinarily prefer dry red wines, and was prepared to sample primarily dry reds, but was steered toward trying out a couple of the sweet and/or sparkling wines. Glad I did--while the Chambourcin was a bit different than to which we're accustomed in the Missouri Rhineland, we were pleasantly surprised by the whites and infusions we sampled. The employees were encountered were friendly, as well.

Staff was nice, knowledgeable, and friendly. Wines were amazing! Only issue was they got distracted and wandered off, even though they didn't have much of a crowd, but when they came back around they were great. I love the Augie's Blackberry though and will be recommending it to anyone looking for a good sweet wine

Don't bring children in. We tried to sit in the lounge because we wanted to do a taste testing as a group, the lady came up to us and told us 'this is a 21 and older section'. We looked at her and said all of us are over 21 except my 1 year old daughter. She said we can't be in here because she was not 21. The bar was full and was not going to fit all 6 of us. So we left. Didn't even get to try anything.

Love the atmosphere! Friendly servers. They definitely know their information about wine. I went there with my fiance and sister -for my sisters birthday- AND we all got different wine for our wine tasting (5 selections for $5) and we all tasted each others. I like that we were allowed to do that without getting into trouble. Lol.. We than sat outside on the patio; there was a guy playing music. Beautiful weather and nice music.

This small town tasting room was really nice. It had a good selection of different wines, including sparkling ones. You could do a tasting for $5. The tasting room had plenty of seating options, indoor and outdoor, to enjoy a glass with different snack options to add on.

A great little tasting room the middle of nowhere. 5 tastes for 5 bucks! Nicely decorated rooms with a friendly staff. A wonderful way to end up the day after lunch at the Lodge at Starved Rock Park.

What a great find. When we arrived the lady behind the bar greeted us and began giving us information about their wine. She was VERY helpful. And then asked if this was our first visit. (And it was) I was very impressed with the wines. Every one that we tried was very good... As well as made locally. (Which is definitely a plus) After our tasting she guided us to the lounge and told us about some of their food options. All and all - it's reeeally a nice place to be with your special someone or just hang out. We enjoyed our food, wine and the atmosphere. I don't give 5 stars often. We'll be back. Reeeally a nice winery.

I am not a fan of wine. I've tried it all and just never had a taste for it. The friendly and incredibly knowledgeable staff introduced me to a few different options based on my likes and dislikes. Of course they found something I truly enjoyed. I'll be back for more! Beautiful, comfortable and warm inviting atmosphere.

It is Child friendly. After a day of hike at Starved Rock, this is a perfect place to get your breath back and enjoy some wine. Good small plates, with live music on the patio.

This was everything I could have asked for out of a winery. Very comfortable yet modernized atmosphere. Excellent food platters. Friendly and quick service, priced well. It was a great first experience. Not to mention that all of the wine choices I picked for my flight were AWESOME. Definitely showed variety in their options, from sweet to dry, but all excellent tastes. I don't think you'll get a winery like this anywhere else. I highly recommend. I will be coming back.

My husband and I spent the afternoon at August hill winery. This was our first time there and we absolutely LOVED it. Our server Alexis was just awesome... Always attentive and very sweet. We will be back and we WILL ask for her section. Great experience all around!!
