Wine selection is great, they will have most Cult California wines and international selections you will be looking for. Also a great selection of micro brews and international beer. Price are competitive and generally the lowest or matches with the lowest in the area, this include bottle king. Staff is also very helpful and knowledgeable. Can't go wrong at Garys.

Garys is a great place to find wines, cheeses, and other food that is usually hard to find. It has a lot of British imported foods and wines that the average wine store does not carry. Prices are slightly higher than what you would expect but the staff is very friendly and they can usually get whatever you want.

This building used to be a Chevy dealership one block from the heart of town. Rumors were rife about what was coming - another car joint? An outlet store? There was even some talk about a dinner theater. When Gary's Wine and Marketplace won out, most everyone thought the place was too big for the business. They should've talked to Gary. Wine? You can buy a bottle labelled 'Cheap Red Wine'. You can also spend a couple of C-notes. Beer? Spirits? The same soup-to-nuts varieties, and the attentive, knowledgeable personnel will treat you the same no matter what's your interest. The food section is harder to write about. It's slightly high end and super quality, but it has so many niches - cheeses, meats, sauces, seasonings, etc.- you just have to go visit.

Also they have stands with cheese samples which are unique and delicious (ex. Pumpkin spice cheese). We used to go to Wine Library, but now Garry’s wine is our preferred “local” alcohol store.

No better place on the planet for a great selection of wine and cheese. They also carry great selection of chocolate, crackers, bread and other perishable items. Gary's customer service is outstanding. Don't feel intimidated if you don't know wine. Go in and simply say "I'm looking for a good Pinot Grigio for under $15" and they will find you a great bottle for your price range! Gary's never disappoints!

If there isn't enough parking, you can just park in the Stop and Shop center next door and walk over a few feet. They also have local vendors showcase their items and cheese out for tasting.

Excellent selection of wines from around the world, craft beers, liquors and liqueurs. There is also a good selection of artisanal cheeses and cured meats. However, they practice deceptive pricing that is ethically challenged (if not illegal). Wow, everything is on sale!?!? When you look up the prices online, sale prices are typically just below the average of a range of stores around the country. "Original" prices are always at, or above, the highest prices in the US. So, is it a sale or a scam?

Great service, always keeping the place clean, nice staff. Staff is always recommending something new to try. Cheese bowl samples are there for you to try certain types of cheeses, but be warned, they go really quickly, so it's always best to go early. They close Sunday's at 6pm so if you have a plan for Sunday night then go early to get what you want. The sausages are flat out amazing and they are nice enough to give you samples of cheese to try at the deli area. They have wine tastings and sometimes they even make the delicious Manhattan drinks. I've spent thousands of dollars here and never once have I been upset with the service. If you are looking for extremely expensive liquor that runs in the thousands, well, here is your place to come. They also will order any drinks that they do not carry for you. Staff will always check the back to see if they have more if it isn't on the shelf, great service as I said. Huge selection of mixers, wines, cheeses, liquors, and tons of different craft beers. Lines are quick, usually two cashiers per checkout door.

Helpful, friendly staffed, and usually very well-staffed, so that I'm not wandering around looking for help. Great selection of prosecco, wine, craft beer, and cider. If you're looking for some harder-to-find liquors as well, like Pimm's for example, or Absinthe - this is the place to go. Well-laid out, clean, and lots of variety in price. Also if you're last minute gift shopping they have a lot of cute gifts, including international foods, and anything can be gift-wrapped for a small fee!

Don't be deceived by its name: Gary's Wine offers a lot more than a large variety of wines. You'll also find fine cheeses and other delicacies here, as well as liquors, and more. They also offer tastings from time to time. This is a very pleasant place to shop. Just remember to put a healthy pause between the first two words, or it comes out sounding like Gary Swine :)

I really like their selection and approach - as well as the fact that Gary still supervises the process and asks the clients if he can help with anything. I liked most of David’s (General Manager of Madison store) recommendations (and I am very very picky about the wines) and the overall shopping experience was so much nicer and more educated comparing with an average liquor shop (where the guys don’t have any clue about the wines that they sell and just tell you “it’s a great choice” to make you pay for it quicker). They have great choices for any budget and if you want something special, they will try to find and order it for you. My great respect goes to Gary who built and maintains this amazing culture focused on giving the best experience to his clients.

What is there to say about an establishment that began very modestly to one with two very customer centric stores that fulfill almost all of one's spirits and condiments demands. I say excellent.
