Costco alternative, but need better return policy.

Managment for the most part non existent or just say sorry company policy or some preconceived answer on how to avoid really addressing the problem like on hold for 20mins while on hold walk to mechanics and pay and pickup car then drive to the actual store talk to management they say wait a min and come back and tell you sorry no call on hold I show them time holding hang up and show the number no real response. Employees in my opinion are not trained well except to avoid answering. Trying to just set up an appointment for a tire rotation took took 2 hours and me driving there to make one. To some may not mean much but if you have school kids and a sick wife time is more important than saving a couple buck sometimes. That's not including the other calls since 8am.

Customer service is terrible. I am from So California, and customer service there is excellent. I have been to this location several times ( bringing a grandkid to college on this island) and I have experienced truly bad customer service.......especially from the front " service" desk.

Tired replaced done when Cliff said it would be done I just went shopping & returned & car was done. It may take awhile to get some one on the phone but any one on the floor willing to help if asked! ) I like Sam's does not seem as overloaded as Costco, people fighting for parking at costco, I've had bad service at costco also. You can see the staff standing around just talking to each other not paying no mind to the customer unless it's closing time then they will seek you out! They both have their Faults, but I prefer Sams to Costco price wise, as well as shopping experience. I only have Costco mbrship for the Gas, since sams gas is out in Pearl city don't want to drive that far! ) I'm just saying! )

The best feature of Sam’s Club is the SCAN & GO! All you do is download the app to your phone, scan items when you put it in your basket, when you’re done, total it and pay with a card and show your receipt on your way out! NO WAITING IN CHECK OUT LINES! I also like their variety of goods low prices and the lay out of the store. Don’t plan on grabbing a quick bite at food court because the wait is endless. So is the line at customer service. SCAN & GO! TRY IT!

I just wish the had a better selection of Hispanic foods l have seen more than a year ago good job. Cheaper than Wal-Mart. Dave's bread is $6.98 at Wal-Mart but only $5 at Sam's Club. If you are still shopping for groceries at Wal-Mart you are throwing away money. Save 20-30% off your grocery bill by going upstairs to Sam's Club.

Sams club is the best place i want to go there is good stuff for a good price water for $498 (40 pack) and in wal_mart $398(24 pack) and the food court is very cheap for a price but the shopping carts are sometimes are broken and LOUD! There is stuff on sale that i need to get witch it is good!

It's where I shop. The people that I observed that shop there seems there in there own world. They can't drive. It's like they never drove before and today is when I want to try it. It seems they need the whole world to back up and their going to do it real slow. It takes them a few tries but eventually get it. It seems also that some of them (a lot) will get in the way of the workers trying to do there job . I was watching one off the guys that collects the shopping carts and almost every time he'll bring a lot of them to the front entrance and someone will walk right in front of him and stop. So the worker has to stop the long train of carts before he runs them over. I bet you he would like to. I've been going there for about 13 years and I've talked to the workers now and then I think he's new there. This guy is amazing a real hard worker I think he puts the other guys to shame especially the young guys. He's definitely old school. I talked to him briefly and what a nice guy. Anyway I like shopping there and I'll keep shopping there. I live close.

Like shopping here for several reasons. They open at 7am, so am able to get all my shopping completed early. Like their covered parking at their 2 locations - not having to get into a hot car sitting out in the hot sun. They provide cutting services in their meat section unlike Costco. Can give them meat items that I need cut on their band saw while I continue shopping and so literally no waiting. Oftentimes they will have meat items marked down which helps in my savings. Otherwise their products and services are similar to Costco

Worst customer service ever!! Called the Honolulu location 4 times in the past 2 days...got hung up on after being transferred. Waiting on hold from 20 to 40min each time. Ordered picture calendars for gifts and supposed to be ready by the 10th...now it's the 15th and we're leaving to Japan tomorrow! Still no calendars...Stopped and talk to them and the only excuse has been we we are in Hawaii and the dates differ here...no sorry...no empathy...no nothing!! I own a business and buy a ton of supplies from them, printing paper, tablets, pens, etc. No more! I'm taking my business to Costco...only went to Sam's because they were a little closer but no more!!

Best parts about this Sam's Club - the Pharmacy, Optical, Automotive, Tobacco and the Customer Service Departments. The worst parts - driving near Keeaumoku and the parking during daylight hours, the inconsiderate way many people park here, (like they're blind, dumb or careless), the weird (inconvenient) Pharmacy hours, and the "cattle drive" to get out thru the front doors.

The great thing about this location is you can buy bulk items cheap and small items downstairs at Walmart although parking can be a nightmare as well as getting in and out of the parking structure. While shopping at Sam's Club also know that the self-checkout is credit cards only no cash, and the shortest checkout lines are usually flatbed dollies only.

Went to Sam's Club (Keeaumoku-Honolulu) to change my car battery. They charged me for a new battery. I was lead to believe service was done. One month later my car would not start. I had it towed to dealership and discovered the original factory battery was still in my car. Long story short Sam's club ripped me off. Charged me for a new battery that they did not install. Double check their work before you leave. Attempting to get a refund. Let's see how they handle service recovery!

Worst customer service. Answers phone straight to hold without any acknowledgement. Tire dept. phone loops to main customer service and you get put on hold. Then transfered back to tire to get looped back to customer service and put on hold. Gave up and drove down to club while still on hold. Waste of time. I shop here on occasion when I am getting tired of the Costco selection and need a change. I've always known it to be a dive in comparison to Costco. My wife compares Costco to Sams Club as Target to Walmart. Trashier people, trashier facilities, crappier merchandise. Well on this particular visit, I just stopped off for lunch. From the moment I set eyes on the grizzled looking woman behind the lunch counter with dark hair protruding out of her mole smack dab on her neck I knew I was in for it. My burger was burnt and old. Probably had been waiting under the heat lamp for a good 2 hours waiting for some poor unsuspecting soul to be foolish enough to purchase it. The carbonation on the soda machines were out. Literally all 4 were out. I'm pretty sure that each machine has its own carbonation supply so for all of them to be out means that the employees just don't give a $hit. I noticed an associate nearby sweeping the floor, so I tell her. Her response: "Oh I'm only maintenance, you need to talk to the people behind the lunch counter." Geeze! By this time, there are like 10 people in line so there is no way I am going to stand in line for 10 minutes just to tell them that. Whatever! I fill up on a non-carbonated fruit punch which starts spluttering at me during the process. Turns out, the syrup is out too cause it tastes like red water. I then proceed out the sliding door to eat outside. But, oh wait, the sliding door is broken. Of course! Why am I not surprised? Just wrap it up in caution tape and put a black trash bag around it, Hawaii! That's what you do for everything else! I finish my extremely unsatisfying meal and get the F out of there. I try to take the elevator down but one of the elevators is jammed and is ringing out a constant beeping noise. Given the events of the day at Sam's Club, I was not about to step foot in the elevator and get stuck for the next 5 hours. So I take the stairs. Normally I would think this prudent considering I just ate a cheeseburger and soda but my cheeseburger was so burnt that I don't think there was a hint of fat left in it and my soda was... well... unsugared red drink so.... ya know. To top it all off, and one that just added a smile to my face, as I exit the stairs at the lower level, a "gentleman" purchasing a soda at the vending machines lets out the largest, juiciest fart ever in front of everyone walking past. Check your pants man!

I have been a member at this location for 13 years. Recently there has been a procedural change in exiting the store. The attendant at the exit door now scans your receipt and then is prompted to scan the bar code on one of your items, which forces them to go searching through your cart to locate this item. This timely step is causing the line to exit the store to extend past the food court... after I have already taken the time to maneuver through the store and check out. If this policy continues, I will be terminating my membership and taking my business elsewhere.

The food court was horriable the pizza I had bought was supposed to be a fresh pizza but instead they gave me a frozen pizza. I tried calling but they never let me through which means they never answered. The pizza was supposed to have a traditional crust but the pizza I got was a flatbread. We even gave them more than enough time to make our pizza this is so unacceptable!! I had also witnessed that this sams club threw away perfectly good pizzas into the trash how wasteful !!!

I already paid online so why do I still have to check-in at the kiosk, hound customer service to help me, then wait for them to print out a receipt? I always enjoy shopping at Sam's Club in Honolulu. Just this one day a clerk of yours was very rude to me. I had walked to where the cigarettes are kept and proceeded to ask purchasing a carton. She was in the cage and I was outside. She asked a question and I could not here her clearly so she said didn't you hear what I said and I replied, No. I asked you what you wanted and I said, Cigarettes. Her comment: I can hear you and I said but the noise from the restroom area drowned out your question. She was rude and really cocky. this is the first time I have been treated by anyone at Sam's Club. I have kept the receipt for further reference. If she ever attempts to help me , I will walk away and find another associate. This incident occurred on 9/17/2017 at 1:30 pm. I still have my receipt. I will continue to shop at Sam's and not let this associate who I believe needs customer training deter me.

When I come here, I usually just get bananas and cereals. I prefer buying my vegetables at Chinatown Marketplace at Dillingham Boulevard by the Satellite City Hall. Besides the ample and covered parking, one thing that is appreciated is that the lines move pretty good unlike Costco in Iwilei. People become animals there before they even enter the store. Just in the parking lot, you see people racing to get a spot close to the entrance. I usually go here at 7pm, just before closing. Not much people. Overall, good prices, covered and ample parking, and convenient. Best of all without Costco-like mayhem.

It's a madhouse with so many coming and going. Wahine, she went to lower level for WalMart drive-by. We got separated. I was without cell or means to contact her. Very distressed. I kept telling different greeters who to expect, please let her in. Faces look ugly when you're alone. Then I met Leslie in optical. She sat down with me. Such a relief. By end of story, she'd connected us back together again and chaos put to rest. Shout out to Aida in the aloha shirt section, who monitored wahine's Tagalog. If you get this, Aida, please know she still want to talk. Folks like Leslie & Aida made for rave review.

Going at off peak times like today is when I go usually 7am but today 12pm on a Thursday and not crowded; the place is clean, easy to navigate, parking is easy and 4 of 5 stars because staff walks by with out greeting at least a nod, some eye contact, etc, anything would almost be acceptable; I would recommend.

The lines are ridiculous. There is zero order and organization and the scan and go has ALWAYS been on the right (which is a loose term since I'm lucky if there's actually two true lines).. but today it was on the left apparently and I was so frustrated and the check out clerks.... zero understanding of my frustrations. There needs to be two formal divided lines and there needs to be. LARGE signs designating the two and there needs to be a customer service person that is responsible for making sure it's followed... guiding people to the right line. If it is this insane on a regular day... holiday time is going to be a mess!! Scan and go is why I don't go to Costco unless I HAVE to... don't screw up a good thing but not handling the line issue SMARTLY. Z

Just left Sam's Club where a customer is rolling his shopping cart with his dog sitting on a gym bag in the cart through the grocery and produce section. When I asked about store policy, the lady at the exit said they were told they could not inquire about dogs. Costco management implemented service dogs only several months ago. Catch up Sam's. Hope you don't put your kids in Sam's shopping carts.

This Sam's club is far better than the one in Pearl City. Much better organized and easier to move through. There aren't any lines in the self-checkout lane when I went and the lines in the normal lanes weren't too bad either. I couldn't find the gas station, if there is one attached, and that's half the reason I got the membership in the first place, so I take a star off for that

Horrible customer service. Calling is almost a waste of time and effort. They rarely pick up quickly and then when they do pick up and transfer the call to a manager, no one answers. Was in line , today, to buy pizza. The line was so long that it almost blocking people trying to get out. There was only one register opened! Pretty obvious the management is incompetent.

Great location for the non-islanders who are staying in Waikiki. Very close to Alamoana Mall. Don't have a Sam's Club membership not a problem since Walmart is on the main floor. Strongly encourage anyone who is visiting Waikiki to hit up Sam's Club or Walmart. Can save you big money rather than buying all of your groceries etc at the ABC stores down in Waikiki.

Good Distance from anywhere in Waikiki. Sam's is upstairs. Walmart is downstairs. Parking g is in the same building. Cool thing is that it has local goodies.

* Updated below * The Keeaumoku Sam’s Club location customer service counter is critically lacking customer service. My wife spent over 30 minutes on hold when rudely placed on hold by the store representative, only to have the rep hang up on her at the end of the call. It is obvious why this store is on the verge of possibly closing. Where is the customer service in an industry that caters to customers, is corporate aware? Recently, Sam’s has stepped up in customer service, they may still need some support on staff availability to the customer though. Updated their rating to 4. Thank you Sam’s Club.

Today, not always but today these guys get a one star. I left a salmon filet in the kiddie seat of the shopping cart and drove away, My fault, I get it but I parked all the way in the back where no one else was and not being that busy it may have still have been there. When I realize my mistake and called over asking if I could have some check where I had parked I got the "everyone was busy doing carry outs. Aren't they going to the parking lot????

Fast to check out, but slow to get out. Get the Sam's App. It will speed things up a lot except they never have enough people working the door to speed the exit.

For the best experience at Sam's Club, make sure you download their "Scan 'n Go" app. This is a different app then the Sam's Club app you can search for products on. With the scan n go app, you never have to stand in a check out line! The only reason I am not giving this location 5 stars is that they don't offer discounted Sam's Gas.

Way too crowded, very unpolite and inefficient employees, before exiting the store, after I payed at the cashier, not at the self checkout I had to wait about 10 minutes in line only to have the person checking the carts for errors treating me as a thief. She counted all my 35 items twice and really took her time doing it! Later on, to top it all, I found a very long hair in my poke that was purchased at Sam's club!

Its great fo have a place like this in town where we can get our bulk groceries and other items. It is a crazy place to park and entering/leaving the parking lot can be crazy during busy times.

This is one of the nicest Sam's Clubs I've ever been too. It's on the 3rd floor above the Wal-Mart. Went in, to look around. It was very clean and well stocked. I saw them packing and roasting tons of rotisserie chickens. I bought 3 foil pans of just rotisserie chicken breasts for only $3.98 each. Took them back to my room, at the Imperial. Gonna eat for days for only 12 bucks. And they use Lawrys Seasoned Salt on them. Stop in and stock up on food. It's a really great price.
