It was awesome I love the atmosphere and the review incredible
We went back and were pleased that everything was still as we expected .Great wine and view of the mountains, the owners were very friendly and great to talk with.
Amazing views
Nice views
Beautiful location, friendly staff 1812 wine is my new favorite!
Music was way too load for such a small place. I had to yell to speak to people in our party. The wine was fair but overly priced.
Love this vineyard! Great wine and beautiful views!
Fun environment and great wines!
Laid back and beautiful!
Beautiful view. The rose is very good
The views and the wine are amazing love this place
Lovely cozy vineyard complete with outdoor seating and goats!
This place has a beautiful view. I thought the wine was good and the games were fun. I saw some bears in the vineyard while I was there which was exciting.
Best place ever
Great wines. Knowledgeable staff. AMAZING View.
Pros: Beautiful views / scenery, live music is nice, super friendly staff, $12 for 7 tastings is good Cons: The wines are all mostly way too sweet, and uninteresting for the few dry ones. The food is pretty expensive too ($18 for a plastic wrapped premade cheese tray), so eat before coming.
Love this place! A bit of a drive to the mountains but the property is very well maintained. The goats and their enclosure are all very clean. The goats will let you pet them as well as the dogs. The view is great looking out over the vineyard and the mountains. Great experience especially when there's live music. It's a small venue but worth the drive.
Awesome views. Great wine. Friendly staff. Great place to hang out. Would definitely recommend for a date and for small to medium sized groups.
Love this place. Delicious wines, ambiance and wonderful winery to bring our visitors to.
Visited this place during my sister-in-law‘s bachelorette party. Really fun!
The atmosphere is fantastic here! The vineyard is nestled up in the North Georgia Mountains and the views are spectacular. The staff is super friendly and happy to help. They even do weddings here! The live music was a great touch to our visit. Highly recommend visiting this hidden treasure.
This vineyard is a must see for anyone going to the Ellijay/Blue Ridge area for a weekend. Great tasting room with an unparalleled view.
Great Great wine. What an awesome adventure. Definitely will be back soon
Excellent place to visit! Enjoyed a cheese platter & glass of wine with live music!
Really good wine, but not kid friendly like they stated on their website. Minimum requirements of being kid friendly in my mind is a diaper changing table of some sort and they did not have that. Definitely dog friendly though. Didn't really feel comfortable with my two kids there so if you're on the fence, leave them home. Nothing against the place, just putting it out there if other parents are trying to decide like I do ahead of time.
Love the atmosphere.
Blech
There's not a lot that can be said about the fainting goat other than it is just fantastic. A great place to relax and enjoy a very delicious wine tasting menu and extremely Scenic views with some fantastic people.
Wine on a porch on a hilltop view with fainting goats below awesome experience!
Awesome experience, very helpful staff. Friendly, they didn't rush us. We saw a random sign on the way to Helen and decided to stop in and see what they had to offer. Excellent wines and a good beer selection too.
A very calm ambience. Beautiful views and friendly dogs and goats.
Beautiful location. Great wine and staff
We went on a Saturday and brought a picnic lunch and the weather was nice enough that we ate out side over looking the Vineyard with an outstanding view of the mountains. Good wine, congenial and knowledgeable staff. They make you feel comfortable regardless your wine knowledge. They offer wine tasting as well. Go you will enjoy it. Other offering, music food etc but too much to get into here . Check their website directions and offerings.
The views just breathtaking, great to take pictures!
Pretty vineyard in the mountians just outside Jasper off Burnt Mtn. Rd.
Five Stars!! Fourth year in a row. Lovely family, beautiful setting, it's a must see every time we go to north Georgia. I am partial to the Sweet Wines and oh goodness, Something Blue is fantastic!! Jackie O, classic taste! Next time a case of each! Can't wait till our next visit !!
We had great time tasting the wines and enjoying the beautiful view. I wish there were more dry reds but we still enjoyed all they had to offer. Family owned from what I could tell and they were all very nice. The live music was a great!
Great views, the wine is a little pricey but good. Bring your own food. Nice music also.
Stumbled upon this beautiful place and it is amazing. The wine is pretty good. Per my wife.
This was our first wine tasting and couldn't have picked a better or more beautiful place. The scenery is just gorgeous and the wine tastes amazing. If you are looking for a great relaxing atmosphere to drink wine and listen to awesome live music this is the place! This is a wonderful family owned place to visit. So friendly and helpful.we will definitely return for more great wine!!! Its really worth more than 5 stars!!
We had a great time tasting wines, yet there were thousands of flying insects while sitting outside. The sun felt great, but you had to be in the wind to enjoy yourself.. The bugs looked like small flying ants that did not bite.. They did not taste to bad either... Just about every sip of wine, they had to be removed from the glass.. I am sure it was just the timing of the season, as I have been here before and never had that problem occur.. I will be back again soon.
We tried the 8 wine flight. All the wine was over sweet and acidic. The majority of the wine was made from grapes that were not grown at the vineyard. We went on a Saturday when live music was promised, there was none. The snacks offered were overpriced.
Views amazing, and wine is decent. Love music made for a great evening. Only missed the extra star because of the $10 tasting that was four glasses with the smallest size sip.
Had fun listening to good music and the wine was incredible
Beautiful vineyard and GORGEOUS venue. Can't wait for it to be open to the public!
Great wine, great view , great service great atmosphere
This place is great! They have a good variety of dry, sweet, semisweet and dessert wines to sample! You get 4 tastings for 10$ which is very reasonable and the view is great from the two decks you can sit on to enjoy a glass or bottle of the wines available! There are two resident fainting goats named Ronnie & Reagan to hang out with as well.
Wonderful place to spend some time. And their wine is good too!
What a beautiful view from this sweet vineyard! Great band and cool bartender!
Most pleasant view and setting. Convivial, quaint, down-home, not-for-sophists kinda place. New, small vineyard that's just getting to point where it can make its own wine. It's developing its familial skill set to make some serious wines. Pricey, simple hors d'ouvres, but you're getting a beautiful mountainside view over the nascent vineyard, and maybe even a musician. Yes, there are goats, and they occasionally faint…without serious consequence (didn't witness that). And there are two enormous but friendly Great Pyrenees dogs to keep the bears away from the vines. Goats & dogs fenced. Enjoy.
Very good Georgia wines. The wine tasting hosts were very friendly and the porch from the tasting room has great views. They also make amazing smelling candles out of old wine bottles.
So glad we stopped here!
The drive up was AMAZING! The staff was very friendly and welcoming also! And the wine was wonderful! Loved it!
Wine tasting selections was great, the views are absolutely breathtaking. Had a great time. This place is amazing for dates. The music was phenomenal.
It is nice. Quite a way up. Not much else around. Very friendly. Good wine.
Loved this place even in the fog
Awesome place! The view is spectacular and so if the wine. You can bring a picnic basket and enjoy the music and scenery. Hopefully you'll see a goat faint. Yes, they do faint....lol.
Very polite. Felt right at home. The space was gorgeous and the wine was amazing. Would definitely return!
We were on our way to Helen GA and saw this place, were drawn to it because of the name! Came on a Monday afternoon, it was very peaceful, there were probably 4 other couples there while we were there. They have a nice seating area inside as well as outside on a 2nd level deck. They do have 2 fainting goats, as well as their own small vineyard. We did the wine tasting (4 one oz samples for $10) and each got a glass of wine to drink while we sat on the deck overlooking the beautiful mountain scenery. A sign said they have events coming up, we will be looking into those in the future!
Great winery experience with excellent wines and an unbelievable view!
Excellent views , amazing wines...and goats!
Beautiful place wine wasn't that good
The wine, coffee and cheesecake were all absolutely amazing! We tasted 4 types of wine and "Impeachment" was my favorite! The service was great. We were in the area celebrating our 5 year anniversary and the owners graciously gave us a cheesecake plate on the house. The live music was great as well ♡♡
I was visting the winery this summer. I liked America werry well, but than this (fake) winery showed up. Unfriendly people with no respect who treatend you like criminals or something. The only good thing's were the sandwiches (witch the don't make them selfs). My advise: don't come there. The view is great but the winery it self is discusting. Greetings from the Netherlands.
We love this place! The two sweetest great pyranese pups you ever met, great wine, and gorgeous views. When it warms up and the sun stays out a bit later, it's hard to leave at closing time. Love the music and the lawn as well. Thank goodness we live around the corner so I guess being regulars is a must.
A little bit of heaven....Beautiful views, great atmosphere, and the perfect glass of wine!
We have been frequenting Fainting Goat for the last few years and absolutely LOVE it there. The family who owns and runs this amazing vineyard is lovely and the environment is charming. It is a beautiful place to enjoy great wine and scenery. You can do a tasting of several wonderful whites and/or reds or order a nice bottle to share with your friends on the patio. The Carlos and 1812 are excellent wines to try. There are wonderful cheese plates and other goodies to purchase. We just moved out of state and will miss being able to visit this great establishment!
We recently held our rehearsal dinner at Fainting Goat for our March wedding. The whole team was absolutely WONDERFUL to work with, and guests are still talking the wine and views! I even had a family member buy a case of wine to bring back with her, that's just how wonderful it was
Fantastic views ... Great hosts and the 1812 is a nice Smooth Cab. Will definitely be back on my next drive up to North Georgia.
Beautiful view from the modest sized balcony and plenty of room below as well as inside for the busy days. Several reds and whites to choose from along with a couple of sweets. Convenient access via a short drive to Jasper. Vineyard itself is small and note that wines are not bottled on site yet, but are locally.
I visited Fainting Goat on a rainy gloomy fall afternoon this week. That quickly changed when i walked through the front door. I was greeted by Robin and McKenzie and the warmth of the tasting room. The room was beautiful and the interesting stories that went with the wines made for a perfect evening. The entertainment and staff were first class and the generous "pourings" did not hurt either.I can see why people are booking this place for events. Put this place on your 'must visit' list.
Beautifully situated in the N. Georgia mountains. Nice wine tasting. The Liberty was my favorite! Beautiful view of the vineyard and the mountains. And yes....they have 2 goats!
The wine is excellent and the cheese plate is awesome. Will not be dissapointed, a must do if you are in the Jasper area.
Really enjoyed this place! The scenery was great, the staff was very hospitable, and the wines were amazing! Live music was a bonus. Will definitely be back with friends!
Beautiful wines, beautiful surroundings a must see.
Beautiful vineyards in North Georgia. Fantastic wine with very knowledgeable staff. Would definitely recommend getting a flight of wines and trying something a little different. The views from outside are absolutely incredible over the mountains. Would 100% go back again
Cute and quaint. Friendly staff. Wonderful skin products as well. Good wine. Good entertainment.
Very nice place, owner was very friendly. Kids loved it there and enjoyed the chocolate cake. I wouldn't hesitate to bring children.
Great views.. Great wine and live music on the weekend
The 1812 is pretty amazing! Views are excellent.
Their wine is amazing, and their location is beautiful. Kids wanting to see the fainting goats but they didn't "faint. They still loved it though and you just have to do the wine tasting. Very friendly staff.
Expensive!!! $38 a bottle of wine & a small cheese plate $20!!! Nice setting! Travel to a lot of wineries to spend afternoon! You can’t do that here without spending a fortune!
The blueberry wine is the best!!
Beautiful scenery. Friendly staff. Great wine with decent pricing.
This is a great place to unwind with a glass of wine and enjoy the view. There is a good variety of wine to chose from and a small selection of appetizers such as a cheese plate. You can also wander the grounds and visit the actual fainting goats in their pen. My wife and I visit regularly.
Very quaint and quiet, just what we were looking for. Beautiful scenery from the deck!
Very personal, good wine and great view!
Small and quaint. Beautiful scenery and the goats are ADORABLE.
We love it here. Wine is excellent, location is adorable! Seeing the goats and cute dogs is an added bonus.
Cool place makes a nice afternoon stop have a glass of wine some cheese enjoy the view.It is a little pricey though.
Wonderful view. Lovely server. Very knowledgeable.
Good wine and great location!
Found this little gem while visiting nearby orchards and had an amazing time. This particular day they had live music and a special on wine tasting. Our sommelier Cody was the best, it was a group of 5 ladies and he was knowledgeable and spot on with his descriptions of the samples. The venue is 2 story lodge with huge windows facing the Blue Ridge Mountains beautiful views. You can bring your own food, the also have a small menu with cheeses and desserts along with other items, they have goats on the property and plenty of out outdoor seating. You will definitely have a great time here.
Very friendly young lady working there. Great view from deck. Good wines and dog friendly.
Gorgeous property with great outdoor views and friendly staff. We didn’t particularly care for the 3 wines we tried and found it to be expensive (~$8-11/glass) relative to other wineries in the area.
Gorgeous views, adorable goats. Oh. And really good cabernet!
Beautiful views. I love this place. So calm and so nice. Great wines, decent cheese plate.
the impeachment is absolutely phenomenal!!!! the view is glorious!!! 100% reccomend!!!! I drove an hour and a half to get here and every minute was worth it!!!!!
Wine is wonderful , I will go back here very soon
None of the wine served is grown on the estate (at least not yet). And seriously, for $20, I expected the cheese plate to be 3x bigger than it was. The rosé was good but the cost of a bottle was way overpriced too. Having a nice view from the patio made it better value for the money, but I wouldn’t agree to come back until prices are reduced.
Very nice. Good wine and great entertainment. Rainy and foggy day so we couldn't enjoy the views.
Enjoyed every minute
Nice little place - decent wines. They have a nice outdoor area and we enjoyed listening to Troy Underwood playing live music. Nice family fun atmosphere.
Amazing views. Wonderful hosts. Delicious wine. An all-around fantastic time!
My wife enjoyed the wine, I enjoyed the view
Great wines expensive though and u cant even keep the glass but love the view
A warm welcoming environment with great wine to boot!
This is one of my favorite places to visit and it helps that the people are so friendly and diffuse from the deck of Wonderful
Gal with the blonde hair was very knowledgeable and very nice wines. Great mountain views
Good wines, friendly knowledgeable people, fantastic view
Great wine, awesome view. The best view of any winery I've been to in Georgia.
My son had his wedding here, it was the most beautiful experience. The scenery keeps changing as the day wares on, and the sunset is out of this world. We would recommend Fainting Goats Vineyard to anyone, we enjoyed it so much we even had our daughters engagement party there.
Lovely wine, wonderful space to relax and enjoy an afternoon. While I wish they had more food options to pair with the wine, but I will definitely be returning.
Beautiful place, nice place to meet up and taste wine and cheese.not much room though
Fantastic! The wines, the view, the people. Everything was amazing.
Great wine and scenery!
Gotta admit, branding is everything; the name drew us in and we loved it. Beautiful landscape and views while sitting outside enjoying their selections. One of us did wine tasting, and the rest had glasses (you can also get bottles). Their 1812 is off the charts. Everything was good, also had the cheese plate. Service was excellent from everyone on the grounds. The couple who own the vineyards were sitting next to us and were very approachable. They also have a selection of glasses and shirts inside you can purchase. They don't ship bottles yet.
This has to be one of the best winery places I ha e ever been to
Great local winery. I had the 1812 one of there dryer wines as I am not a big fan of Georgia grapes and I really enjoyed it. The bottle price was too expensive but I would stop buy again for a glass and enjoy the incredible views.
Went to the 2017 Winestock festival and the wine was okay but the setup was terrible. Waited 20 minutes every time you wanted to get a sample or glass of wine. Spent more time waiting around than enjoying the festival. Outside food was allowed however.
My wife and I loved the view and there was live music the day we visited. We prefer sweet wines and only found one that we liked. We will definitely come back next time when we have more time to get a bottle of wine and a cheese plate and relax on their patio.
We all have those happy places where we close our eyes and go to when we are stressed; this is mine. Unbelievably relaxing and makes you forget about all of your worries. Nice people, great wine, goats, and two amazing dogs in the mountains with an incredible view. What more could you ask for?
Great place to sit and relax with a great mountain view.
Absolutely beautiful views with awesome service, live music and fantastic wine.
I love this place we have been there about 4 times and still counting
The staff was very polite and professional as well as knowledgeable about their wine choices. They even teach how to experience all the notes of the wine sample to get the full effect. After sampling we started a tab and enjoyed the magnificent views of the Blue ridge mountains, and their beloved goat pen area, as well as soaking in some sunshine while enjoying their marvelous wine. It was worth pausing on the travels trail to enjoy their talents and wine!! :)
Treated to Mother's day brunch by my girls. Very unorganized. "3 wine pairings" were less than 3 ounces total. food was good but ran out. Way over priced for what was provided. great potential but lacked delivery. hopefully there will be improvement.
Beautiful place, great views and great live guitar player. Fantastic wine and dog friendly relaxing place.
WOW......Awesome experience! Great wines, fantastic view, great time with the owners! We came up on a Monday afternoon and had the run of the place. Robin, one of the owners, treated us like long lost family and helped us through a tasting. She also introduced us to the family. Mona the cat, Ronnie & Reagan the goats, and their two dogs, Rosebud and I can't remember the other pups name, oh yeah, and her husband Dave. We wound up closing the place and left with a case of very, very good wine! I highly recommend visiting this vintner, their winery, and the whole family! I know we'll be back!
Staff is friendly and the wine is very good
Visited right before a thunderstorm. Bought 3 bottles and was shocked at the price. The wife wanted them so i bought them.
Beautiful grounds and facility with beautiful hilltop views, and plenty of parking. Unfortunately, none of the wines offered was grown or produced by this vineyard as they are new, but the least expensive bottle available was $30. Many were bottled by a fantastic winery around the corner - Chateau Meichtry (check them out!). Also, our attendant was not very personable, and seemed least interested in answering my questions about the wine, the winery, etc. The whole experience was a bit stuffy compared to the charming, inviting experience of several other nearby vineyards (that grow their own grapes).
Great wine
Wish there was more to see
Went here for the first time and had a great time! We took friends here that were visiting from Laguna Beach and we all found wines we loved! We will be back!
Such a beautiful place! The scenery is absolutely breathtaking.
Great views from here. Didn't try the wine but friends did.
You should try the wine tasting something blue with tonic water and fresh fruit makes for a refreshing drink
