Ric & I played a wonderful birthday party at Chateau Meichtry. We drove into the beautiful vineyards and were welcomed by Todd (owner) and took time to view the winery and countryside. It was a perfect night for the party, with delicious food from Coast to Coast, a great selection of wines, and dancing on the patio to the music of The Loose Shoes. We’ll be back❣️

I am so happy to have stumbled on this lovely place. Came with my family and we really enjoyed our time here. It was our last stop on the way back home and it was a perfect way to end our little weekend getaway. We had the sweetest dog greet us on arrival. Service was excellent. Ana was wonderful, informative and made us feel so welcome. Looking forward to our next visit back.

The chateau is rustic fun time! The wine tastings are affordable and the cafe has fun and music options. Try the Georgia Cuvee as it's primary grape is Norton. Plan an hour or more for your visit. Give them a heads up for wheel chair options.

We enjoyed all their whites and reds. We ended up buying a bottle of Merlot and Chardonnay. This is not cheap wine ($20+), but worth every penny. We are looking forward to returning and bringing friends to "picnic" in their patio area and enjoy the live music.

My sister and I went to this winery as our last stop of our wine tour and I just wish this was our first stop. This place is amazing. We frequent the Texas wine country and decided to come here on a whim. The surroundings are great, but we hung out, did a tasting and had a couple glasses of wine. The host Wesley was great and recommended some additional things for us to do based on what we were looking for. For sick a young vineyard, their wines are exceptional.

Good choices and varieties on White. Need more developments in Red overall. Knowing it's the Memorial Day Weekend. The entire staff seemed too lost. Plus, they do not rinse glasses between courses.

Visited the winery this past Friday. We had the pleasure of having Wesley serving us for our wine tasting. He was super friendly, funny and just an all around nice guy. We spent a couple hours at the winery, bought a few bottles of wine and enjoyed the beautiful countryside. Very peaceful relaxing spot. Will definitely come again if we are in the area.

My friend and I had an amazing experience at the Chateau Meichtry Family Vineyard and Winery!! The girl who did our tasting was so friendly and knowledgable. We did not take a tour as those are only done on the weekends with groups of 6, but we were able to walk around the grounds and enjoy the views - which were amazing with the mountains in the background! They also had plenty of seating indoors and outdoors and also had covered/non-covered outdoor seating. I look forward to going back again!!!

Our friends are Barrel Club Members and invited us on a day trip. Not only will we be going back, but I highly recommend you go too! Having never been to a winery, I had no idea what to expect. I was more than pleasantly surprised. The land and ambiance, beautiful. The warm charm and welcoming staff made you feel at home as soon as you walked in the door. The wine tasting was darling, and we ended up choosing 2 bottles for our table. However, those are not the only reasons we will be returning. The family that owns and runs the place are sincere, genuine, and kind. The father took us on a tour, even though it was raining. Sharing fun stories and charming history. There was also a super uncomfortable situation with the table next to ours. So uncomfortable that the gentleman at that table assumed I was an employee and told me I should get their daughter a free chocolate cup. **Awkward** The young lady handling the situation, the owner's daughter, handled it with a smile and grace, never losing her cool. They could have easily asked the table to leave and all those surrounding them would have supported that decision. She didn't, she just diffused the problem and handled it with a poise that not many possess. Any family run business that is run like that, is a business that I will absolutely support. We are now discussing becoming Barrel Club Members ourselves. Grab your friends and head to Chateau Meichtry. You can bring your own picnic or hit up the food truck when there is one. Enjoy good wine and music. Connect with family and friends. Make new friends. You can do all this and more knowing you're supporting a great family business.

My goodness best winery ever! This topped off a weeklong blue ridge vacation with my wife. Unlike others, the wines range from award winning dry, to moscato-like sweet dessert and fruit wines. No aftertaste. The staff was amazing! We joked around 30 minutes past closing time, generous portions, reasonable prices, beautiful setting. Great atmosphere, classy yet homey. Seriously this place has something for the connoisseur, or beginners like my wife and I, someone who likes homemade fruit wines. I've never had so much fun at a winery or brewery!

What a hidden gem! My friends who have visited California said this was the one most like Napa Valley vineyards in north GA. Beautiful property, food trucks on site with live music. The owner had up a sign: "Come as strangers, leave as friends. We're glad you're here.", and he came and spoke to us as we pulled up. So friendly and welcoming! The wines were FANTASTIC - the reds were some of the best I've had in all of north GA. Can't wait to visit again!

Nestled in the valley between the mountains, this place is absolutely amazing. The only shame is that I cannot rate it above 5 stars. The scenery is breathtaking and the staff is very freindly and welcoming. They are knowledgeable as well. If I could live here, I would. Their reds are wonderful and their mulled wine is absolutely fantastic. They allow you to wander the premises as if you are family though they have just met you. Their dog is super freindly as well. The decor is nice with dim lighting, it makes you feel like you are in an old castle. I love it!
