I loved visiting the winery. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Such a laid back, enjoyable place. Oh, and the Foxy Peach wine is amazing. So glad that I brought some home. Beautiful all around!

Mike White

Blake Ennis

I wish I could tell you how the wine was, but after I was informed my dog (10 pounds and never even set a foot on the ground) and I were not welcome they took my wine from me and told me I needed to leave. Beware the owner of this place has a 100+ pound dog loose there who we were told has bit someone which is why no other dogs are allowed. The owner handled this poorly as they would not even come up to me but made a staff member do it. Very upset, I was up visiting from Florida and had to bring my dog everywhere, most wineries were understanding of this, this one was not. I would have understood more if their dog was not loose wandering around when it has had an issue before and my dog was never even near anyone.. Very disappointed as I was looking forward to trying this winery.

The owners and staff went above and beyond to make our son and daughter-in-law's wedding special. Pricilla was so organized and always smiling. Cavender Creek Vinyards is a great place for a wedding in the North Georgia Mountains!

Cloud Matuszewski

Wine was great! View was great! And with our two boys on vacation with us we appreciated how family friendly it was. They played corn hole, pet the donkeys, and met the two Great Pyrenees. They just built a new tasting room which was beautiful. Thank you for a lovey afternoon!

We stopped by this little place after going to 3 sisters winery. We were so impressed! This place was more welcoming and nice than the other one we visited. The wine was fabulous and the service was just as good. We wil be back for more! They had live music here which was great. Wish there was a little more seating, thats all.

Went here with my husband for wine tasting, it was the first time going to a Wine Vineyard for both of us and they did not disappoint! Everyone was polite and we got our wines for each tasting promptly. We did the 7 premium tastings and very shortly after we finished our glass, the girl came with the next one. Very friendly and always asking if we'd like or need anything else. She definitely knew her wines too because my husband and I have opposite tastes and she recommended good wines that we both enjoyed. I'm not a red wine fan at all, because I prefer things on the sweeter side, but I actually did enjoy some of their reds. To which my husband prefers a more full bodied wine and he really enjoyed their reds. The atmosphere is great, relaxing. Comfortable lounge and seating area inside and outside. Very clean. A great way to spend an afternoon, I really enjoyed myself.

Stumbled upon you by accident. Followed the signs...wow what a surprise. Down home. Great people. Wonderful owner and staff. The wine was wonderful...out on the porch made it that much better. Really didn't want to leave. Still had to make my way through the hills before dark

Carla Webb

Always a delightful place. The wines and the people make it so special. You will love the laid back atmosphere and the friendly staff. The owner is very personable and welcoming.

Tamara Kerkemeyer

Love coming here! Very relaxed. The donkeys are a unique touch.

We just had our wedding here and it was amazing! The staff was incredibly sweet and helpful. They did everything they could to allow us to enjoy our special day. Cavender is also one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! We are so thankful we found this place. It was very reasonably priced and absolutely breathtaking. Thank so much Priscilla!

Kerry Brock

Absolute favorite vineyard in North America. We buy cases when we can. It’s so incredibly good. Visit them. Leave your dog at home, because they have very protective Great Pyrenees that are there to protect their ranch.

I visited Cavender Creek Vineyards yesterday (Saturday) with my wife, 2 children (ages 5 & 3) and our 4 month old puppy. Upon exiting the tasting room, two Great Pyrennes dogs that apparently live on the property attempted to attack my puppy, who was on a leash. In doing so, I was bit on the left leg by one of the dogs, and the wound punctured the skin. Fortunately my children and puppy were not injured in the attack, but with the number of visitors that frequent the winery, this could easily escalate into a more serious situation. Beware if you plan to attend with your pet, as the dogs that live on property are not trustworthy. I am shocked that this winery would allow such animals to roam freely amongst their guests, knowing they have this tendency towards aggression.

Hilary Smith

Fantastic experience! The tasting room is large with not only a bar, but also tasting stations so that during the busy hours, no one feels cramped. It's obvious that the staff is passionate about wine and excited to share. Great variety of wine. Outdoor seating is nice.

Devin Tisdale

Great place!

Anthony Davis

Oh all the vineyards in North Georgia that we have been to, this one is our favorite. It is friendly, smaller, and has the best tastings of all the vineyards in North Georgia.

Jamie Ryal

Quaint vineyard and winery. Great wine and friendly service. Love it!

Scott Shepard

We didn’t have time stay long, but I did buy a few bottles of the Donkey Hottie (HO-tea) as in the man of La Mancha, that we we enjoyed 1 today.

Sean Price

Wasn't impressed.

Raymond and Donna are your excellent hosts at Cavender Creek. This winery is the only winery in the area that serves you four sample tastes of their excellent wine for free. My husband, sister and I enjoyed our entire tour of Dahlonega wineries, but Cavender Creek although small, rated #1 on our list. The wines are reasonably priced, as are the wine glasses and t-shirts. As a matter of fact, if you want a souvenir of your Georgia winery visit, get your t-shirt here-best prices for souvenir t-shirts. We are definitely going back and buying another case. A+++ winery.

John Mooney

Napa Valley in our back yard! The winery is charming with amazing wine! The tasting room is spacing with live music. It is worth the travel to the north Georgia mountains!!

James Szanyi

Tao Li-Stein

Nice wine tasting room, very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Brian Harvey

We've done several wineries today and this was definitely my favorite. Staff is friendly, live musician was awesome, wine is great. Evidently you can rent the cabin and stay which sounds cool. I wish they did a wine club.

Ben Mountcastle

This rustic style winery greeted us with live music and friendly staff. If you're an animal lover, like us, you'll find a couple dogs lounging around stealing attention from anyone offering. And if you like donkeys, we found three friendly ones out back that let us pet them and take pictures. Their tasting package was reasonably priced, and we got to keep the glasses also. They offered a balanced selection of dry, semi-sweet, and sweet wines all at reasonable prices per bottle for purchase. They also started something new this year offering some sangria fusions which are worth sampling.

Bachelorette Party

We absolutely loved this place. They had live music and the singer was a lot of fun. The wine was amazing and the dogs were huge. I wish I would have bought a bottle of wine to bring home. The place was awesome.

michael pearce

Best place to sit relax and have a glass of wine or wine tasting. Comfortable seating great atmosphere, they come to your seat for the wine tasting no need to wait in a line or stand at the bar! A must visit if you're in the area.

Danmara Alvarez

So quaint, beautiful, the bartender Catherine was adorable and informative on her wines and places to visit. The only dissapoinment was there were only 2 reds for the tasting. The live music was nice and the donkeys were gorgeous!!

Felicia Murrell

The petit manseng and one eyed jack were great wines. Spacious tasting room, attentive server.

Please accept my apology for posting the negative review below on your page (I deleted it)! This review was meant for another winery me and my friends attended right before we came to Cavender. Your establishment was GREAT! The minute we walked in the door a lady greeted us with a huge warm and welcoming smile. The ladies behind the counter were very patient while we were making our choices. We will definitely come back! Again I'm so sorry. I changed this from 1 to 5 stars and I will go put the negative review on the correct page. Your response to my erroneous negative comment shows you all are a class act and we will be back. Please have a great week!

Gregory Koutrelakos

The atmosphere is great, and the wines are awesome! I enjoyed trying several of their wines through the group tasting. The mulled wine is also very good!

Hands down our favorite winery in north Georgia! The staff is always friendly, the atmosphere is so relaxing and comfortable. Claire, the owner is so wonderful and usually there when we visit. She has done amazing things with Cavender! The dogs are the best! Tucker, tinkerbell and Juno! Wine is great, they have good selection of drys and sweets. My fave place ❤

Steve Edwards

Love the Jack A** Red. Nice place to hang out and relax, nice vibe. Don't forget to pet the donkeys.

Tyler Kellett

Spent a wonderful afternoon at the winery with my wife. We met the owner, Claire, and she let me feed the alpacas and donkeys! The wine was amazing, bought two bottles. Try the pimento cheese plate too. We are booking the cabin for our anniversary. Oh, did I mention the alpacas?

I tried to email this and it keeps getting sent back. The manger is trying to block me to save face. To whom it may concern, I have been to Cavender many times. I have had amazing experiences. I always leave with multiple bottles of wine. I love the atmosphere. I love the wine. The people behind the bar have always been amazing. However, the female manager on staff on 5/12/2019 was absolutely dispicable! My friend who has never been to Cavender had an intiment conversation with the male bartender in regards to infertility. She has been trying to conceive for almost two years. She got emotional. She excused herself to the restroom to feel her emotions. The manager on duty came in and accused her of being drunk and vomiting. She was not intoxicated nor did she vomit. She needed a minute to collect herself. I had closed out the open tabs for my companions. Still the manager on duty continued to harass my friend accusing her of vomitting in the sink and told her to get out! When I confronted the manager she admitted to everything she said but with no apologies said she wasn’t aware of the back story. I have spent years in ther service industry in high end restaurants in Buckhead. I would never treat a patron the way my friend was treated. This experience has negated every other experience I have had at Cavender. I fully expect for this event to be rectified. I have a significant social following and I have no problems sharing this experience on social media. I am mortified for the owners of this establiment if this is who they have representing them.

Stopped here with 2 of my girlfriends and we had a great time! The snacks we got were delicious and the wine tasting was priced well- 7 for 14 for the southern sweet flight. Wines were definitely sweet and some were a hit or miss for me but I’m excited to try the premium flight next time. The atmosphere is cozy and very charming. Loved the fireplace and outdoor seating. Definitely worth the visit!

Surprise celebration for Nadine & Hal! Warm & Inviting, met so many new friends!

What a great local winery. They just opened the new cabin or tasting room on July 4th. Loved the new cabin and especially the deck. Meat and cheese plate was delicious. Don’t miss this place. We will be back soon.

Dirty Bob

Comfortable,knowledgeable,friendly...Our tasting of their sweets "Sweetflight" was served seated. Not only was this a delight the wine was Amazing! We look forward to our next visit!

Very warm and such a hospitable and welcoming staff. Great selection, prices reasonable. Everyone came up and introduced themselves, even the guy behind the bar. Very friendly downhome but felt upscale establishment. Great place to visit and try new things. My one and only complaint. Most people were standing but they did have a few stools but they were very uncomfortable for those that have back issues. We couldn't stay long because I can't stand or sit on a stool like that. Standing 10 minutes is agonizing. I'd like to see several tables with chairs around them, even if they are high tables and chairs which I feel would look really cute. If they would make that investment, maybe at least 4 tables with chairs, people would stay longer and spend more money. Win-win guys!

Great atmosphere and even better wines! Campbell was awesome and very informative. He made us feel like family! Highly recommend.

I kept emailing this and it kept getting sent back. When I Facebook messaged it the said manager gave me ridiculous excuses for her behavior. FIRE the manager or BOYCOTT Cavender Creek!!!! Great tasting, lots of muscadine options. Their peppery reds are amazing if you're a red drinker. Beautiful patio with lots of seating overlooking vines, great charcuterie spread. Upstairs room with live music was very charming. Beautiful views, outside yard games and picnic tables. We had a great experience there.

John Callaway

Beautiful grounds, with rustic cabins and tasting room. The wines they had available were varied and delicious. The bar tender was helpful and friendly!
