The hosts were very warm and inviting. Their knowledge and explanations for each variety were helpful when making purchases. I enjoyed the reds, and the muscadine wines were popular with the rest of my party.

We stumbled across Big Door yesterday and were SO happy we did!!! This vineyard sits on the most beautiful piece of land and immediately felt like we were miles away from home, but truly, only 35 minutes! We were greeted with friendly faces. My husband and I decided to do the tastings, which were wonderful. The Blanc du Bois was my fav, but they were all delish! We also had our almost 4 year old with us and they were so accommodating! The owner, Ray came to greet us and was so kind! He brought our son a juice box, which he loved of course, and was so kind to turn on the fountain for our son on the pond, —Ray also took us around to show us the grounds and tell us a little bit about the history. We had a delightful meat and cheese board to accommodate our wines while we enjoyed the beautiful scenery. This is certainly our new favorite little vineyard, and we will be back soon. Thank you all for a wonderful afternoon with my little family!

We were rudely treated and ignored by staff. There is too much attitude and not enough wine education here. Our tasting was poorly done. It’s a bar nothing more.

This place is amazing! The wine is delicious the food is very good but the staff is A1! The friendliest most efficient experience I've had in a long time. The owner is very engaging the atmosphere was perfect. I've been to vineyards in Sonoma Valley but this was a much better experience!

My first time to visit this place. I really liked it. We did a wine tasting, it was good, not a whole lot to choose from but it was good. Ended up getting a bottle and cheese tray. Very nice place, laid back. They have a very large patio area I look forward to another visit when the weather warms up.

The atmosphere is really awesome here. I stopped by this afternoon on my way home just to take a look because I was honestly shocked when I saw that there was a winery in the town of White. Immediately when pulling in I felt like I was in heaven! They have a waterfall into a pond with a walkway all around it and outdoor seating. All while next the the vineyard ! What an amazing set up! The view just from my car was breathtaking! When you go up the walkway to the winery quickly you realize why it’s called “big door”! Inside has the best smell ever and is so welcoming. Outside the building is additional outdoor seating as well. Staff was really nice and informative about what is going on. There is live music on the weekends from what I was told! So the best part about this is that they allow dogs so I’m sold! Will go back to stay and hangout and drink with my dog and will update about the wines!

I discovered Big Door this week. I can’t say enough good things about this venue, their staff, and managers/owners. Live music every Fri Sat and Sun evening is fantastic! They have food trucks on Friday evenings. Sandwiches are offered from Jake’s. And the charcuterie boards are delish! Wines are amazing. Blanc du Bois is my fav so far. Although the sangria and wine slushees are really good too! So happy to have a new winery in the neighborhood!

This was a wonderful experience, anyone that enjoys wine and a place to relax, this is a must. The owner and staff are fantastic, they make you feel like you are part of there family. They're beautiful wine tasting room is breathtaking. All the wood from the bar to the rafters came from the property, the lumber never left the vineyard property, it was all milled and seasoned there on the grounds.

Big Door Vineyard's is an eye sore to the community. They are located in a small, residential subdivision of all places. Their lot is only 16 acres, most of which is a house, tiny pond, and a couple outbuildings. There is always construction going on, so the vineyard looks terrible.
