Great selection of spirits wine and beer. I always judge a place that sells wine by how cool they keep the temperature because it's important to store wine at an optimal temperature. Now I'm not saying it was 55° in there but it was at least 65 or below; better than a majority of other places in the area.

Joe Canal's has a large selection of beer, wine and spirits. You can spend a good hour going up and down their aisles and be introduced to the flavors around the world. They do have wine, beer, spirit tasting and other events. Prices are competitive and you save a little more by being a member. There is no cost for membership. Has a parking lot and carts for your shopping needs. Since it is on Route 1south be to get on and off carefully because of the fast moving traffic.

Wide selection, helpful staff. As I was looking for favorite drink a staff member asked me if she could help me find anything. I appreciated there attention to providing service. Most places just watch you roam around lost. I also over heard a man ask for a strange drink that he had been to a couple of places looking for and the staff was knowledgable enough to know they had it and took the man right to it. Not sure how pricing compares, I paid about $7 for a 4pk of seagram's escapes if that helps any.

This location holds a special place in my heart. I recently moved away but will always remember this place. The owner always did his best to order items me and my husband liked. He also figured out my taste and made good suggestions, all without trying to oversell. The owner is constantly tasting new wine selection and updating his inventory. He is also a neighborhood-conscientious person and once when something happened to me down the street that was upsetting he took me into his store and calmed me down and contacted the police for me. I cannot say enough good things about this store and the genuine quality and care that emminates from this family-owned business. Even though I moved away I will still make a point to come back and say hello to the owner and his lovely wife. This place deserves 5,000 stars <3

This is one of my favorite places to go wine shopping--because they have an ENORMOUS selection of wines and because the staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. I've been able to find wines that are otherwise hard to find here. They also have an amazing selection of liquors and liqueurs, and it's a terrific place to find a bottle for a special occasion.

Joe Canals has got to be by far the best beverage warehouse that I have experienced in a long time. This is my second post and there are still not enough adjectives tp describe this place. You might think that I am crazy for traveling all the way to New Jersey from Brooklyn, but its worth the trip. They have a large selection of beverages for all ages and the staff is friendly and will assist you with what you need. They even take special orders. Try getting that from a wholesale beverage house in NYC. Not happening. Keep up the good work Joe Canal. Kirk L.

The store is pretty well set up. There is a wine tasting station and a whole section for Growler refills. The store is set up nicely so that you can find what you're looking for by section they have a very long freezer full of many many different selections to choose from for cold beer and hard ciders, T's, Etc

What a wonderful surprise to find a liquor that delivers which was a normal service once upon a time. In my case I can't drive due to an injury so when I want to purchase liquor I have to impose on a friend or deal with having it shipped which is expensive, you have to wait, and other online stores I've dealt with are unreliable. This past December I saw on their website for the Iselin store that they offered delivery in their area so I gave it a shot and placed an order large enough for free delivery that day and I was flabbergasted - it went perfectly. I've placed smaller orders since and paid a small delivery charge which is more than fair. The prices are as good and sometimes better than elsewhere and the selection is huge so I couldn't be happier. I usually speak with Colleen - she's a sweetheart, always very helpful.

I've only ever purchased beer here, so maybe this isn't a complete review. But they do seem to have a good selection of liquor and wine, although I know almost nothing about the latter. Their beer selection, however, is very good. You can find quite a variety of craft beer, imports, and domestic brews. I also like that they have the local NJ beers in their own cooler so they are easy to find. Many times on weekends they will have tables with some samples and you can also get growler fills here. I always try to stop when I'm in the area and usually leave with some beers I haven't tried before.

This is a great place. Incredible selection, with plenty of rarities in stock to choose from. If you are looking for quality bourbons and whiskeys that you're not finding at other shops, you should definitely check here. They also regularly stock Schneider Weisse, the world's greatest beer, which you won't find elsewhere.

Definitely hands down my favorite place to go to get a bottle of red wine. I hate going into little liquor stores to just get a nice little bottle of wine and you got so many people coming in there looking like they're half drunk. But this Joe Canal's is awesome. It's a very high-class liquor store with great wine selections. And the prices are great. Couple times I had to ask the staff questions and they really went out of their way to help me. Really I'll drive an extra 10 minutes to get here. But I don't have to do it often.

I love this store ! Never had an issue and everyone was always nice until i encountered a “supervisor” named Courtenay. She was rude to me because i wasn’t aware of the minor policy and my family never accompanied me . There’s a difference between informing someone and informing with an attitude. She then proceeded to bark back at me after i told her she shouldn’t talk to customers that way and i decided to no longer buy from them that day as she wasn’t out of line . Not sure if I’ll return but if i do I’ll never go to that cashier !

Price is also great plus more discounts on select products received in mail. Staff is courteous and helpful. Be aware of hour before you go there as they close early on weekends.

Honestly the worst customer service and manager I’ve ever come in contact with. We drove 30 minutes out of our way to go specially to Joe Canals, because we’re loyal members. We had at least $100 of liquor we needed to buy for the next morning. We were about to check out, and they asked for our friends ID who’s 40 and not purchasing our liquor. There were 4 of us, and the other three of us were able to produce IDs. We told them that he left his wallet at home, and if they could just let us purchase what we needed. And they completely utterly and rudely refused. I’ve been there hundreds of times before and my ID was never even checked. They just lost customers. It’s what they’re horrible attitudes deserve. Oh well...

I like coming here. The liquior is inexpensive. When i come here i drop a few hundred dollars but i walk out with plenty of wine and liquior. They have name brand stuff. Store is usually empty and the staff is knowledgeable. Huge parking lot.

Joe Canal's is located off of Route 1 in Iselin, NJ. There's a large parking lot, that is easy to access from the highway and easy to pull out from. The store itself is a warehouse full of selection and variety. There is a tremendous whiskey selection, one that I wouldn't be able to find anywhere close to home, and all offered at very affordable prices. The staff was both friendly and knowledgeable about the store. Definitely satisfied with this store.
