A gorgeous vineyard run by a knowledgeable and caring farmer and his small team. We went here as part of a wine tasting tour, and it was my favorite stop. The wines were good (especially relative to the other larger wineries in the area), but the attentive, friendly staff and the comfy Adirondack chairs set atop a hill, overlooking vineyards and forest beyond, brought the overall experience to a new relaxing high level. The farm used to be a sheep farm, and they continue to raise sheep on the grounds. The team there was happy to show us the little lambs and young chickens. Borderland is small, there's no cash register or t-shirt shop, it's just you and the wine and the barn and the fields. It has a wondeful, comfortable family feel to it. I'd love to come back!

Karl and I had a wonderful time at Borderland Vineyard today! The rolling beauty of the land and the well kept vineyard was a pleasure to see. The friendly and informative staff greeted us warmly and shared lots of interesting facts about the farm. Baby Doll sheep! What cuties!! Big fluffy bodies and short strong legs. My knitting needles in the car were chomping at the bit but I was told told that these beauties have a job on vineyard grounds and that their wool is not their best characteristic. (Not so sure I agree.) Our tour was filled with lots of amazing facts and I was left wanting to volunteer for harvesting. Our wine tasting experience was relaxed and delightful. I can happily report that I stocked up and can continue my "tasting" right in my own home!! Be sure to check out the creative and artistic labels on the outside of the bottles as well as the delicious goodness inside them. Thank you, Kurt, for a great visit!!

Casual, friendly and really good wine! Sheep, cats and chickens on the property. Small tasting room in their barn and outdoor seating as well. Best sauvignon blanc in the area!
