I've been to Taylor Brooke Winery so many times over the last 5-6 years that I've lost count. I've been to wineries all over New England, Maryland, and Pennsylvania; Taylor Brooke is one of my favorites.

Very nice atmosphere although the birds make odd sounds. They are expanding and have a great selection of wines, crackers and cheeses. The view of the trees is great and if you don't want to be in the sun they have shades areas. A beer brewery is coming soon and they have easy parking. Highly recommend.

We recently spent a Sunday afternoon at Taylor Brooke and we both agree it is one of the best wineries in CT. The staff couldn’t be friendlier and they truly make you feel welcomed. Their prices for wine tasting are very reasonable and, hands-down, the best value compared to others in the state. You can choose 2 wines to taste complimentary, 8 wines for $5.50 or all 12 for $8.50 (if you want to buy the glass, it costs an additional $3.00). They offer more white wines than red but all are amazing, including the dessert wines (Chocolate Essence, which is a port, is incredible). They encourage you to bring snacks or a picnic lunch so we bought a bottle of Woodstock Hill White to enjoy there with our picnic and a bottle of Wine Dog to take home. Our host was extremely educated and informative about all the wines we sampled. She was even kind enough to give us two glasses to take outside with our bottle of wine (we returned them upon leaving since we did not wish to purchase). There are two separate seating areas, one has tables under a pergola in front of the winery and the other is in a more shaded enclosed area to the side of the building, including additional picnic tables randomly placed in the vineyard. They invite you to take a self-guided tour around the vineyard and check out the different types of grapes they use. We enjoyed our visit so much, we will definitely return with family and friends to this beautiful, quiet part of the state.

I went for a day trip since I've wanted to visit some of CT's vineyards so made Taylor Brooke my first stop. The staff were very friendly, the grounds are really pretty, and they have a nice assortment of T-shirts and other gift items. They offer 2 complimentary tastings, 8 tastings for $5 and all of the wines for $8. I opted for the 8 for $5 and then bought a glass while I enjoyed the grounds. While I was there I picked up my CT Wine Trail Passport which now has 1 stamp. The ride up was beautiful from SE CT. Highly recommend this winery. My favorite was the peach infused white.

I have been to this winery many times and I will continue to go back. The people that work there are so welcoming and so friendly. My now fiancé actually proposed to me there on the off season. They opened up the room for about 30 of us and it was amazing. Their wines are incredible and the prices are very reasonable. I would suggest that everyone should give this place a chance!!!

We came this afternoon with a party of 6. We slid two tables together to accommodate our party. Someone who works there came out and asked if we put the tables together to which we admitted. She told us we couldn’t do that and we had to move the tables back. I kindly asked to have an exception made due to the size our party, to which she refused. After that the owner, Linda, came out to which I expressed my concerns with how the previous employee handled the situation. Linda did nothing nothing to help the situation nor did she offer any good recommendations. Since there was no other tables available our only option was to leave at this point. Linda not only stormed off but slammed the door in my face. Quite professional from the owner. Please note a member of our party was on crutches and it was my wife’s birthday. We won’t let this ruin our day but feel others should be aware.

This was our first visit to a winery, and they (Barry?) made the experience a very pleasant one. We plan to go back in the fall, when the new varieties are available. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, and the owners stopped in briefly to welcome us. We were able to try a dozen varieties of wine, and were so impressed that we took a couple mixed cases home. It's in a nice quiet area of CT and worth the trip!

The wines here were hit or miss. Some were good some were just mediocre. Based on the wine alone I would recommend a visit, But I had a fairly unpleasant experience here. The gal serving the tasting ignored us and left us waiting multiple times one time for over 10 min. She was busy chatting with her friends. Which would have been fine if she still poured the tasting, but we came in and we were not aknowleged for a few min and once we were we were then ignored after our first pour. I like going to tastings for the experience and the wine. This place's experience although I feel could have been great looking at the decor and scenery, but was not because of some lousy service.

My fiance and I are from northern Massachusetts and had driven down to Woodstock to look at a wedding venue. We figured since we had driven down to this quaint area of Connecticut and, venue booked or not, we were going to make a day trip out of it. We absolutely loved the venue and wanted to do our due diligence and seeing what else Woodstock had to offer. We stumbled upon this little winery and fell in love with the area even more. The wine was delicious and the setting was idyllic New England perfection. I would highly recommend this place.

One other word I should mention is" selfishness".... Once you are here , you want to keep it secret. That's what this is... A personal hidden treasure.

My friend and I had an incredibly good time here. We chose to do a wine tasting of all the wines and the staff was very, very knowledgable. The place was beautiful and there was a lovely seating area, where we had a glass of wine and ate some cheese, crackers, salad and cookies, that we had brought ourselves. We spent a good 2 hours here with the tasting and chatting it up with our snacks and wine. The only reason I can not give this a 5 star rating is because when we left, I purchased 2 bottles of wine, a wine glass and a bottle of balsamic vinegar (I had planned on giving the vinegar to a friend as a gift). The woman packaged the wines perfectly, and I wish she packaged the wine glass and vinegar in a similar manner!! She put them in a paper bag (without handles, that does not "stand up" and without paper protecting the glass items. There was only very minimal tissue paper on the wine glass. Where as the bottled wines were packaged in a Stand up kind of bag with handles and had a cardboard between the bottles). When I got home I gently placed the bag on my counter top and the balsamic vinegar broke (UGH, SO DISAPPOINTED). Had these items been packaged in a similar bag and method as the wines, they would not have broken!!! So, although I'm out the $10-11 it cost for this item, I'm also out on a special gift that was meant for a friend. So, just be sure they package your bought items better.

Have visited twice now! Once to the brewery and once to the winery. Both have been absolutely wonderful experiences. The winery is set at the top of the hill and you can walk through the vineyard or sit under a tree which overlooks the road below. Would recommend the wine slushy on a warm summer afternoon! The brewery is at the bottom of the hill and has a yard to mingle/play corn hole/ sit on picnic tables. The brewery also has a few wines to choose from if someone in your group would prefer that. Definitely looking forward to going back.

Went here for a tasting with my husband, who isn't much of a wine drinker, but even he loved all the wines we tasted (we went hime with 2 bottles and together we polished off an entire bottle of peach wine)! My new favorite winery. And they have really cute labels--their bottles look great on my wine rack.
