REVIEWS OF Rosedale Farms & Vineyards IN Connecticut

Used to love wine tasting here until our last visit when they told us we couldn't bring our own food if they already sold it there. We didn't know this since every single other CT vineyard let's you bring munchies. So we packed up our stuff and went to Lost Acres instead. Rosedales does have great veggies in the summer so that's a 5 and their grounds are nice too.

I did a tasting & purchased wine & other things a few weeks ago. Some of the wines were good, but customer service is lacking. Cashier had a problem with the Card machine- ran my card twice. In checking my Bank 2 days later- I was charged twice. When I called to get this rectified- I was told that I would have to go there for a refund & they could not do it electronically. I told the young girl that it was an hour's drive for me & this was a huge inconvenience. She said there was no other way.... So, I made the 2 hour, over 80 mile round trip- just to get MY money back. When I asked what they could do for me for my inconvenience- I was told that the cashier "didn't have the authority" to do anything. When I asked for a manager or owner- she looked at me blankly, & walked away! I emailed the Farm website a week ago.....still NO response. I will not be returning.......there are many other wineries & farms in the State to choose from. (BTW- I work for another winery in CT, & this would NOT be tolerated by my boss......)

Gorgeous farm. Perfect even if you're skipping on the wine. There is a free corn maze that is the caliber of a paid one, and a sunflower maze that is just gorgeous. Great for family fun day and photographers. The wine is also spectacular. Great whites and reds, perfect amount of dryness. The Serendipity Holiday Blend was a great sweet wine.

Thought third time would be the charm....nope! I am done trying to go to this winery. When the website says is open. ..it's not. Or when it says open only the farm is open??? Don't know, don't care. I'm sick of trying.

Beautiful farm and winery. Wine tasting was great, enjoyed the atmosphere. Would have liked if they allowed you to bring your own snacks, but the farm stand offers all sorts of cheese, fruit, vegetables and breads.

I often wonder where they get some of the produce. Some items are no better than a grocery store. It is a great place to get local produce. You need to ask if the produce you want is local. $$$$

I'm so disappointed that I have to write a poor review of Rosedale Farms. We visited the area this past week and went to Rosedale on Tuesday, our last day. I was excited to buy a couple bottles of red, and thought, based on other reviews, that we were in for a treat. Sadly, we just opened them for dinner tonight and both are completely undrinkable. We spent $60 for a bottle of Pride of Simsbury and a bottle of Lou's Red. They are clearly spoiled; we wonder if the hot temperatures were to blame, as it was over 90 degrees on Tuesday and hot all month, and it was extremely hot inside the store. These wines should be kept in cooler conditions (like a wine cellar.) I caution customers to think twice because these wines are not cheap (we enjoy Amarone for what they cost) and to have our money go to waste is incredibly frustrating.

Robyn Joyce

Beautiful farm winery and country store.

Michael Porcaro

Nice people, real good wine. Great spot out back to sit and enjoy a glass, overlooking the Vineyard

Top notch staff, beautiful venue. Bartenders Express highly recommends Rosedale Farms to anyone looking for that perfect setting for their big event.

Great place for summer and fall activities. I was here for a vegan dinner hosted by the max group. The food was pretty awful and disappointing. The venue however was great!

Mike Yevich

The Summer Red is our favorite! We visited before the tastings started but purchased a few bottles of wine and fresh veggies from the farmers market.

We went to the lobster bake hosted by Rosedale today. The atmosphere was great. Live music was good but far too loud to allow any conversation. The food was terrific!

Shelley Steadman

Very disappointing this year. No theme in the cornmaze. Kids got through it so quickly and said it wasn't fun this year. Considering what a great time they had in the previous years, it was beyond disappointing. We were so excited to go, but won't be returning.

Food, and vegetables are always farm fresh and delicious. They make some beautiful wines, jams and jellies. High school and college age staff of nice and helpful. The corn is the best in the valley. Supportive of community. Can be pricey, but so worth the extra dollars. Open early. The fresh raspberries never make it home.
