Good wine and great atmosphere

We have been to most of the CT Vineyards and usually find one or two at each vineyard that we like except MIRANDA, we LOVE ALL the wines there. The Chardonnay is like no other. it is the best. The atmosphere is warm and friendly too. You feel like you just stopped by an old friend's for a visit.

They sell spoiled wine and apparently don't give refunds. I bought a bottle last fall and stored it in a cool dark basement. I opened it a few days ago and it was sour and carbonated. I've tried contacting them via email and phone and have gotten no response. Will not being going back.

I love Miranda Vineyard! I don't know what that lady Vanessa is talking about. I was there when a man from that party starting using the F word and the owner politely asked him not to use profanity. He tried to use his Veteran status as if if to say his bad behavior was somehow allowed. The Miranda's always make everyone feel welcome! If that party was uncomfortable it was because they were probably embarrassed about how badly they behaved. Go to the vineyard, you won't be disappointed! It's a great atmosphere, beautiful scenery and great wine!

Wasn't busy. Slow service

One of our favorite vineyards on the CT wine trail - we always have a great experience here and can't leave without a case (or 2) of wine!

This is a lovely vineyard with a great Chocolate & Wine Tasting on weekends. I'm not big into wine, but I love chocolate. The tasting has opened my eyes to new possibilities with both. :-)

I purchased 2 bottles of Goshen Farmhouse Red and opened them both within 72 hours of purchase They both tasted like vinegar. I emailed them with the problem but no one has bothered to get in touch with me.

Jason Cap

After 20 minutes and still not being served, we left. Very disappointed.

Visited today with my friends and immediately felt like I needed to write this review. 4 girls. 1 DD. This was our third and final stop on our wine trail afternoon. We visited two other wineries, ate at both and dumped out a good 70% of the tastings. DD had maybe a sip of 5 total wines, never finished them and was very responsible telling the server to only give her just a tiny taste as she was the DD. When we arrived, the owner was joking with us. He seemed totally cool. He went to stamp our friends book (the DD who also told the server to only give a very small amount at the tasting) and assumed we visited 9 wineries Today based on her check marks on the map. Except we had not. He did a transaction, after again joking with us, and got very serious. He told us we we intoxicated and needed to go eat Not only was this said loud enough to be embarrassing but it was totally false. All of us are baffled still. Was it because we were loud? We are a bunch of girls from southern Ct.... we are always loud? Not really sure what else could have possibly indicated that we were drunk. I understand it is at the discretion of the owner but he went from totally fine to not in a milisecond. Would he not serve a bachelorette party with a bus? We left, very hurt and with a very sour taste in our mouths. We will not be returning, and we have notified the ct wine trail reps or our experience as well.

My spouse and I enjoyed the environment and the wines. The staff were very friendly and engaging. We thought their best wine was the Chardonnay, it had an aftertaste of nutmeg, would be perfect to serve with Thanksgiving/Christmas desserts.

Jessica Houlker

Another small winery. Staff was friendly andaccommodating. I enjoyed the Rose and Cayuga White.

We were so pleased to visit Miranda Vineyards! The lady attended us super bien and even knew Spanish! For my husband who's first language is Español this was such a treat. We learned all about the Portuguese Gallo a symbol of luck and about the Miranda family's passion for wine. We left feeling like part of the family. Beautiful place. Beautiful history. We can't wait to visit again!

Wonderful open mic Sunday and lots of good reds

Really really nice people. Great wine. We got locked out of the car and they close at 5 and let us sit here until AAA came.

Katie Cammack

Great Selection. Knowledgeable staff

Chris Ubaldi

The Merlot stands out for Connecticut wines. Truly wonderful. Too many Connecticut wines are sweet. This Merlot is not. It's rich and mature. Keep up the good work!

Marco Antonetti

Very nice winery. Enjoyed the wines, even bought a couple. Definitely worth a stop on the wine tasting trail.

Andrew Campbell

If I could give no stars I would. I was not happy with the service. There was a lady who worked there that made us very unwelcomed. The party was celebrating a 30th birthday. All very successful people and ready to buy multiple bottles, however due to the service we barely bought 2. The atmosphere was nothing desirable. The wine was extremely bold and I had a better experience at the other 2 prior vineyards.

I went for a tasting and all of the wines tasted like the bottles had been open for months. Very disappointing and I would not recommend going for a tasting. It was ufortunate that I could not taste what the wines were like freshly opened.

We had a nice experience at Miranda Vineyard. The wines were very good and we even learned the history of the "Vinho Fino" which has a connection to the 1930's. Ask Maria to tell the story. She is a pleasure to talk with and we will visit again...

Recently visited Miranda vineyards and had my best visit yet! Connected with the owner and her staff and thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting experience! All of the wine is of high quality and what amazes me is that I have a slightly different experience every time, in terms of which wine I like best. Sometimes it's the Farmhouse, sometimes its the Woodridge Red,.. sometimes its the Cayuga, sometimes it's the Woodridge White. I taste different dimensions of the flavors every time I go. The Rose was especially good this time. It has a dry yet sweeter flavor than I expected and would really make a nice summer sipping wine. This time the Woodridge White was the big winner for me to, as I believe it tastes like sunshine in a bottle! Beautiful bright bold color and flavor, a tad tangy with a slight sweetness.. it's what I'd imagine sunshine would taste like! Also learned some great wine tasting tips from the staff about how long to leave wine out to breath and when it's not necessary. I am absolutely looking forward to my next trip!!

We visited Miranda after going to another winery in the area and were very disappointed all around. We dumped three out of the five wines we tried (they were terrible). The people working there were not knowledgeable about the wine or the place. The live music was unbearably loud. We would not go back. We decided to write this review because the other reviews speak so highly of the place, the wines and the service, but this was not our experience.
