This place was great. Not sure why the poor reviews because the owner was so friendly and very knowledgeable. The wine was superb. We decided to buy 3 bottles of our favorite. Try tasting it was amazing. They also have fly fishing classes for groups! What a great find!

1st destination of our CT wine tour. 10/10 service, wine, and ambiance. Would recommend this vineyard to anyone looking for a friendly staff and great collection of wines. Would definitely return again! Have traveled worldwide and have found very few wines that compare to the quality of Land of Nod.

So much fun! Rick, the owner did our tasting with our group of 4. What a blast. He has so much knowledge of wine and local history. We could have stay there for hours. Ok, the wine and the tasting........ 11 tastes for $10. We almost needed a designated driver. He rinsed each glass after each taste. Then on certain wines he insisted we eat a piece of cheddar after it. After 1 desert wine he gave each of us a dark chocolate Hershey kiss. What a taste explosion. After the tasting we went down the road to see a historical area he told us about. It too was amazing. Thank you.

Absolutely beautiful winery run by amazing people. They were so kind and wonderful, with super cheap tasting for 11 wines! We were also allowed to have pets (whom they brought a giant thing of water out for), and they let us stay after closing and chitchatted a bit with us while they worked the farm. Truly and honestly a great experience and will go back.

Do not skip this one. Wonderful wines...nice people. Bring some snacks and get a bottle or glass and spend an hour ... one of my favorite wineries.

Trust me IGNORE old or low ratings. This winery was amazing and well worth the drive. The wines are extremely dynamic and tasty. Variety allows something for everyone. The owner was personable and friendly and justifiably is proud of his work. He prides himself in local sourcing and really knows the land. The wines are an amazing value and we bought more there than any other winery in the past. We will be bring friends back in a couple weeks! This is an absolute DON'T MISS in CT and the Berkshire area!

Rick is the best!!! Took way to long to get back here for a visit. (5 years). Wines are one of the best in Ct. Worth the drive. Thanks to Rick's suggestions we went to The Big Elm and Berkshire Mountain Distillers too. A MUST VISIT!!!

Great selection of delicious wines, something for everyone. Family owned and operated. Friendly knowledgeable service. Beautiful part of the state for a fall trip. Outside foods are welcome, they even have menus from local restaurants that deliver to the winery!

We participate in the CT Wine Trail Passport program every year; and, Land of Nod is one of the wineries that we most look forward to visiting! Its just a lovely drive from anywhere in the state and the atmosphere is as quaint and country as you will find anywhere. Lovely wines also. Looking forward to stopping in on Sunday before attending a concert at Infinity Hall.

I have come to Land of Nod twice in the past 3 years and plan to visit again this summer. The wine selection is good and should accommodate most people. The employees/owners are awesome, a tasting is a very pleasant experience. The tasting room is a bit small, so you'll just need to be patient as they can accommodate perhaps 10-12 people at a time if I remember correctly. I would come more often if it didn't take me 50 minutes to get there.

.

Disregard those 1 star reviews. There was obviously something amiss. This is quite possibly our favorite winery! Wish it was open year round. The wines are exceptional and varied. If you like unique wines not found in typical wineries this is the place for you. We love everything about Land of Nod Vineyard & Winery. We drive about two hours to get here and it's worth every minute behind the wheel. It's family run so everyone is vested in giving you the best experience possible! They're expanding as well. The new location, I believe, is going to be on route 44, East Canaan Rd, but check with them to be sure. Can't wait to check it out but we will always love this beautiful spot they have now, many great memories!
