Perfect spot to enjoy an afternoon on the lawn or out on the covered deck. Highly recommend the brie to pair with one of the vineyard's terrific wines! Looking forward to another visit soon.

The drive in is cool and you may be surprised by the number of cars but don't let that scare you. This venue is huge plus they added another tent area for additional seating and events. The inside has an open floor plan and it's just beautiful. I like all of their wines but especially liked the white sangria on my last visit. You can bring your own snacks or order from their menu. Folks also brought their own chairs for the outdoors. They have corn hole to play or you can just sit, relax, and enjoy the views.

Nice location with friendly staff. but as seasoned wine enthusiasts, the wine tasted young and needs more time to age and develop complexity.

Beautiful place and views, the wine great too

Excellent vineyard. Owners have done a great job providing that Modern touch experience and the wines are great. I’m personally a fan of Reds and I’ve enjoyed this vineyard variety better than others here in CT. You will enjoy the experience, don’t think twice! Just pack up some food goodies (they serve food too) and just do it!

What amazing winery! The building and location is beautiful, plenty of room inside and out. Lots of different wine to choose from and they are all unique and delicious. They also have a great food menu, or you can bring your own. Would highly recommend.

We visited the winery a couple of months back, it was a gorgeous sunny day and we wanted to sit outside, however all of the tables were taken. The owner asked us what he could do for us and we said we were waiting for outside seating, he dragged a table and two chairs outside for us to enjoy the beautiful day and our wine slushies. We will be back!

Jen L

We went here as it has slushies. They ate yummy!! The tastings we did was nice too.

Randy Voytas

Great music playing while sipping on wine slushes.

The best winery in CT by far. Ambiance, cleanliness, style of the building, and not to mention the obvious - the wine. Alex P took good care of us. Highly recommended to come with a party and have a day of fun-filled events.

Would never return!!! Showed up about half hour before closing and there were 3 woman behind the counter doing nothing and was told they were closing soon and would not do a wine tasting, they could only sell glasses and they were not nice about it. All wine bottles were still out and no one else was at the counter. I was excited to show my friends the winery and taste their wine and then we get treated like this. Shows how motivated they are about their job.

Excellent winery. Beautiful landscape and gorgeous building. Service was great. Great selection of wine - all delicious. You can bring your own food or order from a select menu. The grounds are just breathtaking. Highly recommend.

One of our favorite wineries. Great wine, friendly staff and a huge plus is that they allow dogs!!!!! Greatest venue ever. They have a large indoor area, large grass field and an outdoor tent with live music. Life can't get much better than this. We have been multiple times and continue to keep on coming back.

Great winery to go to. Very clean, new chairs for seating, rocking chairs on porch. Wine is a little expensive, if not for that I would give it 5 stars.

Weve been to many wineries on the Connecticut Wine Trail and I can honestly tell you that Hawk Ridge Winery is BY FAR the best of them all! There is nothing at all not to like about this place. Beautiful scenery, beautiful new building and the large wine selections are all excellent. They serve food as well, so come hungry. Kudos!

Great winery all around! Hawk Ridge winery is a beautiful and spacious winery with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They offer a wide variety of wines, there is something to suit every palate. My favorite of their wines is the Hawk’s Nest Red. In addition to their excellent wines, they have a delicious food menu that includes charcuterie, chips, dips, and sandwiches. Additionally, Hawk Ridge hosts various events each month such as Juke Box Bingo, Trivia, and Desert festival just to name a few.

This winery is simply amazing. You must try the white sangria,it is the best. And the cheese n meats are as well.

Excellent wine but they did not know how the CT Wine Trail Passport app works so I was not able to get a stamp on the new app.

So my friend and I were going to go winery hopping in Litchfield county and stopped here first. Well...we never left and here’s why. A great selection and ample supply of both there red and white wines, great FOOD, and a fantastic band on Sundays combined with a friendly staff, great service, and a fun atmosphere! Would HIGHLY recommend and if you plan on following the CT wine trail come...here...FIRST! It’s brand new, CLEAN, and has gorgeous, scenic grounds.

I recently went to Hawk Ridge Winery with co-workers and was really impressed. The place is beautiful with a very relaxed vibe with a great view of the countryside. We originally sat outside on the patio, but we got hit with a wicked thunderstorm and went inside, which was just as nice. I prefer red wines and I enjoyed their "Talon Red" and "Hawk’s Nest Red" offerings.

A must! Wine is a little expensive (we are from the south mind you), but the wine and the atmosphere are all worth it. Beautiful view!

Monica Claros

Nice location, beautiful view, good service, good wines.

We visited this new facility on a abnormally warm Sunday afternoon in September. The winery was "a buzz" with people enjoying the sunny day. The wines we tasted were above average and we ended up purchasing a pair of bottles. The main building is of a heavy timber post and beam design - very impressive.

Amy Gelada

I love this place. Always a fun and friendly atmosphere and the wine is great. They have tons of random events throughout the year as well. Highly recommend

What a hot spot! In the warmer months, there's plenty of room to set up a picnic (although very lacking in shade). In the cooler months, the indoor space gets crowded fast but that speaks highly on the winery's popularity! The wines are okay...personally I only liked one red and one white. But it's a fantastic place to go any time of year. I love that the winery lets you bring your own food, and there's an upstairs space to rent for private parties.

David DeMarest

This winery is above and beyond any expectation of local wineries. I had a great time, and based on my experience of previous wine experiences in Connecticut, the wines are 5 star. Ally D. is an excellent source of wine knowledge. Her recommendations were right on par with my tastes. I highly recommend Hawk Ridge to any wine officienado.

Faith Mancuso

Fun place to hang out. The property and cabin are beautiful. The tasting prices are good and the menu is huge. The bottles can get expensive and the wines are hit or miss.

Shane Morgado-Rivard

The ambiance is great and also a great staff

Great view, great wine

Jeff McHugh

Best Winery in the state! Staff is knowledgeable, views are gorgeous, and the wine is fantastic!

I arrived with 2 friends at approximately 2:30 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon in early spring. There were a ton of cars in the parking lot and we needed to park rather far away from the main building. The parking lot is not paved and the gravel pieces are huge, so you will need to wear thick soled-comfortable shoes to get from the parking lot to the main building without twisting an ankle. It was a 60-degree, sunny weather day and sitting outside was an option but not a good one without a heavy sweater or jacket. Inside the main building it was extremely packed. There were no tables available. We tried calling ahead to reserve a table but no one answered the phone. We had to go to the bar to ask how the place worked because no one greets you upon entry. You have to seat yourself and then walk up to the bar and place your order and then they bring your food and drink over to your table inside or outside. I think a lot of wineries work this way nowadays. I can't comment on the wine or the food because we were not able to stay and drink or eat. I recommend you try this place on a sunny, 65+ degree day and plan to sit outside.

Garrett McCurdy

Wonderful wine and amazing building and view. Our tasting host, Brianna, was excellent.

Bill Brewer

Great place. Family-orientated.Can't wait to go back.

Wonderful afternoon the winery is beautiful.

We hosted our daughter's bridal shower at Hawk Ridge Winery. The shower was held outside under the tent. We had a perfect day! The staff at the winery was great, the set up was beautiful and Michele was very helpful through all of the planning. Hawk Ridge is a great place to throw a party!

This is most definitely a unique experience top to bottom, to the point where we weren't sure how to go about it when we walked in. Helpful employee gave us the rundown of the tasting/purchasing/ordering operation and within minutes the game was on. I will say this, if you taste 5 or 6 wines that's going to be a fair amount of wine in your system. Just keep in mind that you want to save room for AFTER the tasting when you're relaxing outside with your bottle. I did not do that, and by the time we left the place I was pretty sauced. The views and seating outside are seriously amazing, and this is a great place to kill a couple hours with friends and family. Will be back for sure...with a lunch bag. Also, still not sure if you're allowed to take the glasses or not, but with for the amount of money I dropped on wine, I figured they'd be okay with it!

I came here with a group of friends on a Saturday afternoon. The location is beautiful and nice and large inside. There is also plenty of parking available. They have a large menu and wine selection available. I'll say that the food is a little pricey for the amount you get but it is delicious. They had a fire going as well as live music which was awesome.

Adam Jansky

Great wine selection, menu and apps. The Owner was very friendly and gave us a complimentary glass of wine for our anniversary.

Yoga Lover4Life

Nice place. I came here for a yoga event back in June. We thought it was cool. It was a good class. I hope they do it again.

Matt Werner

Took the nice drive up based on a suggestion from a co-worker and we certainly were not disappointed. The main winery are is very open with a great covered porch that has picnic tables, high top tables and Adirondack chairs. We started with the tasting which is 6 tastes for $11 and you get to keep the wine glass, not a bad deal. My wife and I got a glass of white and grabbed a Adirondack chair on the grass area. The view is incredible! They have food, but we brought snacks, which many others people seemed to as well. Kid friendly and dog friendly. We will be back!

James Redway

Awesome place to hangout. I am not normally a wine guy but the summer slushy wine is amazing. The atmosphere is great and it is pet friendly outside. The have food but I would recommend bringing your own food and get more wine
