I love this place. The wait staff is always introducing me to a new wine. The food is always great. You can pop in for a short dinner or bring a group and make it a few hours. The weekends can be busy but you generally don’t have to wait long.

Normally a great experience, the service was fantastic as always, unfortunately the food was off for the first time in years..think the kitchen was rushing food, the chorizo and figs, and the sweet potatoes each needed more time, way undercooked. The medium strip steak was far closer to rare, mistake was possibly arriving at the switch to the dinner menu

We had not been here in quite a while, as we had a less than stellar experience last time we ate there. Last night we decided to give it another shot. What a difference! We had a great meal! We were greeted at our table by 3 servers, one of which was in training, and the manager while we enjoyed our evening. They could not have been more knowledgeable, accommodating, or willing to please. Can’t wait to go back!

Cool vibe, mostly young crowd. Food and drinks. Very nice atmosphere which I did not expect because it is located on the lower level of the Hi-Ho Motel, which has outdoor hallways. Convenient from the Merritt Parkway in CT, only half mile away.

I love authentic Spanish food and know what it tastes like and this was not it. Paella was not made from scratch and you could tell. Wouldn't go back

We had a great meal. All the tapas we ordered were excellent. We had the seafood paella and unfortunately it wasn't so good. The manager took it off the bill and gave us an olive oil cake as compensation. We felt it was very fair. Definitely coming again:)

I wanted to give a special shout out to Rob and his staff for making a friend and my birthday celebration an amazing event!! We had close to 20 guests (all women), and you guys were so accommodating! You promised you would have endless tapas flowing, and you did not disappoint!! Rafael, our server, was amazing. Considering he had to deal with 19+ women in our party, he handled everything with such ease and a smile! Everyone had a blast!!! Thank you all for a truly memorable birthday!!!

We came for Sunday brunch. The mimosa bar was a great deal with 50% off bottles of wine. We did a mix of tapas, ordered 4 in total for 2 people, but the mimosa bar includes cheeses and meats, so we probably could of just ordered 3 tapas. The staff were extremely friendly, including both managers who came to our table and introduced themselves. I would highly recommend.

Food 8/10 Service 10/10 Atmosphere 7/10 I am pretty new to Tapas so I'll be completely honest... I had no idea what to order. Thankfully I had a fantastic server who walked us through the menu and gave fantastic recommendations for wine pairings. Everything I ordered was delicious, bmhowever I would recommend stsying away from their happy hour type foods. Everything that we got off what I call the "budget menu" came out pretty dry. In terms of atmosphere, I would avoid eating outside if you are sensitive to noise. It's odd being attached to a hotel, but you are also a few hundred feet away from The Merrit which can be pretty loud.

Food is good but there is always something about this place that makes me not like it every time and it is usually the service. They either forget a dish, take forever with drinks, or simply ignore requests such as providing separate bills when asked for in advance. I keep trying every few months but it's always the same. There are better places to go for sure.

My wife and I sat at the corner of the bar., a great spot for talking to each other. On Sunday, bottle wine is 50%off so for the cost of two glasses you can get a full bottle, you can take home any wine left. Interaction with Josh the bartender was great he assisted us with the menu. Food was very good and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Stopped here for a quick bite enroute to my destination. Its a authentic Spanish spot. Even though it's a fine dine restaurant & a wine bar, tapas items were pretty quickly served. Staff was SUPER COURTEOUS. Definitely recommend this place if you're around here.

One of our favorite places, by far our favorite of the Barcelona restaurants. Very well run, excellent staff, great cocktails, and the tapas make for a delicious and fun meal to be shared. The fresh bread is a treat all to it's self, delivered to your table piping shot with a wonderful crust. Don't miss the hanger steak, and the Whiskey Root cocktail. Enjoy!

This was a treat. The Barcelona Wine bar is a great place to go with family or a date. The drinks are pleasant and the food was delicious. It is a tapas place, so you have the option at trying different plates. If you live in the area or are just traveling through like I was, this place is a must. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The staff even brought us some plates we didn't order so we can try it. By far one of the best dinning experiences I have had as a local guide. Note: although there are stairs to enter the restaurant, there is a back entrance for any person with a disability. We have gone to Barcelona for years and absolutely love the tapas selection. I would high recommend the ham and cheese croquettes, potato pancakes, mushrooms with goat cheese. They atmosphere is nice and the staff is great but the retro style feeling that was first cool when they opened needs an update. The old school hotel above realized this, I think it’s time for Barcelona as well.

Underneath the Hi-Ho Hotel, this Spanish restaurant is large and has a cool retro '70s vibe, with plenty of outdoor seating. Here, you order many tapas instead of an appetizer and an entree, and share between the group. Overall the selection was very good and so was most of the food. Occasionally you'll find one dish that doesn't please everyone, but that's almost inevitable when you order twenty different items. The staff was friendly and when we went, there was live music which was quite nice. A good choice if your looking for something new or a more fun atmosphere, somewhere great with friends or family.

Fun menu great for sharing, lots of variety. Had bacon wrapped dates, grilled eggplant, garden risotto, beef empanadas and red sangria. Everything was well prepared and flavorful. Got the dulce crepes with ice cream for dessert, yummy. With the bread and olive oil, it was a great light meal for two. Ate on patio and enjoyed a breeze on a warm evening.

Great food, Great wine selection and amazing staff. Went here for our anniversary dinner and food was delicious as always. We've been to the one in New Haven before but this was just as good. The setting is much different than the one in New Haven. This one has a much more homey feel. We ordered a couple of drinks, I didn't like one of them and the waitress was kind enough to get me a replacement for free. The food is great, selection of tapas is amazing and the menu changes. Don't sleep on the desert either they have a good selection! I'd definitely recommend it.

I was there with a party of 10 people, including myself. Atmosphere was excellent, food was great. The only thing we didn’t like as a whole was that when bringing new dishes to the table the waitress wouldn’t remove the ones that were cleared. We had to keep asking to remove them. Other than that everything was great!

We thoroughly enjoy our meals at Barcelona. The food and drink is excellent and the service is as well. It is important to tell your waiter/waitress to bring plates spaced apart, as the kitchen will send out multiple dishes if not restrained. Should you be handicapped, I believe that you must enter through the Hi-Ho hotel.

Went the for girls night, the weather was great but we sat inside anyways. It was really busy but the service was still excellent! Drinks were awesome, food is great as well! We ordered a meat and cheese plate, and 9 other tapas dishes and it was perfect for the of us sharing. This is a great spot for happy hour, friends get together or even date night! Outdoor seating is great if it's not too hot!

I cannot say enough about this place!! Went here for my 21st birthday, made reservations for 14 people on a Sunday with no problem. They had a table set up both outside and inside for me for my convenience upon getting there in deciding where we wanted to sit. We decided to sit outside and the atmosphere was BEAUTIFUL!! Felt like I was truly back in Spain. My waitress (I forget her name, she was pale with dark hair and gauges - very friendly and phenomenal service) gave me a whole bottle of champagne on the house for my birthday. She brought my wine glass out with a little candle on it which was such a nice and unique touch. She also gave me a dessert sampler for free at the end of our meal that came with the lava cake, flan, and cheesecake. We ordered a ton of cheese and meats, a ton of tapas, and a ton of desserts and the food was INCREDIBLE. I was a little nervous at first because I was hesitant about how small the portions of the cheese and meats were but we ordered 3 meats and 3 cheeses to share with the 14 people at our table and it was enough to satisfy. The tapas portions were great and the desserts were huge!! We also ordered a couple pitchers of sangria and it was soooooo goooodddd. At the end of our meal our waitress gave me 2 free tokens for 2 tapas or beers next time we come. We will definitely be back! One of my new favorite spots. Incredible food, incredible friendly and knowledgeable staff, and incredible dining atmosphere. I give it a 11/10, THANK YOU BARCELONA!!❤️
