Really awesome views. Casual wine tasting. The hostess seemed a bit busy so we did not get to chat much, but still an enjoyable experience.

Patti Nesi

Great staff. The sweet girl that served us was amazing unfortunately I didn't catch her name. Ower made us feel welcome and spoke to everyone as in he knew us all personally. Wine was wounderful. Love love love this place.

Hunter Miller

Not very friendly... at all. And not exactly conveniently located, either. Don't expect to see me again. Too many other options.

The setting is beautiful and the wine was fantastic. And if you're lucky enough to be there when John, the owner is there, you have hit the jackpot.

We discovered Sutcliffe wines while dining at The Tinderbox Kitchen, a very fine restaurant in Flagstaff, Arizona. Since then we have visited Sutcliffe Vineyards on many occasions and find the entire staff to be very knowledgeable, helpful, and very easy to to deal with. Joe Buckle, the winemaker, is almost always there and often times John, the owner, is there himself. if John is there you are in for a real treat because john is not only very knowledgeable and takes his wine very seriously but is a raconteur of the highest order and is more fun than a barrel of monkeys. Sutcliffe wines are some of the very best American wines and hold their own with the more well known fine wines of California. We recommend trying them in some of the best restaurants in Santa Fe, Durango, Telluride, etc and recommend visiting them in their lovely location near Cortez, Colorado. We live in a rather remote area of the southwest and although we visit the vineyard from time to time to restock, we also belong to their wine club and receive shipments four times a year so that we won't run out

Sutcliffe Vineyards is nestled in McElmo Canyon and is an experience you do not want to miss. We tasted wine and met two new friends in Chloe, hostess, and John, proprietor. The wine was excellent and the staff superb! We enjoy reds and our travel companions prefer whites. No one was disappointed. Chloe saw to our needs and wants as we chatted with John for nearly two hours! What a lovely place to relax and enjoy friends and wonderful wine! We will be back!!

Great little winery. Skip the rest and come here. Beautiful views and very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

I rarely ever post reviews, but this is one that was worth posting. Hopefully I will spare someone else from such a bad experience! Staff was very rude! $10 for 4 tastings and the gal made sure that they were thimble size pours. When the gal tried to give me the dregs of a "2 day old bottle" - i.e. the bottom of the bottle, I politely refused that tasting. Apparently my sophistication offended her and on the last pour she made sure it was even less than a thimble! In fact, I barely experienced the tasting because it was such a small amount at the bottom of my glass - couldn't smell the bouquet, enjoy the color, or savor the wine. Of course, the "members" that came in after us were doled out some pretty generous pours - almost 1/3 of a glass!! Winery staff should never assume their customers. I may be a wine critic, a journalist, or even a very affluent person willing to buy a couple cases, but she sealed the deal by making a judgement and not treating my sister and I with the same service and respect she treated others with. If you're not a member, don't waste your time and money! I had much better treatment in Napa Valley (and other wineries) and the wine was worth so much more! Oh well, Sutcliffe winery loses! Not me...other than $20 for two tastings. Wish I could give a negative star!!

Expensive wine.

Chris Alanis

Not friendly or welcoming, with vulgar signage displayed on their property.

Michael Thomas

Called ahead. Twice phone message welcomes you to come wine tasting between 12/5 daily. Drove 40 minutes one way. Upon arrival told closed for special event which was in the set up stage. Cursory apology. Huge disappointment. Although vineyards looked a bit wilted to be honest. Bad PR organization.

Sonja Alvarez

Sierra was a very friendly server for the wine learner alot more about wine from her.
