Great fruit wines...if you're into that. Traditional wines are so-so IMHO. Oldest winery in Colorado so worth seeing, they also have a library of Cab Sav and Merlot, some dating to 1978!

Sally Hallingstad

Wine was not our jam but staff was lovely and generous. And the swag was cute!

Had a fun tasting, small place but luckily we had it to ourselves mostly. Wide variety of fruit wines and gifts.

Marcie Nash

This is a great place to taste wine. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The wine is very good also. A great place for gifts also.

Can't comment on the taste of their wine. Never got past the unfriendly service. Not a friendly place to cyclists. They should reassess their tasting policy to be more competitive with other wineries in the area.

Jessica Anderson

Delicious fruit wines and their 2013 port is awesome.

lindsay Madsen

Love the wines. The pomegranate and the blueberry wine are my favorite. Friendly staff. Definitely worth checking out

Please remove the false accusation of me stealing. This is slander. I'll remove THIS post if you do so. I'm originally from Denver, CO and currently live in Tacoma, WA. There are no other Nova Seewalds out there. Maybe you have the name wrong. Please remove post today.

Incredible views from the vineyard up on the mesa. They're Chardonnay is probably the best in the Grand Valley. Chokecherry wine is a unique specialty.

Great wines and great customer services!

I've never been to the winery, but will one day. I buy the wine locally here in Denver. The mead is my ultimate favorite, the honey sits on your tongue and is just so perfectly sweet for me. I usually grab a bottle of the fruit wines when going to a friend's house, and never leave with a full bottle. This is truly some of the best wine I've ever had, and this comes from someone who hates alcohol, I can easily down a bottle every time.

Shaun Smith

Great wines all around and an excellent staff. Definitely one of the go-to places in the area.

I always enjoy the drive to buy wine at Colorado Cellars. It is peaceful and beautiful. The wine they make is good. Every flavor I have tried is pretty good. I can't say this about all wines. They also gave a place for events with grass, trees for shade, and a view of Mt Garfield.

The vintage Cab Sauvs are awesome - the 1991 is great, but you can also choose one from your birth year which is pretty cool. They also have some really good food products made with their wine.

Derek Lane

Great wines all around - I loved the meads the best.

Wonderful winery. Definitely stop by when in the area.

I only give this place 1 star because I cannot give it less. It was clear from the moment we walked in that the six of us were not welcome. The nicest way I can describe the woman who worked there is unfriendly. On top of this, their policies and pricing are completely uncompetitive with the other wineries in the area: it costs $5 to do any sort of tasting (other places give you a few tastes for free) and they won’t credit your tasting fee to the price of a bottle if you buy one. Bottom line: there are so many other good wineries in this area that want your business and treat you well. Skip this one. Do not go to this place if you ride a bike. Gravel road to the winery and once we arrive (with 5 cyclists) we were immediately told to park our bikes further away from the building even though the parking lot was empty. Immediately upon entering the tasting room, we were told that we needed to show ID (we are all over 40) and that tastings were $5. I asked if this would be waived if we bought a bottle and she said there would be a 5% discount for 3 bottles purchased. There are many wineries in the area that are more cyclist friendly and have better customer service. Steer clear of this winery.

We had puppies with us. They provided a water bowl and fresh water. We arrived late in the afternoon and the hostess made it an enjoyable stop.

Rick MT

We arrived on bikes and parked them against the picnic tables outside the front door and were asked to move them to the bike rack so others could use the tables. We were asked for ID's and noticed the sign posted that stated this was the law for anyone under 50 (Colorado Statute 12-47-901(10)(a)...I copied this to check and it's true). I wanted to ship wine rather than carry it, but it was a Wednesday and expected to be 100 degrees for the next week, so they said it would sit in a UPS truck over the weekend and talked me into waiting until Monday so it would ship straight through. Everything about this place was efficient and professional, there were 30 wines to try and dozens of foods. The $5 tasting charge is way less than a glass of wine in a restaurant and it's equal in volume... to bad I can't give more than 5 stars!
