Really great vineyard with great wines. We tasted a bunch of different wines. The staff were super friendly and the store is really nicely set up. Their wines are very reasonably priced. The vineyard is in a beautiful location with stunning views of the mountains. Definitely worth a visit.

Mom knows best! Carlson Vineyards is my mom's favorite vineyard by a long shot. I decided to get her a few bottles of wine for mothers day. The order was submitted 5 days before mothers day (oops) but the service was fantastic and the package arrived at my mom's doorstep 2 days before mothers day. Carlson vineyards not only manages to make the best wine around but also bring world class customer service. You won't regret going with Carlson!

This winery is worth the time. They are very friendly and extremely helpful. They have excellent wines and were very helpful in the selection of desired wines. I explained what type of wine I was looking for and they were able to provide me with a selection to choose from. Their different types of wines will meet your desires. I was able to find two delightful wines to meet my requirements. Their prices are very reasonable as well. They also have a selection of gifts to choose from as well.

Came to Grand Junction for 2018 spring barrel tasting. Toured 4 of the planned wineries and 2 neighboring tasting rooms. Carlson was by far the best selection and flavor profiles of the entire day. The 2016 Terra sampling was fabulous. Complex flavor, well balanced, easy drinking. This will be released later this summer and will be a hit. Cab franc and calico are also great reds. The dry reisling sampling was also fantastic. Promises to be a summer favorite. Fabulous staff and friendly owners. Must visit if in the area.

This place is the best. They give you free tastings. They have the best bathroom ever. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the wines they carried. I wish this was the first we went to it set the standards for the vineyards we visited this day. We had gone to six other vineyards this was the best.

It's a little out of the way, but most wineries are. The staff are friendly and the wine tastes good. A nice variety of sweet, semisweet and dry. One of the few wineries that produce good quality of all types.

In my opinion, Carlson is one of the best wineries in the valley. They have an amazing variety of wines. The tasting are well organized and relaxed. If you are wanting to just enjoy your day, buy a bottle and retreat to the lovely outdoor seating area and enjoy the scenery. Be sure to ask about their wine club.

Great experience!! We are staying about 3 hours away in Breckenridge and decided to do a couple of wine tours on Monday. The two ladies who worked in the winery for tastings were some wonderful people. They made us laugh and really made our trip memorable. Loved the cat theme in the winery!!! Passing through Grand Junction on a road trip across the country. Decided to stop for a day and do some wine tasting. Carlson winery was the first place we stopped, and it was great. We did a bunch of wine tastings, loved the terra dry red and fruit wines. Owner and staff were personable and gave great recommendations. Made our stop in Grand Junction memorable, would strongly recommend!! We were also able to see the downtown tasting location for Carlson, which was modern and had the same excellent wine selection! :)

Cute place to do some wine tastings. It is a smaller store, but they still have lots of options. The staff was very friendly and there are cats there you can pet. The wine tasting is free, they just ask that you only do 5-6 tastings. The wine is very reasonable priced. I would recommend and I would go back again!

The peach wine and sweet baby red wine are awesome! And the pricing is reasonable. I almost rated it a 4 instead of 5 star because the tasting is done in plastic cups instead of glass like the other wineries and the tasting room is nothing fancy, but the wine made up for it.

Don't skip the family owned colorado local vinery with plenty of vines to try... if you want high end sophisticated experience, maybe move on, but if you are looking for fun vines to taste... you are at the right place. Riesling and Gewirtztraminer are excellent... in a sweet family, and if you are in a need of a fruit wine, well this might be one of the best...

Every wine I tried, whether it was the dry red blend called Calico or the delicious cherry served with dark chocolate, they were delicious. This place knows how to make yummy, affordable wine. Not only that, the service was great. The ladies in the tasting room are nice and friendly and enjoy taking their time to talk about the various wines they have. It's a little gem that I think anyone would appreciate.
