We ordered the grilled octopus, brie grilled cheese and grilled chicken sandwich. They were all delicious! The octopus was cooked really well and everything on that plate went really well together! The grilled cheese was fantastic. Fig jam, avocado, bacon, and brie. I don't know that I could ask for more. Drool.

Some good wine and we really appreciated the samples. People were friendly. We wanted to sit and have a couple glasses and order a couple cases but we sat for 20 minutes with nobody even noticing us. Went to the counter and stood for 10 minutes without recognition from anyone so we left without purchasing anything. Severely disappointed in the service.

LOL. Staff was excellent. Very knowledgeable. It’s a shame though because the wine is... not good. Food was ok. Not sure how so many people could be so wrong. The only mildly interesting pour was the CSU Shiraz. The owner was pretty well versed and experienced.

This place is fantastic. Got to try almost 20 wines. The wine maker's wife took us on a tour of the cellar. It was the most informative winery tour I've ever been on. She was funny and personable! I learned so much and got to taste some great flavors and unique wines. I always appreciate a family run business like this where there is an incredible amount of passion. I will be back.

Great wine tasting experience. We were able to take a tour of the cellar and see their wine making process. It was a wonderful time. All of the staff was incredibly friendly. I especially enjoyed tasting the wines back to back by location (Colorado vs Lodi, CA). That was a new and unique experience to taste the same grape and same wine made in the same method by the same winemaker and having geography as the only difference. We will definitely be back next time we are in Colorado.

If you have time take a tour with the owner, Birdie, your won't be disappointed. This is a family business so there's a good chance the owner or his grandkids will be doing tastings at the counter. This is one of our favorite places in Denver and the events they host are always incredible. This is a must if you are visiting Denver or just looking for great wines

I've been coming here for many years. Since the winery was an itty bitty tiny house. I absolutely love this place, John, Birdie, Julie, Jessica and everyone else in staff. Lovely place, great wines and a fantastic time every time you come here. I've been a wine memberfor many years to so I take advantage of every single new wine they have out and it is amazing. If this is your first time visiting, ask for a little tour. Very insightful and fun. Their events are full of fun as well. Just come and you won't be disappointed. Fantastic lunch experience on a Friday, welcoming knowledgeable staff with a huge variety of wines to sample. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, they also have event space. The lunches were prepared quickly and perfectly done. I had carrot gnocchi with chicken, so delicious! My friend had the scallops in salad, beautiful. We had salted caramel gelato that included mini biscotti and strawberry garnishment. I can't say enough about this delightful find, you must try it!!

We did extensive google searches and combed through wedding websites looking for our venue. We consider ourselves lucky we stumbled upon Balistreri Vineyards. Jessica was our event coordinator and from the first time we spoke with her we knew Balistreri would be our venue. She was kind, accommodating, and very down to earth. Throughout our visits to the venue including the day of the ceremony we met several members of the staff as well as members of the family who own Balistreri. All were incredibly kind and very welcoming. As is the case for almost every couple, budget was a concern for our wedding. Balistreri allows you to bring in food from an outside caterer but we elected to have Balistreri cater the food. Jessica and her staff asked what our budget was and put together a menu based on our budget, rather than other places who required we make our budget fit their menus and pricing. We feel like we got a steal on our menu. Not only did they come in slightly under the budget we provided but the food was amazing. We had many of our guests talking for weeks after the event about how delicious the food was and how many of the passed appetizers they ate! As a winery, Balistreri obviously makes their own wine, and it is high quality. We strongly recommend the cherry wine, we ended up serving it during our reception and the guests loved it. In addition to their wine, Balistreri allows you to bring in your own outside alcohol, which was a huge cost saver. True to Colorado form, it was snowing the day before our April wedding so Jessica discussed with us at length alternate setup plans. She allowed us to make a game day decision for an indoor vs outdoor option and planned it out in such detail that we did not worry. The weather ended up being beautiful and we were able to hold the ceremony outdoors but either location would have been just what we wanted! Our only minor hiccup was that the venue is a working winery and therefore has patrons there during the day prior to the start of the event, which made setting up a few of our tables a little tricky. Despite this, Jessica assured us the other patrons would be gone, tables ready by the start of the ceremony. Sure enough, she made it happen so that everything was set up just how we wanted by ceremony go time without exception. Everything came together and looked beautiful, just the way we had envisioned it. Looking back, we cannot imagine hosting our wedding at any other venue. From the beautiful grounds, to the delicious wine, to the accommodating staff, Balistreri was a big part of making our big day the amazing day it was.

This is my happy place! Best vineyard in Denver, and best wines!! Free tastings (including entire wine offering!) and free crackers, cheeses and fruit. The food is also outstanding and tour is great! Be mindful that the wines have a higher content perfectage of alcohol, so please plan accordingly. But definitely a place to stop by if you are spending time in Denver!!

Sadly I wish I could give more stars. The food was superb and the wine was excellent, but the service was not. To bring the check, pick up the check, and bring it back took about 30 minutes after our wine and food was finished so we just sat there waiting. I never received the second glass of wine that I ordered and the check had to be brought back by another waitress so we never saw ours after the 30 minutes. While I will ammend this review if I have the pleasure of visiting here again and have a different experience it is not currently on my list of places to visit again. But again, excellent wine and food I hope your experience will be different.

The wines are so good!!! They make most of their wines with local Colorado grapes, as well as some others with grapes from California. It's family-run, and everyone is really nice and knows what they're talking about. It seems like they release new wines every month or two, so it's a place you can visit pretty regularly if you're in Denver.

Tonight I was the violinist for a wedding at Balistreri. I've been to several of their amazing free wine tastings, but this was my first wedding job there. What a lovely venue! The outdoor garden area is perfect for weddings! There is even an overhang of the roof where musicians can play and be sheltered from rain. And the large indoor room has a gorgeous staircase for grand entrances, so indoor weddings would also be wonderful here.

Great place to spend a afternoon in Denver. All of their wines have no sulfite added. It's rare for people with sulfite sensitivity but I do like the idea that Balistreri keeps their wine pure and do most of their advertising through word of mouth. Most of their bottles can only be purchased here. The grandmother gave us a tour of the cellar and grandson Ray helped pour our free tastings. I could tell the family puts a lot of love into the place. The catering space is also nice and roomy for events. Out of the 15 or so we sampled, we picked up the sweet Zinfandel and Pinot Grigio. Wow! I went here with a friend for my birthday weekend. The tasting room is a little outside Denver, and although the surrounding area looks a bit industrial, the place itself is charming. The event room is spacious and beautiful, and the atmosphere is welcoming from the Balistreri staff and family. We received a pamphlet with a tasting guide. All complementary! Cheese and wine was available for free as well. Tour was free and given with enough demand from tasters. We didn't feel any pressure to purchase wine or food (lunch and dinner are available as well!). Great place, great wine!

Fantastic little spot! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. The owner and his wife are fantastic to talk to, very passionate about what they do. The wine - We love it. Not everyone will because it's not like commercial wine. It's made the way wine is supposed to be made - no sulfites, no additives. It's all natural, the old school Italian way. Tastings are free and next to impossible to walk out of there without a few bottles. The food is really good. We like the hummus and bacon wrapped dates.

I can not say enough good things about Balistreri Vineyards. I have been a loyal patron and visitor for about 5 years since I found this special family-owned and operated establishment and have brought visitors from all over the country here during visits to Colorado - it's an absolute must. Not only are their wines excellent, they offer the most expansive tasting I have ever been to - there is a wine there for everyone's taste preferences and you'll be certain to go home with at least one bottle of a favorite. I have been served by the owner himself, his wife, daughter, grand daughter and grandson - all of whom maintain the welcoming and knowledgeable atmosphere they've always had since my first visit 5 years ago. Their new tasting room is beautiful and their menu is absolutely phenomenal - do yourself a favor and have lunch, a snack or dinner there - I just had the veal meatballs and pesto gnocchi last weekend and we nearly licked the plate clean! While they have expanded into a bit more elaborate operation, they still maintain the personal and family quality they've always had. In fact, it is worth shining a light on the kindness offered by the owner last weekend when my fiance and I biked there and our trip home was to be a dark one at the end of the day - as we were putting out helmets and lights on, he came outside and offered to put our bikes in his truck and drive us home. We were overwhelmed at the thoughtful gesture, and while we still chose to bike ourselves home, we are still talking about how wonderfully kind it was for him to be so considerate. We will continue to be loyal patrons and would HIGHLY recommend others to make the visit to Balistreri. It's truly an enjoyable experience and the wines they produce clearly showcase the careful attention to detail and quality of a passionate and talented winemaker. Cheers!

This place is FANTASTIC. My boyfriend and I flew into Colorado during Winter Storm Kayla. Most of the outdoor activities were out of the question. We were looking for wineries, and Balistreri had the highest ratings. After our visit, I can certainly see why! This family-owned winery is beautiful! Originally a greenhouse, the winery had beautiful flower arrangements through out the tasting room. The winemakers granddaughter led us through their complimentary tasting. She was very friendly and informative. The wines were so pure and tasty. The winemaker's daughter took us on a tour of the winery. I can't say enough good things about their venue, food, wine, and incredible staff. We reserved the venue for a 100 person wedding reception. From the first walk through to the big day, their team was helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Our guest have been ranting and raving about the backyard, the banquet hall, and the flexibility both provide for numerous activities and arrangements. If I could give advice to future events, I'd only remind staff to make sure that the grass is not watered the day before and that it would be helpful to have a sign on the table if kegs are used by the guest. On the day of the event, we showed up to find a deep puddle of water where the grass meets the parking lot. Unfortunately, this was where our food truck and dinner tables were supposed to be setup. The rest of the grass was incrementally less wet and thankfully the Colorado sun dried up most of it by the end of the day. Staff was quick to adjust layout plans with us so that the food truck could have another drier location so I commend them on listening, adapting, and progressing. As for the kegs, we found out after the event that a lot of guest did not realize there was beer available since the kegs were behind the serving table and on the ground. One thing that could be done is to have a venue owned small table sign that says "Beer Available" or "We have keg Beer". A mini stand up chalkboard table sign could also be used to fill in the type of beer. With those two comments noted, everything else was absolutely incredible. The bartenders were personable, staff was responsive, and fees were reasonable relative to everything you get in return. I would highly and proudly recommend this venue for anyone seeking something with flexibility for BYOB, outside catering allowed, a beautiful venue, and staff that are amazing to work with. Thank you for making our day everything we had hoped for!

great scenery, lovely set up. however, the staff that hosted our event was by far the worst and the decor for a company holiday party was so peonic and simple... whatevs those petty souls didn't ruin my good time....

Wonderful wines! My favorite is the Cherry wine. Considered dessert however only slightly sweet and fantastically tart .Not sour .won't give you a bite but a nice tartness with a light body. Worth a visit.

Wines are sweeter than most of the stuff you can find in a liquor store which is good if you're into sweet wines. Service was okay, interior furnishings seemed a bit chaotic.

All of the wines are made in house and from Colorado grown grapes, perfect way to support a local business and taste some amazing wine, don’t forget to take the tour down to the cellar.
