Me and my son were touring The area on two harleys and were introduced to the winery by a local friend and were certainly not disappointed at all The staff were very polite and very informative . They gave us, and others, that were there a full tour of facilities and we watched some grapes being brought in from the fields and being processed etc. we were also showed the storage area, and various blends in there barrels being stored untill ready for bottling. The wine tasting was very enjoyable and no question was missed and was answered with good information . I can recommend this winery for a visit ,as the wines were in my humble opinion "very good"

Excellent personalized experience from knowledgeable sommeliers. Wonderful experience!!

Such an amazing vineyard. My husband and I went here 8 years ago before we were married with great friends. It left such an incredible mark in our minds that this past year we traveled back from New York with those same friends. We are now married and we brought our two children. We couldn't wait to get back to "Vincent". He was there with an amazing friendly staff and it was such a wonderful visit. The wine was so delicious, which is the most important thing obviously. We signed up for a case of futures, after trying everything they had to offer. The case just arrived today and we popped our first bottle. If you are traveling to Napa/Sonoma, don't miss Calistoga and Vincent Arroyo. This vineyard will keep you wanting more and more.

Small, quaint winery in calistoga. Had the pleasure of being hosted by Jeff. He ws as energetic, accomodating, knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend time with. Wines were great and reasonably priced. They do not offer club memberships, but were accomodating to plan our cases sends over a 6 month window. We will be back on future visits from the east coast. Nice change from the traditional, commercial winery tastings. If in Calistoga worth a visit.

Steve Swindel

Great wine and friendly, unpretentious people. My favorite Napa winery.

Denise Stegall

Fabulous wine, I mean FABULOUS wine!! During our wine tasting we were welcomed like old friends. We enjoyed each of the wine tasted and were so impressed with the Petite Sirah that we ordered futures. We have never been incluned to do that before! If you are looking for a special wine tasting experience look no further than Vincent Arroyo!

Amazing wine and staff!

We had a great experience at the winery. Very friendly staff, took their time to show us a lot of things we did not know about. If you're looking for a personal experience at visiting a vineyard, this is definitely the place to go! Lovely wine and not to mention the reduced balsamic vinegar and the condiment olive oil with garlic, peppers and other deliciousness. Oh yeah, forgot to mention, they did not charge for the wine tasting. Great place!!!

Ozgur Soner

I was at the barrel tasting event. Perfect experienc with fabulous wine selection. Focused on red. I absolutely recommend their Entrada. Enjoy.

Thought they had free wine tasting (as recent reviews reflect) but I was told today it's $20 per person so either they have changed their wine tasting policy or they were being fishy with me

Excellent experience! One of our favorites during our recent trip to Napa & Sonoma. It was a tiny, boutique winery that was not commercial or touristy. This was truly a hidden gem. We arrived early for our appointment, but they were so friendly, accommodating and welcoming. They poured us chardonnay and rose to enjoy outside while we waited. I could have spent all day out there (pictured) it was absolutely beautiful! We had an amazing tour, which basically felt like a private tour since it was just our party. Our guide was so down to earth, friendly, informative, and knowledgeable. We all really connected with him, which really made the experience so enjoyable. We all loved how there were 2 dogs on the property and followed us around for our tour. All of the wines were excellent and they allowed us to taste so many! So happy to purchase a variety of wines from this great place and cannot wait to order more in the future. Thanks for such a memorable experience!

Emily Giel

We had a great time at Vincent Arroyo! Free tastings are provided of some amazing wines from a family winery, and we loved learning about the grape-growing process from Jeff. We would definitely return!

LR S

Excellent cab in addition to VERY excellent petite sirah. Great staff. And Mr Vincent himself is a delight!

Chris Good

We had a great time wine tasting at Vincent Arroyo. We were able to make an appointment for 7 people to taste the morning of on a Saturday which I didn't expect would work. All the wines were excellent and Teddy was extremely knowledgeable and funny and gave us a tour of the winery. Highly recommend this place!

Mingmei Niu

One of the best wineries in Napa valley --- knowledgeable friendly accessible with a nice garden!

This is our favorite winery in Napa. They make amazing petite sirahs and will give you a really nice tour with your tasting. Down to earth and family owned. Some cute labs are running around as well! The wine is is good that it’s hard believe the tasting is free!! Make sure to call ahead.

Rob Harrison

The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The overall experience was relaxed and free of the pretentiousness one finds at some vineyard tastings. Well worth the trip

Deborah Wojtala

This winery is one of the best secrets of Calistoga. My favorite is the Rattlesnake Petite Sirah. ..so goid. Everyone that works there is knowledgeable and makes sure you have an excellent experience. Vincent himself will stop in amd meet the guests.

Thanks to David and the crew at VA for a wonderful experience. It was very informative and down to earth. The wines are great too without all the pomp.

First reservation made in Napa and it was everything the reviews said. Amazing wines.... tour of their production process and barrel room... Jim was terrific from wine knowledge to fun conversations/stories.... black lab Rosie loved playing fetch.... make a reservation and put Vincent Arroyo at the top of your list!

Sammy James

Vincent Arroyo it's hard to think of Napa Valley wine without thinking of the greater Arroyo Family they are a class act all the way around. Now in the 2nd generation Adrian and Matt carry on the tradition that Vince championed. From Barrel tastings, to Library wine tastings with paella!! And the winemakers dinner makes them the true Gem of the Napa Valley! You have friends in the wine business it's all about the family stop by enjoy a tasting!

Kyle Lemons

We did a wine tasting with Ted and it was spectacular. He tailored his tour and his descriptions to our engineering/technical backgrounds and he was easily able to answer all of our questions. The tasting would have been well worth the $10 price tag, but I ended up making a purchase (and you will too).

The tour was great and the guide was very informative. Their wines- especially the sangiovese were great! The special touch was surely the vineyard pups Rosie and Bottega-the sweetest dogs and made us miss our own while we were there! We will visit again for sure!

Tiffany Duong

This feels like the mom-&-pop stop of amazing wineries. Totally boutique, and totally worth the hype. THE TASTINGS The tastings are free, which is always very much appreciated. The wines themselves are mild and well-structured. I enjoyed the whites and reds we were able to taste. I particularly loved that our guide had us do side-by-side comparisons of reds opened up the night before (left over) and fresh bottles, so we could see how just one night of opening up really changed the flavors and let them breathe. We also were able to try their stellar olive oil (estate-made) and the cabernet sauvignon balsamic. THIS in my opinion, was the best thing there. They make very limited press, and it is SO good -- thick, sweet, tangy, and not overpowering. I could eat this all day (and I did get a bottle, so I just may!) THE SERVICE The people here really are happy, and it shows. Our guide was so attentive and kind in answering all our questions, providing history and backstory to all he told us to make the vineyard come alive for us, and to even show us the awesome tricks the wine dog knows. We learned about the salmon that come through here, how the vinegar is made, why the soil doesn't particularly look very fresh, and so much more. Our guide was patient, friendly, professional, and super engaging. One of the best winery hosts I've ever had. Make sure to make a reservation, though they will still accommodate walk-ins (as they did while we are there). This is a do not miss winery in Napa!!

Theodore is a great host and the experience is complete. One of the few places in the are that still give a full complimentary visit like the old times.

It was my birthday so my husband threw me a surprise gateway in Napa on Sunday. He had previously booked a 12pm at Arroyo Vineyards in Calistoga. The drive through the different vineyards was beautiful. We parked in Calistoga downtown and walked to Vincent Arroyo Vineyards which was a lovely 30min walk. The turn to the Arroyo Vineyards was beautiful with long tall trees and the grape vines all over the place. It was lovely to see they had olive trees along with the grape vines. Our tasting guide for the day was Dave. He was such a warm soul and very knowledgeable about wine making and told us countless stories and tricks which were wonderful. He has started as a wine taster since 10 years old and travelled abroad at 14 to do proper wine tasting. Dave is hands on guy and you could tell how passionate he was about the wine making. The wine tasting itself was complimentary which was nice. While we were trying and sipping generous amounts of 8 different wines, Dave gave us a little tour around the property along with its history. The experience was very personal and very interactive which was nice. We ended up staying for 1.5 hours and the time just flew. We ended up buying their white wine which was so lovely and smooth but didn't pick up any of the reds actually. Wine definitely tastes better if you have some cheese with it to understand how it tastes with food so we weren't sure but our friends loved the petite shiraz which they picked up. Apart from the wine, we loved and bought their estate olive oil (true taste of green olives, just like olive oil in Italy) and their balsamic reduction. Really amazing, must buy the olive oil. Highly recommend this experience.

Felicia Axtell

Great wine tasting experience! We got a small tour of their facility and learned a lot about the wines. Make an appointment before you go!

Diane Nesman

Apparently, it's rated the #1 winery by Travel and Leisure Magazine and now that we have been, we agree. JUST GO. Why? #1 it's FREE and we tasted like 9 wines, # 2 the wine is actually as good or better than the $100 + wines we had else where and #3 they are so kind, knowledgable and helpful you get to get your hands dirty there rather than watching from afar with a group. If you want snotty people who offer over priced wines, then for sure go elsewhere. Best value for money around. Call to schedule a tour as it's on the hour.

Great wines and staff, i first went here 18 years ago and always tell people to check out this lesser known off the beaten path winery, especially if you like dogs.

Allison Cunningham

What a hidden gem! Absolutely loved our time here. Unlike other wineries, we never felt rushed. Our guide took a lot of time with us, walking us through the property and talked us through 8 wines. It's super casual and relaxed and the prices can't be beat. Loved meeting Rosie, the black lab!

Jessica Coleman

Very unique winery. Must visit when going to Napa. They took us without an appointment to do free tastings and a short tour. Family owned and the experience was so friendly and personal. Jim was our guide and he got to know us personally and recommended nearby hiking, other wineries to visit, and passed on a good deal of knowledge about the wine!

Danielle Lordello Barlow

Amazing winery!

We showed up without an appointment, but luckily due to inclement weather, they let us hang out and taste some wine. The gentlemen that were there, were very nice people. Our wine expert took us on a nice little tour, gave us a short history lesson about the vineyard and helped us understand the regions and types of wine. The wine itself was also very good. I really enjoyed the tempranillo and the cab, and the full bodied blend was wonderful. I'm very happy that I was able to experience this winery and would definitely recommend it to others.

Such a great experience! Very down to earth and friendly staff. I would recommend to all my friends. Must stop kind of place for any Canadians in the region ;)

Adrian Sanchez

A hidden gem in Napa, although you'd think you're in Sonoma. Great wines, very down to earth and super friendly and helpful staff. I like how low key this place is and how they make you feel part of Vincent Arroyo's family. Can't get enough of seeing those cute dogs, including Bodega. Try out Bodega wine too.

Brian Long

Brian Meers

Great tasting and tour with Teddy. Very knowledgeable about all the wines as well as their origins. Definitely plan to return if we are in the area again.

Kyle Callender

Vincent Arroyo is an amazing winery with a wonderful staff and unpretentious atmosphere. I've been drinking their wines for 8+ years and they are always consistently delicious.

Joseph Salinas

Nice experience. Lots of wines to taste and no tasting fees. Would recommend!

Tony Gentilcore

Five stars are not enough!! Vincent Arroyo has been my favorite wine country experience for years. You simply won't find a friendlier vineyard.

Devin Anderson

Greg Bender

A small winery with great staff. We tried almost everything they had but I can tell you that it doesn't come close to the best Napa or even Calistoga has to offer. Their prices are reasonable but many of the wines we had were far lighter and less impressive than others and not what I was expecting based on the reviews. It also appeared that Vince could have cared less if we were there or not (we were the only ones there) as when we asked him a few questions about his dogs, he just brushed us off and walked away. If it wasn't for the staff, I would have rated it much less.

sara elkins

If you are on the fence about visiting this winery...please go! The wines are all yummy, the staff is knowledgeable and professional and everyone and I mean everyone is there to have a great time! Jim was our host and he was amazing! He greeted me by name and was just super charming and hilarious. Our entire tour and tasting, about an hour and a half, it felt like Jim was an old friend who kept serving me some bomb diggity wine. Vincent Arroyo was voted number one by Travel and Leisure Magazine and I can see why. Where else can you have amazing wine, great company and play fetch with the dog who has wine named after her?

Diane Smith

Teddy was a great host, very personable! Wines are 4 out of 5.

Charles Ralls

wonderful wine

Brian Kleinke

Great place to try some good wines!

Remarkable winery that gave us an unforgettable experience. I really can't say enough about this place, their somms and their wine. We booked an appointment same day, showed up slightly early and still received amazing service. We tried a ton of different wines, from different years and even got to do a barrel tasting. We also went to the vines and olive trees outside to hear about the way they've grown them for years and learned some amazing facts. We left with a couple of bottles of petite syrah and a membership because we loved it so much. They didn't charge us for the tasting and put out cheese, crackers and oils for us to snack on. Plus they have a tight nit family that loves dogs with lots of photos or fun. These guys are the best!

Joseph Peters-Mathews

My husband and I went here with two members who keep a stock of Arroyo wine in their house in Texas, and we were not disappointed. Operating by appointment, the friendly staff kept the tasting room at a good volume by circulating people tasting out of the room to see the bins, de-stemming machines, and other pieces of production. During this mini-tour, we got a small how-to of the wine-making process, and we left with three bottles, all remarkably priced for how good they are: Tempranillo, petit sirah, and the port. Definitely recommend not just tasting here, but also buying.

Taylor Maun

Rick was the man! Gave us such an amazing experience, got to ask tons of questions, private tour of the vinyard and the barrels. By far our favorite winery in Calistoga. Down to earth, friendly, and great wine. Will come here every time we are in the area!

Daniela Ritz

I can't even begin to describe how much we love this winery. It's like a hidden gem and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. It has become our new favorite place to go. Last time we were there, they showed us around and took all the time to answers any questions we had. The wine is fantastic and their balsamic vinegar is over the moon!!! We will definitely be back!!

Fun place, beautiful location, good wines. Attended a barrel tasting event and I think they have some very good ones coming up.

Trato excepcional. Vinos diferentes que solo se venden en la bodega. El porto es bastante bueno en comparación con lo que hay en Napa

U. Caveman Lawyer

It is one of our favorites. The staff is friendly, patient, and relaxed. The petite sirahs are all great, but the new rattlesnake cab was amazing. Come visit and enjoy a piece of the way wines should be enjoyed by one of the pioneers of the area.
