Fristly, I had waited for the food for almost 2 hours. Secondly, the bread will break your teeth. The flavors are good and meat is cooked well as per the preference. The year in the menu is misleading, 1874. NO!!! The restaurant was only open for last ~10 years. The waitress confirmed it. The experience of the customer could be improved. Constant flies running around my nose, hairs and over the food.

Absolutely one of the best places to eat in St Helena. For dinner be sure to book in advance and if you want coffee or a snack during the day they have a really sweet outdoor garden cafe. Enjoy your coffee under the trees - they have heaters for cooler days - or stroll through the vegetable garden with your drinks. Friendly staff too.

Another great meal in Napa. Farmstead served a fried chicken sandwich at lunch the day we were there and it was fantastic. Light, juicy, and crispy. Served with house made chips. Some in our group got the pulled pork sandwich. They said it was great. We also had some of their cole slaw which had apple in it for a very refreshing bite. Great setting and great service.

Great ambiance inside and out. Somewhat pretentious vibe, but food and experience are worth it. Prices are reasonable given the area. We showed up one day during lunch rush without a reservation and found we had a 2-hour wait, so we made a reservation for another day post-lunch rush; the place was less hectic. If you want to have a nice lunch/dinner, celebrating a special occasion/want to treat yourself, then this is a good place for it.

What’s the buzz about? $40 foie gras burger was ok, except for the price...$11 squash soup had some sort of gelatin In it and store bought stuffing croutons, carmelized beet/goat cheese salad was heavy on dry crumbling chunks of beets (overcooked)?) and light on goat cheese and soggy lettuce. But the place was packed, if that’s what you like.

My friends took me to Farmstead as the last stop before heading home from out Napa trip. I was pleasantly surprised at this incredible place. The food was delicious and it makes sense since they pretty much grow everything they use in their dishes. My friends and I enjoyed our meals and walked around the area and enjoyed the beautiful plants and garden they have. What an incredible, efficient and healthy place. It was such a vibe. Definitely, and I mean definitely make this a part of your trip.

Stopped on for lunch which was great. We then decided to do a wine and Olive oil tasting which we are so glad we did. The wines were very good and so were the oils. But what made our experience one to remember was our bartender Collin. She was so friendly and knowledge not only on the wine she was selling but wine in General. I would defeintly go back and would recommend stopping here to friends.

Top notch restaurant! Great service & most of all, great food with fresh from the farm ingredients...a true farm-to-table experience. I had the wild caught petrale sole over black rice and it was full of flavor. The mac & cheese for the kids was home made style from scratch. Oh, and you have to try their mouth watering biscuits. The restaurant had a warm ambiance to it perfect for family or friends small gathering occasion. Outdoor dining is also available and perfect during the spring & summer months. Don't pass up this restaurant anytime you're planning to visit St. Helena. I would advise to make reservations about a week in advance.

We had our wedding reception at Farmstead in the middle of August. They worked with us to find the date we wanted, customized the length of time and type of service we were looking for, and they did an incredible job communicating with us regarding every question we had leading up to the event. We had a 72 person dinner in the barn room 6-9, including a cocktail session, passed appetizers, seated dinner, and cake cutting. The service was warm, welcoming and impeccable; the food was flawless and the atmosphere was perfect. Thank you Rebecca, Marley and team for helping us create the exact wedding we wanted, and an evening we'll never forget.

Farmstead was the perfect lunch in Napa. Food was absolutely delicious, it was beautiful and peaceful and service was attentive but not annoying. It also didn't take an enormous amount of time so we could get right back to our wine tour! Highly recommend and definitely book a reservation. The service here was truly great! Starters: tartare and meatballs. The appetizers were average but at least very unique in flavor. The entrees were petrale sole and wood grilled chicken, which were both exceptional! We also had dessert: chocolate creme pie and pomegranate lemonade sorbet. Personally I thought the creme pie was too rich and not enjoyable to finish on my own or even share. The sorbet was nice. Overall I think the service and entrees were the standouts of this restaurant. To me this is most important, thus the 5 stars

My husband and I had dinner here for our 28th anniversary on April 12th. I was told to make a reservation because the restaurant is very popular and gets busy. I mentioned to the hostess when I called that it was our anniversary and asked if I could request a nice table for my husband and I. Our table was outside on the patio and it was perfect!! I got a little cold, so our waiter moved the heater closer to our table and I was fine. The manager came out with two glasses of champagne and said Happy Anniversary and said it was compliments of Farmstead. Our waiter was awesome, our food was absolutely the Best food we have ever had. The service was outstanding and I don't think we've ever had a more pleasant experience anywhere. We were so pleased with everything at Farmstead and we are so glad that we had dinner here. We will gladly spread the word about this wonderful restaurant and we hope to come back some day and visit. Thank you Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch!

Let me start by saying it's Napa. This place got awesome Yelp reviews, so my friend and I thought it would be a good choice. After over an hour we finally got seated and I have to say it wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either. I did just have a salad, so maybe that skews things a bit, but I've had better elsewhere. However my friend did other the cheddar biscuits and those were good, but not good enough to raise my review.

EASILY one of my all time favorite restaurants! My family and I have been going here for the past decade and have always had the best time. Great staff, fantastic food and cozy vibes. They're getting pretty popular nowadays so make sure you make reservations about a week in advance if you want to make sure you get it. Their Chef's Table experience is also a great way to treat yourself to a good time in the Napa Valley.

Service was excellent, but my wife asked for a virgin drink and received a lemonade that was more expensive than my beer, which I found odd. Otherwise great atmosphere and would recommend.

Amazing food and very cool atmosphere. Farm to table has become very popular and Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch has done it right. Alongside their restaurant they have a retail store next door that sells their own wine and olive oil. I highly recommend the artichoke appetizer and the burger! Also, make sure you get a reservation as they get very busy at lunch time.

With a reservation we had to wait while people arriving after us were immediately seated. Waiting along time before the waitress even acknowledged us and zipped off to do something else. After a bit she came back and took our orders, our entrees showed up and we had to ask about the starters (appetizer) which finally showed up at the table. The bill showed up we paid, but the amount on the credit card slip was $11 over the bill. I guess they have special math there. The place was really nice and the food was good, but the service this time was really bad. I truly hate it when someone comes by and asks “how’s the food” when you just taken a bite. This happened 3 times. Anyway I hardly any reviews, but what should have been a 5 star review was ripped down to a 2 for bad service. It was way better the last time I was there.

The farm gardens, the amazing view, in door and out door seating is very conducive to conversations with friends and family. And oh the food and service... Spectacular. We did the chef's table and all of it was from the local gardens located on the property and on the nearby farms. The food selections were excellent and we met some new folks from other parts of the country. Our family had an excellent experience overall and were very impressed. The portion size was a bit small but it was on par for what we would expect from a 5 course meal. They never hesitated to refill our glasses of wine and the food was amazing.

This is a unique place. Never dawned on us that we would need reservations for lunch at 2 pm on a weekday in May. But we found two places at the bar and watched the hardest working bartender I have seen. I would describe it as simple food done very well in a farm house background - foie burger and grass fed beef chili, with a great selection of what else - interesting California wines by the glass. A busy place with a widely varied clientele.

My wife and I came here for lunch on a Monday, and were seated within 5-10 min with our reservation. This was our 2nd visit to Farmstead and we plan on making this one of our regular spots whenever we're back in the area. This restaurant has a great vibe, and the service/ staff was very friendly and helpful. No issues at all from that perspective. For starters, we ordered the Farmstead Charcuterie Board, Grass-Fed Beef Chili, and the Cheddar Biscuits. Everything tasted great, although I felt the charcuterie board could have included more meats/bread for the money, but nevertheless it tasted good. Also, as good as the Cheddar Biscuits are, they really filled us up as a starter, so something to keep in mind. For our entrees, I ordered the Grass-Fed Chesseburger and my wife got the Andouille Sausage, and we were both very happy with our food. Overall, great food and service. 5 stars.

This was a beautiful restaurant, with bright, open space. Beyond this, there isn’t much good to say about it. Without it I would have given 1 Star. We ordered: beef tartare, pork rillette, some warm savory scone(?) that our friends ordered, kale salad, fish, ribs (they’re supposed to be known for these but they were not good. Sauce was just sweet and one-dimensional). Cheeseburgers came with cold, shredded cheese. Yep. Not melted. See pictures. Who does this?! Bun was soggy. We couldn’t finish these. The crispy potatoes that came with the burger were either not crispy, or completely “crispy” aka dry from outside to inside. The coleslaw that came with the ribs had big pieces of cabbage from the very root part of the cabbage that we discard when we cook. Is this money saving gone too far? I did try to chew it, being a good eater. I failed. Many of the above-mentioned things will never be served by a semi-professional chef that takes pride in his/her food. I took pictures of everything. You can see for yourself. The waiter placed our knives on our plates when we still had some apps left, and one of them totally got into the food on the plate. Oh and the waitress elbowed me when she was walking by. She offered an apology.

Miserable experience! I felt like I was feeding the flies! We visited Farmstead on 7/29 late afternoon and it was extremely hot inside the restaurant. The ceiling fans were not turned on and they are spraying mist only on the outside entrance area. Worse of all, there were a ton of flies flying around in the dining area and they like to stick on to people which is a miserable feeling! I have been to this restaurant many times before and there were never this many flies here in the dining area! It felt nasty and unsanitary at the same time! I could tell that the staff were miserable because it was hot but no one is doing anything about the flies. (get some fans going? light some fly incense? use an electric fly killer?) I usually have an amazing experience here but this was by far one of the worst, dirtiest, and hottest visit ever. I was entirely embarrassed because I had brought some new friends over to try this place and their first experience was totally trashed as well.

Very nice flavors. We started with cheese platter including toasted spiced almonds and apple slices, the calamari, and asparagus. All delicious. The lamb was a winner in our dinner group with the vegetables and tender delicate flavored lamb. The BBQ pork was delicious. We topped off dinner with homemade strawberry icecream. Yummy!

Wow a fabulous place to stop for lunch. Was beautiful outside and sat in the covered patio. Cheddar biscuits were the bomb! Add a honey butter and melt. I had a yummy pulled BBQ pork sandwich. My wife had the burrata and loved it. Place was clean and staff was on top of things.

Appetizers were decent, entrees weren’t as good. Sadly most people in our 7 person table couldn’t eat our meal because they had so many flies. It made the place feel unclean and gross. There were at least 5 flies at our table as we were sat down and at that moment I knew our party wouldn’t be back and would have a bad experience. When I brought it up to the manager she mentioned that she was aware of the “fruit fly” problem. But they were flies. Not fruit flies. Sadly will not be back.

Farmstead is a wonderful spot that can cater to your culinary curiosity from seven in the morning onwards, seven days a week. The site is a picturesque paragon of rustic ambience that offers comfort and class while demonstrating sound land management principles. The food is great too, with pastries and coffee available in the morning at a small stand under a giant blue spruce, and sophisticated and well-thought out dishes for lunch and dinner that incorporate ingredients from the neatly kept garden at the front of the property. This is a must visit spot on any Napa trip, and is a necessity for coffee drinkers staying in St. Helena.

This is the 4th time we've came here for dinner. Sitting outside on the patio was pleasant with a nice breeze for a relaxing and quiet experience. The server was on her game with an abundant of energy and fast service too. It was fried chicken night so we've had 2 orders of that, and with another fish entree. I was a bit disappointed with the chicken as it was a bit too dried and salty for me. Of course the cheddar biscuit was always an excellent intro to this place. Overall a great choice dining outpost with reasonable prices in Napa valley.

Perfect on every level!! The waitress was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the vineyard & local area. She was competent, fast & engaging. Every dish Chef Aaron (sp?) Prepared was interesting, attractive, and most importantly, delicious (especially the sablefish, aka, black cod that was flame-seared with a torch). An overall excellent dining experience.
