You will see the opinions of people who bought the services and products of Superstition Meadery (Winery) in Arizona.
Now the firm gets a rating of 4.7 out of 5 and that score is based on 180 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average score it has is almost the best one, and it's founded on a very large number of opinions, so we can say that the rating is very reliable. If many people have bothered to give their score when they've done well with the business, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to put feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

Very nice! The Mead is amazing! Haven't tried the food though. Very comfortable establishment. Great for a girls night! I always want to dress up when going here!
Wonderful staff! Our first time wine tasting. Michael was so helpful in explaining things to us and made our experience one to remember. Highly recommend!! Great wine and hard ciders.
As someone who hasn't tried mead before, I really enjoyed it. Definitely an experience I would recommend. Wine drinkers may be pleasantly surprised by the breadth of flavor and variety on offer. And non wine drinkers may also find something for their palette. Staff was friendly and helpful!
This place is very cool, very chill and the beverages are like nothing you've ever had. Try the sampler to get a taste of what you like.
Absolutely loved this place and consider it Prescott's hidden gem. Ordered the full flight of all the mead options along with two ciders. Every one of the meads had a completely different flavor, but delicious in their own way. Oddly enough, I ended up falling in love with their Pillars of Creation cider, and was disappointed they aren't sold in bottles. I very highly suggest checking it out.
Never was a fan of Mead but this is awesome! Anthony the bartender awesome! I'll be back, deafantly!!
Awesome staff and some of the best mead in the world. Super reasonable prices for the quality when you compare to B Nektar and other world class meaderies.
My wife and I patronize Superstition Meadery each time we visit Prescott. The first time was by pure accident when we saw their sign on the sidewalk of Gurley Street. I love mead and couldn't believe Prescott had a meadery of their own. It was early afternoon so when we descended the stairs into the bar it was dead with only a lone bartender manning the place. The overall atmosphere is dim and quaint and would make an excellent location for a few romantic drinks to start or end a date night. We sat at the bar and were given a history of the meadery and a rundown of what they offered. We ordered a flight and sampled what they had to offer and found most of them fantastic. We ended up loving the Marion Mead, purchased a bottle and vowed to return the next time we visited. Our next visit was on a Saturday evening and the bar was relatively busy with a decent number of the tables filled and a DJ playing music giving it a much more active and entertaining atmosphere. We had a few glasses of mead and enjoyed ourselves immensely again. We will undoubtedly return each time we visit town.
I randomly strolled in here checking out some of the shops around the square and was blown away. I never tried mead before and it was a tasty and unique experience. I'll be back with friends to share the experience!
Awesome place. Mead has so many profiles. Basement experience, well lit, friendly staff, great atmosphere and music.
Forgot our appetizer..disappeared so we never had opportunity to remind server...never checked to see if we liked the sampler cider/mead..not high on list to return...
One of the best relax atmospheres in Prescott!
Amazing flavors. Makes for a fun afternoon to try a flight. Food is delicious. Put this on your Prescott "to do" list. The bar itself has a really cool vibe
Very nice mead flight. Worth the stop in downtown Prescott alone. Very cozy space below street level. The meadery kitchen and story are fascinating. Zero gluten in any of their craft beverages. Also offer tasty bites with gluten free options. Worth a stop.
The staff was knowledgeable and the drinks were delicious!!!
Wonderful basement tasting bar. Wood accents and incandescent lights... makes the experience very enjoyable. The service was pleasant and friendly... worth a stop in if you are in Prescott.
Great variety of outstanding mead. Would love to see this place expand to CA. Food was good, and ambiance is fitting as it's located in a basement.
Great atmosphere, mellow music, tasty drinks. We ended up tasting sixteen and buying three bottles of mead! Pricey, but a delightful experience.
We stop at Superstition everytime that we are in Prescott (several times a year). We have introduced enough friends and family to Superstition that we always end up purchasing bottles for ourselves and friends and family when we go. We love the vibe in the tasting room and our two young children are always comfortable (2 root beers, please?!). My husband is a total beer guy (none for me, thanks) but we both love our mead! Keep being awesome and we will see you again in a few months!
Very good tasting wine, nice ambiance, friendly workers.
The ambiance is fantastic from the get-go and the service was prompt and knowledgeable. Right away, someone was helping us. The list of meads you can choose from is expansive - I was blown away. We also ordered an olive oil and bread plate and the bread was soft, the olive oil generous. When they brought our flight, they also brought two waters too. We ended up buying 2 bottles to take home with us too! I recommend the Strawberry Rhubarb or Hawaiian Honeymoon :)
This is a must stop if in Prescott. Great atmosphere and a very unique experience tasting their flight of different meads and ciders.
Great drink and atmosphere!!!!!!
This is our favorite place to hang in Prescott. Very intimate setting, unique drinks and friendly staff. Like a place you'd find hidden away in a super hip big city neighborhood ! Highly recommended !
Sign says it's a winery but it's not. This is mead and it's like drinking port wine. We got a flight with cheese plate and the mead was so sweet we couldn't finish it. Cheese plate was a joke; some cubed pieces of cheese, a few crackers and about 10 grapes.
Had a bad experience with a staff member, but the owner has been wonderfully understanding and I expect the atmosphere of the store will greatly improve in the future.
Prescott's premier location, bring your visiting guests and enjoy world famous alcoholic efforts!
Excellent service and the best mead you'll ever have!
Had the mead tasting board, a lot of fun trying each one and discussing it’s merits. The manager tells an interesting mead history too.
We brought 3 kids and they were very accommodating. The mead was crazy good and the cider was incredible if you are within 300 miles of this place you should be on the road!
We tried 12 different meads and the staff was so friendly! The different tastes were WONDERFUL! What a great place! Never heard of meads before. Reasonable too to try all these.
Lovely, relaxing place. Great blueberry cider and war mead. We will go back.
Our first time in Prescott and after a beautiful but long hike we stopped in at the Meadery. A cool dark bar with very comfortable chairs was exactly what we needed and the flight of meads plus a couple of ciders was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better way to recover and with a few tapas in our bellies we were ready to venture out once again. We'll be back next time we're in the area.
Mike took great care of us. I love this place, such a comfortable tranquil underground oasis. The only real mead I've had west of Scotland. Ragnarok is by far the best. Highly recommended.
Amazing mead. Food is great too. Service is awesome. If you visit Prescott you MUST visit the meadery. Ask for Sarah. She is awesome.
The best mead ever!!!!!
Wonderful atmosphere, helpful staff, and excellent Mead! I had the basic flight (12 meads for $24, super cheap for the quality), my wife had a small custom flight, and we shared a basket of bread with really good olive oil. Some of them were a bit weird like a peanut butter and jelly mead, but none of them were bad. A fantastic experience!
Wonderful Mead, great people and good appetizers. Did I say great Mead!
Fantastic mead, atmosphere and staff.
I have made some of my own meads so to have the chance to be at a meadery was special in and of itself. The mead was all great and the bartenders were all friendly and gave information about various options that they have. I took a bottle home and plan to come back for sure.
I bought a bottle of mead and a sniffer glass, they gave me the sack with the mead in it but not the glass. I told them about it and they charged me $128 for the mead and I never received the glass.
Fun little place to try lots of great meads. I've never had a bad choice when it comes to their selection. Staff is great and very knowledgeable!
Great atmosphere, awesome service and delicious meals.
A fantastic selection of handcrafted meads and ciders!
Can't say or shouldn't say much about this place... best thing to ever touch my tongue. I'm close to saying that this permanently substitutes wine for me. Little more, for alot more taste! Hidden in spiced traveler in Precott, Az, walk down the stairs and change your world. Change your trip to prescott. And change your LIFE.
Stop here and you will be surprised and glad you did. My wife and I tried the 12 flight and prosciutto dates and cheese plate...all good, some great. Learned a lot and had a great time.
Fantastic little place with a great atmosphere and an amazing and ever-changing selection of mead to choose from. Only bad thing is there's not enough room for large groups!
I'm surprised I hadn't submitted a review for them already! This is our favorite meadery. The quality and flavor profiles of their meads are unmatched by all the other meaderies I have tried. They absolutely deserve every award they get!
Found this place on a last-minute decision to visit Prescott, and we were pleasantly surprised by the place. The set-up - downstairs from a shop and art gallery/boutique - offers a relaxing vibe. I'm not really a wine drinker, but I enjoyed sampling the gamut of meads that were offered, and was really quite amazed at the range of flavors and aromas of the mead. After our return home, we even bought gifts for friends and family from the website.
Who knew you could make wine from honey? apparently a lot of people but I didn't and I was pleasantly surprised. We had a flight of selected wines along with cheese and crackers. everything tasted amazing and the atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. This is a place you'll want to visit over and over again.
Great date place, fun to try the various meads. Has good snacks and games. Also often has love music. One of my favorite places in Prescott to relax.
Beautiful. Excellent flavors and relaxed atmosphere.
Great selection of meads, the flights give you a great idea of what it's all about, great to share with company.
I purchased one of their $92 bottles of mead, and would not recommend it to anybody. I was in store, and had purchased a $32 of mead during a previous visit. The $92 of mead was selling for $5 a fluid ounce, as per normal, and it does taste good. What the store did not disclose is that you would spend $92 for the high priced bottle, but it would be a smaller bottle. A regular bottle goes for $32. This was not listed on their menu, this was not stated by the waiter who served us at our table, and the manager we spoke to was very rude we called to explain how this is mathematically a rip off. Very disappointing.
Great atmosphere and an awesome local business.
Great for a date night Killer spot
Great setup. Good mood lighting. Everything is delicious! Get the charcuterie plate and sample all the meads. So worth it.
First time at the meadery, have loved their mead bought from the store. Was nice to have a whole flight and try flavors not available in bottle.
Great atmosphere! Very knowledgeable staff. Loved the cider!
Visiting from Virginia. I had never tasted Mead and what a treat this was. I brought a bottle home with me and will enjoy it here. The Meadery is delightful, food was great, staff were wonderful. Thanks and Happy New Year.
The best wine pairing service and hospitality we've come across in Arizona by far!!!! #kudos
Everything was incredible, and I'm pretty sure the barrel aged Ragnarok can cure cancer. But probably not. Don't quote me, I'm not a doctor.
Extremely classy Meadery and the atmosphere is unlike anything I have ever experienced. A MUST STOP! Bartenders are exceptionally knowledgeable about this product. I will be a customer for life!
Very good Meade. I don't know about the rest.
The Meads range from traditional with Local favors to inventive style with white chocolate. The staff take the time to let you know how the mead is made.
Excellent team! It was a pleasure.
Didn't realize I was in an Airport Bar.
Can't say enough good things about the staff. They are beyond amazing and nice. We stopped in with our 4 year old and they accommodated her with snacks and was just so friendly. We will be back!
The bartenders are super nice and even though you never tried mead before, you’ll love it. They do an awesome tasting plate.
We had the pleasure of Chelsea taking care of us and it was like we were family. She took great care of us and I'm sure she will do the same for you and your friends.
Rocks and crystals galore.
I enjoy meads, but have had a hard time finding a producer that matched up with one I home brewed with friends years ago. Superstition is absolutely fantastic, and you should come and true the full flight to get an idea of the range of what is possible.
Stopped in 2 years ago while visiting the beautiful city of Prescott for work. I was supposed to be there for 4 months but instead I was there only 1 before I got promoted down to Phoenix. While I was in Prescott I decided to get acquainted with the city one day and stumbled across Superstition Meadery in the basement of a mercantile downtown. Little did I know I had stumbled upon one of the best meaderies in the world, according to every objective source on the internet, and boy do they deserve that honor. I have enjoyed other meads since, but Superstition ruins you for other meads. It's like drinking Bud Light after enjoying a O'Dell 90 Shilling. It just doesn't stack up. That's the only negative I have here. You'll be ruined for other mead. Other than that, this place is amazing. Get a flight. Get a bottle of your favorite to take home. For the quality of the product, buying world-class mead is exponentially cheaper than buying world-class wine. You won't regret it.
Can’t go wrong with one of the top 5 on planet earth!
Amazing place!! Definitely must do and come back
Fun place, a must try if you are visiting Prescott
Best meade you can get anywhere hands down. They have something for everyone and the service is friendly as well. Also a great atmosphere. Couldn't ask for more.
This place was fantastic. I had never had mead before and it turns out I'm a big fan. I tasted every mead on the menu, and enjoyed every one. Food menu is small, but the panini I had was excellent. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly and fun. If you're in Prescott definitely check them out.
Their mead is great, but the service is extremely lacking. Do not purchase one of their high price bottles of mead, as the testers are much more cost effective. Their $92 bottles of mead are only 500 ml, however, you'll pay $5 per fluid ounce at their location. I was under the assumption that their bottles of high priced mead were 750 ml, which was the case with all their $20 bottles, but apparently spending that much money doesn't warrant similar quantity. They did not specify this on their menu, we ordered the bottle at our table, and we feel ripped off at this point. Their manager was very rude when we contacted him. Very disappointed, and repulsed by the mathematically strange scheme we became a part of.
We love this place. Great atmosphere with an amazing selection or just sit back and enjoy a tray af samplers.
Awesome mead and cider. Super nice folks as well.
Awesome mead, awesome people
Simply the most amazing variety of deliciousness! Casual but upscale, and the service is always phenomenal.
Love this place.
Awesome bar for easily the best meadery in the world. Great selection of taps and bottles. Lots of bottles for sale including the White series. Even had a menu of rare meads for sale (by the bottle). Didn't try the food but it looked yummy. Great and knowledgeable staff. Will come back!
Stumbled on this place while walking around downtown Prescott - what a gem! The ambiance is really laid back and comfortable and I really appreciate you can get 1oz pours so you can try a lot of different kinds without spending a ton of money or getting too intoxicated. If you're nearby don't miss a chance to hang out here!
I've been hooked on the meads produced by Superstition for some time; I was unable to resist my curiosity once I discovered they made a variety bearing my own name, right down to the less-common spelling of it. I decided that if my name was on the bottle, it was a sign from the Gods - and so it most definitely was! After spending the last year trying every variety my favorite local pub brought in -and taking several bottles of my namesake home with me - I made a visit to their tasting room a top priority of my visit to Prescott. As always, my expectations were exceeded! Dozens more varieties than are available via any merchant -and the creativity at play in dreaming up various flavor profiles is astounding! I'll be back as often as I can-and will have to order directly in the meantime! If I'd sampled everything I'd wanted to, I wouldn't have been able to walk out! Can't say enough about this place!
Very kind and pleasant staff serving the best Mead I have ever had. One may order individual samples, glasses or bottles. For those who desire, a sample flite for those who are wanting more than one choice. This is a must stop for those who enjoy Mead.
Never had mead before and wanted to give it a try. Well I'm a fan. We got the 12 flight plus 4 or 5 more. Loved the peanut butter and jelly. They have so many great flavors and ale as well. Can't go wrong with the blueberry with the ale. Walked out with 12 bottles for family and friends to share. Great staff too, friendly and very informative. Give it a go. They have food as well.
Owners were amazing and super welcoming. I had never had mead until now and didn't know there was so many complex flavors to it. The mead was spectacular and the food was delicious. I recommend ordering a flight so you can taste the different types and flavors. The atmosphere and vibe was awesome. Made Valentine's day very special! Thank you
Great place. It's a must try. Small location within another shop
Great cozy spot and, obviously, the Mead is amazing!
I have to say, all of the offerings here were of an incredible caliber- each variety had, at a minimum, a true-to-form representative which was simple and straightforward but beyond expectations for overall flavor with clean, smooth finishes- almost completely lacking in any musty fermented-ness except where the breed requires, such as the Belgian Darks, which were amazing with both berries and cacao. Then there were the ever-rotating experimentals, with incredibly vivid noses and true to life flavor. I have had my share of flavored beers, wines, mead etc. but mostly I tend to just say, “yeah, kind of.” But here, the adjuncts were all pure from the bouquet to the finish- if it was called Ginger Voodoo, it was like smelling a living Jamaican ginger blossom, if it was called Tahitian Honeymoon, it was like drinking the entire idea of Tahiti and the South Pacific. I also loved their use of hops- strictly bouquets that amplified the honey aromas without adding any bitterness that could have outweighed the sweet tones. The people that make all of these have got to be regarded as celebrities in the fermentation world. Literally everything we sampled was GREAT. Even after the 11th time you are surprised by the quality you are still surprised by the 12th.
An amazing selection of Meade with great service. The salmon bruschetta and make sure you use the vinegar on the plate!!! After a few visits this place is a regular must visit!
Impressive! Mead for days...
To sweet 4 me, it wasn't the easiest place to find 4 out us snowbirds
Came to share a glass of mead and the cheese plate. Left with a bottle.
The atmosphere is great and the decor is really well done. The live edge wood bar is stunning. The bartenders were all extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. They gave us generous pours and let us try a couple more flavors as well! Overall a fun experience in a cozy, dark, and intimate space. Good for friends or a romantic date.
The staff are excellent. So friendly and knowledgeable, they really take the place to the next level. The 1oz pours are the perfect size for being able to try all of the interesting varieties without overwhelming you. I highly encourage trying the white series flight to appreciate how amazing mead can be.
Not the greatest experience. Staff was rude and inattentive. The new “so called manager” only checked on us once. Aka he was our waiter/ checked in on us. He is arrogant and has a attitude. Did not make us feel welcome. Miss the old staff! Need to be more professional. Not happy won’t be back and I used to be a regular. Anyways heres the story Had to go up to bar to get water and order cheese tray. Almost 45 minutes later no cheese tray. Talked to girl up front said it should have been delivered to us it was not. Said she would fix it waited another 20 minutes no cheese tray so we up and left. In the end turned the cheese tray on us and said oh I thought you didn’t want it!! When actually I told her I did!!! Bluntly to her face. Management please check cameras! Miss the old staff! Miss you James! James was the best! He was professional and on the ball.
The hill Billy music guest band was not a good fit. Definitely didn't enjoy and ended up making us leave. Apparently not their normal music fair. Quaint spot, great mead! Would go back for sure
I DIDNT EVEN DRINK. I JUST WALKED IN & FELT THE ATMOSPHERE YOU HAVE TO FEEL IT
Excellent atmosphere with knowledgeable employees who enjoy their job!
The place to grab a drink in Prescott. The mead flights provide plenty of options and pair well with the cheese/meat plates. Great atmosphere and staff.
Love this place! The fact that the they regularly change their offerings/menu makes for a new experience every time you go.
I got the flight of 12 and shared it with my brother. We got to taste a wide selection of flavors and we're blown away by the drinks. Our server, Kai, was attentive without being pushy, and we walked out with 2 bottles and plans to return!
We’ve been here twice....both times we had a great time....the selection of Meade goes “on and on” (who knew?) along with a nice food selection....service from Anthony was great ...
Simply amazing. Our host Matt literally made our experience, and it was an awesome start to our bachelor party evening.
Incredible meads and ciders. Nice ambience, pleasant staff, knowledgeable. It was busy on this visit and they we're short chairs, some people left so they lost money which is unfortunate as both sides miss out. The selections keep expanding every time I come.
Great atmosphere, good prices, great mead, hard to find, location is in basement of a market
This spot is AWESOME. It has great atmosphere with funky spots to sit and enjoy one of their many MEADES and tapas. It is downstairs, so it's dimly lit, with great music playing (live on Fri and Sat nights!) Super great date night spot. I highly recommend you check out this little gem right downtown.
A space for sipping, not gulping. The best mead I have found anywhere in the three years since I discovered Superstition and mead. This cool nook is definitely worth your time! Drop by and order the flight to get the most bang for your buck - especially if you're new to mead. With multiple awards, including Arizona's top small business of 2019, Superstition can't disappoint. Can't wait for their tasting room to open in Phoenix!
Sad that I have to change my 5 star review from a few years ago to three stars. When I was there 2 years ago this place was great, they were busy but the staff was friendly and I had a good time. Recently I went and even though there was aboutv4 staff and the place was less than half full the service was bad and I had to several times as about an appitizer we had ordered with our flight to try the new flavors. When I tried to get the bill no one came up to our table or even looked over we had even tried getting more water with no success.
My husband and I visit Superstition Meadery every years on our birthdays. We love this place.
Nice atmosphere, great mead, and friendly staff. They are a bit tight on space.
Had a great experience at this very cool and unique venue, with some great tasting Meads. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and thanks to our server Justin, took the time to explain their process, objectives and each blend. Since honey is a key ingredient in Mead, production is limited and prices therefore are quite high, but we highly recommend the tasting room experience. Who knows... you may find a new favorite like we did. Take the trip for the day, do some gallery hopping and shopping, then tickle your taste buds at this award winning Meadery! You won't be disappointed.
Really like the atmosphere in here! And the mead is very good!
This place is AWESOME! More than just a meadery, their first floor is full of sauces, pickled everything's, tea, coffee, salsa, pasta, and more. Definitely check it out
There is a mead for everyone! The food is quite nice as well
Despite this page saying so, they are not located in the Bashford Court, but in the Old Capital Market next door. Wonderful mead in a gorgeous, rustic environment. Great service, absolutely worth a visit.
Can't say enough about the mead. Great service too. Hard to find though. Walked out with a case and a much lighter wallet.
Very laid back friendly place. The full Mead tasting was enjoyable. I would recommend.
Expensive, but the most delicious mead I've ever had. All of them.
great staff and intimate atmosphere. This place offers a different drink and food experience. We can't wait to visit again.
Place is in an amazing location, Shai is the greatest. Try the Ragnarock!
This place is absolutely amazing. We tried the flight of all main flavors to decide on a bottle to bring home and each flavor was mind-blowing. It is definitely worth the drive from Phoenix for us to get this kind of quality.
We were wandering downtown when our son-in-law spotted the sign. "Mead?! Let's go!!" It's dark, funky downstairs with a cool pirate-ship cargo hold feel. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We had no idea what to do so, of course, got a large flight of meads and ciders. The different styles and tastes were amazing, as well as the house tapenade. (Gluten-free crackers - yay!) Duh-licious! My favorite was the War Honey but the Coffee Marionberry is a close second. If you've never tried it, you owe it to yourself. It's a Renaissance Fair in your mouth. Seriously. Go now.
Amazing mead, and the beautiful tasting boards make for a great flight presentation. The underground tasting room has a great vibe, too. Very comfortable place to be introduced to mead or to celebrate a pre-existing love for the beverage. A flight with 12 meads (preselected menu) is $24
Very yummy. I don't drink a lot but I could with this stuff. Mead is much sweeter than regular wine. Be aware that if you only enjoy dry wines this is not for you
Well informed and friendly staff! Excellent food and drink! Charming, comfortable atmosphere!
Love this place! Amazing staff and great mead!
Great place! There is a kind of mead for everyone here.
A cozy place where you can enjoy delicious meads paired with amazing food and nice music. Service is superb. Friendly bartenders that make your experience unforgettable in this "hidden" piece of heaven. L&I
Live music and mead were divine.
Amazing flavors in the Meade . Absolutely the best stuff I have had
Friendly staff and great mead!
