This company has gone beyond what was originally promised. Once they figured out the style your looking for then its home run from there. They are quick to response and very patience throughout the whole process. Peter even took some of my sample product and took picture on his mountain climb. This speaks a lot about how the company will go beyond their duty to take care of their customer. If the owner goes beyond, then think of the type of exception he has for his team. Also after almost a year later, I had some issue with my website footer. Peter replied back the next day and took care of. Am talking about almost a year later. If you want a company that will stand behind their work, then this is a company to go with. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a professional design website.

THIS is why I continue to seek their time and talents. I practice criminal defense in Whatcom and Skagit County. In 2007, I met Peter through the Whatcom Young Professionals. Even then, I was impressed with Peter's artistry,charisma and knowledge of the marketing/website industry. I "noted to self" to seek Peter out when I eventually moved forward with plans to open my solo practice. Soon enough, in 2008, that's exactly what I did. I set an appointment. Immediately, I was impressed with his office space, photography and extremely capable staff; all of whom had specialized knowledge in their particular fields. He presented a rare combination of creativity, business acumen and technological know-how. I had Peter create my website, stationary and overall marketing package/strategy. He also introduced me to blogging, and how it serves the dual purpose of educating potential clients and driving SEO. To this day, I blog on a regular basis. In 2011, I left solo practice to work for the highly prestigious Tario & Associates, P.S. as a litigation associate. I conducted an extremely busy trial schedule. Still, Peter I made it a priority to keep in touch with Peter James Creative Studio. They regularly maintained my old website and kept it relevant. Throughout the years my clients, colleagues, friends and acquaintances have said, "Alex, your website is excellent!" This year - 2015 - I returned to solo practice. And of course, I hired Peter to fully revamp my website. Admittedly, my expectations were high. Web design has evolved by leaps and bounds since 2008. I felt informed of what motivated potential clients to seek my services. By this time, I had won many jury trials, dismissed a huge amount of criminal cases on behalf of clients and established my brand of criminal defense as "aggressive, experienced & effective" representation. Consequently, I needed an attractive, interactive website with powerful imagery which showcased my brand, increased SEO, educated the public, and ultimately piqued the interests of potential clients. A tall order, no doubt. Peter James Web Design DELIVERED. Again, I was blown away. My website is the crown jewel of my marketing. The work product of Peter James Web Design Studio is nothing short of spectacular. They added sliders, footers, numerous pages, hyperlinks, new custom photography, a revamped blog-page, social media links, you name it. Again, highly impressive. Additionally, his staff has continued to work with me even after (re)launching my website. This was important. I am a perfectionist. Fortunately, so are they! Instead of saying, "Sorry, go figure it out," Peter and his staff continued to address my many concerns, resolve any lingering launch bugs/problems and even teach me a thing or two. My company contracted with PJS for a reactive website and an interactive e-book. We were comfortable with Peter's capabilities to provide the website, and received effusive affirmations that he would be able to provide the needed e-book. Working with Kalie (our photographer) was a joy, she is very customer oriented and attentive. Excellent graphic design skills as well. Beyond her, we found the process challenging. When working on the website design, there were communication difficulties with the developer, and when brought to Peter's attention we (as the customers) we told we "had to be gentle in our feedback as the developer is very sensitive". We finally ended with a website that does most of what we wanted but is still not fully reactive to mobile viewing, a critical element for our needs. After many months of work, it became apparent that the Peter was out of his depth on the technical aspects of our book project. We were strung along with promises of solutions that were ultimately never realized. Our project ran several months past the initial projected completion date, causing us to miss launch deadlines and a series of regional and national conferences. We are now significantly over budget and a year behind schedule. My biggest issue is that at no time during the process we're we told that our project was not possible or that PJS did not know how to provide our needs. I felt as though we were constantly being reassured in order to convince us to write another check. When ulitmately trying to resolve these issues, I felt as if we received excuses and indignation, but no willingness to admit any responsibility and meet us with a cost reduction. In fact we were invoiced for the time he spent researching whether he could accomplish our goals. Our experience with Peter James Studios can be summed up (with the exception of Kalie's work) from one of the final emails from Peter that read we "just need to accept the fact that we can't get what we want".

Be very Leary about promising and agreeing to things only to be told they cost significantly more. They are trying to get me to pay for time that he doesn't even spend doing something, but time it takes to update or load something, that in no way needs to be baby sited or accounted for. He pushes a button, and starts the clock. Only to be able to move on to anyother project and also charge time. Trying to deliver a Cart website that has no provisions to find a product other than using the search bar, and telling me its a Huge improvement over a cart site I have had for 7 years and selling tens of thousands of $'s on. Yet you cant even find a product on his, designed, programmed and delivered cart based website. What good if anything is a webstore if there is no way to find a product, and how is that "a huge improvement", heck I dont know. But he swears it is. GO else where and if you have multiple items and they are for different applications, product fitments, etc. For Sure do Not do Bigcommerce. Even if he does tell it its awesome. It will only cost you twice as much as the original price, just so that you have to pay someone every update to product, or to add just images, or to just update pricing. Look elsewhere.

Before I hired Peter I viewed his website and portfolio of past web projects. I contacted one of his clients and to see how their experience went. Upon hearing a positive report about Peter James studios, and after researching ecommerce web platforms I decided to hire him and his team. Big Commerce now based here in the US seams to have a real respectable product offering as well. Peter has hired a team of very capable people. Each member is very talented in their own field of expertise. He has a back side web programmer, a front side web designer, a photographer, and he’s very experienced with the Big Commerce platform. From start to finish Peter proved he had our best interest in mind. He and his team were very flexible, accommodating, and overall very good to work with. When ever I had any concerns or questions he was helpful and positive. He requires half payment up front and half upon completion which seems fair. Communication with clients regarding project details and client responsibilities is very clear up front, and made easy through his online spread sheet system. Upon completion of our project, the recorded training was as very good. He took lots of time to explain how to use and edit our product offerings through our Big Commerce – owner log in. We’ll be able to go back and reference the recording in the future. The website meets or exceeds our expectations. Peter’s web designer listened to us, did some research, and engaged the project the way any artist would and produced a fine compliment of colors, fonts, and lay out. We requested special features that required some programmer R & D to figure out, and they came through for us.

Our company has been incredibly disappointed by the overall experience and final product of Peter James Studio. We went to PJS for a new website and e-book product. After assuring us they could produce a high quality multi-reactive site and a book that carried the features we requested, the project came in three-months over-budget and lacked 3/4s of the critical items requested. The owner made excuses and shifted blame to his employees, charged us to research how to incorporate things he was unable to deliver (but had promised from the beginning), and finally sent an email telling us to "get over it" and accept the fact we couldn't have these features. He then overcharged us: We paid several thousand dollars over the estimate and were never warned of overages accrued. We were left with the impression of a truly unprofessional owner, lacking in business sense and ethics. Don't be fooled by their new gallery and fancy ads, this business owner is not to be trusted beyond supplying glitzy, over manipulated photographs. The short version of a review for Peter James Studio is that they are over priced for the marketplace, with gross misrepresentation of qualifications and severely lacking in customer service.
