I contracted Big Drop to design and develop a full bespoke social networking site with some unique features. The team met and exceeded my expectations and helped me achieve one of my most important goals. Before selecting them, I had canceled other contracts with two other design companies because they lacked both quality and commitment. I was truly disheartened but I thought I'd give it one more shot with Big Drop. After talking with the founder and discussing the project, and also talking to some of their previous clients I decided to give it one more and I'm glad I did. The team of designers, developers, and project managers work together seamlessly and the President is a phone call or an email away and was involved in the project. What you need to look for if you're a customer is not someone who will get everything right from the first time, because none of us can, but someone who will work hard with you to get it right and deliver what they promised and that's exactly what Big Drop did. Quality comes at a price, and when I consider value for money the fees were reasonable and competitive. I initially tried lowering the cost of my project by off-shoring to lower cost countries, the project went terribly. Some developers are just followers and you have to literally spell out every little thing for them. Whereas Big Drop showed initiative and made great suggestions to me - even though it meant more work for them - that ended up improving my concept. Another thing you want to look for is post launch service. The team was there after project completion to help smooth out any errors or make tweaks and that truly gives you a peace of mind. Since I was impressed with the website I decided to ask them to work on my explainer video as well. Again, they delivered a really original and unique video, with very creative sketches and story line. In summary, I was happy to show off my project to my friends and colleagues and felt proud with end product.

Big Drop’s online portfolio speaks for itself in fact it’s almost intimidating. Honestly I wondered if they will even take a small brick and mortar factory in suburban Detroit seriously. (15-20 employees) So, I called. From that very first call and through the entire process I felt like nothing less than a VIP! I could go on to write a Trilogy of praises for Big Drop, but in an effort to hold your attention I’ll finish with a few bullet points of what I feel will be most important to anyone considering web design. (not just the national brands and corporations…us, the small to mid-size local and regional businesses too) *Don’t squawk at the price! It’s probably NOT as bad as you would think based on all praise Big Drop receives online. If you have been in business for a while consider the “old school” methods of advertising and how much that cost on a monthly basis with (most often)a yearly commitment. A LOT the answer is A LOT. A lot more than the cost of having Big Drop build a site when you amortize the onetime fee over the life of your new cutting edge website. Plus your time IS money and it’s a gut wrenching amount of lost time when you have to hold your web designers hand through every step of designing your site and eventually find yourself settling for a so-so website that may cost you more than you will ever know. Check your bounce rate!! If you don’t know what that means…google it! LOL Our new Big Drop designed and programed web site launched yesterday…online inquiries began IMEDIATELY…wow! * I was unsure that they would understand my needs and thought that the distance between my business and their location may cause problems. My business is a level 10 difficult business to understand and explain. FYI there are no dummies working at Big Drop. The understood so well that I was quite literally amazed. Every time that I thought I was going to have a really hard time explaining any part of my business or what I wanted to be included on my new site or my rational for wanting it there…one meeting…mission accomplished. SMH in happy disbelief. *Regarding the designer that specifically worked on my site…I explain, when people visit my site I want them to see, modern and current (which eludes to the fact I have a young , creative and progressive staff because, I do) I want customers to see we are a full scale production factory (which eludes to the fact that we are established and have been around for a LONG time because we have been), but we are different and approachable and want our locals to “come SEE us” and even take a tour!? Big Drop design team…CRUSHED it! *Big Drop Team was 110% awesome with communication…every step of the way they were communicating and if they schedule a meeting they are there…every time! I first discussed my idea with Garry through a phone interview. We then met several times where, under no pressure to retain his firm, we discussed my idea further. After discussing the issues thoroughly, I retained Garry and joined the Big Drop family where every need was tended to, questions quickly answered, and brainstorming sessions planned. Garry owned the project as if it was his, and made the process of designing the site easy as pie. I went through numerous designs until they showed me something I loved. Mind you, these were all CUSTOM made designs, none of the template nonsense you get elsewhere. Once we had the design squared away, Garry and Co. worked to fully customize and design every page of my site. What I didn't like was quickly corrected, and where there was a problem, it was quickly addressed and rectified. You never feel pressured to do something you don't like, and you always leave strategy conferences feeling energized and excited, the feeling of which is only surpassed by the product Garry unveils. In short, this firm kicks tail, and I would retain them again in a heartbeat with any other project.
