I have had the pleasure of recently working with Gecko Designs on two separate projects both of which are unusual and require considerable creative design and programming. TheOspreyContests site is meant to receive entries for split pot contests based on osprey nesting events that are captured by a web camera above an osprey nest located on our ranch. The site must be user friendly, dynamic relative to contests, dates, and pot size, generate guesses for those who do not want to enter their own guess, and show the live web camera feed. Gecko did an outstanding job of working with us to create a site that is very user friendly, attractive, and functional on multiple platforms. Our other project,DaysAtDunrovin, is a subscription based content driven social medial platform with many complicated features. We brought Gecko into the project after we had already designed and implemented much of the site. They have been very quick to understand our site and our goals and to suggest ways to improve it functionality. We are most pleased to be doing business with Gecko Design.

My organization was looking for Wordpress training; something that was more hands on and not only available online. We were also looking for someone to take our existing Joomla template and convert it into a Wordpress template. I thought that I was going to have to give up, but after a Google search I found Gecko Designs, and from the moment I saw their website I was captured! The first thing I notice about a business is how quickly they respond to a simple inquiry email. Gabe and Noah Silverman wrote me back almost instantaneously (great move to get my business!). We had a phone conversation with a few other people in my organization and felt really confident about training with them. The price was a little more than other companies, but when the deal is that they fly to you to teach you in your own environment, you can't beat that! Noah just finished up our training with him here and I'm still in absolute awe of everything I just learned. I'm an experienced HTML and CSS code user, but PHP and Javascript are beyond my expertise. Noah went into the code and edited things so fast, it was absolutely amazing. You also can't beat the fact that they bill in 15 minute increments. Not a lot of companies (none that I've heard of) do this. I would recommend them to literally anyone! When he showed me how to edit our new footer in Wordpress (originally transferred from Joomla), I shed a tear because it was so simple... Just a single glistening tear of happiness... Bravo guys! Going to be a bit boring this 'cos it echoes many of the opinions below. Am reworking a website and, like Maria, needed a JQuery slideshow but was having very limited success. Came upon mentiion of Gecko and was made tio feel welcome immediately despite (a) demonstrating outstanding degrees of ignorance (b) needing help in Scotland with all the time difference and distance problems this involved. Within a few days Gabe had me up and running and, what's more, his tuition was so careful and to the point that I even understood a lot of what was involved! This was important to me. I really needed some tips on how to create a jQuery photo slider in Dreamweaver. I read and viewed a few tutorials, which were too involved and not to the point.
