I went in like most people did during their lunch time to purchase shoes and get there free Weekender bag. To my surprise there is only for employees in the building, only one of them's working the register, to walk off the sales floor and never come back on, and the manager just continues to clean up shoes why the only cashier up there is doing everything by herself with a long line. I spend my entire lunch break waiting in line just to get to the register to find out that they are out of the Weekender bag. I asked the young lady why did they only send enough of the bags for one day and not enough for it to last at least a couple of days. She tells me she don't know and she don't know what to tell me. So not only did I wait in line for over 30 minutes I walked out of the store empty-handed with nothing. I will never do business with DSW again this is ridiculous. It would be one thing to have several cashier's up there with a long line, but to have one cashier doing online orders and in-store purchases by themselves and then get to the register just to find out they don't have the very thing you came for is ridiculous. DSW is a prime example of how shity customer service has gotten in today's time.

The store is usually very clean and not busy. Their selection of women's shoes is good, but the men's is pretty limited. Prices aren't bad, but some are more expensive than is reasonable.

After ordering a sandal from DSW, I went to pick it up and it did'nt fit. I needed to exchange and was in a long line at the register while the manager looked on and did'nt help. Bad business. Take care of your customers first. One line, one cashier. Other than that, huge selection. Your're bound to find something you like.

DSW Baton Rouge is my "go to" store. I just LOVE it. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. They always have a wide and changing selection on their clearance section with killer discounts. I never used to buy unusual shoes because I couldn't afford to buy shoes that would only go with one outfit. I now have a closet full of fun, stylish, beautiful shoes as well as the basics. I love you DSW. Matter of fact, just writing this review makes me want to go there right now.

Too cold and overstocked. Merchandise difficult to handle because of it is falling off the displays. Just annoying to have to spend more time picking up things off of the floor. The sales women were very attentive and professional.

My wife wanted a large, secure handbag with a lot of compartments. We had little luck. The selection was much better at Sears in the Mall of Louisiana. On the other hand, they have some nice shoes.

I love this store. It's my #1 go to for women's shoes. I noticed over the past few years, the clutch purses will last. But the regular purses/ handbags typical don't last very long. Also the necklaces and earrings are cheap made and normally 20 bucks and we'll break the first time you wear them. They shoes and clutch purses are great. Also, I bought 4 men's wallets here in the past. They are 50/50 if the will hold.

I got a very nice pair of ( expensive)women's flats off of the clearance for - great deal. While some of the shoes you find here will not hold up very long, there are some brands that are very high quality. If you go at the right clearance time and you wear an average shoe size ( I wear a 7 in women's) you can stock up for the next season at very reasonable prices - -$8 for sandals and flats to $50 for boots
