I met with In Form on a Tuesday to get a proposal for social media management and creating promotional videos for my website/social media. I loved what they had to say and felt we were in-sync right out of the gate. They said they would have a proposal to me by the end of the week. They followed up with an email saying they were excited to work with me and reiterated they would have my proposal to me by the end of the week. I never heard back.
Nearly a week after they promised me the proposal, I emailed to find out what was going on and got this response "Thank you so much for meeting with us and for your interest in hiring us, but after discussing with the team we just can't take on any additional clients at this time. We've got multiple projects that are large in scope that started up last week/this week and I just don't see a quick end in sight. With a full slate of projects we just don't have the capacity or resources that your job deserves." I emailed back asking to clarify if these were jobs they took on before or after meeting with me and I didn't receive a response back.
I am a one woman show and my time is incredibly valuable- if I’m not working on my business, no one is. I cleared just under six figures last year working part time and am on target to breach that this year, so time is a precious commodity to me. I took two+ hours out of my day ( including an hour drive round trip) to come meet with In Form fully expecting to be taken serious as a client. Not once did they ask what my time frame was for my project or lead me to believe they wouldn't be able to take on new clients. Prior to meeting with them, we corresponded via email on what work I was looking to have done so there was a fairly good grasp on the scope of my project. Based on the owners email to me, it leaves me to believe that someone with deeper pockets came along after we met.
