Fantastic clinic all around: doctors, vet techs, and front desk all care and are passionate about animals. Dr Heather saved the lives of two of my cats (early diagnosis of pancreatitis and cancer) through her recognition of subtle signs other vets missed. She and Dr. Joe are easy to talk to, knowledgeable and just plain gifted. I also value that Heather donates her expertise and resources to run free spay and neuter clinics where the need is the greatest. Even though I don't like to take animals to the vet, knowing they are going to this clinic, I feel confident and comfortable that they are receiving the best care.

I cannot rave more about the treatment our pup Hazel received from Dr. Heather Carlton. I ONLY trust her to help Hazel with any of her medical needs - even driving the pass from Victor, Idaho is well worth it. When Hazel swallowed some underwear and was severely ill, Dr. Heather and her team tried everything before having to do surgery. She eventually needed the surgery, and Dr. Heather made sure to keep her an extra night to ensure she was indeed good to go home. Dr. Heather made us feel comforted and reassured during the worst few days of our lives - even going as far as answering her cell phone at 2 in the morning when Hazel was at her worst. Recommendations and praises for the Jackson Hole Animal Hospital cannot be higher!

My cat got into a scuffle with another animal and his mouth was swollen and infected. I called Dr. Carleton's mobile and she met me at her clinic on a Saturday even though the office was closed. She patched up Benny and even called me the next day to check on his status. She really cares about the animals and the attention to service is amazing. She's the best!

This vet clinic is excellent. Thorough, respectful, compassionate animal lovers, they all treat our pets as we do - like family. They are truly interested in serving the community with the animal’s best interest always at the forefront of any decisions or suggestions made. Dr. Carleton is not one of those vets who is out to gouge a client to sell them products or services that are not necessary. Plus, when two of my dogs have had to be put to sleep over the years, I was offered different options with full explanation of the benefits and drawbacks for each, and when the final decision was made, there was complete support and empathy. I wouldn’t take my dogs or my cat anywhere else. Complete trust in them all.

The staff was professional, kind, and our visit was quick. I have lived in Jackson 30 years and have visited most of its vet clinics for my dogs and cats over the years. A decade or more ago I had the good fortune to meet Heather Carleton. She is hands down the most caring and skilled vet I have trusted my pets with, for both routine and special needs. Once, at her recommendation and before JAH was founded, we had Randy Akers do a TPLO repair on our very active border collie. Both Randy and his surgery results were incredible.
