My dog became ill very suddenly and I was unable to get him into my normal vet. WBAH was so accommodating and was able to see him immediately. Unfortunately he was very old and sick and when it came his time I chose Dr Dalton and his amazing staff. His final moments were spent warm and peaceful in my arms in a beautiful room. Lovely facility with an amazing, caring staff. Highly recommend! I have recently rescued a new furever friend and will be bringing him in to meet Dr Dalton for sure.

Our dog gets so excited to see Dr. Stark, it's so nice to see him enjoying vet visits so much! They are always helpful in making tough decisions, and have even advocated on our behalf with the emergency clinic when we had some issues. I just wanted to share with everyone looking for a vet how wonderful this clinic, its doctors and staff are. We have been seeing Dr. Dalton for our veterinary care for almost 15 years. Two dogs and a cat have been under his care and we have always appreciated his professionalism, his knowledge level, surgical skill and his doctor-patient-owner bedside manner. From regular checkups, vaccines, minor health concerns, major health concerns to the unfortunate day when you have to say goodbye to your beloved pet, Dr. Dalton and his staff will be there to care for you and your concerns as much as he does your pets, that has consistently been our experience over the past 15 years. I highly, highly recommend White Bear Lake Animal Hospital!

I'm not quite sure how to rate this pet hospital, so i'll just give it a 3 star. i'll try to make it as short as i can, We went in there to do a fecal test on a friday (latest monday), didn't have any phone calls/voicemail about the result. Monday morning, I called in they claimed that I gave them a bag of LEAVES and NO stools. First, I KNOW for a fact i did gave them a bag of STOOL; on top of that, our puppy is little which means smaller stool. I always clean it up, i would never leave a stool outside especially if its small and harder to pin point it out. Secondly, IF they truly believed that I gave them a bag of leaves ONLY (which again I know i didn't) why didn't they call me the following day, since they do work on Saturday's too. I'm not sure why any business would try to make it sound like its the customer/patients fault, just be honest! Plus I had already paid for the stool sample so makes no sense for me to give a bag of "LEAVES." Third, i'm not sure how many veterinarians work there but when we saw Dr. Winters (Matt) he seemed like he didn't want to help. Towards the end, he said he is needed else where didn't want to ask him anything because of the "rush" atmosphere he is giving. so he made himself seem, either, he was busy and had to help other pets to look at or most likely that he was just in a rush to leave. and after a second stool sample being handed in, his voicemail seemed very tiring, boring, drained out of energy not wanting to talk. But on the plus side, front desk was very welcoming, they all loved my puppy even the doctor himself: where he had my puppy licking his face for 30 seconds or so before we started talking. which 30 seconds is long for a short exam and a long 30 second of silence. if i ever come back, i'll write another review

They go above and beyond to help our pets be calm and fear free when we visit and always call us the day after any procedure, to check on our pets. The new clinic is absolutely beautiful. This is my second dog that I have had at White Bear Animal Hospital. All the visits I had with my first pet were wonderful. As my dog aged and I had to finally put her down the passion from the vet and the staff made a painful experience more bearable. Now that I have a new puppy(16 yrs since having a puppy)the staff and Dr Dalton answered all my questions and was kind and gentle with my puppy. I like that they distracted my puppy with cheese when giving shots. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a vet.

We have been bringing in our shepherd Loki for a number of years. He has hip dysplasia and is an older dog. He struggles with pain and sometimes limited mobility from it. The staff at WB Animal has been so caring and focused on helping him have a higher quality of life. Their knowledge and expertise is visible and you can feel their concern over the well being of your pet. It's the only place I will bring all my fur babies to get their care.

Easy to get an appt for a time that worked for me; this was a "Senior Wellness exam for my 10 yr old female cat. Due to some lethargic cat "issues ," blood & urine tests were advised. Call back on test results was prompt & discussion on diet & food were very helpful. We will miss Dr Stark - her level of care was extraordinary!

Doctors and Techs always treat our animals as if they were their own. My dogs have always been nervous about clinics but not here, especially now that they are in their senior years. Dr. Stark did WONDERS for #chloethedoxi she has had extremely bad gum and teeth problems and her breathe was ratchet, but gave her an injection in the gums and 10/2× antibiotic and she is like brand new mouth!!!

Over priced hack. My cat got an infection from the Revolution the vet applied to take care of his ear mites. After I brought him back for them to look at it, Donaldson tried to say he's never seen or heard of any cat getting an infection or reaction from the medicine he used... ever. Really?? He also tried to tell us it may not have been from the Revolution, even though it was in the exact location where he applied it, and nothing like this has ever happened to my cat in his entire life. He's an indoor cat. On top of that, they charged way too much for a follow up visit that I shouldn't have even needed to make in the first place. What was this brilliant man's solution? Either pay them more money to give my cat another shot, or "just clean it yourself." This guy is an idiot. Thanks for nothing

As another reviewer stated they've rendered services not asked for or needed in spite of clearly stating not wanted. The upselling is a turn off and inappropriate. I only go here for basics such as meds because it's close but my recent visit resulted in double the cost due to add ons & I doubt I will return. My preferred vet is 20 miles away but worth it.

I was trying to find a new vet for my sweet pup to get some dental work. when I called ahead and talked to bailey she explained that she was aware their prices were a bit high, however you get what you pay for, and if you get dental cleaning, the doctors inspection would be taken off the final bill. so I agree reluctantly. bring him in and they seem nice enough. I explaine how my pup has asthma along with some other breathing issues. so the use of any fragrances is strictly prohibited. they said it would not be an issue. they also reassured me the doc visit and bloodwoork would be taken off the bill. when I finally pick him up my poor guy is wheezing and coughing. his eyes are red from the trauma. I reach down to hug him and he smells like a bouquet of flowers. I'm trying to pay at the front desk and I'm told that she has absolutely no idea what Bailey could have ever been talking about and that since she wasn't there, I would have to pay the full price. I just wanted to get my dog home to help him so I payed it. she said I would have to call back when Bailey is working and she would issue me a reimbursement. well we all know where that went. down the effing tubes. I talked to Bailey a few days later and explain how upset I am with a few things. obviously the state that my dog was in and that I was charged too much. here's where she completely goes back on her own word. she said she'd never said anything like that and that maybe I misunderstood her. she also when on to say they don't use any chemicals. of course I laughed at her for saying something so ridiculous. she said whatever I'm smelling on the dog, it wasn't from them. sure. that didn't stop him from throwing up and coughing all night long while the wife and I did everything we could for him. on top of that, they can't do reimbursements. so I speak to the owner a few days later and he tells me it's just miscommunication and they didn't do anything bad to my dog and he stands behind his line of work. good to know you stand behind such a bait and switch operation. needless to say we will NOT BE COMING BACK.

Hello WBAH, My husband and I just brought our 10-year-old rescue Boston Terrier, Lucy, and our soon to be 13-year-old Boston Terrier, Dozer, to Dr. Matt Winter at WBAH for check ups and especially to have Lucy’s teeth checked. Although we’ve brought our Bosties to Dr. Winter for many years, this was our first visit and experience with him at WBAH, and we were very happy to learn Dr. Winter had joined your staff. We were so impressed by the friendly and knowledgeable staff and great care provided to our Bosties by Dr. Winter and all staff involved, and we wanted to take the time to send our sincere thanks and great appreciation. Lucy needed dental surgery and Dr. Winter and staff did a phenomenal job and were so gentle and kind to Lucy knowing she was so fearful and to us knowing how much Lucy means to us and how we were concerned about surgery because of her age. She’s recovering nicely now and feels better every day. She’s eating well and playing and we’re very grateful to have found WBAH and especially to be reunited with Dr. Matt Winter. We adopted a dog from a bad situation a few months back. We were kind of afraid of him because of his aggressive behavior at times. We brought him to White Bear Animal Hospital with a good deal of apprehension because of said behaviors. We were treated with a great deal of patience and respect. We were given excellent advice on how to handle the behaviors as well as advice on medical, nutrition and general care that could help his personality develop. I am very happy to say that today, Sam, our yellow lab is quite a joy and has such a great personality that he has definitely found his forever home with us. We have taken all of our pets to WB Animal Hospital for years and Dr. Dalton has always been our vet of choice, although all of his team is excellent. Everything about his clinic from the new building to all of the staff that has ever worked with us have been A+ in knowledge of animals patients needs and their parents. They are a very loving and family oriented staff and we are all part of their family. I have never had a pet who hasn't wanted to go there and they eagerly want the door opened where all staff welcomes them. One of our last dogs had several very serious illnesses and diseases and her care was outstanding. When she finally needed for us to say our goodbyes, Dr. Dalton stayed with us for 15 minutes, just sitting on the floor with us and loving out dog just as much as we did, after she passed. When we took her home, all of the staff stood by the door to offer their loving words. Besides the excellent and knowledgeable care our pets get, the loving family feeling means so much to us. I would drive miles if I had to just for that hospital to care for our family pets. Lord Jesus be with you and your pets.
