Our dog Brewski is a regular at the vet -- He's had many, many health problems. This particular visit was due to an emergency, a dog bit him in the face and caused severe bleeding, and damaged his K9 tooth so badly, it needed to be extracted. Your staff was so accommodating to us, and Brewski. Even though we were both scared and worried for our dog, Dr. Tom and the staff made it as easy as possible. Not only the appointment and surgery went great, but the company works with us to be able to afford the surgery over time. After my husband lost his job, we've had to pay installments on Brew's medical needs, which have never, ever been questioned, and i cannot tell you how much that helps us! We don't have to worry about hounding phone calls, or dirty looks for having to pay over time. I would recommend this vet to all of my friends, and we have referred people over. It's just so nice to be part of a vet that understands that our dog is our priority, and we'd do anything for him. Thank you to Dr. Tom, and all the staff and PVS for being so incredibly nice, understanding and accommodating. It's unbelievably settling to know you all have our back! I first went to Pewaukee Veterinary clinic because of the vet that treated my Dog, he was with another clinic and when he moved I searched to follow him Upon finding he went to Pewaukee I thought I would try it. Not only is my original vet good but I have had an opportunity to have my dog checked by others when he was not available. The staff here at Pewaukee clinic is always friendly on the phone and in person and always helpful. I live 27 miles from the clinic but will travel the distance because of the care my dog gets. The veterinarians and staff are worth the drive

From the time we walked in I know I had made the right decision for my dog. He first got his picture taken and a treat. When I met Dr Nick both my dog, Buster and myself felt very comfortable. He went thru the entire procedure. The asst. and Dr. NICK sat on the floor with Buster to get him to feel safe and comfortable. The surgery was an CCL.He had all the prices already listed for me. Once I set the date everything was in place. I brought him back the following week and received a book with his day to day recovery and appts. Everything was spelled out for me including all the meds per day. His water therapy was right in the same building and his therapist, Molly, was wonderful. I recommend this clinic with the highest ratings. Thank you Dr Nick for all the care you gave my Buster.

Our Chesapeake tore her CCL in August training for field trials. I learned of Dr. Nick Schuett from a fellow trainer. We came up from central Illinois to get the surgery and returned 4 or 5 times for hydro therapy and check ups. Dr. Nick saved my girls career with his extreme talent and special knowledge of the CCL injury. Yesterday she had her first successful hunt since the injury and made 15 perfect retrieves. My dog had a minor surgery that required stitches in his ear. When I got there, our dogs ear had bled all over the floor in the urgent care entrance. I felt terrible about messing their facility but they were great and made sure that it was not a big deal. They got my dog in right away in the morning and had him home in a few hours. I felt the price was fair and the care was exceptional. Got a follow up phone call the next day to check on the pooch. Highly recommended them in urgent care and care for pets.

Pewaukee Vet Clinic is terrible. If you decide to go there please stay away from "Dr. Tom". He treated my pet terrible and he is now affraid to go to any vet. Dr. Tom is an embarrassment to all real veterinarians. STAY AWAY FROM HIM!

This place is absolutely wonderful. There’s never an issue with scheduling an appointment and the staff is always so friendly. They also have such a nice waiting area. Until our most recent visit I was unaware that they also did boarding, daycare and grooming. They have a DRIVE THRU pharmacy!! We see Dr. Nick and we appreciate his care to our dog as if she was his own. We recently moved here from NC so I don’t know too many people in the area, but if I did I would refer them here! Oh and the TV with the slide show of staff and their dogs is always so fun to watch!!

I've used this clinic two times and always left confused by explanations and treatment schemes suggested. The long story short, my cat started to develop (at age 6) what it looked like dry food intolerance and was shown to a doctor at the clinic, and nothing concrete was suggested, though we were concerned. We were basically told the cat was ok. Few years later, the cat developed kidney problem, which over time made him highly anemic as he refused to eat. The suggestion was to treat anemic conditions as a primary cause. Additionally suggested diagnostics involving ultrasound and biopsy tests of intestines were irrelevant, so I refused and they didn't insist. Yet, my key question on the side effects and chronic kidney failure in cats induced by dry food consumption, which turns out to be reaching epidemic proportions in the US and is one of leading kitty's death causes, was not given any straight forward answer (possibly due to conflict of interests with the pet food industry). The bottom line is: the personnel is nice and compassionate, but my cat is gone and the clinic failed to do anything to help him; practices are very controversial. Paid close to $500 for two visits--waste of money and time. The situation is not better with many other vet clinics, but leaving review on this one as used its service.

We learned quite a while ago that it is well worth driving past several local vets to come to PVS. When our dog suddenly had severe separation anxiety, a local vet (who I'm sure had our dog's well being in mind) was stumped. We took her to PVS and within seconds, a thyroid tumor was found. She was back to her regular self when it was removed. We've seen Dr Tom for our dogs for years now. He has been professional, knowledgeable and kind. All the staff has been wonderful. The cost is more than some places, but it has been worth it.

Went there today due to my yellow lab and I have to say the vet we saw was the worst we have ever dealt with.I had to suggest things as far as blood work and what he probably should text our animal for. I will never return and will only give my friends advice not to go there . I would only hope that when your animal is not feeling there best that you find someone that really fills your pain not just someone who is more worried if the amount of money works for us that we will have to pay. So upset with the total experience.

Pewaukee Veterinary Services is awesome. I had called my regular Vet to see our 11 year old dog, but they were closing and wouldn't see us. I had what I thought was an emergency that maybe they could just take a look at her before they closed, but they said no. I called Pewaukee Veterinary Services, and they saw us almost immediately. Dr. Hillary Geipel was amazing, and she is now our new Vet. She did x-rays and tests, and she answered our questions about costs prior to the tests, without making us feel guilty for asking. It turned out to be a bladder stone, and she has since had surgery and is now back to normal. Without question, they are awesome for setting appointments without a week's waiting time. I can't say enough.

I had been a human client of Pewaukee Veterinary (PV) since 2007. Although I have usually enjoyed my visits and received good routine care for my cat and now dog, I had been considering a different clinic for well over a year. Why? Arrogance on the part of one of the vets on a couple of occasions. However, I had always enjoyed interacting with the rest of the staff. Things, however, came to head this past Friday. I had just had my pup in to update her vaccinations a couple weeks prior. At that time, I updated my account info, including those parties authorized to bring her in for emergency care, such as her doggy day care. After I brought my pup in for doggy day care on Friday without her vaccination record, PV refused to release the information to them, even at my request over the phone. Starting May 1st, one would have to fill out a form specific to that, either at the office or online. So, I changed my plans for the day and drove out to PV to fill out their form, rather angry, given that it was only the accommodation of the day care that left my pup able to have her weekly play day. Rather than being sincerely apologetic that my request for release of info over the phone could not be accommodated and that they had not informed me of the change in policy since my last visit, the staff person was rather arrogant, which only further fueled my anger. Yes, I expressed that anger and its reasons in a raised voice (no swearing) and was informed that I was no longer welcome there and was handed my pups records. When I asked "What if my pup has an emergency before I find another vet?" The reply was that there was an emergency clinic down the road. I left there, drove to the clinic in Waukesha I had been considering and immediately got her set up there, since I will be out of town for a week right before Memorial Day. The new clinic has her all set up and will freely share information with her other caregivers and provide immediate emergency care if needed. It seems their emphasis is on care rather than policy surprises.

I took my Malinois to see Dr Margaret for a possible, partial, CCL tear. I was worried that the only option was surgery and wanted a second opinion. Dr Margaret was gentle, thorough and discussed all possibilities with me, from the very expensive, most advanced new stem cell therapies to less expensive, more conservative options. This is the second dog I have taken to Dr Margaret because she is an excellent listener and diagnostician. I love her willingness to combine both traditional medicine with some less traditional practices. I have never felt rushed when visiting her and very much appreciate how she gets down on the floor with dogs and takes her time, letting them relax and stop worrying about what is going to happen to them.

Dr. Eli was great with my cat, who has a really bad attitude towards vet visits. The other vet I went to wouldn't let me hold my cat (which calms him down) while getting shots, getting a check up, etc. The nurses always held him and that made him more angry to the point where he would attack. But Dr. Eli is always caring and gentle, and allows me to hold my cat when he starts to get restless. Dr. Eli was awesome and listened to my concerns and all his advice helped tremendously. The drive up pharmacy window is so helpful, and the staff is great overall. Great place to bring your pets!

It was our first time at this veterinary clinic, and we presented with a complicated problem our pet was having. From the start, we were extremely impressed with Jerry and Dr. N. Schuett, who were compassionate, caring, extremely knowledgeable and helped us through some extremely difficult decisions for our dog. Dr. Schuett took so much time with us, did not rush us, and supported our ultimate decision completely. He took immaculate, meticulous care of our Australian Shephard, and made the entire experience easier for us. You could see he really cared, and was truly compassionate. We are so grateful to have had him as our Vet today, and will continue to go there in the future.

This vet is overpriced compared to other clinics in the area and the care really isn't anything to write home about. Most of the staff is very friendly, especially one of the girls, Kayla, that works at the front desk. However, this vet also has one of the worst employees I have ever come into contact with. Her name is Cheryl K. She takes an attitude as soon as you don't want to do 100% of what she suggests, sometimes she even goes as far as trying to do what she suggests behind your back (ex, I told her I didn't want to purchase flea and tick medication because I purchased it elsewhere and still had some left, she charged me for some and stuck it in a bag with my dog's medication anyways, I had to return it at the front desk after the fact). She talks down to people and takes an attitude as if she thinks she is better than everyone else. She is not friendly towards pets either (most of the staff is always smiling and petting animals when they come in, but not Cheryl). Unfortunately one bad employee and high prices will keep me away and prevent me from recommending Pewaukee Vet.

The only thing they care about is money! They said our cat was in perfect health in his last complete annual check up. But soon after that, my cat vomited blood! We immediately took him in. They did x-rays and said he was just constipated not to worry. Two days later the cat was in a lot of pain, they took more x-rays and tests and told us he had to be put to sleep or he would die in pain shortly. We tried to ask what caused this and got evasive answers. Our beloved cat was in serious pain so we agreed to put him to sleep right away. The procedure was done on the cold hard floor of the exam room, showing lack of compassion, dignity or respect for our pet’s pain and our grief over his loss. 2 days later we called the mgr. Aaron to ask for a medical explanation of what could have caused his sudden death. Aaron treated us in an arrogant and condescending manner, he insulted us, was rude and gave us no explanation or apology. They charged us over $2,000. At the very least we deserved an explanation of what was wrong with our beloved cat.

I took our Golden Retriever Angel in to have oral surgery. The Tech that came out to bring her back to the Procedure area, has No business working with animals! She looped leashed her, & when Angel started sliding along their slippery linoleum floor, legs going out from under her, she continued to drag her, causing her to choke. I started crying, & trying to hold Angel 's back legs together, while asking the Tech. to Please Stop choking her,& saying her hips were going to snap. She insisted she had to get her to the Procedure area. Another Tech. came with a sling for Angel's back end. Too Late. Our dog has severe nerve damage in her neck. Although her Oral Surgery went well, (Thank You Dr. Kelly, & Jerry), she is not the same dog, at all. Until that morning, she chased balls, swam, played with her little dog brother Sammy,& always greeted us at the door. She can do none of that now. Pewaukee Veterinary Services claim they have video of that morning that would prove their Tech. did nothing wrong, but they won't let us see it, even though there's nothing illegal about seeing it. They are completely denying fault. It is not my intention to sue them. I want my Angel back, & that video could help with future care. At this point my Husband & I are having to consider "Quality of Life", for a Beautiful, Loving, 6 yr Old Family Member, who was mistreated by an ignorant employee of Pewaukee Veterinary Services, and backed by her Employer! And in reference to an earlier review, Supervisor Cheryl K. is Arrogant, & Very able to lie in your face, without blinking an eye! ArroganAble to lie, easily

We were loyal PVS for MANY years spending money on everything from basic everyday vet care to their rehab services (water therapy). At the end of 2017 things began to change and it was clear management was oblivious to what I call chaos-long hold times, confusion on who was doing what, confusion (flat out refusal) on how to help an ESTABLISHED client during an URGENT CARE HOURS, ect. In early Spring (hoping things had gotten better at the practice) we brought in our new dog who needed surgery and we trusted PVS to do such surgery. Things didn't seem to as smoothly as they should have and we ended up having some complications and varying opinions as to what happened (I still question things and how they operate!!). No one seems to be on the same page at Pewaukee Vet and it shows! Best to take your business elsewhere!

Dr. Eli was so incredibly good with my Cheyenne. She was a black lab that had some issues. When we had to put Cheyenne down, Dr. Eli was so good to me. He sat with us and let us have time with her. The staff is wonderful and helpful as well. When we get another pup, we will definitely be back to Pewaukee Veterinary Service for all of our pet's needs.

I have had 3 vets there, did not like 2 of them, but the 3rd is fine, but not great manner. The front desk ladies are extremely nice. My problem w vets is their rates r outrageous. Is this leading people to put their dogs down because they cannot afford it? Or forego treatments? I think it's rather shameful the prices they charge. One treated me like a moron, one was so condescending, just didn't like the guy. So why should I keep paying them? One thing I really hate is when they tell u how to take care of your dogs as far as vaccinations. People read about dog vaccinations!!!! Vets make a ton of money on these. Let your dog get puppy shots n then have a titre limit taken next years. I bet it will be within therapeutics range n further vaccinations can be harmful. How many atomic bombs do u need to wipe something out? They want to keep shooting your dog up, pure $ in their pocket. Rabies we r forced to get per law even tho therapeutic range may occur. A study in France showed therapeutic ranges up to 7 years the last time I read. The vets have become so money hungry it's such a shame. My dogs are like my children, the love n dedication they give me is immeasurable. Don't they deserve the best? Finally after 6 dogs I learned vacinnations n correct food. USDA ORGANIC NON GMO. We make our dogs sick by feeding them so called good food n the vet's rich. Ann Martin wrote a wonderful book on what goes into all the major top of the line dog foods. If u read it I bet u would change.

We have been taking our cats here since their adoption 9 years ago and have had the same vet the entire time. You don't feel like you are just another client, they know your pets and honestly care. They give you complete details of the health needs, level of urgency, treatment options and fully disclose the costs so we can make an informed decision. During an emergency we can reach someone 24/7 and get advice. One of our pets struggles with kidney disease and we don't know what we would do without Dr. Tom and Jess and the rest of the staff.

it's not that they're bad vets, its that they seem to care more about the money than the pets. It's not so much for the animals as it is the literal payoff.... I find myself going to other vets for basic visits because cost and care. But also, when I started bringing my cat here for her hair cuts ORIGINALLY she didn't need to be Sedated. In fact before I brought her here, I used to do it myself, but lack of time I brought her here. I also made it VERY clear to just, shave, NO BATH. and they had done it any ways. Now I always have to "sedate" her...If you didn't have to in the first place, what happened where you have to now, or how inexperienced are your newer employees. VERY disappointed I'm thinking I'm asking for my pets records and transferring all three of my cat to another vet.

Pewaukee Vet has been caring for our family pets for decades. They have a large staff of vets, so it’s easy to get an appointment. We personally really like Dr Kelly Flowers. She’s taken great care of our senior golden retriever. He was gravely ill over Christmas weekend and she provided the best care outside of regular office hours, even calling us on Christmas to check on him. I couldn’t ask for better care.

Dr. Tom Hirsh has been our vet for over 8 years. I can only give the highest praises for him and the clinic. The clinic has the latest technology. Electronic medical records, digital radiology,ultrasound, physical therapy are a few of their services. We have used grooming services and water therapy. Two of our dogs were euthanized and all of the staff were sympathetic. We will not go to any other veterinary clinic.

I moved to the area 3 years ago and found Pewaukee Vet Clinic to take my dog. Also, I started using the kennel when I was on a trip. I got married and my wife found out every time our dog came from the kennel, she was very aggressive with us. We decided to change kennel to Dogtopia, an open kennel for dogs and since then everything change for good. About doctor’s services, they all are very professionals, and they do what a normal vet does in any kind of diagnosis or situation. But be aware, that at the time that you and your dog will put a step into the clinic everyone will see you as a $$ and nothing else. Everything that you ask, or think on asking have a price on it. I’m a doctor also, and never occur to me to charge to my patients for “ everything” . How many time patients come to me with infections and I’ll treat them even if they can pay or not…..to be a doctor has to be a service portion on it, not only $$$. My wife suggested to change clinics last year , but I was hesitant on changes; but I took my dog today and the red flag of $$$ sign came again to me. I opened my Facebook neighborhood and found a poll of vet clinics recommendations , so I decided , Yes , my wife was again right about this.

We LOVE Dr. Kelly Flowers. In fact the whole staff is friendly and helpful. They worked with me when I was trying to clear a bill up with Trupanion insurance, they kept calling Trupanion on my behalf and called me to keep me posted. I have no idea how this vet compares to others in terms of cost but the staff here was glad to put together a cost estimate for me to review before booking Xrays. They also put together cost estimates for me to compare two similar surgery options for my dog. When one of my visits had racked up a big bill, they worked with me to determine what medicines would be cheaper but just as effective. We always feel better after talking to Dr. Kelly. She provides a good amount of information without it feeling overwhelming. She is patient when I have a lot of questions. When our dog needed surgery, she gaves good advice for treatment options but also left us some room for us to do our own research and make sure we are comfortable with the options she gave us. The whole staff projects care and and love for my dog in a way that makes me feel my dog is in good hands. The staff here never make me feel rushed or unimportant. Even if this vet does cost more than other vets (again, I don't know how they compare), we LOVE this vet and love how they treat our dog.

Pekoe loves it here. His vet is Dr. Karen, who has managed to make his visits, including his injections, enjoyable. He loves seeing her. She smashes a treat onto the floor and he ignores the otoscope, syringe, and pretty much everything else. They handled a significant issue where he had eaten something and needed significant supportive care. Pekoe stays for doggie day care as well and completely enjoys it. They also have Best Paw Forward providing classes in the basement, which is fabulous.

Initially, I was apprehensive to bring my puppy to a vet that I had never gone to before but, after raving reviews from two others in my office and my mom, I had to check Dr. Nick Schuett's care out for myself. I am UNBELIEVABLY GLAD that I did. Not only was he kind to my puppy who had a broken femur on her hind leg but, he was reasonable with me and took into consideration all of my concerns. We had gone to another vet who said that we should amputate her leg and he assured me that with surgery and a tiny little baby plate in place, she would have full function of her leg. When I thought we were going to be forced to limit her abilities with 3 legs, he helped us see the light and make her future as bright as possible. He is the reason Skye will be able to run on all 4 legs and chase bunnies and squirrels without hesitations. He offered to care for her for the next two weeks so that she would have the best rehab, meds, and love while on "crate rest" to keep off of her newly repaired leg. The girls in the office, techs/care coordinators in back are so compassionate and sweet. They make you feel better, even when you're a crying mess on the phone. I truly appreciate the car they've provided and the continued supportive care they will be providing. Thy have a customer for life and I plan to bring my other 4 dogs to them in the future.

Every member of the staff I dealt with was kind, patient and very understanding of our particular circumstances. I highly recommend Pewaukee Veterinary Service (PVS) for anyone in need of veterinary care for their pet. The staff at PVS does a fabulous job taking care of our two Basset Hounds. Dr. Kelly Flowers is amazing. She is an extraordinarily talented veterinarian who has an excellent rapport with both our dogs. All the Vet techs at PVS are terrific as well.
