If I could give this place ZERO stars I would!!! My daughter’s 1 year old kitty peed blood; it was Saturday afternoon and the choices of vets were limited so she brought him to NCWV Emergency Clinic. They told her that there are flat fee of $125 which includes all kind of tests that have to be performed and the only extras would be medication (if needed). They physically examined him and diagnosed him with UTI. Never ran any tests like Xray or urine analysis. Instead, the easy solution was to give him 3 shots (!) and antibiotic to treat UTI which came to total over $250. Two weeks later the kitty peed blood again! This time she decided to take him to a local vet who ran xrays along with uri-analysis and the cat is diagnosed with bladder oxalate stones which needs immediate surgery. Now, my question is: isn’t NCWV EC shall be running those tests? Instead, never mind, there is a FLAT fee, so why bother? Right? The result - the poor kitty is suffering much worse because of not proper care and misdiagnosis of what has to be trusted Emergency Care! The time is crucial for this kind of formation and it was lost due to un-professional staff at NCWV EC. I would not recommend anyone who wants a proper diagnosis for their fluffy kids to bring them to this place. Avoid at all cost if you can.

It is with sadness that I had to take my beloved dog of 12 yrs to be put down 11/22/17. The staff was wonderful and compassionate. They made that dreaded phone call for me to High Meadows and explained everything. Thanks girls for your wonderful and compassionate selfs.

Don't bother with this place. Absolutely pathetic! Not only was I charged 400$to put down a sick cat couple years back. But today my dog injured himself and needed emergency assistance (cut artery) and I called while rushing him in. The receptionist said that a vet was not in and that she couldn't assist me and would have to go somewhere else!!! Emergency my ass!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS

My dog got sick the weekend of July 4th and my vet wasn't taking calls and directed me to this clinic. They seemed more concerned about making money than helping my poor puppy. They wanted $750 for the visit, labs, X-rays, and meds but said they could work with the price. I opted to skip labs and do the X-ray since my dog had been vomiting and was walking around with his back hunched (they said everything was good on assessment). They said that we needed to decide how much to spend and they would decide what needed done and they wanted to do labs instead of X-rays. My husband got upset and told them to just give him medicine to help him feel better and took him home. He got worse and we called Audubon whom came right to the clinic did an X-ray immediately and he had GDV (bloat). They were able to decompress with a tube and did everything they could but my dog still ended up passing away. If this clinic had any idea what they were doing and just did the X-ray like I asked then maybe my dog would've been okay. I will never go here again. It was an awful experience.

Took x-rays and said nothing is wrong so they Told me my dog pulled her left leg muscle and I took her to cheatlake animal hospital 2 days later with the xrays from this clinic which showed her pelvis bone having a break in it. This veterinarian emergency clinic is a joke can't read a damn x-ray. I will be trying to get my money back or pressing charges for malpractice.

We had a horrible experience at this emergency clinic. It was almost as bad as going to Fairmont General E.R. Our dog is very calm and they said she needed put down and we of course could not see what they were doing to cause her so much distress. They gave us very little information for the amount of money they wanted and seemed like they knew very little of what they were "selling". We also believed them because we dont have the knowledge ourselves of course. I called them for more information on the treatment and what we were suppose to do since they were vague in their explanation. Then on the check up she had not shown many signs of improvement, and the vet said well no wonder she isn't even taking the right medicine. All said and done we spent a lot of money for basically no reason and will not be going back to them again. Spent a quarter of the money and in 2 days we see a big difference with the right meds.

This place is absolutely horrible! The staff that work here are very rude and unprofessional. I had brought one of my animals to this hospital and due to the poor care that was displayed, I refuse to ever bring another animal here. Also, I should add that my animal died as a result of their lack of care. As a nurse, I know how important it is to display compassion and empathy towards someone in their time of need, especially when they are really upset and scared. The staff DO NOT know how to do that here. Pet owners bring their pets to this facility for emergency situations that were completely unexpected, therefore they will probably be upset and scared and require COMPASSIONATE, PROFESSIONAL staff. Maybe since the staff doesn't deal with patients who are actual talking humans, they don't know how to display those traits. However, they do deal with pet owners and need some training in that area. This place just cares about money and not much else. I wouldn't bring a frog to this place, let alone my beloved pet.

We had to take a dog there to be put to sleep. She was very old. They were very kind and helpful. They even sent us a card in the mail saying how sorry they were for our loss.

The staff were very helpful and caring when we took my dog in. They gave me an estimate to approve before completing any procedures beyond the initial exam. The exam was very thorough. Very pleased with our experience!

I would give NCWV 10 stars if I could. On Saturday (7/27/19), our dog Bentley had been vomiting so frequently that we decided he needed to go to the emergency clinic. We first took him to another clinic which I will not name (I left a review of this other clinic if you're curious) and our experience there was so horrific that we left before Bentley was even properly examined. We decided to just wait it out and see if he was doing better the following day. He wasn't, so we decided to try NCWV. We were very nervous because of how Bentley had been treated at the previous clinic. Immediately upon walking into NCWV my fears vanished. We were treated with kindness, genuine concern, and compassion. The vet and vet tech were so gentle and patient with Bentley, and not only were we presented with clear estimates of cost, but the vet answered all my questions and made herself available to me so I could continually check on him (we needed to leave him at the clinic overnight for further treatment). I can't stress enough how amazing the staff is. If your pet needs emergency treatment, go to NCWV. They will take care of your pet, and take care of you too.

Me and my fiancé work evening shift. We realized our cat was sick on a Friday evening and took him to North Central Vet Emergency Center at 2 am on a Saturday morning. Staff was very friendly and explained to us thoroughly what the issue was. The next night, our cat became even more ill with a blocked urethra. We took him back. They had to keep him overnight for the next two nights. We met many different staff and 3 different doctors. All staff and doctors were very friendly and easy to communicate with!!

Took great care of my dog after hours when my vet wasn't available. Friendly and helpful staff.

I can say enough good things about this place. They treated my cat with such gentle care. They quickly diagnosed the problem and treated it in a timely manner. They gave me an estimate of the cost up front. I really didn’t see much difference from the cost of my own veterinarian’s office. I would definitely recommend for anyone needing after hours care for their pet.

I have had nothing but positive experiences here! We have had to bring in two dogs (one that did not make it) for emergency services and we have received very thorough and compassionate care. Google Maps won't get you to the correct place, so call ahead for directions. I can't possibly say how much I appreciate all the help and care they have given my dogs. I wish they had longer hours, though.
