Was there just 6 months ago to get a progesterone test done which cost me 120 and 6 months later i need another one and its 175. They talking about some exam fee which my dog is only gettting blood test for progesterone test which she doesnt need to be examined for that. Its sadly to say that i will be looking for another vet to be taking my dogs to. They are great with the animals but i just dont see the unnecessary high prices

Dr. Grady and Dr. Rossi were so helpful with my geriatric cat. Even though we ended up putting her down, they were very kind and supportive. They helped us set up cremation and even made a keepsake of her paws for me to keep. Also much less expensive than other vets I've been to. Very professional, very clean, I basically have nothing bad to say about this place! Highly recommended!

They contacted me when my missing cat was found after one of their clients brought it in and the microchip was scanned. Am grateful to have located her but the client has yet to turn over the cat. Well can't hold that against Dunbar Animal Hospital, not their fault that one of their patrons is some crazy old lady is a has decided to be a thief.

Expensive and the vet purosely plays on your heartstrings and/or guilt trips you to get you to pay for overpriced proceedures that might be needed or may only prolong the animal's suffering. When dealing with end of life situations, guilt tripping an owner is tactless and unprofessional. Needless today they took me for 260ish for my mother's dog. Which he is probably going to be put down anyway. This is one of the main reasons that I don't own animals myself.

Very nice and caring staff. I took my teacup chihuahua Skye in so sick she could hardly move. Shw was throwing up and had diarrhea. She was diagnosed with Parvo and I wa so scared because most dogs do not survive this terrible illness. My ba y was hospitalized for 4 days with iv fluids and antibiotics she slowly started to get better and on the 4th day I was able to bring her home. I was able to call and check on her all hours of the day as many times as I wanted and they were always so very nice when I called. I want to thank the wonderful staff for taking such good care of my baby. I would recommend them 100 times.

Dr. Banning is a pure saint! Dr. Rossi......not so much. She is very condescending and rude. Wouldn’t take my cat to her on a dare but I’m thinking she’s a dog lover and doesn’t care for cats. In any event I have had no issues whatsoever with any other vet. They are all wonderful. With one exception.

I introduced my new dog to the doctor here. He was able to get his home again chip put in with no issues. I recommend this place to people if they are looking for a new vet. I have not gone to other places because of how satisfied I am with the service that I have received with both of my animals. They are very kind to animals even when they are a little rude such as my older dog. He does not think that anyone should ever do anything for him which I think is quite funny. Yet whenever he sees his doctor he is very excited until it's his turn for his check up.

I want to start off by saying that I have gone to Dunbar Animal Hospital for almost 11 yrs now and that Dr. Rossi is one of the best vets I have dealt with. The techs that help out are also very helpful and professional. However, I have to say that yesterday was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I had to see a different vet yesterday, Dr. Perkins, who I had never met before. She was rude and frankly only cared about what was convenient for her. First off, I was there for a simple blood test so that I could get a refill for my senior dog's arthritis. Dr. Perkins kept insisting that I do the fast test that was in house instead of the regular blood test that gets sent off because it would be "more convenient for her” and she was apparently “off the next day." In order to be convenient for her I would have to pay more money and wait 20 mins for results, again so that it would be easier for her, so I said no. She got an attitude and basically since I didn't want to do it her way that I would have to be the one to call to get the results. Last time I checked it was the office's responsibility to call with results of a test I didn't want to have to get in the first place, not mine. I also have NEVER had this happen before - they take my dog out of the room and I can hear her screaming. I looked through the window and could see THREE people holding my SENIOR dog down to clip her nails and take blood. In all her almost 11 yrs that I have been going to this establishment, nail clippings and blood taking has always been done in front of me with Dr. Rossi doing the work and only ONE tech holding my dog. So, I guess it must not be convenient or must be beneath Dr. Perkins to complete the tasks that I brought my dog in for. Needless to say it was a very upsetting situation and I will be getting my dogs records and going elsewhere.

This business accepts walk-in appointments and they were very friendly toward my dog, however, they charged me $56.00 for a duplicate heartworm test, which was only one of many charges amounting to nearly $300.00 for a routine check up.

I have been to a lot of vets . in June of 2014. I took my Dog Rusty to three different vets for two weeks for throwing up on a Friday night he couldn't stop Sat morning I took him to Dunbar animal hospital me and my sister got there around 8:30 they open at 9:00 my sister gets out of the car she gets in line to save our spot I pick him up and hold him in my arms at this time he had just enough strength to pick his head up I seen the staff going in the building at 8:50 so I get out of the car and walk over to my sister I started crying I told her Rusty is dying she said no he's not I was frantic and said he is limp and his tongue is turning slightly purple she took him out of my hands and starts kicking the door one of the staff comes running out and wanted to know what was going on I was screaming my dog is dying the woman takes Rusty from my sister's hands and said honey he's dead my sister said no he's not so we go in the side door she takes him in the back it seemed like hours but it was only minutes one of the doctors comes out and asks could they put IV and oxygen on him at this time I'm on the floor crying save my dog she said good because I've already put it on him they put us in a room about 10 minutes later she comes back out and tells us when she laid him on the table to take an x-ray she said he picked up his tail and wagged it that's when she knew he was a fighter and he was going to be okay. Thanks to Dunbar Animal Hospital Rusty will be 12 years old in May and he is doing fine

They are not set up for advanced surgeries for knee caps but refer to the best in the area if a specialist is needed. Tender loving care from everyone in the office. Mornings for walkins.
