They took great care of my new rescue miniature schnauzer. I brought her home and she was bleeding. Took her to one vet who didn't even put hands on her... Dr. Ward just loved on her, found the stone, put her on the correct antibiotics and completed the surgery. She is doing great! Great Vet and Great Staff!!! They have earned my trust!

Loved this place the first and only time I've been my shih-poo mix has been getting allergy shots since before he was a year old he's6years old now and even tho I know they are bad for him it's his only relief but she was the first to prescribe claratin and gave him a shot for insist relief but doesn't like giving them I was so happy to finally get a answer other then only a allergy shot not to mention other vets I've been to have highly over medicated him to the point the steroid shot makes him drink so much he can't hold it while being inside even when we're home I truly hope to have the same experience next time we take our shih-tzu there and our shih-poo again!

They close for lunch from 12-1 so don't try and go between those hours. The staff is really nice but sometimes there can be a wait to be seen but they take the time to check out your pet and listen to your concerns.

Horrible Horrible experience!!!!! After taking our golden retriever there 5 times with no solution to her problem found, I finally sought out a second opinion to find she had been suffering from cancer and I had to put her down. Will always wonder if I had found the problem earlier--when I first started taking her to this clinic if she could have been saved. Vet was very rude and unsympathetic!

We've been here many times; they always try to do everything they can for our cats and dogs, and genuinely care for our pets' well-being. The veterinary doctors are knowledgeable and the staff are very courteous. They handled an emergency on New Year's Eve with patience and understanding, making sure our dog was treated and recovered from a very bad case of pneumonia. They do not have a large phone system, however, so it can sometimes be hard to call in.

The people are nice. The building is old. The rooms and equipment are dated. Parking is extremely tough. Always be prepared to wait a long time. They are slow.

My Catahula Leopard Dog tore her CCL/ACL shortly after moving to WV. Beckley Veterninary Hospital, was recommended through my regular vet. After calling around, both in and out of state, they were the best price available. I spoke with the orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Perry, on the phone for 20 minutes while he explained what happened and what he would do to fix it. I felt comfortable with Dr. Perry through the entire process. Which is a big deal when doing a full surgical procedure that includes putting my pupper under, cutting bone and installing implants. The surgery went great and after 6 weeks of recovery my pup was almost back to normal. 5 months later, the same pup tore her other ACL. By this time I had moved to NC. I called EVERYWHERE within 6 hours of where I lived and no one would do the ccl repair for cheaper than $4000! I won't disclose how much I paid because, Beckley Vet Hospital gives a military discount and prices change. I will say that I spent THOUSANDS less for the same procedure that others were offering in NC so I made the 4 hour drive. If you are nervous about trusting a surgeon with your pup, you can be assured that Dr. Perry will take care of you and put your mind at ease.

Now 25 years later I got a black Labrador Retriever on April 1st and Dr. Dorsey's son is treating Bella Girls and doing a great job just as his father did...

Worst place I ever took an animal. Son took his cat in had broken leg want 1700.00 to do surgery and would guarantee he wouldn't guarantee need another surgery.SON COULDN'T AFFORD THAT . SO They put a splint it on him and he can't even go to litter box. Cost him 650.00.

Brother had his dog at another Vet, dog was very ill and needed help. took her to this veterinarian....they said they would give her fluids and x-rays and help and kept her. She had trouble breathing and was losing weight and seemed to have had fluids in her throat. Next day went to check on her after he paid an outlandish payment up front, learned they never gave them fluids, never gave them medical care and sent them home worse then when she arrived. gave him Medicines to give her same as previous facility did which dehydrated her..never gave her antibiotic or fluids or anything .After taking her home and a day later calling them and telling them she is no better and what they did and asked for antibiotics or something to help, they said they could do nothing unless he bought her back in and of course pay yet again up front....Horrible facility and I do not call this a Veterinarian or a Pet Hospital, nothing more than a scam...and for the record they told him to continue with the pills they gave her which was Fluid pills that continue to dehydrate her to nothing....and I want everyone know this little dog died and it was because of this veterinarian and the other one which is also did absolutely nothing for this little animal....Think twice before taking your animals to this useless money scam place.
