They've been really good with all of our pets. They're willing to answer all our questions and even work with us on ordering Rx's from online sources. They were even willing to travel to our home (which is an hours drive from their clinic) when it came time to put our poor Tank to rest. Will be forever greatfull for that.

The staff is great! I really like the gals that I've dealt with there, very supportive, helpful and friendly. I had two dogs and now, unfortunately, only one. The vet referred me to WSU for an MRI when one of my dogs (Gidget) lost the use of her limbs basically, over night from a Spinal Cord Stroke (which wasn't diagnosed until after a two night stay many tests at WSU). I have a minor point with this vet and that is because she did not call me after receiving information from WSU to ask about her or to give me her professional opinion. (Also, to be fair, I could have called the vet myself and asked for her opinion.) I had a very difficult decision to make and would have liked some feed back from our vet about what she thought I should do prior to that point. However, I can also say that we were new clients so they didn't really know us as well as someone who may have been bringing their pet for years. I had to have Gidget put down and they were very respectful and gave me all the time I needed in the room with my dog afterwards. Second, I recently brought Shea in for teeth cleaning. They did blood work since Shea is a senior doggie. That blood test showed elevations in her liver and pancreas. They called me and opted to wait on the teeth, put her on antibiotics and a prescription dog food for a month, then reassess. They were very sweet with Shea and kept her all day for me as I only get into town once a week for errands and appointments. They will let me drop her off early and keep her for me the next time I come in as well. It's nice to have that flexibility when you live 85 miles from the vet. They just loved Shea and were very complimentary on her sweet personality. I will definitely keep bringing Shea to West Plains Animal Hospital for care until she leaves us to go join Gidget Heaven. Shea is 13 years old and very precious to me.

Our regular Veterinarian was unavailable and our dog needs some urgent medical attention. West Plains was closest to our house. They immediately helped our dog and took great care of him. The staff was really friendly, too.

I took my kitten in for a basic checkup and for a kitten cold after I had gotten her at one of the local shelters. Spooks (our kitten) went from being our sweet girl to demon kitten when a dog sniffed her. Claws in my chin, hissing, claws everywhere and the techs just hopped right in and helped me get her into a little kennel. They calmed her right down and everything went amazing. We came in a couple weeks later for her final vaccinations (that time she hid in my hair instead of going demon cat) and they were so so so sweet with her. I love these guys! We will be using them for the remainder of Spooks life.

I took our new puppy to Dr. Belles for his initial evaluation. She is very knowledgeable, kind and provided us with information on injections, rabies, care of his ears, eyes and baths. I feel she truly cares for her "patients" and the office staff continues that care by providing excellent services.

*BEST VET I’VE EVER BEEN TO!* My fifteen year old dog was sick, so I called these guys right when they opened. I spoke with Maddie who was so caring and accommodating. They didn’t have any availability that day but she asked me to go ahead and bring my dog in and the doctor, Dr Bradshaw I believe, would see him when she had a chance. Within the hour the doctor was on the phone with me. Before she even told me what was going on with my dog, she let me know that he was laying comfortably in his kennel, that he has the best smile and that she had kissed him on the head twice before she had even looked him over. She then let me know the issue, what needed to be done, and that he would need to stay there for the day. The doctor ended up calling me in the afternoon and once again, before telling me anything about his condition, she let me know that he was right there staring up at her with his sweet little face. They saved my baby and he was able to come home that night. I have never been so impressed with a vet and vet staff. This place was so beyond warm, welcoming, friendly, and caring. For the vet to take time out of her day to make sure that I knew my baby boy was ok and smiling really shows what a huge animal lover she is and that she understands how much our pets mean to us. I posted a comment on my Facebook page that day for all to see and let everyone I know that this place is the very best. I will forever recommend these guys to anyone and everyone.

The service,and care we have received is nothing short of amazing. I have used Dr. Kris Belles for over 10 years now. She has done everything from Cattle, Horses, Dogs and Cats. Dr. Belles euthanize 4 animals for us in the past for various reasons. She shows the utmost care and compassion, not only for the animals but for us too! I highly recommend her clinic for all your animal needs!

Our dogs have been going here for a year, and it has been working well for us. They accommodate our both of our dogs' special needs (one senior dog and one dog-reactive dog with a heart problem). We have always been greeted politely, treated respectfully, and been given full attention and consideration while we are there. Lab results have been available with a quick turn around, and the surgery my dog had was successful. I would recommend WPAH.

Not the best pricing, but if the scheduling at kings vet is too far out or for something urgent like cleaning and dressing a wound on my pit bulls, they always have gotten me in same day and are open a lot more hours than most. Also they are patient with my farm dogs, they are a bit aggressive and will not tolerate other dogs ( their job on the farm is running down other dogs/coyotes) so they will clear the entry way for me to lead them through with out issue.

I am a retired Veterinary Tech and this clinic is amazing! The clinic is clean, they are well educated, compassionate team of docs and staff. I am sure that two of my dogs would have died anywhere else. My English bully ate a cat toy, needed surgery to remove it, had dead intestine they cut out and reconnected, he was home in 3 days! And I know they are kind and gentle because that same bully just loves to go see his "girls"! He just trots right in the door and heads for the back! West Plains rocks! And I am so thankful for them!!

Went for a kitten wellness exam. Wife told them that our kitten was wheezing! After they told us they checked her out, they proceeded to tell us there wasn't anything wrong but charged us anyway. Went back a second time to get our kitten spayed and asked them to look a second because it sounded like ithe wheezing had gotten slightly worse! Now my cat can't breathe at all and we are on our way to another vet emergency for our cat.

I have 2 dogs and love the care that they get at West Plains. We never have to wait. If the appointment is 10 am we are being taken care of at 10 am. It is a lot less stress on the dogs. You can tell that the staff cares about all their patients. Won't take my pets anywhere else.

TURN Back Now!!!do not even give this place a single dollar or put your animals in the unprofessional care of this place ..... we have multiple bulldogs and we planned on using this Vetrainarian for all our animals needs ... the first visit was o.k office visit 45$ and set date for surgery and given a price of about 400$ three days later I brought a second dog in for a check up and a issue with hair loss ..... I set my appointment for 9 am ... when we get in the dog is promptly checked in and we go to the small room and wait for the vet ... for the next 37 minutes we listen to a very rude and unprofessional vet yelling at her employees about not scheduling her appointment later in the evening. We listen to her yelling commands to a dog very aggressive.. and after 37 minutes after 9 am she sends a vet tech in to let us know if we want our dog seen we will need to leave the dog and pick it up later .... just so happens we are very busy people and that’s why we scheduled an appointment.. the vet hears this and then she has time to make a presence... she storms in yells at my wife that she has other things going on and that if we don’t like it then we can l leave and not return.. unknowingly to her we have already booked a surgery and also was given a 400$ estimate for the dog we were there with ... in the end she made a fool of her self was very very very unprofessional and last but most definitely not least put my animals health on the bottom of her concern.. she not only lost a client that had already booked 1000$ in services but also lost any further business.. I have and breed bulldogs which need c-section delivered... so anytime I’m in a vet it’s money she could have had if she just could have treated paying clients with a lil respect and decency....she stated she was the owner ... it’s a shame people would expect to stay in business when they conduct them selfs worse than the dogs the are supposed to take care of
