I got my dog dallas four and a half years ago and took him to valley vet clinic thinking he would be in good hands because I had know someone that worked there and was very reliable which SHE was. On the other hand, after taking him there the next four years of his life I realized that they don't CARE about my dog, they care about their business and money. He had major ear infections since he was born and I think a lot of that had to do with the fact that he was put into the wash down bay because he was so big. I trusted them since he was a puppy and all I got out of them was a dog with horrible ear infections. I heard bad reviews about this place before I took him there but gave them the benefit of the doubt because I KNEW someone that worked there. So...I have transferred dallas...to another care provider that is taking so much more care than this vet will ever do.

They have been treating all of my dogs for years. They saved my Dorkies (1/2 dachshund/ 1/2 yorkie)life. She had renal kidney failure by eating 1 grape. I had her home with en 3 days. The drs. Explain thier care with detail. The only down side is upon the entry they have a life-size bulldog statue facing the door. My dachshund has a fit, by the time we reach the desk buddy leaves a trail of nervous do-do. lol

Not just these guys but everywhere. When $$ becomes more important then a life theres a problem. Now it appears only the rich and are allowed to have pets and animals. The average person who cant afford the care when you favorite pet is sick and needs emergency care and these jerks will not except payments? I have spent over $1000.00 on vet care now and Ray is still very sick. I know they can fix him but I have no $$ left for the care he needs. Poor guy - he is the most lovable cat ever. I give you "0" star rating Ken Where is the love now jerks?

I was referred to this animal clinic by another clinic. When I walked in there was a line but I was greeted promptly and politely. I did not have an appointment but was seen very quickly. My 4 legged baby had a ruptured anal gland. They treated him, gave him a cone and some meds and sent him home. I have been a pet owner for many years and have used several different vets in the spokane area. I was impressed with the doctor and her tenderness toward my pet. I will return to this office for care of my pets again.

I would absolutely recommend Valley Vet Clinic and Dr. Kevin French and his wonderful staff! We had a situation with our cat that turned into an emergency. Dr. French and his staff not only stayed late to perform her surgery, they also took the time to explain what was going on and kept us informed. To have such wonderful and caring people is a godsend for their patients and owners. The bonus was that the price of the surgery and all they did for my cat was far, far less than I expected it to be!

My kitty baby had to be put to sleep and She passed away before they could put Here to sleep they were so good to me And send me a card for baby passing Away. And they keeped here till my payday So. Then I could pay to have her cremated. They handled everything for me they new I was having a hard time . they even sent Her to the cremated place and called me When she came back everything was great I will take my other kitty's there always.best Veterinary clinic I have ever been too. They Even put baby's my Kitty's name in on for Abused animals and they all gave a donashine in here name I thought that was Wonderful.

Took dog in Friday and they didn't notice her tail was bleeding shaved it and said just a bad bruise. If they would taken some time to look they would have known it was actually infected and now dead and her tail is gonna be taken off and it wasn't cheap 255 dollars for 10 minutes for blood work and a ua. Never taking my dogs there again.

I have been taking my pets here for 9 years. Up until recently, they’ve been great. Lately, though, they have been terrible at keeping appointments, the front desk staff has been rude and uncaring. We showed up ten minutes early for our appointment then proceeded to wait for nearly 40 minutes while everybody who came in after us got taken back. When we pointed this out, they were very rude. After 9 years, I’m looking for a new vet. I’m so disappointed.

She had brought her dog in twice to this facility within a short amount of time, the last time her dog had a fever and nothing was done. Unfortunately now the dog has passed at a mere age of 3. We adopted a dog from Scraps a year ago. The dog was sent to Valley Veterinary to be spayed before we took her home They took very good care of her during the surgery, and there were no complications. The staff at the clinic were professional and friendly. We live a considerable distance from them, and have a long established relationship with another veterinary clinic. Otherwise I would have no hesitation to returning our dog here for ongoing health care. I would recommend them to anyone seeking medical care for a pet.

Last year, this place would have received a five star rating from me. This year when we took our two cats in to get lionshaved it was a virtual nightmare. It looked as though they gave a five year old scissors, and said "Go for it." One of our cats was soaking wet when we took her out of her catbox. I had to dry her off. And they had been done for about 4 hours. This didn't make sense to us. Then there was the haircuts.... atrocious is the best I can describe them. The worst thing about this incident....is that we really liked this place.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I have taken my 7year old Boston Terrier to Dr. Julie for the last year after . In the last month we have been in the office multiple times a week because of how sick Bailey has been on and off. The amount of compassion that has been shown by the Staff is amazing. Julie has always found time to see Bailey, and listen to my concerns, answer questions and has never dismissed me when I tell her that something that maybe normal for a different dog to do is not normal behavior for Bailey. We have unfortunately had to come in and see different Drs there as well and they have always been great with Bailey too. The wait times can be long but that is something I do not have an issue with because I know that when I don’t have an apt and Bailey needs to be seen they make time for her. You can feel how much they care about these animals as if they were their own. I do not trust anyone with Bailey, but I do trust Dr Julie and the staff here.

My daughter brought in her 10 week old puppy that was acting sick in to be evaluated. The two women at the front desk are heartless, rude, and have zero compassion. Your Drs may be great but you loose clients due to your snotty receptionists. They told my daughter "we are closing in 10 minutes, you will have to go somewhere else." Then told her after she asked where there is another vet. "Just drive down sprague you will find one." What direction on sprague? What building am i looking for? So when i went in to ask for a physical address so as to NOT be driving around lost looking for a vet compassionate enough to care for dog, neither one would make eye contact and took several minutes for them to acknowledge i was even standing in front of them. Then they fuddled through cupboards looking for an address for me that they never found. I am in the healthcare field myself and regardless of if its a human or animal there should still be a fragment of compassion shown to your clients. And your receptionists have NONE. I will never use this vet clinic for the simple reason, you have those two people working your desk and its alot of rude crap to deal with before you can even see someone who might care.

Daughter called Valley Vet Clinic to cancel an appt for our dog. Was told by the staff if she brought him that week there would be a discount on the fee's Took our dog in last Friday morning for a basic teeth cleaning and mass removal on his bottom lip. When she came to pick him up at 3pm they handed her a lifeless dog and said if he didn't wake in a couple hour's take him to the ER Vet herself. What made this even worse was they told her it was going to be $185 only to be charged almost $600. Most fee's and services were not agreed on in the morning consultation. It was basically a bate and swtch. 2 hour's later we rushed our dog to the ER where he was put in ICU fighting for his life. The reason for this is Dr McFredrick failed to give him oxygen and revive him after the procedure. This man is a QUACK and does not deserve to practice Vet medicine when all he cares about is money and not your pet's welfare. 5 days and thousands of dollar's later my dog is still fighting for his life All this over a simple teeth cleaning and small mass removal. As a retired combat Veteran who uses this dog to help me sleep and to stay calm, this whole situation has turned not only myself, but my family's life upside down. Not to mention the financial burden it has caused. The following Monday a Dr French who was very professional called and offered to help. I told him no thank you, but I wanted answers from Dr McFredrick. Still no call from this COWARD. I'm asking you all from the bottom of my heart please BOYCOTT this facility They are garbage and only care about your money. Your pets have no value to them and are expendible. Totally Classless and unethical.

The actual checkup for my dog was quick, the wait time was excessive though. Came in when there was one other person inside waiting, ended up being called in for the checkup after 5 others came in and were helped before us. I'm sure there were reasons why, but definitely not desirable in terms of efficiency. Not a bad place at all, just be prepared to sit it out for a while if you're there for anything other than getting your pet's nails clipped.

***EDIT*** VVC reached out to us and addressed our concerns so I am adding 2 more stars. I would delete if I could. *********** We brought our geriatric cat Connor to them and had a few teeth pulled. A couple of months before we were there for another reason (that's when the Vet said he needed some of his teeth out) and the Dr told us about this wonderful half off special and quoted a price. Sounded good to us so we made an appointment for him. Up until then we had taken Roxy, our dog, and Connor in to the clinic. The staff was just this side of rude. Nice enough not to complain but no more. The Dr was quick and made rapid assumptions (I'm not a vet, I can only speak to my impressions on those experiences.). We were already considering finding another place when this happened. I brought Connor in the early morning and they took him. Then the woman at the front desk pulled out a sheet with a list of "optional" but "highly recommended" procedures so Connor would be safe and comfortable. One was pain medication(shouldn't that be included?!), another was for a blood work, and another was for hydration in case he needed it. It came out to be over $100! I did it because, you know, it was half off and all. I was annoyed by this at the time but got the procedure done anyway because he needed it so badly. When I got home I got angrier and angrier and eventually I wrote an undeservedly polite letter telling them of my concerns. I asked for my money back and an apology. Nothing. No response at all. No apology, no, "we'll look at that," no nothing. And later there's more. I had not checked the bill closely enough and I saw that they had charged me for a "Dental Cat Scale & Polish" for another $122. I did NOT ask for that procedure. Buyer beware at this place.

They are very kind and know their animals. Vets. are nice, but you sometimes have to stand up to them and tell them NO. Especially with expensive testing. They are also not very holistically inclined. I use herbal treatments on my animals and usually get better results, but a couple of Vets there "don't want to hear that" you should not use that stuff. I told one to open his mind up and learn about what God gave us to use. Plants without side effects.

I've taken each of my three dogs here for a few years now and loved it, until today. I love the entire staff! They are great EXCEPT for doctor McFredrick. Instantly this man judged my sweet young pit mix. I've heard plenty of hate towards these dogs and I realize how powerful they are BUT my dog is NOT mean. Anyways, the first thing this man told me was to hold her mouth (assuming she would bite). She has no aggressive behavior nor did she show any signs of aggression. He refused to help her without unnecessary sedation. He simply needed to swab her ear to figure out what kind of infection she had. This clinic is great, just do NOT go to McFredrick if you don't want your dog instantly judged and charged for unnecessary things. To McFredrick, to avoid talking to me personally about your reasoning behind sedation was beyond unprofessional and I hope one day you realize your hate towards my dog was DISGUSTING. I'm an educated young women and your quick judgement towards myself and my dog is the problem with this world.

This place nearly killed my dog. These people have no idea what they're doing. My dog's cheek suddenly swelled up and we took her here. They treated it like an abscess and put her on an anti-inflammatory, stuck a drain tube in her cheek. After countless visits, surgeries, over 5 grand worth of vet bills and nearly two months of back and forth with different vets (at Valley Vet) nothing had been solved and her cheek was getting worse. It got to the point where she couldn't even open her eye on that side. She was losing muscle mass, completely lethargic...to say that she was miserable was an understatement. Finally we took her to the ER on Ruby and a brilliant doctor (Dr. Schafgans) diagnosed her bump as a spider bite. Within a few days she was doing significantly better. I will NEVER go back to this veterinary clinic and you shouldn't either. This should be a case of malpractice! Absolutely ridiculous! How is it that three different vets at this place couldn't diagnose a freakin spider bite?!?! Do these vets even have legitimate degrees?!?!

I then called again the day before and was told to be there by a certain time and I was. I have been waiting for over an hour because of there miscommunication and get told oh you can come back tomorrow like seriously the staff have been very rude. grrrrr!!!!!

BY FAR the best vet we have been to in a very long time. the Vet, Nissa, was knowledgeable, sweet, and helpful. she took the time with us, and really made us feel like she cared about our kitty. hands down, some of the best staff. one of the upfront ladies was a bit standoffish, but the vet herself and the other front end ladies were absolutely FANTASTIC! highly recommend this vet.

A few years ago I had to have them put down my 20 year old chocolate lab. It was ruff and they were respectful and understanding. This last time I went in with my 4 year old lab for ruteen shots / check up. I saw another family going through puting down their old dog that could not walk and I saw the same respect and understanding. The vet also remembered our black lab from a knee surgery he did on her 2 years ago and asked after her knees even though that was not why we where there. There vets pay better attion to our dogs than I have had from some of the doctors I've been to.

Would rate 0 stars if i could. Set an appointment and had to sit in the lobby for 25 min while 5 people that came after me got to go in. Appointment was set for Worming and first shots. When i set the appointment i asked for a quote on the visit, and receptionist quoted me $27 plus tax. As I walk out they hand me a bill for $53. That was not as discussed. After telling the cashier how this is not what we agreed the Vet decided to walk out and offer to charge me more. This is not how you should have handled that situation. You lied to me over the phone when i was very clear about what i needed. Does this vet clinic Communicate with the pet owner? NO. Do they care about anything other than money? NO. Will they ignore you while your dog cries in the lobby for 25 min after my scheduled appointment? YES. Will they try to overcharge you without saying a word? Absolutely I would not recommend visiting this clinic.

We brought our cat here at the end stages, they all treated us respectfully and compassionately. *we have since brought 2 other animals here and while they are good vets, it's all big business. They spend less than 5 min with a pet but charge full price and push all the expensive treatments possible. Brought in a stray, the vet said it was a male. Ha she went into heat 2 days later. Brought in a dog, a breed they are not familiar with and know nothing about! Wasted my money here.

Not satisfied at the highest level at all! So to begin, I took my cat in to be clipped chipped and fixed at 5 months old. When I went to pay the amount that was due I was not expecting it to be as high as it was because I had been quoted previous to that of a lesser amout. So instead of them honoring what they had told me over the phone or even offering a discount due to the inconvenience, they enforced the full amount. I said okay that's fine but I didn't have enough money because I didn't anticipate it being that much. I hadon't brought like 15 dollars more just in case. So, I wanted to do some kind of payment plan or something of the sort...they would not do a payment plan, & immediately the Clerk put my cat behind the counter and refused to give me her back unless I could pay the full amount!! I felt as though i was being treatedme as if I were a criminal! ! It was horrific! There were other people waiting to be helped, can you imagine how I must have felt! Okay, so that's only a piece of the cake. Since then, she has had blood spotting on some toes occasionally. She is now 2 years & 5 months old. Since that day I had moved my pet to a different Clinic in which we are very happy with. So I just recently took my cat in for an exam and asked them to examine her paws due to the occasional Blood spotting that still occurs. Yes, inflammation and bruising on my her paws still. Let's think about this for a second it's been 2 years since the procedure was done and she is an indoor cat 100%, well-groomed, very well taken care of & she is very loved. So why in the world does she still have all of this pain going on? Well with a little help from the doctor the answer is quite simple poor service was done, & kitty may always be in pain unless surgical procedures are done to fix this tragic mess. This is something that we have to consider after she goes through the healing process with pain management first. So if you were thinking about going to Valley veterinarian clinic, I'd highly advise that you strongly think about your decision and get recommendations. We have chosen to go to Mountain Empire Veterinary Clinic. We are so far very pleased with the service and the staff there are friendly and helpful. Good luck with your choosing! If I could rate them with no stars, I would. Unfortunately I have to mark one... so hope that helps you with your choice and good luck with your furry family additions.

This place is the best! The vets there are terrific and very caring of the animals they see. We take both dogs and the cat here and have had nothing but the best treatment of our pets. We also used the boarding service here and that was priced well and they guys were in terrific shape when we picked them up 11 days later! I’ve been bringing my animals here for years and I’ve never had so many problems, my cat has been completely traumatized here several times, the last time being the last straw. They did not put him under for an abscess surgery and told me they held him down with welding gloves on. He came home with a huge abscess that was not even addressed, had to go back the next day for additional surgery, now three weeks later I just found he still has stitches in his belly after he’d been back 3 times. By far the worst. Do not recommend.

Our cat had unexpectedly hurt her foot, and we noticed she wouldn't step on it. This place gave us the most affordable price for the exam so we could also afford any treament if she needed it. They were able to get us in first thing the next day. We have a very busy schedule, and even though we scheduled earliest we could, we still needed to leave within 30 of the appt cause i had school & a presentation in my first class, my husband had to go to work. We let them know we were on a tight schedule and they were nice about it and made sure we werent being held up. Our kitty was seen quickly with diagnosis and treatment being handled quickly as well. Doctot took her for 2mins to give her a quick treament and she was doing better & we were out of there when we needed to be. Thank you so much!

I have 2 pitbull terrier pups, both are beautiful. Abel has puppy strangles and his face, neck, ears, and lymph nodes all started swelling. We took him to the valley vet and had instant diagnosis. Meds prescribed and Abel is on the mend. I was really concerned and valley vet eased my concern as well as educating me on how to handle his condition.

I went here for a microchip ended up getting talked in to shots and supposedly a fecal exam. The wait time isnt so bad was nice enough on a Monday. Cats in the waiting room were actually positively trained from what I could tell. The Dr was nice as well gave me steps for my new puppy. Seemed he had done this a few times. I asked a few questions and i accepted a Marco virus shot and the microchip for around 70 to 80 dollars. The Dr says we might have a few deworming tablets so he gets them after the first shot then comes in with the second shot, the microchip and a fecal exam and before this he had said since i got the chip and pvv shot that the exam was "free" so he hands me the "fecal exam". I pay and I'm on my merry way. Unfortunately I didn't know that it was a puppy exam that he was talking about. I get the stool sample and bring it in before close they ask is it paid for this being my first time ever to the vet I say ya. Well they call back right away and i see it by the time they are closed. I call back in the A.M. and am now talking to a tired and stern lady who quickly scolds me verbally and says all fecal exams have to be paid for. All in all I feel that they should be more specific and have prices listed for all to see. Free is a strong word. Consumers: tread lightly, ask questions Might go again

Very long story short, they diagnosed my cat with an upper respiratory infection over the phone but didn't tell me to bring him in. Ended up taking him to Spokane Valley Animal Hospital instead and they diagnosed him with both an upper respiratory infection and a bladder infection. Valley Veterinary Clinic didn't care about us at all.

Both my cats get very ornery during Vet visits, but on my second Valley Vet trip, one of my cats pooped himself, peed himself, and vomited (probably because he could smell his own poo) after his experience. I had to give that cat a bath IMMEDIATELY. My first visit to Valley Vet was really great, I had a female vet who did a checkup on one of my cats. I have two cats and they absolutely hate going to the vet, and they hiss and growl and swipe in their cages. In my first Valley Vet experience, the female Vet had let my cat come out of her cage on her own and that made all the difference in the world. Cat got a check up, and everything was fine even though it was tense. My second trip to Valley Vet was much different however. My second Vet visit was administered by Alex Hamilton. Again, my cats were not happy to be there, hissing growling and swiping in their cages. I told Dr. Hamilton that this was how they were during Vet visits. I have been in the area for less than a year, but this was definitely not my cats Vet Visit. In fact, my previous Vet would open the top of their cage, press a towel down, and administer vaccines while I watched. Dr. Hamilton asked if I would consider sedating the cats, and seemed very helpful at that moment, writing down the medication so I could double check with my previous Vet who gave my male cat a med that caused him to have a bad experience. Dr. Hamilton seemed nice enough, but not only will I never bring my cats back to Valley Vet, I will have a very hard time trusting any new Vet Dr. I meet. Dr. Hamilton asked me how the cats were at home. "Great" I said. He seemed skeptical, and then said: "ACTUALLY, when we see cats like this at the Vet, they are like this at home too". But I give my cats a bath once or twice a month, and I can assure anyone that at home my cats are very gentle and sweet. Then he says, "Can I handle them one by one?" and I said "of course". He takes the cat in the cat carrier out of the room where I can't watch and I hear each of my cats SCREAM, and I can actually hear the vaccines being administered. Can you hear a needle go into the skin? No you should not be able to. It was like a air pumping noise, three times. So he gets done, leads me out to the main office basically shoving me out the door. "Can I open the door for you?" and I was like, "Uhm I have to pay my bill" and he says "Well I figured you might want to get them out of here" and I was like, "Uh, ok" I put the cat carriers in my car and went back to pay my bill. After I got that done, I get in the car and I smell poop. I get them home, open their cages and I see that one of my cats had been so scared he pooped himself, peed all over himself, and vomited all over himself. Poop stuck to his butt, pee all over his underbelly, vomit smeared across his mouth and I was furious. Immediately, I gave him a bath with no problems what so ever. I called Valley Vet after this experience, because I was so angry. I don't know what I expected. I said, "Look, either I want a refund, a discount, or at the very least, tell someone" and the receptionist just waved it off, "Oh well they are ANIMALS it is not our fault if they poop" and I did not even get a single sorry. Just blaming my own cat for pooping, peeing, and vomiting all over himself. Of course, my cat was just scared to death. I am also to blame, because I should have rescheduled or asked MORE questions instead of having my cats endure that experience. I should have paid for a Vet visit where I simply asked questions, and gotten the answers I needed, instead of having a Vet who rushed to get his job done. Regardless, I will never go back to Valley Vet again, and if you thinking about taking your pets here, ask A LOT of questions, and do NOT rush anything. It is not worth traumatizing your loved pets over, and unless it is an emergency, nothing is so important that it can't wait until you are very sure that this is the right place for you.

i like this vet as far as the people who work there . but for people who make min wage. this really took a chunk out of my wallet.... $52 for exam. $20 for antibiotic. total of $72 plus tax for my cat to get ride of " minor sinus infection". . . seems a little high.
