One of my cats were bitten and I needed to make sure the wounds were not infected so I brought him to the Regal Vet Clinic to be seen (as a walk-in rather than appointment). The staff and doctor were all friendly and helpful especially when my cat decided to run from the room into the lobby. All went well and I'm hoping the antibiotic will help to clear up the bite sites. Thank you very much ~ I will be back as I have two more cats in addition to Boo Boo.

First off: the service was quick, efficient, and correct. My dog had a staph infection on her throat. It was swiftly recognized for what it was, and the resolution was handled right away. The infection has almost completely resolved, so great care there. My only point of minimal dissatisfaction was a lack of conveying the cost associated with the minor procedure needed to address the wound and infection while on site. The staff whisked the dog away to take care of it, and offered no understanding as to what liability I would have at that point. Fortunately, the price was reasonable, so it worked out in the end. Overall, I would rate this as a good clinic to visit for veterinary services, and I don't feel that any shenanigans were afoot at all. They appeared by all measures to be very caring, interested, and proficient in doing what they can to help animals.

I hate to write bad reviews, especially considering this is going to be my first review ever. I picked this vet clinic because they are open on Sundays along with them having wonderful reviews, I went there for the checkup and everything seemed okay at first, as time went on with my puppy.. I of course am bound to run into some issues, and would always call in to get some insight from the vet. Getting answers from the vet was like pulling teeth from a baby, let alone even a SUGGESTION as to what could be going on. The answers on the phone were to always bring her in, which i'm OKAY with doing but the check up costs add up and all they did was feel her stomach and push me into getting an X-Ray which I refused because I knew she had not swallowed anything. They never once suggested to me what could be going on with my dog. They always wanted to do the most expensive option rather than trying to offer you suggestions as to what could be wrong with your dog. They told me to get a Nausea shot for her which I accepted but then AFTER giving her the shot they told me it only lasts for 24h after I had paid the amount and the shot had been given. BTW, Spaying a dog here costs $400+~ After having called three other vets, I found they all charge $150. (Yes, including medication and recovery care etc.) I want to add in that I have no issues paying money to take care of my dog but I don’t condone being suggested options that are obviously just the most expensive for something so little. This vet has only ever come off to me as a scam. PS. My dog is okay now, without any thanks to this vet. TL;DR I found more information on my dogs sickness online than from the vet and their prices are absolutely absurd. Do not trust the reviews.

Do not, I repeat DO NOT, take your animal to see Dr. Lydia Gentry, she gave my cat an insulin shot on an empty stomach, because of her my baby almost died, ended up in an emergency room with a 600 dollar bill. For weeks now I have been keeping a close eye on him, fearing that he might have some brain damage, but he is coming around slowly. What vet does that, gives a cat insulin shot on an empty stomach, causing him to go into a full blown seizure????Keep your babies away from her, she does not need to be working with animals. I am beyond dissatisfied, and disappointed.

Seven years ago my cat was attacked by a neighbor dog and I panicked my vet was far away that I'd normally went to I remember seeing the Regal vet clinic on a shopping day so I ran up there with a torn up cat and they were amazing and they became my vet and will be mine until I have no more animals the staff is amazing. But REGAL Vet Clinic is even better, and much lower prices than what I'm used to- sooooo that's wonderful! It takes a lot for me to be upset enough to write a bad review. Pets don't become sick 'by appointment'. My cat became gravely ill within a 24-hour period -- on a Sunday when my regular vet is closed. First, I had to leave a message explaining the situation because they couldn't pick up (they were open). Second, I finally get a call back about two hours later! Third, I'm told they can't see my cat because there were 'no appointment times available'. Really!? I figured as much on a Sunday, but I mistakenly thought veterinarians were supposed to help sick animals. Instead they suggest I go clear across town to the emergency clinic. So, here I am wasting precious time hauling my cat in pain clear across Spokane (from me). Well I have four pets; and my family had been considering switching vets. Well, thank you, Regal Veterinary Clinic, you won't be seeing our business in the future. P.S. As of now, our beloved cat is going to make it, no thanks to Regal.

Convenient location on south hill. All members of the staff are well trained, helpful and polite. At the time of writing this review i have taken 3 different pets and seen 3 of the 4 doctors there. They all are incredible. Each is knowledgeable, friendly and caring. The establishment itself is always in superb condition. Clean lobby with stocked shelves of treatments and food. The services also priced fairly. I will go here again and recommend it.

They were wrong about what was wrong with our cat and didnt figure it out until she was already under for surgery. They called to tell us and since the surgery wouldn't help and our cat would now need to be put down, we asked them to stop with the rest of the procedure. They told us not to worry because they hadn't spent the money they told us it would cost. Much to our surprise when we went to pick up our cat and they still charged us full price. They said there was a miscommunication among their staff and they ended up doing more of the original procedure so the cost was still the same. THEY DID UNECESSARY SURGERY TO A CAT THAT WAS GOING TO NEED TO BE PUT DOWN IN A COUPLE DAYS, AFTER WE ASKED THEM TO STOP AND THEY TOLD US THEY WOULD. Guess what they offered to make it up to us? A discount on euthanasia. Lol. It's really sad because we had never had issues there before, but once one came up, they didn't care. All they saw was $$$.

Dr. Jentry worked with me to find an affordable surgery option for my dog, Penny. Penny had a massive stone in her bladder and surgery was so cost-prohibitive that I was looking at euthanasia as my only option, but Dr. Jentry worked tirelessly to find another vet in town that could not only do the surgery at a price I could afford, but could do it the next day! Now Penny is happier than I've seen her in a year, and it's all thanks to Dr. Jentry and the Regal Veterinary team! I can't thank you all enough!

My dog had been experiencing a back problem that before this other vets were unable to diagnose. This vet was amazing and recommended I take my dog to the parking lot to run him so that they could see what I was talking about. The x-ray confirmed what they thought, and were informative and empathetic as they explained the treatment. They called me back within hours, when I called with complications. I fully recommend this vet, it may not be the cheapest, but I believe they are one of the best in spokane.

Dr Katie Dull has shown that she is purely driven by money, believes herself above the WA State Veterinary Laws, and as part of the Board running the Pet Emergency Clinic ($6 Million business) has knowingly allowed the Neglect of patients being hospitalized there. We took our little Bebe in for a bump on her skin. The office and staff are so friendly and helpful. Our vet, Dr. Dull, examined our Maltese/Shizu mix and decided she needed a needle aspiration. Later in the day, Dr. Dull called to let us know that Bebe’s mast cell cyst was cancerous. My previous golden retriever got a little too close to a porcupine. Of course it was a Saturday morning, and our vet was closed. We had used Regal vet clinic in the past, and remembered that our visit was a good experience. The staff worked our Stella in, sedated her and removed all the quills. Once again, our experience was a great one. The staff was genuinely concerned and helpful. The cost was very reasonable. If we ever lose our current vet, this would definitely be our new vet. I highly recommend their clinic. Thanks for making a terrible situation the best that it could be!

Moved my puppy here from North Carolina right around Christmas. She couldn't stop throwing up and this was the one place that took us last minute to get her checked out. Since then she has been back a couple different times and the staff is wonderful, she is still a wild and they are always so kind to help calm her down and get her what she needs to feel better. I seldom write poor reviews, but I believe Regal Veterinary Clinic has some internal problems it needs to resolve when your animals are sick and the stakes are high. My niece's dog was quite ill and seen 3 times by two vets at Regal, and even though I paid for all of the medications and diagnostic tests they recommended, their final diagnosis was incorrect and if followed would surely have resulted in the dog's death. Luckily, this story has a happy ending but only because the dog was taken to another (non-Regal) vet who immediately diagnosed the dog with food poisoning and prescribed the correct treatment and medications. Two separate Regal veterinarians examined the dog and both incorrectly diagnosed him (one even stating he had lymphoma). All I can say is we spent a lot of money at Regal for multiple visits and treatments, and they got it wrong. They're nice enough, but after our experience I question their knowledge base and expertise. Perhaps they're fine for routine visits, but if your pet is ill you may want to think twice about using Regal Veterinary Clinic because, quite frankly, their best was not good enough.

I love this clinic.❤️They were wonderful and very helpful when my dog was diagnosed with diabetes. Dr. Vagt would call to check in on how Teddy was doing and if I had any questions. They directed us to the wonderful staff at the WSU Veterinary Specialty Clinic and Dr. Kaiser when he developed cataracts and the beginnings of glaucoma. Dr. Gentry and the staff were compassionate and helped me through one of the hardest decisions I have had to make. And today we had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Dull with our new puppy. I went and took my dog here and they literally told me Exactly what I told them when I came in charged me the fee To examine my dog and then sent me to a another place that was going to do the exact same thing for more money. The estimates that they gave me was outrageous and admitted that the specialists they were going to refer me to we're going to perform the exact same tests for additional charges.So the outcome was that I left this place with 0 information 0 help they do not perform anything and took money from my pocket this place was not any help. I even asked in the beginning if I should just go see a specialist and they said no, Until I owed them money then sent me on my way.

Open 7 days a week! We took our 5 yr old cat there that had a complete blockage from crystals, he wouldn't eat or drink anything was lethargic... barely wanting to move. It was dreadful! Thank goodness there are places and people like these!! We were there a little longer than planned and had our 2 & 1/2 yr old daughter with us and they still were so welcoming. *Even have puppy and kitten coloring books and crayons* Couldn't be happier with our visit, especially on a Sunday!

I regret putting my Dog's picture on their Yelp site to promote them - I have been taking care of my Pups for the last couple weeks because the Vet decided to give him a tranquilizer without notifying us of the side effects. This wasn't a situation where we did not ask and they did not mention it - we asked the Vet and the tech up front and they told us that there were no serious side effects. After the first two doses, my dog was lethargic (fine, it is a sedative) but also had bloody diarrhea and vomiting. Once we inquired with a second Vet from a different clinic (unaffiliated with Regal), they informed us that the medication had a common side effect - bloody diarrhea! The risks, especially when it comes to a 15yr old puppy, do not outweigh the benefits in this case. The Vet should have been open with us and instead was (at best) misinformed or (at worst) an outright liar. After we took him to Regal a second time due to his bloody diarrhea, they blamed the treats we gave him (under Vets recommendation)....only after doing $300 worth of blood tests and finding nothing. It seems to me that the Vet created a problem in order to get us to come back and get it fixed. Total rip off.

What a great first experience at Regal Veterinary Clinic! I was nervous to leave my vet on the north side of Spokane after my family bringing our fur babies there for over 20 years. But moving from the north side to the south hill I needed a vet that was closer. My baby got sick this weekend and my vet up north is not open on the weekends. I called Regal Vet Clinic on sat and they got my baby in that day. I was nervous to visit a new vet, but they immediately eased my nerves. The vet tech and vet were knowledgeable and kind. They took wonderful care of my dog. Feeling at ease about my new vet. And their prices are reasonable! Thank you Regal Vet clinic! Looking forward to working with you all!

They seem to care about the animals by calling to check up on them and how they handle them but at the same time it feels like they are taking advantage of them (or us). The communication between them and us isn't completely clear. One visit our cat had this and another he has that. Plus they seem to not communicate the costs for their tests well. Wish we had money to not worry about that but we can't keep wasting money beating around the bush or bringing them in and spending money on the tests and just walking through the door. Just wish they were more direct about their expectations.

I have been there twice now. The Veterinarians and the rest of the staff were friendly, professional and patient. I appreciate them taking the time to explain everything. I also appreciate receiving a written estimate before proceeding with tests/ procedures. I do not know how they compare with other Veterinarians in the area as far as pricing. But it is a little pricey for my budget - wish the had a discount for those with lower incomes.

1/25 My first visit, I explained I had been in Olympia and my friends dog had salmon poisoning. My dog had suffered Elizabethkingia Megingoseptica in the past. I was concerned since he quit eating and drinking. They ran "tests" $300 for a radiograph. However, no one in the clinic was able to work the computer or able to explain what was going on. 1/26 I received an unexpected phone call asking how my dog was and if I had any questions. I did, indeed have a couple questions. The gal was dumbfounded by the notion and asked to put me on hold. I simply asked for her have the vet call me when she could. 1/27 5:00am Went to Pet Emergency. Until Regal had opened. The male vet thought to keep my dog until later that evening. Then called me mid day to tell me my dog has Lymphoma Cancer and when I pick him up we can discuss my options. I then tell him my family is willing to help with payment but it was imperative they research his previous ailments in advance BEFORE RUNNING UNNECESSARY TESTS. My heart is broken.... 1/28 I go in without an appointment. Angry to find someone called me to tell me my dog has Lymphoma THEY NEVER SENT TESTS OUT OR TALKED TO MY VET.... I told I WAS DONE THERE...That they were Incompitant. Maybe I was a bit rash. But so is getting a call that your lossing a loved one by an ignorant individual. THEY NEVER DID THERE RESEARCH! I was done with them and it was clear. The vet tech tried to follow me out. TO MY CAR TO OFFER FLUIDS. I rejected them and got in my car... Left Spokane right away, drove to Olympia 5 hours where my regular vet was... Regal took it upon themselves to then charge my relatives that entire day.....OVER AND OVER AND OVER. They took advantage of my family knowingly. I left we were done because they hadnt done their job. I arrive in Olympia at Evergreen Vet Clinic and whatta ya know folks. Salmon poisoning. The took full advantage. NEVER GO THERE!

They seem to truly want to care for your pets, and seem to treat the animals well. However, they regularly hit people with hidden fees & charges that aren't disclosed up front, even when asking for a written/printed quote ahead of time. This happens to be illegal under both state & federal law. I doubt I will return. I've made 3 visits for routine shots/exams & all 3 times ended up paying close to 3X what I was quoted up front. I am disabled & low income. 1 of my pets needed a yearly exam & updated shots. I was quoted $65 on the phone & at the front desk. However, when I went to pay the bill, it was nearly $170. They had tacked on a whole bunch of things that they didn't disclose nor ask my permission for. So I complained & was promised changes would be made. The 2nd time I went there, they did it to me again. 3X the quoted price. I threatened not to pay, so they threatened to keep my pet & give it to a stranger. This is no way to run a business! Like I said, I'm disabled & low income. I can barely afford a $40 - $60 vet bill, let alone one close to $180. I almost had my power/heat turned off because of that. I had to go to SNAP & get emergency help with my power/heat bill so it wouldn't be turned off.

We've gone to Regal Vet for years. It doesn't matter which doctor we were dealing with, they are all amazing. Unfortunately we just had to say goodbye to our pooch. From the front desk to the vets, their staff could not have been nicer, more compassionate and understanding. Bailey had many medical problems we had to deal with when we got him from scraps. He had a badly broken leg, and a paw infection and needed a vet that could handle seeing him regularly and really guide us new dog owners through the process. PLUS THEY WERE ABLE TO SEE US IN A PANIC ON SATURDAYS. We work 9-5, we have to be able to be seen weekends or early...I think after 6 weeks of medical care we only spent around 600ish dollars for multiple leg rewraps and cones and 3 different splints and all day vet visits and paw washes and scraps and xrays and exams and medications, oh and love and belly rubs. That, plus the ultimately professional love and care we received made me feel supported so I could effectively train a new rescue with medical issues. After 6.5 weeks, he is infection and splint free! THANK YOU

I appreciated the vet assistant distracting the dogs by giving them a treat while vaccines were being administered. The facility is very clean and modern. Would definitely recommend!

The prices are insane. Customer service was okay but I felt very pressured into buying certain things and they literally force you to pay for certain things that are irrelevant. Was charged $15 for a cone (that I didnt even want but was apparently "mandatory") for my kitty to wear after her surgery and they didnt even put it on her they just attached it to the cage. we didnt even use the cone.

I was sad and appalled by the care provided to my friend's dog Pups at Regal on 2/20/19. I had told my friend to consult about a sedative to address the anxiety component and insomnia associated with her dog's senility. The problem at Regal was the lack of communication as to the potential side effects of the two drugs prescribed especially in view that he is a geriatric dog. The medication prescribed resulted in bloody diarrhea. Even after reporting the bloody diarrhea, my friend was not told that this is a known adverse effect of that medication and instead of discontinuing it, the vet only put it on hold until the bloody stool subsided -the very side effect it was causing which was later confirmed by the dog's regular vet. Then there is the fact that my friend paid more than $400 for this visit.

Great vet. I have seen two docs here for my dog, and they have solved all problems. They give you an estimate before any services are done, and have great hours. They were able to get my dog in for surgery quicky and communicated ASAP how she was doing.

I've left 5 star reviews for Regal in the past, and I still believe that their docs care very much and know what they're doing. If not for the quality of the docs this would be a 1 star. If you're wealthy and can afford to be charged a 300 to 400% markup for medications (and probably services too), then this is a great vet. But seriously, you'll probably want to just find a place to fill any prescriptions you are given instead of getting the meds from Regal because the markup is horrible.
