So this place straight up lies to you about upfront cost. My last visit was $150 off of what I was quoted over the phone. This is the second time they have done this too us, though the first time they did this is only by $50. They quoted me $350 for all of this visit including here getting her spayed. We decided to break up the visit so we could get blood work and the UA back before she has surgery. The extra expenses was suppose to be $25 for the additional office visit. We have Pet Assure, which they place straight up goes out of there way to avoid providing there a discount. I am contacting pet assure about them but I won't be returning. Our bill today was $292.92, the only gave us $29.00 off even though it is suppose to be 25% off of the entire visit. They use our dog against us basically insinuating that if we argue with them, we are bad pet parents. Getting her spayed her would likely be $200 plus since originally it was the bulk of the cost. Thats not even including the cone, pain meds, ect...Which bring up to like $500+ for all of this, which mean they under quoted by $200+. I am never taking my dog here again, which she hates this place anyway. I get that going to the vet is an expenses, which I am fine with. I just am not fine with being point blank lied to over the phone about cost. I expect cost to me something that is disclosed upfront and expect new charges to be gone over before I am charged. Anything else is unethical. This is just a very shady vet clinic and because of that they will not longer be receiving my business.

Great staff. Good communication. Came on a Sunday because my vet was closed. This is my new vet now!

I took my cat to be spayed here after seeing online that this service costs $59.99. My cat met all the requirements (not in heat, under 1 years old), so I was happy to find a place to take her that would be cheaper than my usual vet. Before you get your cat spayed, please note that they tack on MANY additional charges, most of which they don't tell you up front. My total came to $171 (ouch!) and I couldn't dispute this because the service had already been done. When I asked to pay upfront, they refused. I should have left at that point, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Charges were: -$59.99 spay -$41 for fluids (apparently these were "necessary" even though they were listed as optional on the sheet) -$10 for a cone (I was called a "bad pet owner" when I initially refused to pay for a cone. I honestly have never been to a vet where they charge for this. I was lectured for ~3 minutes about how I shouldn't worry about cost when it came to my pet's health and I was being a "bad pet owner"). -$36 for 2 shots (not sure what this was... wasn't told about it when I signed the paperwork, so this was a surprise charge that I couldn't get out of). -$20 for an office visit (wasn't told about this either... no where online did it say you had to pay $20 plus the $59 spay charge!). -$3 first time patient set up fee (no problem there, I saw this online). All in all, my cat was fine after the spay. However, I am on a strict budget and this was a very unexpected charge. If I would have known it was going to be this expensive, I would have taken my cat to the normal vet where she would have had a warm blanked, a treat, and extra recovery time.

Dr. Kafke is an incredible veterinarian. He has been careful and efficient throughout all of my visits. He has been understanding, honest and accurate in diagnosis with my dog when he easily could have taken advantage and charged me more than necessary. Wonderful vet and the staff is always polite and helpful. 100% recommend this place!

Katie

So happy with our visit! It was our first time at the clinic and it was for an emergency. They were more than happy to see our dog right away and listened to our concerns and were so helpful. The doctor wanted nothing more than to make our dog feel better! Will be back for future visits!

I highly recommend Greenwood. I've been coming here for all my dogs needs since I discovered their prices. The staff are always very kind and knowledgeable. Great hours too.

Compassionate, affordable pet care, even for emergencies. Our cat had not urinated in more than 24 hours on New Year's Day. Calling around Seattle, this place was easily the most straightforward with low exam fee and they were more open about options over the phone. All other places rope you in with higher exam fee and only quote treatment options after you're on the hook. The only other quote said it would be $2500-$5000 range and Greenwood kept it all under $1000, and we had pretty much the worst case scenario from my initial phone call. When something similar happened four years ago we paid $3600 at a Fremont clinic. Once we arrived at Greenwood the cat was examined quickly, the vet explained all options and costs, and we decided to admit him for treatment. Everything went according to the vets plan and they explained everything and reviewed perscription drug instructions for our cat, who made a full recovery a few days later. We plan to use them for boarding during vacations and routine check-ups too due to the location and low prices.

I used Greenwood Vet for a year, but changed to a closer vet: what a mistake. Greenwood Vet clinic is a wonderful facility for any dog or cat.

I frequented to Greenwood animal hospital with my two dogs. The staff and the Dr's were very acknowledgeable and kind to my dogs . What I dislike was, how greedy they were once they found out that I can pay lot more than other customers. My charges were a lot higher than others. One point, Dr's even pointed-out that they need more customers like me. I believe all professionals should treat everyone equally . I am very disappointed.

Stephanie De La Cruz

They are the nicest people I have ever met when it comes to my pets. They make us feel like family, been going there for over 5 years :) super reasonable. My little dog had surgery to remove a small abscess on her face and she healed very nicely. She's also a pig and part monkey, she ate something she shouldn't have and was suffering from pain! We got xrays and medication to help her through that. Been there many times for shots, and some spay and neuters for cats :)

Sanjay Thumati

Really nice doctors and staff. They take good care of our dog every time we go for check up or emergencies. Doctor Zile Singh and doctor Raj have been very effective in diagnosing and treating our dog.

My friends recommended this doctor and I'm very satisfied that I took a chance and took our GSD to them. Even thou it takes us almost an hour to get to the doctor, but I would not change him. They are very nice, polite and very generous team. They are true professionals in what they do. I'm very thankful to m friends for the recommendation.

I'lI start out by saying that I would give this place zero stars if I could. I took my 8 year old yorkie to this practice, as he was having some very worrisome symptoms. I did not care for the place from the moment I got there. It was very small, with the client exam room directly off the waiting room. I could hear what sounded like 10 dogs barking frantically. It sounded like I was at a poorly run animal shelter. When Dr. 'Tom' came in, he barely acknowledged me. He did not seem to care about anything I had to say, and did not give me any diagnoses or ideas of what could be wrong, simply stating that he had a 103 fever and that it could be a case of poisoning. He left and sent one of the front desk girls in to deail what would be done, which amounted to an overnight stay with tests, IV fluids, and antibiotics. She named an exorbitant price which I could not pay at the moment. I had explained my circumstances to her, and to the dr. during the exam. I told them that I didnt want him to suffer, and that I would be able to pay them at the first of the month, which was only 3 days away. I was told that all services must be paid for at the time of treatment. I was not offered any payment options except a medical loan which I could not qualify for. They brought Rufus back to me and sent him home knowing he could suffer and possibly die without care. None of the staff were sympathetic. I sat there for 3 hours waiting for my ride service, watching as the dr. came in and out, totally ignoring us. I didn't expect a handout or charity, but to let an animal suffer and still call yourself a vet is unforgivable. Dr. 'Tom' had the worst interpersonal skills I've ever encountered. He was silent, condescending, and made me feel like a horrible pet parent for not being able to pay right away. I've encountered poor bedside manners in people doctors in the past, but this was the worst example I've ever experienced. They are only out to get as much money as they can from you. All the positive reviews obviously came from people who have money to pay the total amount of their fees upfront. If you aren't able to do so, you are treated like you and your animal don't exist. As I sat there waiting, I observed that all of their clients were "well heeled", (pardon the old fashioned expression). These customers were treated with respect and deference, unlike my own experience. No animal should suffer due to lack of funds. If I took my daughter to the E.R. with any symptoms let alone serious ones, would they withhold treatment until I could pay? No they would not. I have been in similar situations with animals before, and was always offered partial payment, then a monthly payment plan. When my poodle became sick with pancreatitis and ended up with diabetic ketoacidosis, I could not pay the exhorbitant prices of pet E.R.s. But the doctor (different clinic) actually covered part of the fee with her own money so that he could be euthanized as he was suffering terribly. The whole pet care system, from insurance that won't cover 'pre existing conditions', (including unforeseen emergencies like poisoning or vestibular disorders or anything they haven't been paid for in advance) to veterinarians like these who only care about their fees, needs to be changed. To most pet parents these animals are simply "furry children". The animal rights movement in this country still has a long way to go. Luckily, my little yorkie miraculously recovered on his own. It may have been a vestibular disorder, which usually resolves itself within a week or two, I don't know. I also later found out from webvet that a fever of 103 isn't considered to be from toxicity or a virus, it's not even unusually high. It's usually a 'stress fever", and it was warm out that day. But I would have been stuck with a large fee that wasn't necessary, and probably no concrete diagnoses in the end after all. Dr. Tom should not be practicing at best, or at worst should not be dealing with clients personally. I will never go back there.

Very knowledgeable and very reasonable And very happy I found a awesome vet

Karleen Brigham

Very reasonable can be a back up on a busy day. Dr. Zile is the only vet most of the times. Everyone is nice and they work with rescue groups to help the animals which is very noble on their part. I am happy and know the staff works very hard to help the animals that come into their hospital. I witnessed first hand 2 acts of compassion on Dr Ziles part. He adminstered fluids to a dog in the parking lot. The dog was older overweight and over heated on a run with the owner. He was buying the owner and the dog time. The dogs kidneys were shutting down it was a very sad thing to see but it gained my respect for his compassion to help the dog and not be clinical about it like so many vets can be. Good place and I reccomend them. Limited to certain proactices and treatments but will refer out.

These folks deserve 6/5 stars - I can’t even begin to describe the experience we’ve had with this vet. They feel like family and we’ve only been clients for a year. Receptionists, vet techs, and veterinarians are all beyond the best. Affordable, open all days and late hours (have an emergency Thanksgiving morning? No worries, come on in!), no appointment necessary, no inflated or stuffed invoices, simply the best animal care in all of Seattle. We have two dogs and two cats, and have TONS of experience with vets - and these wonderful people blow us away nearly every visit.

Jenny Miller

i never write reviews but i saw a review for this awesome place that was poor. dont listen to them. this place is THE BEST. I have had pets for the 52 years of my life and this is the best vet I have ever found. Dr is smart, caring, kind and good, the staff is competent and the prices are right. they work 7 days a week all for our pets. This vet is the best, and everyone i see in this busy place agrees.

Stephanie Blake

Horrible, I would never suggest them. Unless you have all cash up front! We have a Chihuahua who may die from ingesting something and because I didn't have $580 up front I could get no help...as a mother of 6 it was hard to break it to my kids. I have always taken my pets here and referred people throughout the last 10 years and never again!!!! I offered $120 up front and my debit card info as I get paid next week but these heartless fools would not even take it. If I were anyone else I would say go for a company that isn't about money and is more about saving animals.

Asad Usmani

I like their welcoming attitude and were very efficient in taking care of us

Jessica Meikle

Went here because they quoted us a very affordable price for teeth cleaning for our cat. The entire experience was great and they were friendly and professional. Would definitely come here again!

This place is rare and excellent in every single way. They saved my daughters cat's life when she had literally hours to live - if that! They stopped what they were doing and took her to surgery without delay. I have never experienced anything like it even when needing medical attention myself. I hope they know how much they are appreciated and respected in these times when quality and skill and love are so hard to find. One last detail. Ive gone when I was financially quite well off and also when I was homeless and had nothing but a sick animal. They did not notice the difference, Truly awesome, Thank you so much to the staff and everyone at Greenwood Animal Hospital.

Brandon Towers

After my dogs surgery we went back to have the stitches taken out. She was so excited to be back at the Vet. I thought it was the strangest thing. After all the trauma and pain my dog was in. She must've been treated really well for her to be so excited. I think that's pretty special. This will be my Vet so long as I still live in the area.

Kris

They did an excellent job with the dental work my dog needed, they took great care of her, and the cost was less than half of what it would have been at our nearest clinic. Thank you!

Devin Riley

Incredibly nice people. Had to put my cat down and they were beyond accommodating and empathetic. Made a terrible situation bearable

Aubrey Wallgren

When I first went here with my two pets, the vet was so nice and made us feel so welcome to the clinic. However, the second time I went with just my dog, the vet was vague. My dog had a problem with her eye and the vet (not the first one we saw who was great) just looked at it and gave us some medicine for it. He checked to see if it was cancer or something (he never told us what he checked for) and came back out without telling us what was wrong. We went in wanting to know what was wrong with her eye, and we are still trying to find what is wrong because he never told us. He also told us they would explain what the medicines were, but no one ever told us anything about them. They had us pay and that's it. I will not be coming back to this vet and will not be recommending them to anyone if they won't give us any information about the medicines or even explain what is wrong with our pets. I am so disappointed in this clinic because my first impression of it was so wonderful, but now I don't want to ever go back. Edit: We found out from the other vet that the lump on my dogs eye is cancer. If Greenwood had done their job, we would have known three weeks before we found out from a different vet. There is absolutely no way I will EVER be coming back again with any of my future pets, and I will never recommend this vet to anyone.

I'm so confused about the negative reviews on here! No, it's not perfect, but what is? The location is tiny and there's often a wait. However, the wait is worth it. My cat was having a time-sensitive emergency and my previous vet wouldn't take him--they told me to drive 12 miles during rush hour up to Lynnwood to see their "ER". So, I googled emergency vets nearby and came up with Greenwood Animal Hospital. Not only did they take my cat immediately, they waived the first office fee and were so friendly and compassionate. They always are! This has been my full-time vet for almost two years now. The prices are comparable to anywhere else. It has a very family-run feel to it and you can tell how passionate everyone is about the care of the animals. I think the negative reviews just come from people who expect perfection and pampering without considering that at the bones of it all, your pet is in perfect hands at Greenwood Animal Hospital and that's all that matters.

Freefallinfast fast

I have used this vet in the past and it was always a fair service at a great price. I took my dog in for a Neuter and thought I was at a used car lot being tossed all the extras. Checked the website before going and found a Neuter was $ 64.99 (0-29 lbs) so I made an appointment and drove in expecting to pay 65 dollars. Yikes, once in the little room with my dog they brought up the long list of charges all piled on to the 65 dollars. The 30 dollar fee for the dog being more than a year old, the 25 exam fee, the blood test fee, the 45 dollar catheter fee, the fee for a cone, the fee for the take home meds, etc, Youza, the 65 dollar Neuter I was expecting rang up over 200 dollars. Probably the last time I will be going to this vet as the list of extra charges was not disclosed until after my dog was on the table to meet the doc. The website should be clear that all those extra charges will be presented to you when you take your dog in.

I have been coming here for 4 years. These doctors are very kind and gentle with our animals. I have been taking my dog here since she was a puppy.Their rates are affordable and they have always been straightforward about the cost. Their establishment is clean and it's easy to get your animal in on short notice.

Allan F

Very cheap , took my pup in for his first shots and it was 75$ for all 4 shots .. their accent is strong wich makes the doctor hard to understand, but all in all . You can tell they're pet lovers and they treated us great =) CHEAP AND FRIENDLY

Cheyenne Marie

Greenwood is the best vet I've ever been to. All of the people who work here are caring, gentle, and so kind. We have moved out of the area and visited numerous other vet offices but no vet compares to the professional and empathetic treatment we always receive at Greenwood and we will continue to travel over 70 miles because they're simply the best.

This is a very professional and affordable animal hospital with friendly staff. I am always greeted upon arrival and I am met with right away. I highly recommend Greenwood Animal Hospital. I brought my 18 year old senior dalmation- retriever Joya. Dr. Zile treated her with sensitivity and dignity. When we return for her, she has a large grin and is wagging her tail. We are very appreciative of the quality care and explaination of treatments before any steps are taken.

Holly Eckstrand

Dr Zile is kind and knowledgeable. He, his wife and staff are just wonderful in crisis situations. I have never been "encouraged" to do unnecessary testing unlike my previous Vet clinic. I went to Greenwood this morning hysterical after finding a lump on my Frenchies chest and blood in her urine. Not only was her care immediate and top notch but they also cared about ME. I expected a huge bill....Nope....under $200 for everything AND a nail trim. Under these circumstances SOME Veteranians will take advantage of a vulnerable scared fur parent and their wallet. Even though Greenwood is a 45 minute drive (on a good day) from my home I won't go anywhere else! Holly Eckstrand

HAL 9000

I Agree !!! Best Vet we ever had. Loki RIP : ) Would recommend to everyone

Una Liang

They are rude and really expensive!!! Much higher than other hospitals! Really bad

Greg Davison

Didn't get much of an experience here as I waked in to ask to get my new puppy vaccinated and to my surprise the receptionist was clearly drunk. I did not see that coming. I'm guessing she is the daughter of the family who runs this hospital because there is no way anyone would let a worker belligerently get away with that. 0/10.

Marian Mays

I love my vet! They’ve gotten me through cancer surgery with my dog, emergency situations, and we love them for boarding. They are patient with my dog’s anxiety issues and non-judgmental. My dogs love Dr. Z!

Brooke Lindsay

Wow! This doctor and the family and staff and incredible. I found this place because it was the least expensive for some dental work for my dog. They did the work for half the price as any other local vet. Plus, they were beyond considerate to me and loving to my dog. I've taken him back several times since with the same experience. They even board pets for a very reasonable price. I trust this clinic with my dog, even on vacation. So happy to find a vet that is affordable, knowledgeable and loving!

emily bisonnette

My folk's dog broke a nail (out of town) so I took him here where we usually go and they were not upfront about where the price was going to land. when they gave me the final price for taking care of his wound it was more than I had on me. I asked if they could invoice me and they said no they would want my folks to call from Europe to pay them. I tried asking if we could come in tomorrow and they insisted that he would stay with them until they received payment. my dog gets extreme anxiety in the vet's office or boarding. The vet tried to tell me that the reason I didn't hear him barking was because he had made a new friend in the kennel in the back and he would be happy to stay. THAT IS SOME BS IF I EVER HEARD IT. the reason he wasn't barking before was because he had been sedated. By the time I had left to find a credit card and come back he was barking his face off, I could hear it from out front. They overcharged for an office visit that was literally the vet checking his pulse and not even writing it down I don't know what they do with that info but it's hard to use information you don't have written down. As I was leaving with him they handed him over and I was confused because they billed me for medications that said take home but they didn't give me any. I asked and the front desk staff said they gave him the meds already but I am not convinced. If I could give no stars I would... they charged me for $75 of service I'm not convinced in any way that my dog received.

Dawn Berry

Customer service and bedside manner are top notch. They really care about their patients.

Kingsbury Parker

Very fine animal hospital! They also take emergency drop ins during business hours so their appointment schedule gets altered for those and they can get very busy at times. Their rates are reasonable so several pet agencies use them. We take all our pets to them now and we recommend them to our friends.

Heather T

I really like coming here with my two Pugs. They take really good care of them and have always had very reasonable prices with their care. Yes things are itemized and others have complained, but if you look at your hospital bill itemization is just a fact of life and a way for recoup of costs. I have worked in Medicine for over 15 years. Other clinics for emergency visits, dental and other surgeries are way more. The place definitely isn't fancy, but they get the job done and are very professional and courteous. The vet techs always treat my dogs well and the Doctor is very informative and lets me go back, review X-rays and goes over labs with me. My dogs have always come home happy, healthy and full of life.

Shayna Mullins

I love being to walk into the clinic without an appointment and still never have to wait long. Dr. Zile is so caring about all the animals and always goes above and beyond to provide the best care, even if it means staying late! I wouldn't go anywhere else! I've referred many family and friends here and I've always gotten great feedback from them. Our dog is a crybaby and a drama queen so he's always a pain to take but I've never heard a complaint from any of them. Would highly recommend this place.

Took my dog in around end of last Dec (less than a month ago) because she had a cut on her paw from playing outdoor, they did the whole health exam thingy on top of all other charges including some vaccinations and drugs for the cut, well I see it as an office visit charge, even though all he did was checking her teeth, touching her butt and hear her heart beat... took about 10 sec, easy $30, that is totally fine with me to be honest, I think an annual or semi annual check up is good for my dog. Got a call few days ago, receptionist told me that my dog is due for this and that vaccinations, I took my dog in yesterday and specifically asked that I am only here for the vaccination, they still took me into the small room, vet came in, I knew this is not just getting vaccination, he started to touch my dog and check out her teeth, before he spoke, I told him that I am aware that a teeth cleaning is needed because you told me that less than a month ago, I've been very busy and will schedule that in the next week or so. Vet went back out to the back to grab the vaccination, came in to gave them to my dog. In the end, I was charged with the "health exam" fee of $30 again... I asked why is that health exam fee is required, since you guys already did that for my dog literally less than a month ago. Front desk lady said because the vaccination she got today is only applied once an year, so it's a requirement to also do the health exam, but other types of vaccinations are not required to pair with health exam... I asked, well you can't just skip this one because she literally just had a 10 sec health exam for $30 LESS than one month ago, she insist that it's a requirement. Don't get me wrong, I think pets should get their "health exam" at least once an year OR even twice an year, I am all up for that... OR even if she looks or behaves abnormally when visiting the clinic, please give her an exam. BUT in my situation, she just had one less than a month ago, I already know what's going on with her, she is still considered young and active, I don't see why I need another one for the cost of $30... easiest money to earned or legally robbed. I have moved up north miles away from Northgate area and should've taken my dog to a different clinic long time ago, but I decided to stick with them... but I guess it is a good time to move on. Be aware of all the "mandatory charges", and triple confirm with them before they do anything, or you will be charged.

Mark Hughes

Fair price. Short wait time.

Carlos Sanchez

I wouldn't recommend this place. They wrongly diagnosed my dog twice. If I hadn't gone to a different veterinarian I would have never known that. Plus they always quote a price and come up with extra things at the end to make the total amount increase...

Dr Zile and his friendly staff really care about the animals. I have a dog rescue and without their partnership, I could not afford to do the work. This is a family operated establishment, so it has that feeling which I have found to be rare. I have used several different vets in the Seattle and Southern CA area and this is the one I chose. You get great, compassionate care with Dr Zile and you don't leave with a huge bill.

Michael Tubbs

Don’t go here. There are better vets that are more reasonably priced.

Jf Fj

We've been clients of theirs for about 6 years. Always helpful and friendly. The doctors are knowledgeable and take time to tell us about what's happening with our cats, treatment options and outlooks. Prices are very reasonable too.

Really good care, friendly staff, my dog actually likes when I bring her here

We have taken our cat, Crackerjack, many times for a nail clipping, and boy i don't know how they can handle a 15lb cat with polydactyl paws, they are quick and the prices are great, we always take him in if anything is wrong and also for his shots. great place with great service!

Baylor Gordon

My lab is 14 and has had two emergency surgeries here in the last 3 years. These guys are great and genuinely care. Don't listen to the bad reviews....I think they are very reasonable in cost. But neither am I looking for the cheapest vet I can find. This is the first review and possibly last review I will ever submit - on anything, Just didn't think they deserved the haters. They are good people.

Carlie Phillips

The only good thing is that they are open late and have always been able to see the dogs on a walk in basis. With my dog... I made an appointment for updateing her rabies and kennel cough vaccine. I was quoted a reasonable price. When my boyfriend took our dog in they did the two shots and then pushed a bunch of unecissary stuff. Causeing the bill to be way more than what I was quoted. I know I'm not a vet but I don't think my 7lb dog needed her body to be bombarded with 8 different medications at one time. With my landlords dogs.... she took them in twice. Once because when she woke up their was blood on the bed. Alot of blood. But she couldnt figure out which dog it had come from. The vet supposedly did complete physicals on all 3 dogs. But when it was all said and done they didnt know which one it came from either. Only 2 months latter she took 1 dog in because 2 of them were very sick coughing nonstop. She spent over 600 in tests on the second visit, almost a grand between the two times, (and the vet wanted to run more tests) for them to only tell her that they didn't know why the dogs were coughing. But not once did they mention the fact that all 3 dogs were 6 months over due for their kennel cough vaccines. Or that their rabies and distemper would expire in 1 month. Once again, i know I'm not a vet but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that after running tests and ruling out heartworm and congestive heart failure if the only time the dogs have been around other dogs was when they go to a groomer and they are 6 months over due for the kennel cough vaccine THAT THE DOGS HAVE KENNEL COUGH! I only went there because they were able to see my dog on Christmas eve at 630pm as a walk in new client. Though they were nice they never seemed personal. And now it feels as if they are just trying to sell us on whatever will bring them more money. I now go back to my old vet on 83rd and Greenwood.

Matthew Chu

We saw Dr Singh for 3 of our foster dogs. Dr Singh did very through exams for all of them. Someone even called us the next day to see if they are doing good. Thank you again.

My 3-4 year old cat Mimi's had severe tooth decay. It had become very disruptive to her eating and I decided to rush her over to greenwood as a new patient. The front desk was very polite to me, even when I was 30 minutes late. The vet was extremely kind and very gentle with her. He told.me she needed some teeth extracted and the necessary costs (IV, anasthetic etc) and cost per tooth extracted. He told.me that while she was under anasthetic he would better be able to see which teeth needed extraction. He commented on how sweet my cat was which made me feel.really comfortable.with him. He had a very soothing presence also, which really helped me and probably my cat too . Several hours later they gave me the perscription and everything needed for after care. I was so relieved I got my kitty back in one day and when she got.home she seemed really happy. I think this place is really friendly, and incredibly efficient. If you are looking for kind people that are quick and gentle to your kitty, come here

Don't go to this place with your new puppy. Going over there was a huge mistake. We took our puppy for her first vaccinations and they ripped us off. We ended up vaccinating our puppy for things we should have never vaccinated her. Some of those vaccines were unnecessary. Some of them are not recommended here in the US. We paid 40 dollars for a heart warm test when our dog was a puppy and they can't see if they have that until they are 8 months or so. Terrible experience. Save yourself some money and go somewhere else like Vetco where they only charge you for the vaccines, and for other things go to Conpanion Pet Clinic. Is even cheaper and they won't fool you.

Place felt kinda dingy and there was a moderate wait for our appointment but the service he actually got seemed to suffice. Staff was fairly friendly.

Very calm and inviting. The staff were pleasant, polite and calm. This is important to me because I have an excitable dog but we managed to have a great experience. The space is small but welcoming and homey. They are extremely tidy and efficient without being cold or standoffish in the least All in all a very pleasant experience and unlike other reviewers, I found them to be forward and upfront about the costs of all services provided. Nothing unexpected came up and they verified with me on several occasions exactly what services were being provided during the visit. Duke and I will be going back :)

Dr. Zile and Dr. Tom took great care of our elderly labrador in correctly diagnosing and treating his cancer. He looks great 14 days out from surgery. Their prices are affordable, which we really appreciate. The front desk staff and vet techs are professional, personable, and friendly. Thank you!

The vet did not know how to treat my kitten and she was traumatized for a week after he manhandled her and repeatedly attempted to vaccinate her. I ended up having to hold her while he gave her dewormer. She hated her experience and it took all I had not to yell at him for being so out of touch. Isn't it his job to know how to keep the animals calm? Also, the staff kept forgetting to provide the services I requested. I had to ask them twice to give her a microchip, and they didn't even provide me with any documentation of the microchipping, beyond the sales receipt. Which had many surprise fees! Don't go here; it ends up costing more than a quality vet. Try the Seattle Animal Shelter.

So I recently got a checkup and shots at a different vet down the street- They quoted me dental prices for both my boys and I really couldn't afford those prices ( but I will do anything to ensure they are healthy ). I figured I would check other reviews for Veterinarians in the area that have good reviews and came across Greenwood Animal Hospital. I noticed on their website they had a first time special for a free office visit which would help and their dental charges were extremely affordable but I figured ok, whats the catch?? I am sure there are hidden fees!!! I called and inquired and spoke to a very nice woman who went over the charges and baseline with minus the current first time office special it was around $220 not including any teeth pulled.. She went over the fees of teeth and that seemed very reasonable, but my dog is only five and I didn't think he would have to have any teeth pulled so I figured I would be ok... Brought my little Nugget in and the Vet was great, went over everything again I was very confident but still weary of possible extra charges ( thats my nature ) So after the cleaning the clinic called me and everything was fine, no teeth pulled and everything was fine- I picked up Nugget and my bill was EXACTLY what was quoted to me- I was BEYOND THRILLED! Yes rates will probably go up in the future but the vet I saw earlier wanted to charge more than double and other friends who have had dentals have paid that amount as well.. Other patients in the waiting room were regulars very happy with their care, its a very busy clinic. I will bring my other boy back soon after I have some money saved but I am extremely happy to have found a Veterinary hospital in Seattle that cares about their customers and doesn't want to gauge them,. Seattle is expensive .. And finding a affordable, friendly vet practice is reassuring to say the least...

We have had 2 dogs who were very frequent fliers to different vets in 2 different countries. We find ourselves thrilled with the skillful, knowledgable, relaxed vets and staff at Greenwood. They are reassuring and reasonably priced.

Dr. Zile is by Far the Best Veterinarian, We have been with him now for over 8 years. He is Brilliant of how he cares for our dogs. He is a compassionate and caring Healer. We travel at least 8 miles to bring our dogs to him, its worth it to us to have the best care! I know they are in Great hands with Dr. Zile. They love seeing her which is big. He explains everything to you in a way that you can understand it and heals my dogs with ease and care. He is very reasonable and does not do unnecessary things. Sonny and Frankie come first when they have a visit and they have his full attention. He is Professional and kind. Also his staff is Great too! All we can say is Thank God for Dr Zile! A Plus!
