Dr. Sorensen goes above and beyond, you will not get better care anywhere! We've had two dogs treated by Dr. Sorensen. The first was a viszla mix who turned out to be a bit of a medical mystery - first being diagnosed with epilepsy, then severe food allergies that caused nasty rashes, then an infiltrative lipoma that not even the specialists we were referred to had seen before. Through it all, Dr. Sorensen always managed to find the cause and recommend the best course of action for our dog. She put him first always and extended his life comfortably and enjoyably beyond what any other vet thought he was capable of. She understands that your pets are your family. When we ended up at the emergency vet with him, she even came down (in the middle of the night) to ensure we were making the right decision in putting him down. She's currently treating our new puppy and she's so friendly the dog actually LIKES going to the vet! She is very open/transparent about what is required and what isn't for care, listens to all our questions and concerns, and always provides great advice. I think vet-med was definitely a calling for Dr. Sorensen, I truly can't recommend her highly enough. The front staff were also super friendly and efficient in handling our scheduling/check-out and they have a pharmacy in building for any prescriptions which is awesome! EBAH is the place to go for quality pet care!!

I cant say enough about Dr. Varallo and Dr. Moore. These are two people who truly care about the animals that come in. My cat had an emergency situation, and I was made to feel comfortable, but was given realistic options, an estimate, and great after care instructions. The whole team at Elliott Bay, even stayed late when my cat was being difficult.

My boyfriend found a hurt pigeon and was addimate about getting him help, other clinic laughed at us, Elliot Bay ooo'd and aaaw'd us, helped us find a rescue that takes exotics and birds along with the place they recommended had a pigeon sanctuary they send them on vashon island, we were literally LAUGHED at by everyone out South Seattle and west Seattle VCA laughed us away. I will never forget the kindness and compassion of the girl from Elliot Bay

Unfortunately, this clinic is all about their bottom line over your pet's health. I brought my dog in for a regular check-up in which they prescribed meds that she ended up not needing, but they were insistent that she take them. The meds made my dog very ill, didn't eat for 3 days and she lost 4 pounds. I called Elliott Bay to let them know what was occurring and they wanted me to bring my dog in for a quick check-up (exactly 1 week after the first appointment)...$143 later after paying nearly $400 for the initial visit. They charged me again for a check-up. I have honestly never been to a vet where they charge you again for their initial mistake. When I asked why I was charged again for something that could have been a simple phone call from the vet, the tech let me know that her manager would give me a call back. Almost 24 hours later I have received no call. I would not recommend this clinic to friends or family.

I really didn't like this place. The employees and doctors were great, but I found it to be expensive, and once I ended up walking out after waiting in a room with my crying dog for an hour, without seeing a dr at all. I understand they get busy, but come on, schedule appointments better. It's not good enough to be as crowded as it is.

The care here is exceptional. There are many doctors here and every one that I have seen with my dogs has been fantastic, knowledgeable and very caring. My only issue is that it can take lengthy amounts of time to get customer service on the phone and many appointments are delayed.

We found a small growth on the abdomen of our dog and called around but got an appointment only with Park Animal. The staff was good. It is obvious they love animals. Dr. Maxi was our vet; she really took the time to explain all our options, the cost etc. What really impressed me is the level of service. Our dog ended up needing surgery and the staff called the next day to make sure our dog was ok. When they forgot to send home one medication, they didn't charge us for it when we went to pick it up. Just good customer service.

I was initially happy with EBAH; however, over the last year or so I have increasingly felt that a visit to EBAH was akin to going to the mechanic-you always leave having done more than you thought was needed and therefore paying much more than you planned. They seem to have a "standard of care" that leaves very little room for flexibility. Instead of talking about options as is customary in human medical appointments, it feels as though they offer only the most thorough (e.g. expensive) option and don't mention alternatives. In addition to this growing annoyance, over the past few weeks I have been on hold for 5-10 minutes on 3-4 occasions before someone from the front desk staff picks up. I have opted to leave a message and get a call back. Personally, I think scheduling an appointment is one of the basics and shouldn't involve long wait times and phone tag. Finally, today I arrived on-time at 9:20 for my dog's scheduled appointment. At 10am, after several reassurances that the vet was just going to be "a few more minutes" I chose to leave. Waiting 40+ minutes to be seen is unacceptable. My time is valuable, I will be looking for a new veterinary clinic.

Fantastic staff. They really roll out the welcome wagon for their clients. They treated our animals well and even went so far as to note not to put us in rooms used for cats due to my allergies! I would highly recommend this establishment for the highest quality of care.

We picked this hospital based on the reviews, not knowing the area well 8 months ago. We were correct in choosing it.The Elliot Bay staff members saved our cat's life when he had a blocked bladder. They were incredibly responsive and fast on the phone. As soon as I arrived, they took him and went right to work. I've never been so thankful. This place really stepped up when we needed it most. Besides that, friendly staff, clean hospital, and sometimes even kittens to adopt.

The front desk gal, Emily, could use a serious sensitivity check. For a business who caters to animal lovers, I am surprised they would have an employee as their entry point who is condescending and oblivious to the needs of the customers. The appointment type in the system was incorrect - we were there to put down our little dog. She even asked for a fecal sample after telling her we weren't there or that type of appointment. Not going back.

I think I'm going over there for more than 5 years and they always are so kind to my kitty cat. They always have good recommendations on how to medicate and are always willing to show me how to use the devices to medicate my stubborn cat. About medications and such and they are all very kind people. Prices are very easygoing on the wallet.

Perhaps a bit out of the way, perhaps a bit pricier than other vets, but 100% worth the time, effort and money. These vets love your fur babies as much as you do, and take excellent care of them. They will even make after-hours house calls for end-of-life issues, which is wonderful for you and your fur baby (I've been there, I know). I've had other vets before and I will never leave EBAH unless I move out of state!

Even though we've moved further from Elliott Bay AH and we have a vet two blocks away, the staff and level of care the EH team offer is well worth trekking the additional distance. They can also automatically run your trupanion insurance so the discount is taken off at the register. Super convenient.

Wonderful care, from both techs and doctors. They bill trupanion (which I also recommend) directly for pet insurance in 5-15 minutes. You can keep your fur baby in the car in the parking lot if they are shy like my kitty, and they will come let you know when they're ready. Don't come here for the coffee. I mean, it's free... but it's pretty much what you'd expect free coffee from a veterinary hospital lobby to taste like.

DO NO HARM! Thats the first rule of the oath. In spite of having been informed that our dog is under the care and supervision of a highly qualified orthopedic surgeon who has rebuilt both knees, dr. Nakamura manipulated her knee to the point of "hopefully " temporary damage. Why on earth would you presume superior knowledge. How dare you interfere with another doctor's work. We told you her knee was under a surgeon's care. WTF?

Dr. Nakamura is absolutely the BEST VETERINARIAN I have ever seen for my West highland White terrier dog Mimi:)! She cares about building a good repor with pet parents and trust with your animal. I only wish I would had found her expertise care from the beginning of my dogs life. My dog is now 16 years old, I believe that Dr. Nakamura has and will continue to treat my precious Mimi's health with top tier vetrinarian medical care through Mimis golden years. The staff here is also extremely helpful, friendly! They go the extra mile for you when you have questions or need help with things regarding your precious pet. They know Mimi and I by name; and I love how they draw a smile face on her bag of meds when I pick them up. These small gestures I appreciate when your dog is ill. Five stars for the medical team at EBAH!

Over the past few months since I have been coming here I had started to feel like I've been getting overcharged. Today, I just got a price quote for a routine dental cleaning that was over double what I have ever seen, from any vet I've ever gone to. That's the final straw for me. The price gouging here is insulting and unethical. I will not go to a business that so clearly disrespects their customers.
