I brought my cat in to get put down that I have had in the family for 17 years. She got very sick and I had no choice to bring her in. When I did so, I had told them that she needed to he put down ASAP, because of the pain she seemed to be in. Instead they insisted on giving her a exam and a IV. This was very upsetting for me because the cat did not want to be moved or touched it was dealthy I'll. They then took her in the back room where they had told me to leave after I witnessed 3, yes THREE veterinarians hold her down while she was screaming and shreaking a terrible sound I will never forget. I understand what a Vet Clinic has to do in order to pit a animal down but this was INHUMANE!! I left the room and left the facility after they would not let me back. The only reason this is getting 1 star is so that I can warn future customers to not bring their animals here to get euthenized.

Veterinarian didn't spend much time with our cat, whom hadn't eaten or drank water for 3 days and was throwing up. We took him to another veterinarian and she gave him fluids and and an antibiotic and is doing better ❤️

I will NEVER take my dogs elsewhere. I've been coming here for 10 years and now make a longer drive. The doctors there are worth it. We've been there for knee injuries, huge gashes, broken toes and the sad passing of Eldritch. A large metastatic melanoma was found on his tongue while in for dental work. After some debate, Doc was able to save his tongue but only gave Eldritch two weeks. We were fortunate to have him for 11 months instead. The clinic saw that we had enough time with him as he was put to sleep. Heart-wrenching, but they were great. Lastly, I remarried to a 1st-time dog owner. He has a pure-bred and went to a local vet. I've been there a few times and it never felt right. Circumstances, she ended up at Edgewood. She got a *correct* diagnosis and treatment. She felt SO much better that evening!!! My husband had no choice but to agree that Edgewood is, in fact, a better clinic.

We take our 2 Corgis here. The staff is great and very helpful. One of our dogs get aggressive when getting examined and they are so professional and quick it really makes it easy on me as I'm apologizing the entire time and the reassure me everything is ok and not to worry about it.

Very decent Vet Clinic I have brought my 12 year old cat here several times. Teeth cleaning for her and a Lion Cut. The only thing even remotely negative I can say is - The last two times I brought her in for a Lion Cut I have asked them to dander bath her afterwards. Yet the last two times now I get her home pet her and hair flies all over the place. So I have to get a wet washcloth to wipe down all the excess hair from the Lion Cut. It reminds me of going to the barber for a haircut and them being to busy to wash my hair afterwards. Other than that perfect ; )

Took our dog here because he was always itchy and chewing his fur off. I believe it was Dr. Santiago, but not 100% sure, who insisted it was fleas. I told her at least 5 times I know for a fact he didn't have fleas and even after finding no fleas or flea dirt, still insisted it was fleas. Months later, he was still itching. Took him back and from 5 feet away she said he smelled yeasty. Sitting right next to him, I did not smell anything. Still treated him for yeast just incase I was wrong.. Well, I wasn't. A year later still dealing with a very itchy dog, finally, took him to a dermatologist to find out he has a secondary infection caused by his itching from allergies. They also tried accusing us of not getting his rabies shot when we were supposed to, however, it was not our fault. This is our first dog so we trusted them to give him the shots he needed when he needed them (rabies shots are given at 4 months when neutered) However, she knew and agreed that we were going to wait to get him neutered. Never going there again.

This clinic is phenomenal. My 8 year old kitty wasn't eating and ended up peeing blood. We took him in and found out he had kidney failure, diabetes and was dehydrated even though he had been drinking water still. The first two days he was there, it didn't look good. He wasn't responding and we planned for the worse. We had taken him in on Thursday and by Monday he was completely rehydrated, his blood sugar was back to normal and his kidneys were showing some progress. Our Dr knew we were in a financial bind, but wanted to keep bear two extra days. He then told us he was keeping him without charge to give him the best care he could and was going to keep working on his kidneys. I'm in awe at the care from this Dr and his generosity. I would recommend this place to EVERYONE. I'm so incredibly thankful, I wouldn't have my baby if it wasn't for this clinic.

I heard about this place from a recommendation of a friend. As soon as we got our little border collie puppy, we decided to take him here to get his shots. All of his checkups were very reasonably priced, and the quality of service was good. Fast forward a couple months and my now 6 month old puppy got hit by a car. We had to take him to a different 24 hour clinic nearby because it was late at night, and though the service was fine, it was soooo expensive. After that, my puppy needed regular bandage changes and checkups so we decided it was best to go to our regular vet (Edgewood). I am pleased to say that the checkups were less than HALF the cost of the other clinics, and everytime he needed a new bandage (every 5 days) they would only charge me for the replacement, and not for an office visit. They did a great job caring for my anxious and stressed out puppy, as well as saved this anxious puppy mama from what could have been a lot of bills. I am so thankful for this vet that is considerate, low cost, and has a "home-y" feel.

Great clinic everything is great except the place is a total DUMP. Everything is old no music throughout the clinic very quiet and awkward scene. Definitely needs a remodel or need to build a new clinic it’s embarrassing

I have had nothing but good empieriences with this vet clinic. The staff are always very nice and empathetic of whatever may be going on. You can tell everybody here truely loves what they do. They do seem booked quite offten so it would be nice if they expanded. Once I do have an appointment, I never find myself in the waiting room very long as they are respectful of your time and your pet's patience. Most clinincs I have been to have extremely high wait times. I feel really comfortable with this place and can rest assured taking my four legged friends here!

I live about 15 miles away, where there are other vet options, but I choose to take my dogs to Edgewood where I know they will get the best care. We've had bad vets in the past - vets whose bedside manner was lacking, or who had cat/dog preferences that were painfully obvious. This isn't one of those places. They listen to us, they care for our animals, and they clearly love what they do. It's tough to trust someone with your beloved pets, but Edgewood Vet had more than earned our trust over the last few years.

They are the kindest people I've ever met in the animal hospital field. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who needs a new vet, Ronnette will defiantly take care of you! Dr Joe is such a great guy! Explains everything and makes you feel like he's your best friend. He considers cost for his client but doesn't make you feel like you are substandard if you can't afford something. I think he must have a psychology degree as well as his veterinary degree!!!! Love you, Dr Joe!!! The front desk girls are always aware of who needs help first and somehow manage to multi-task between at least 3 clients. Maybe more when they are really busy!!

All three vets are compassionate, competent and knowledgeable about cats. They are genuinely concerned with my cats' well-being, and don't push unnecessary services. Prices are fair (cheaper actually than another local vet hospital). We were fortunate in finding this Veterinary Clinic after a terrible, expensive and ultimately useless visit to a local pet hospital in Tacoma. My male cat was having trouble urinating and crying when he did go, and a vet at the other hospital didn't want to check for crystals in his urine because she said she would have to keep him overnight just to attempt it. This would have cost hundreds of dollars, and she claimed he would probably just wet himself and couldn't guarantee success in even getting a sample. At the time I bought a few cans of food and antibiotics, but soon needed to take him back in. This sort of problem in male cats can be fatal if not monitored and treated. This time I took him to Edgewood and Dr. Ann was able to get a sample and diagnose him in under an hour, and though he will be on prescription food the rest of his life, he is doing much better and recently his results (from Dr. Vicky's quick testing) came back with the crystals cleared up. Close to the same time, my other cat started acting odd and hiding under the bed, and screamed when I picked her up. Dr. Joe was able to promptly diagnose her with arthritis in one hip and a thrown-out back. Both my cats are doing much better. The prices are much more reasonable. A follow up for my male cat was $55 including the urine testing. Dr. Ann, Dr.Joe and Dr.Vicky are fantastic as well as the rest of the staff and I completely trust their judgement and feel confident with any of the vet's care if/when I need to bring my cats back. Thank you!

I usually go to a vet in Puyallup; this vet has good ratings and was closer to the house, so I figured to give it a try. The clinic smells bad and they charged $53 for examination when other vet does not. Also, it was odd that the vet doesn't treat in the exam room; she had me put my cat back in the carrier and took it to the back room just to get rabies shot and deworm.
