I'd give them 10 stars if I could. They rushed our 3 month old puppy in who was having some sort of reaction to vaccines from another vet (that I've ben going to for years). The vet assistant was very detailed in getting all symptoms. The vet came in and completely checked him out and explained everything in clear detail so we understood fully what was going on...an allergic reaction as well as his diet. The front desk girl was extremely friendly too. Price wasn't too bad either. We are actually considering switching to this vet now. We had a great experience.

Dr. Zakos is wonderful. We found this place 7 years ago when we first moved here from Colorado. The staff are always friendly, though sometimes appointments are overbooked.

Our 17 year old cat was suffering and we took him there to be euthanized, the staff and Dr were so compassionate and understanding. We cried like babies, while Jr passed gently onto the Lords green grasses. There was so much love showed for Jr, with gentle petting and soft voices and kisses on Jr's head. Thank you all for the dignity, and love shown for our beloved cat Jr. He is missed already, everyone loved him. Thank you all for giving your hearts in our time of loss. Morris Family.

Very very helpful. Unfortunately had to take my dog during emergency hours because he was in so much pain and I couldn't stand find being miserable anymore. The veterinarian said there was a very good chance my 6 year old Chihuahua/terror mix had neurological problems. They provided me with a couple of options, told me prices, and told me to think about it. I sadly brought my dog in the next day to put him down. They were VERY comforting, explained the whole process, and even let me hold my baby 1 last time. I was charged $234 to put him down, get his ashes in a box I got to choose, a lock of hair, and a paw print. It arrived exactly a week after he left the world, I couldn't of been more thankful for this emergency veterinary hospital during this time.

This place is an ABSOLUTE JOKE! The employees lack of the knowledge and lack of compassion makes me SICK. Please if you love your animal do NOT bring them to these scam artists. This place should be shut down.

I've only been going here for 1 year since getting our cat. Yesterday, I went in for my kittens second dose of feline leukemia vaccine. I was told after the first dose to come back in a couple weeks for the second. So they scheduled me the appointment. When the tech came out, they said it's only been two weeks and it would work best after 4 weeks. A huge waste of my time. That was the LAST straw. They have done nothing but but waste my time and money with bad advice. Bad advice about flea treatments and diet. I get lectured about the outcome of said advice and they don't seem to believe me when I say I got the advice from the doctors there! I've never once seen the same person here either. Spent needless money on tapeworm meds and flea medications, wasted my time on appointment that should not have been made, and zero apology. I'm going to see if another hospital will continue second dose of vaccine before giving this place another dime.

My brother took his dog here a couple nights ago. She was in labor but the puppies were coming 5 hours apart with a lot of blackish blood coming out of her while she could barely move. When they got there, she gave birth the 3rd puppy so Diamond sent them all home to "start the process over". When they got home, her 2nd uterus broke and the last 5 puppies died. They took her to Pilchuck who had to do 2 surgeries. One to take out the dead puppies and another to take out both uteruses and clean for infection. She is on antibiotics and pain meds so she can not feed her puppies and she has an IV bag attached to her. As far as I am concerned, Diamond killed her 5 puppies and almost killed her. Luckily Pilchuck acted fast enough to save her life. My brother and family are devastated and I am at a loss as to how a veterinary clinic could act like this.

My family has used Diamond Vet since the 1980s and spent A TON of money there. 2 of our 3 dogs are at the end of their life. When I brought my Boston in and found out he was terminally ill with a week to live I was charged over $800 to be told my dog is going to die. Instead of going to the test that was needed they followed the typical "insurance process" of a series of tests to prove the next test is needed. Because I was paying cash this approach was not necessary and was VERY expensive. Left with my dog not sure if he'd live a week or a month. Called and emailed asking for some support (after paying them $800) and didn't receive a call back! They don't even know my dog is dead. They still email blast asking for more services. Meanwhile my parents called about their dog 1 week ago and still haven't had a call back. This vet clinic has become only about money and their service isn't what it once was. Fine another vet!

Clean facility, professional, caring, and knowledgeable staff and vets. Highly recommended!

Wonderful caring people that took the sweetest care of my 19 year old cat and calmed me down too!

They are awesome staff my fur baby was very sick and they helped her that she is with us still today.. They are a loving caring clinic. Nothing is too much to handle and when further need is required they were there to assist us to the next step of treatment. Thanks for caring.

We couldn't find anywhere that could take my sick cat in anywhere until we heard about this place . We got to go in today and the assistance was awesome . Everyone was nice and they took very good care of my cat you should go there because they take very good care of animals

Very reliable when your love is in need!

I took my cat to Diamond today. They remodeled the office and prices went up. I came without an appointment on Friday at 3pm. They charged me a fee as an emergency $105 and to stretch the cut on my cat shoulder (only skin was cut) $1000. I payed $105 and went to another clinic.

Great. I brought my cat for her vaccines. I let them know I was considering going to a discount clinic for spaying. They were kind and supportive and had good things to say about the other clinic.I appreciate that they supported my decision, and still remained helpful. I will take her back when we have other veterinary needs.

Our experience with Diamond Veterinary Hospital was during the very sad and horrible experience of saying goodbye to our beloved friend, George. Dr. Schmidtke diagnosed George quickly after another vet failed to determine a diagnosis. George received excellent care from Dr. Schmidtke and from Amanda and Annie. We can’t thank them enough for helping us during such a difficult time.

I had to take my dog to the emergency room this morning. I went to Diamond and oh my gosh they were all so Amazing. The front desk ladies were kind and calm. They let me bring my skiddish girl in the side door so she didn't get even more skiddish. The Vet tech was absolutely a sweet lady who obviously cares about other people's pet like she would her own. And Dr. Zakos was so thorough and listened to everything I had to say. Of course, since it is a Saturday it was Emergency. But I didn't have to pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars. With the emergency room exam and meds it was just over $200 which is so amazing. Only place I will EVER be taking my pets too. Thank you again Diamond Staff for making a stressful situation smooth and comfortable for me and my girl!

I thought I had found a great place for my ailing kitty, that was until he needed after care. The day after our emergancy ($300+) visit, our kitty was still in pain and his condition was not improving. My husband drove to the office to request something, ANYTHING to help out our lil guy. He was told since we used the emergancy service (and the intake nurse listed a one-time-used vet as our primary) we would need to schedule a "new patient" appointment. This appointment would be another fee, not including the medication, if perscribed. Shame on Diamond for caring more about money instead of the well being of their patients and us. I do not reccomend using their services, unless money is not an issue for you, in which case you are one of the lucky few.

We recently had to put our family dog, Leah, to sleep, and we ended up going to Diamond Vet Hospital because our usual vet was closed. Everyone there, from the people at the front desk to the nurses and doctors, were tremendously supportive in our time of grief- they assured us that we were making the right decision; they supplied us with bags of dog treats for Leah's last living moments; they even offered hugs! Their thoughtfulness even extended days later when we received a condolence letter from them. In the end, we are glad that our last moments with Leah took place in such a comforting environment.

Love the staff, and love knowing that in the case of an emergency, I'm bringing my pets someplace familiar.

I had to take my fur baby max in for an injury. Everyone was very kind and attentive. They seemed to be as concerned for him as I was. Very nice people.

Took my puppy there for throwing up and blood in stool. Was told even though they did not run any tests that she did not have Parvo...but she has an upset stomach. Charged me $326 for that info. 3 Days later my puppy died from Parvo. Horrible Place no empathy. No knowledge about animal sickness whatsoever. Please DO NOT bring your animal here.

Ok I want her after my baby got attacked by a pitbull my girl needed emergence surgery on her eye this vet told me my girl will need to have her eye removed and the bill would be over $1197.34 and that was only choice I did not have it and they did not care and would not help my dog but and charged me $127.66 for nothing the so I want to my girls vet in north Seattle and he checked my girl told me yes she dose need surgery but he thinks he can save her eye and the cost would only be $618.50 I asked my vet why the price was 50 percent less then last vet he took a look at the things the vet was charging me and told me not only was he charging me there were things he was charging me 2x for stuff just used other name for it this vet is a scam don't every go there they charge also for stuff that should be included in the surgery but the charge for it scam scam they don't care about your animal they just use your sadness to cash in worst people IV ever meet!!!!!!!!

Almost cost my cat his life. I took my male cat there as an emergency, he was suffering from a bladder blockage which I knew was a critical situation. They treated him and said he was ready to go home. When I picked him up, he did not look right so I drove down to Lynnwood to the VCA Specialty Center emergency clinic. They did an exam and found that he was completely blocked and if I had taken him home, he could have died. They did emergency surgery and saved his life. I will never trust or go to Diamond for any reason.

Michael Minnich

This is our sweet baby Luke. I feel in love on this day! We have taken ALL our dogs to Diamond Veterinary Clinic since 1982! Wouldn't go anyplace else. Trusted, dependable, caring staff.

Cynthia Martinez

Worst Veterinarians ever. Nobody knows what they are doing.

kush cookie

Good for an emergency vet vists but other wise it seems they don't really care. Took my cat in because I was fairly certain that she pyomerta ( a potentially fatal infection of the uterus ) the doc gave her an extremely quick once over and told me to spay my cat and then bring her back. Over the next two days since the visit she fell very I'll took her to advanced care vet and what do you know she had pyomerta. I do not reccomed this place to any one even my worst enemy.

Brian Greenlund

Early this morning my cat was having problems breathing. I took her in and the news wasn't good. I had to let her go. However, the Doctor and the Vet Tech were absolutely amazing. Making that kind of decision is never easy but they were both so kind and compassionate with me and Pickles. I really cannot say enough good things about them. Thank you.

Linda Nordeen

My friend and I found a precious little tabby that had hit by a car. The poor little things face, eyes, nose and mouth were dripping with blood and bearily breathing. It was so incredibly upsetting... we rushed it to Diamond Veterinarian hospital. The staff was so kind, friendly and considerate. It looks like the kitty is gonna pull through. Thank you so much Diamond hospital staff!! Your the best!!

Not happy at all. My dog had diarrhea for the 3rd day so I took him in to see the doctor on Sunday. They charged $110 for the "exam", wich consisted of listening to his heart, (10 seconds) feeling his belly, (5 seconds) and then telling me that he could have pancreatitis and other worst case scenario's. Followed by a estimate of just short of $1400 in diagnostics. I reduced the estimate to have them give him fluids and took the medication for diarrhea and anti biotic. Also, I brought in a fecal sample that I wanted them to check. They said they would get back to me with the results on Monday. Paid $355. Today is Wednesday, Max feels great again. I didn't hear from the clinic though, so I called them to see what the results of the fecal test was and was told that it was never sent out and I wasn't charged for it. Well wth? I'm not planing on going back there and for anyone who is planing on going, be aware that they like to scare you for your pet, so they can stick you with unnecessary diagnostics.

When my Greyhound received an unexpected injury at a late hour, the Diamond Vet clinic and Dr. Stroh were there for us. The injury was probably at the intermediate level of seriousness but did need to get treated right away. And after 3 hour procedure, we had our dog back to us in great health. After some healing time, he's been back to his old self. I was worried about my dog, being a Greyhound, having to go under for a little bit, but his injury understandably could only be treated that way. One thing that I want to address from all these other reviews complaining about price. I've seen this complaint as common at almost all vet review pages, so I don't think much of it. But I wanted to especially point out that the Diamond Vet Clinic is open 24 hours a day. A regular Mon-Fri business has expenses that they need to cover, and that will determine their pricing - but Diamond is open 24/7, so their expenses may be higher, and I would imagine more so at odd hours. I had no issue with the price we paid to heal our pet. Of course you always want lower prices, and perhaps it would have been at a regular clinic during regular hours, but you're going to pay a premium for quality 24/7 care. It's a business. That all being said, both my dog Odo and I are very grateful that Diamond is nearby and open 24/7. Thanks Dr. Stroh and the Diamond Vet team!

Paul Allen

We have Always had a Great experience at Diamond and more importantly, our Animals are Very Happy with Their care too! We were previously with another veterinarian many years ago and were with him/them for over 12 years. When he retired, we already knew where we were switching to and that choice was Very Clear...Diamond Veterinary Associates, all the way!!! Thank you All for a Great experience Every Time! Sincerely, Paul & Shannon Allen

Andrea Kloiber

I cannot express how grateful I am to have a trusted team that listens, accurately diagnoses. and provides treatment options vs throwing general meds at an issue to see if one “works”. Before Diamond my trust in veterinary services was very low due to multiple unfortunate experiences. I wouldn’t trade Dr Hanna’s quality of care and support for anything! I tell EVERYONE to take their fur babies to Diamond.

Kirsten Brinkman

Amazing and compassionate care during very difficult and frightening times

Alison Simons

Tonight I took in my lil old man, chihuahua. He had a tick on his eyelid. I was completely freaked out. The two girls that were working tonight were awesome.total shout out to them.

Tanya Bacon

The staff here have compassionately cared for several of my cats and comforted me when they passed away. In my experience, I highly recommend them.

Tonya Ferrari

I took my beloved cat here years ago for an emergency. He had crystals in his urine and was bleeding. I was very emotionally distraught about his condition when I came in on a Saturday night when my vet was closed. The tech came in to tell me they would keep my cat to treat him overnight. She said it was $1000. I asked if there was any payment options available and I will never forget what she told me... "Ma'am, we are not a lending institution so unless you'd like to discuss the disposal of your cat then that will be $1000 today." Gasp! Never again! Horrible customer care.

Jamie Berglund

Thank you to all the vets and staff who work so hard to care for our animals. I took my Bassett hound here, then my cocker mix and now my baby Bassett puppy. It is expensive to me, but comparable prices to other places locally. I believe that my animals are well cared for here, and to me that's worth the price.

Michelle Watson

the vet and staff have been very loving and caring. Dr. Zastrow took her time with my baby girl and has been great.

Michael Ipsen

They did a good job putting my old dog down. I think that is about all they are good at though. They are severely overpriced as well. I will not be bringing my pets here any longer. There are MUCH better places out there. I think they only get business due to their location.

Sherry Meww

Terrible service. Vet treated us like we were horrible pet owners. Very over priced. Only good thing about them is a few of the assistance were nice. I do not recommend coming here unless you can make a lot of money. Very rude when we asked if they had payment plans.

Shelby Walling

Amazing place. My dog got hit 4 years ago and they where very kind and caring people. They didn't rush me and cared about my dog and even me when I was mess. The operation he needed ended up being cheaper than i thought and even after it they helped me figure out best way to get him take him medication. All the staff remembered my dog name when we went back for check up. They where full of love and support.

Great Experience! The providers and staff members are outstanding and caring. Had to take my dog in for an after regular vet hours emergency. I was so nervous and frantic. They were gentle and caring. My dog was hospitalized for two days. I was allowed to call to check on her as much as I wanted and at any hour of the day. The doctors called me every morning for updates. I was even able to stop by for a visit. I was comfortable leaving her there. Thank you Diamond Hospital Staff for the care provided to our baby girl.

We went to the Lynnwood ER , the wait was over 2 hours . We check diamond ER in Everett , there was no wait , we saw skillful nice Doctor and staff , after she treated our dog it overall took us one hour for the whole visit , strongly recommend to everyone .

We called and they didn't accept a wild bunny that was DYING

Do yourself a favor and never take any animal to this place. I'm sure its great if you are taking your animal in to get shots or anything routine, of course you will be paying max dollar. I didn't have a problem until they preformed the wrong surgery on my english bulldog. We asked them to remove his cherry eye, which is routine. They said they performed the surgery and then 3 WEEKS later it came back (there are multiple surgery's for cherry eye; removal, tacking down, etc). We specifically asked for it to be removed, because he had it done in his other eye. When it came back, unexpectedly, I called to ask what could have happened. Then the informed me that they performed the tacking down of his cherry eye rather than the removal, furthermore, they don't even perform the removal surgery. They actually wanted me to come back in and pay for another tacking down of his cherry eye. I politely asked to talk to the head manager, who happened to not be in the office. I have left messages and sent emails multiple times over the course of the last few weeks. Of course I got no response. So, I had to go to another vet to get the removal which cost $400. Diamond Vet charged me DOUBLE that for the wrong surgery. BE VERY CAUTIOUS and If you see this Diamond Vet, please contact me as soon as possible. Thanks!

My dog had a bad tooth (so I thought) I took her to the Low cost vet over by Hobby Lobby and they wanted to pull the tooth even before taking xrays $1200. I took my dog to Diamond and Dr. Hanna, did xrays, cleaning and other stuff all for well under the $1200 the 1st vet wanted. Diamond is way better and CHEAPER then the VCA in Silver Lake or the Low cost vet. I like this place, so far and I have the same Dr. Hanna for all my dog's vet needs. I haven't had a bad experience with Diamonds, so I cannot sad bad things. They seem good so far.

Always quick to get me and my pup into a room. The vet and assistant were warm and welcoming, and treated my pup as if she was their own.

Kyle Roscoe

Brought in a couple of kittens with a cold at about 5AM. I wish I could remember the woman’s name, but she was super nice, and very very helpful. Talked to us about pricing and the difference between “emergency” and regular. She took a quick look at the kittens and assured us that they will be fine until we can get them in for a regular appointment. So to whoever was working the early morning shift on 9/10/19, thank you. We are very confident that Diamond will be our kittens regular Vet due to your service. Thana and Hyp say thank you as well!

Nikky wyeth

This place is outrageously expensive, they not only took blood test on my dog that should have been check out for samples of her gums, bumm and look inside her poop going by her symptoms. But instead they put me into debt, when asking for a refund they told me they cant do anything and that my dog is fine as she was pooping blood.. Please take my word as a animal lover and dont support this vet unless your will to pay until your broke!!

Amber Pelland

I will never go here again I brought my cat here with a urinary issue and after waiting for 2 hours and having them let other walk ins ahead of me I asked if I could make an appointment and take him to a regular vet the next day and they said they did not recommend that and my cats issue could be really serious so I stayed and waited and when we finally went back his bladder wasn’t full enough to do the $80 urinalysis so they tried to guilt me in to paying for a bunch of unnecessary expensive testing that they quoted me $1,000 for and when I wasn’t willling to do that they just sent us home and did absolutely nothing to help my cat even though they told me how serious the issue could be and were so sure of what the problem was that they gave me pamphlets about it so again I feel like it was just scare tactics to get my money and not have it go somewhere else it was a complete waste of time and money the next day I took him to the kindness animal clinic in Monroe and they were so amazing and helpful and baffled at how diamond vet treated my cat and the things they suggested he needed thank goodness for the lovely people at kindness animal clinic they were the best and thanks to them my cat is doing wonderful and back to living his best life but I would seriously not recommend taking your animal to diamond unless you want to give an excessive amount of money to people who don’t seem to care about animals and literally just want to make as much money from you as possible

Tina Foster

We brought my 11 year old min pin in as she wa sa having trouble breathing and not long after we came in she stopped breathing, and sadly passed away. The staff was exceptional in my opinion. They were kind helpful and genuinely caring. Thank you all so so much. For caring about my baby. Tina Foster

Emily Dreher

THEY ARE NOT AN EMERGENCY VET!!!!!! I took my baby here and they couldn't do anything. The vet tech was rude and unhelpful. If you have an emergency go to pilchuck hospital in snohomish

Shawna Peterson

We took our lab in for an emergency visit. Everyone was so calm and made the experience feel less scary. Unfortunately our pup had cancer and was suffering and the final result was having to put him to sleep, they were so compassionate and helped guide us on this terrible journey. We really appreciated them in our time of loss. A special thanks to Kendra and Dr Longoni for taking such good care of our Django pup in his last hours.

Raymond Mehaffey

My fiance and I found 2 stray dogs and they took them in. Very kind, very reassuring that the dogs will be groomed and taken care of.

Wendy Hawes

I called them this morning because our cat was sick and told them that im disable and dont have much money and was told that i could apply for credit and i was denied and they said sorry we cant see him they refused to see him a my child suffers from depression and his pet who is family is very upset and is scared we are keeping an eye on him and was told want we can do at home by another vet who talked to me over the phone about home care for him i thought vets care about animals and that if that cant pay then there should be some other way to make payments they should not have denied to see him i will not give these people a call again they dont care

Monica Hivick

Nice new facilities, friendly staff. Been here several times.

Dan Pronovost

Excellent job! Thank you for taking such great care of my cat!

rebecca cadden

This hospital should be shut down. I brought my cat in on an emergency because he seemed constipated. The Dr was so rough with my cat that she stated he is in obvious pain. They did an x-ray and said they saw an obstruction and needed to do surgery, but, I needed to come back in 24 hrs once the real radiologist saw it. I apparently was going to have to leave my cat there. They left my cat by himself in a separate room for 30 mins with him crying. The tech came in with a quote for over 1000.00 dollars. I said I don’t have a good feeling about this and I demanded my cat and the X-ray and went down to his real vet first thing the next morning. Turned out they had the wrong X-ray and once a new X-ray was taken he just had gas. These people literally were going to do surgery on my cat for no reason. Please do not take your animal to this vet.

Marshall Kemper

I'd give this place a zero star rating if i could. Rediculously expensive.

BillandSharron Townsend

Always great care, attention to the smallest details & thorough explanation of suggested treatment. Aspen is a happy girl on every visit! Staff members are obviously true animal lovers!!!!!

milo963

Diamond was the only vet available when my beloved 15YO cat woke me up at midnight in obvious agony. They quickly diagnosed and empathetically told me it was time for her to go. Thank you for being there.

Eugenia Collins

It seemed that they only wanted to keep my cat hospitalized to make money. They were not compassionate at all. Glad I did not leave my pet there.

Rose's Mother

Been going to Diamond Vet for over 20 years and I think of them as family. Everyone there works so hard to keep the pets healthy and happy and they treat my furkids like their own. The doctors are kind and loving and so are the nurses. I can't thank them enough for the late night phone calls and easing my worries. Thank you for providing the best care day or night!

Bonnie Hertzog

I had an emergency with my cat and brought him in even though I'd never been to the clinic before. We were seen in very short order and Edgar was handled very gently and with much care. I did end up spending quite a bit for his hospitalization but each step of the way I was given quotes and options so I knew what I was working with. When things were looking very bleak I asked for honesty and they were willing to tell me that if he didn't turn a corner within the next 24 hours it would be best to let him go rather than spend a lot of money and letting him suffer at all. Praise the Lord, he turned that corner and is healing well. We had a couple of follow up visits and both doctors I saw were kind and very conscious of costs and I would highly recommend Diamond Vet Hospital and Clinic. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my little boy!

Brandy Wetzel

Thank you to everyone at Diamond who helped us today! Been taking my cats to this vet for quite a few years & always receive the best care. Dr. Zastrow is amazing & I wouldn't think of taking my cat to anyone else. I think Katie was the name of the tech who helped us today & she was great. Gals at front desk are always super nice & helpful too. I'm greatful to all of them for the terrific job they do! I've seen some reviews complaining this vet is too expensive/overpriced, but they are more than reasonable in my opinion.

Jessica T.

Horrible service. The woman who answered the phone (Samantha) was extremely rude and cut me off when I tried to ask if they cared for pigeons (they don’t). Definitelt do not recommend.

R McKinney

Took my dog in when I noticed she got ahold of an ibuprofen bottle, when i first called them they wanted me to contact Posion control before even coming in, which wouldn't have helped considering I didn't know when she took the medicine, so I brought her in and they were very unfriendly towards myself and my dog, and were not very comforting. They didn't explain their plans very well and wanted to keep her for 24 hours and wanted me to pay 1600 out of pocket! When I told them I don't have that kind of money the tech responded, "how much do you have?" Walked out of there with a lowered bill of 400 very upsetting and I've told everyone I know locally not to bring their pets here.

Samira Maljanovic

I genuinely thought the employees here were sincere and kind, however I never got a answer for what was wrong with my puppy (the parvo test came back negative, which is inconclusive at best) but that's where they stoped trying to figure out what was wrong with him and suggested I take him to a vet if he continues to show symptoms. For paying 200 dollars for a visit that gave me no answers, is outrageous.

Kymm Shipman

I've entrusted my pets with Diamond Vet Hosp for many, many years. There have been times when I have been frustrated because of the long wait times due to a current emergency and felt the communication could have been better. However, in recent visits it has not been a problem. I have ALWAYS been happy with the veterinarians and the care my pets have received. We have needed them for injuries, routine care, and surgeries. I have been very pleased with them all. The care my pets received has been top notch! They understand our pets are our babies. I understand why you have to pay up front. Sadly, many people do not pay vet offices in a timely manner.

Irene Rodriguez

This place is horrible. Took my dog there to have a needed surgery and was quoted close to $2,000.00. The vet barely looked her over walked out then had a girl come in with the quote who then quickly left the room (knowing it was ridiculous) I immediately got up to leave and was stopped to make a payment of $105 for basically nothing. Took her the next day to a different much more caring place who charged $685 for both the surgery AND have her spayed. Will never recommend this place ever.

James Paulsen

Worst Animal hospital ever! My dog came in with bleeding out of her eye. Waited 4 hours to be referred to an ophthalmologist. We took her to a real animal hospital and her blood pressure was over 300. Diamond vets advice could have lead to death!!!! They never took her blood pressure!

brenna baker

Overpriced. Unskilled. Rude. I will be going to Lynnwood for any future emergency! They were busy working on another surgery when we arrived, but we still ended up being there for 4 hours. What I thought was a UTI eneded up being inflammation in his bladder. The nurse talked to me like I was stupid for not understanding how their "quote list" went and their vet practices. The receptionist was nice to us, but was clearly complaining with another tech about other customers in front of us. They explained that they were going to do all of these tests, but didn't really say they were going to fix my cat. In the end, they couldn't find any urine in his bladder to test? But found a possible mass. So in the end. We sat there for hours and spent over $500 for anti-inflammatory medicine and advise to get an ultrasound on his bladder. The kicker is that they made us take home a urine sample kit, but were planning on charging us the initial $105 rate, just to walk in the door... Again.. on top of the price of the testing and take home kit. ...which they required from the previous visit. Why can't they just charge the testing? I'm just dropping off a tube of urine. So, I paid $100 for them NOT to be able to test my cats urine on the original visit, then they wanted me to pay all that again the very next day? Absolutely. Not. This place is a scam.

Horrible service, was turned away late at night because the veterinarian didn't feel "comfortable" doing a payment plan for my dogs emergency. Would never recommend them even though they Were highly recommended

We don't have them as our regular vet but they are open 24 hours and more then once we have had to go there in an emergency. Our regular vet is an hour away so from time to time we have just brought them for urgent things. We had to have one of our dogs euthanized and they handled it very kindly. One of our dogs was diagnosed with Insipidus Diabetes and has to be on meds and they have helped us with that. The vets are great about calling and discussing test results with you. All in all we have had nothing but good results with them. We have considered making them our regular vet.

Great vets here and they won't over charge.

If you love your pet, go elsewhere. Demand thousands up front without identifying costs, refuse and lie about diagnostic testing...will keep your pet alive long enough to use up all fees paid...regardless of pets pain or hope of survival. Both business practice and veterinary practice needs to be investigated.

Went to the emergency vet because my big dog hurt my little one. I ran my little guy to this vet because it was close to my vets closing time. I went there and was treated in a very unprofessional manner. I was taken back and then they, almost immediately, took my pupper to another room, away from me to be examined. I thought that was strange, until the vet came in and asked if I knew what happened. I explained what I thought happened (little guy went for big guy's food while I was in the restroom and got hurt for it). The vet explained what she had already done, without asking or giving an estimate, and left. A bit later another vet staff came in to ask the same questions. Now, I'm a civil investigator, I work with law enforcement and CPS, I know what they were doing. They were seeing if my story was consistent. I am incredibly insulted that they thought I was hurting my animals. To make matters worse the vet did all of the treatment without consulting me and did things I would not have consented to if I had been (he's two years old, he doesn't need a glaucoma test). They brought in the over inflated estimate, I explained that the vet told me she had already done the things on the estimate, so what's the point in asking permission and the staff shrugged it off. To top it all off they charged me for an e-collar that was too small and even told me they were out of the correct size. I am not happy with this place and I will never bring any of my animals here in the future. Avoid if you can.

This place doesn't even deserve a ONE STAR. They only care about charging you and don't even allow a payment plan. Be ready to fork out $500 just to receive NO answer and NO treatment for you poor fur baby. I ended up going somewhere else and the other Dr's. We're shocked and told me the Dr. There didn't have any knowledge or right to handle the situation the way she did. Please do not take your fur babies here for life threatening emergencies. Just go the extra mile I promise it's worth it.

waited for 2 hours while paying for emergency service. $211.00 For a few pills but did nothing for his wounded foot. Wanted over $1000.00 to take care of that. Too damn much, I'll have to take care of it myself. Nice folks but too expensive.

Our experience with Diamond and our two 3 y/o Boxers has been nothing short of superb. Maybe in-part this due to the fact our last vet was a bit crass and felt money grubbing, but mostly because they're are caring, professional and always offered care options with our tight budget in mind. Also, in respect to those who complain about the price, if you're NOT prepared to drop 2-3 hundred on your dog in a moments notice, then you shouldn't have one, in other words, like with all kids and pets "stuff happens".

We took our senior kitty here in the afternoon as he was in Pain and it looked like he was constipated. It took 21/2 hours to see a vet because they had another emergency they were working on.another vet showed up did her exam and took him back for X-rays .before we had any idea what was involved they brought in a estimate of $1,500. The vet posted the X-ray on the screen and was curious about what looked like a mass in the stomach, i said " could it be food? Answer was no food sits on the bottom of stomach and we might think of taking him to the emergency vet in lynnwood. She sent the X-ray to a radiologist ($450) and after waiting another hour or so guess what... FOOD in the stomach.Turns out our much loved cat had a UTI (urinary tract infection) they kept him overnight for sub cue fluids another $100 or so. I recommend to never go here. The new vet I found couldn't believe what they charged and i have talked to two people who previously worked there and they advised me never to go there EVER.I am a senior and love my pets so much so their care is very important to me and above all else I feel like I was really taken advantage of.Oh yeah and they charged me for emergency visit even tho we waited 21/2 hrs.to see a vet

We've taken our two boxers to Diamond Vet for more than 10 years now. We've primarily seen Doctor Zastrow who is a gem, knowledgeable, friendly and caring. She's treated our dogs through routine care to illnesses, disease and end of life. We've also seen Dr. Zakos and Dr. Hanna and felt in good hands at all times. We were referred to VCA Specialty center in Lynnwood for a bad bout of IMHA and appreciated the referral and that Diamond didn't try to treat something they weren't equipped for. I feel the prices have been reasonable, including for emergency visits, but it's worth shopping around for specific procedures I suppose if you have the time. I believe some dental work my boxer needed was going to be cheaper elsewhere, but in general haven't felt the fees were unusual.

Please, save yourself and your pet, and do not EVER let these people treat, or perform any routine examinations on your beloved animals. Before my mini Aussie puppy received all of his parvo vaccinations, he unfortunately contracted the virus and got very sick very quickly. I made the mistake of taking him to Diamon Veterinary Clinic, where he tested positive for the virus, and the vet tech that performed the fecal test was nothing short of cold, cruel, short, and lacked any advice aside from euthanasia. She told me he had only a 20% chance of surviving even IF I chose to admit him for $1000 a day (and said it may take WEEKS!) But she didn't give him any medications, she didn't give him any IV antibiotics, fluids, anti-nausea...she did nothing. She recommended nothing. She went so far as to make me feel guilty for choosing to take my dog home with me instead of leaving him there to be put to sleep! I was devastated, I took my puppy to Value Vet, and I believe the staff there saved my little guys life, and I'm happy to say he's alive and well today. No thanks to the awful vet tech (blonde, early twenties, mean as they come) that I had he misfortune of meeting that night. I didn't even get to see or speak to an actual veterinarian either, which I found pretty sad, considering how much more they charged me than Value Vet charged me for going above and beyond the call of duty. Please, do not let these people talk you into cutting your furry friends life short when it doesn't have to be.

I have waited 6 days to provide this review to wait and ensure I felt the same as I did the day I walked out of Diamond Veterinary Hospital. It’s unfortunate that I do continue to feel strongly. My 12 Year old Saint Bernard Savannah passed away in her sleep on Saturday, July 8th. As my Vet’s office was closed for the weekend, we took her to Diamond. They provided pricing for her to be privately cremated ($276), and they advised it would be “7-10 Business days” and they would call us as soon as the ashes had arrived. As can be imagined, losing your best friend of 12 years, not matter how old, is devastating. Our home was empty. It was quiet. We were waiting to have her back somewhat in our presence as soon as possible. But there was no call. I finally called them on Thursday afternoon, July 20th. The girl that answered the phone let me know that Savannah had been there since Monday, and she responded “I don’t know why someone didn’t call [me].” I advised I would be there in a few hours to pick to her up. I arrived and a young girl in purple scrubs assisted me. I said, “Do you know why I wasn’t called when she came in? She just shrugged her shoulders, and went and got the box, and said “Here you go.” I said, “I’ve got to say, this is very disappointing that I wasn’t called when she came in. We paid almost $300 to have her privately cremated.” I had tears in my eyes as I said this just thinking about it. She said, rather flippantly, “Well, it’s a good thing you called. It looks like the person assigned to that got sidetracked and never finished the list.” I responded with “It doesn’t seem like you are very sorry, or apologetic. This is my family.” Her response was to shrug her shoulders, wrinkle up her nose, roll her eyes, and say, “I’m sorry?” What appeared to be an office manager looked on from another opening, but she said nothing, and only looked up towards the ceiling. I was shocked at the callousness of the employee and her treatment considering the circumstances and the environment. I just can’t imagine someone acting like this in a 24-Hour emergency veterinary hospital. Not only with me, but potentially several other customers awaiting their pets ashes? I would think (no facts to back this up) that at least 25% of pets taken to an emergency hospital don’t make it back home. I’m sure each trained veterinarian is excellent at their job and does whatever they can to save each animal. But what about the animals that aren’t saved? Or the people in the waiting room awaiting word on their family member? Is this how they are treated? Like their pet – that we are all spending A LOT of money on - aren’t really worth their care. I would never subject anyone going through the anguish I did with the flippancy that I experienced. Going over the situation and her response, I tried to make an excuse for her. Maybe she had a bad day. But anyone with customer service experience knows to just apologize profusely for the error – that’s all we need as we grieve. My best friend sat on a shelf by herself waiting for me to pick her up. And it certainly sounds like nobody cared – Not the flippant purple scrubs employee, the MIA employee that was supposed to call me, nor the woman that appeared to be the Office Manager. How can I take a pet there in the future if I don’t think they really care? It’s a terrible image for a business that should be in the business of caring. In the big picture, this small to the average person, but to me, it’s an indicator of a much bigger problem. Lack of caring in situations such as this does not provide me with any trust in this business. And they will no longer have mine or that of my friends.

Long story short: if we had followed the advice given us here (which we paid about $500 to receive) our kitty would either be unable to feed her kittens and recovering from surgery or DEAD right now. And we would be bottle feeding kittens around the clock. Our cat and kittens are doing fine after going AGAINST their advice. I wish I could write 10 1-star reviews. After our experience (which I will recount shortly), when telling our friends about it, a very common thing to hear was "oh, NOT Diamond!" This is the worst possible place to take your animal . It has the lowest rating out of any vet in the area. Our cat had kittens the other day, and after they were born the momma was panting quite a bit. My mom called in here, to see if this was normal or not, or if she should be concerned. Their immediate response was to say "Bring them in". So my mom and sisters took them, momma and newborn kittens on the 45 minute drive to this place. Keep in mind it was after 10 pm, so there weren't many options. Once they got there, they were stuck in a room by themselves and the cats were taken back and subjected to different tests that were adding up quickly in price. The cats were NOT in the room with them, even in between the different tests. They were kept in the back with all the other animals. The staff were rude and impolite. The "doctor" would come in, and say what needed to be done, and then leave, and then a "financial advisor" would come in and tell them the price. I'm pretty sure they do this on purpose to get you to pay for unnecessary procedures for your pet. The doctor and the financial advisor would never come in at the same time. There was lots and lots of waiting, and nobody would tell them anything except new things the cat needed done to "find out what was wrong". Eventually one lady did an ultrasound on the cat. She wasn't normally used to doing ultrasounds so she didn't charge. But based on what she saw (she also sent the video to her friend who breeds cats) she determined that the cat needed an emergency spay ($3,000) since she had some fluid in the her uterus ( not enough to get a sample of), which indicated a ruptured uterus. The other options they suggested were to either put her down (much less expensive than an emergency spay!) And bottle feed the kittens, or give her and the kittens to a shelter. We went against their advice (they made us sign papers saying we knew we were going against their advice and brought our cat home to die (they made us think). We put momma and her kittens back in their old spot and immediately she calmed down and started purring. The next morning she was FINE, up and using the litter box, eating, drinking, nursing her kittens. It's been a week and she and her kittens are doing amazing well. I shudder to think of what would've happened if we followed their advice!!!!! Never take your animals here. Most likely they'll do more harm than good. Lesson learned. Edit to reply to reply from Diamond: Thanks for wanting to follow up, I appreciate it. My mom (Jennifer Matson) is the one who brought the cats in, if you want to follow up it would be fine to give her a call. The momma cat and kittens are still thriving.

They were able to get our dog all her vaccines without an appointment. Very helpful being open 24 hours.

When our sweet 16 y/o Pomeranian, Ding, was unable to walk one Saturday morning we sought the guidance of a trusted Emergency Veterinarian and brought her in to Diamond. After some x-rays we could easily see Ding had badly dislocated her hip. Dr. Garrison was kind, gentle and compassionate but also honest with us. She explained that it was unlikely that she would make it through or recover from surgery due to her existing heart condition and age. When we made the hard decision to send Ding over the rainbow bridge, the decision was made less difficult knowing we had educated guidance, support and care from the team at Diamond. The staff at Diamond professional, courteous and hardworking. We were surprised at the reasonable cost for the diagnostics and services provided. While it is always tough on a pet owner to end up at the ER with their fur-kid, having the expertise and guidance from the team at Diamond made it less painful. Thank you Diamond & Dr. Garrison.
