Amazing staff does amazing work!

Came up from Portland for Optimaligist. Dr. Darrow is fantastic and highly recommend!! Emergency visit times seem much less than Portland Vet clinic emergency wait times. Will come here in the future if/when another of my fur kids has an emergency!!!

My husband and I were shed hunting with our two dogs, our girl Hazel whos a Springer Spaniel and our boy Otis who is a Chocolate Lab. Otis climbed under a downed log and there were sticks protruding from the log and he was impaled behind his last rib near his guts on his right side. 2 hours from home 2.5 hours from our normal vet...nobody could get him in, nobody takes payments. Finally got in touch with Columbia River Veterinary Specialists, who is open 24/7! They got him in and kept him overnight. He had no puncture to organs but he tore muscle. They were thorough, and very helpful. Ive never had such diligent, speedy care from a Vet or regular hospital for that matter. I'm truly thankful they were able to help, and very thankful for my Mother Inlaw for helping us. I highly recommend Columbia River Veterinary Specialists!

Nicest vet I've ever been to.

Wonderful experience! Our cat Moo Shu had an abscess on his paw and wouldn’t put any weight on his leg. Before taking him back the triage vet was very clear about what it was gonna cost just to look at him, not including treatment. They took Moosh back, examined him and came out with a treatment plan and cost which I paid. Upon pickup they refunded us $100 because they didn’t need to do everything they originally thought they needed to. I really appreciated their honesty and integrity in a situation where I would’ve been none the wiser. I cannot say enough about the way they triage pet patients first rather than trying to fit every person into an exam room. It REALLY speeds up the process. Their lobby is really nice and comfortable and has a vending machine and drinks available. The staff and vets were wonderful and Moosh was very well cared for. They turned a bad situation into a well managed and relatively pain free experience.

Awesome place for treatment of you animals we have been there several times with two of our dogs. The techs, vets and front desk are amazing people to do what they do everyday. If your in need of emergency care or special vets this is the place for sure.

Anna Hartley

It takes a little while, but the staff is wonderful and they made sure my dog was ok before we went home.

Renee Hanoski

The staff up front and the doctor in the back took very good care of us and our way Chev. Everyone was so kind and caring and treated us with dignity and respect

Johnny Thompson Morales

Dr. Kroll and Columbia River were recommended by my regular veterinarian, for a neurologist. The location was a bit out of the way but worth every mile. Everyone was extremely friendly. Pam was great with our baby girl and Dr. Kroll was amazing as well. I left with peace of mind. I will definitely be telling all my friends and associates about the wonderful experience. Thank you.

We came in as a referral from another clinic with our incredibly ill puppy. The level of compassion everyone had was unparalleled to the clinic we had come from. Our journey began with a treatment plan we couldn't afford and they worked with us to figure out how to make our pups surgery a possibilty [financially]. Unfortunately blood work and testing told us that our little miss wouldn't have made it, so we decided to do the humane thing and let her rest. It was peaceful and full of love. We could tell that everyone from the front desk (Mr. R) to Dr.G, was feeling our grief along side of us. Dr. G was very respectful, comforting, and empathetic in the way we went about explaining our puppy's prognosis (unlike the clinic who sent us their way) and we left feeling like we and Dr. G had done everything he could. We will miss our little girl but they sent us home with some very beautiful memorabilia and the knowledge that we were doing the right thing.

I have gone here for my Girly's knee surgery. Dr. Nova has explained it in details and terms I was able to understand fully so I could make the best decision for my pup. I fully trust and would recommend them to anyone who would be on need of a knee surgery or anything else they specialize in. All the staff have been very inviting and warm. They at times are also busy but with how good of service they do I wouldn't expect anything less!

Darline McHarless

The staff is really nice and they saved my dog! He had to have severe back surgery. He's a Dachshund and I can't believe how smoothly went over. The doctors and nurses are so nice and everyone is really good about helping you with the information, some of the things were hard to understand. You made a great schedule for me to let me know what kind of pills and what time my dog should be taking them. I highly recommend this place. Expensive like any other vet, $6,000. But my dog is well worth

Rick Rosenberry

Super great people

Fae Evrnyt

Very nice doctors, but their prices are WAY too high.

Annie Jacoby

This place is very good. Our cat was having difficultly breathing. After a very frustrating run-around at Banfield on Mill Plain all week, paying a ton of money and taking multiple days to get any information about our cat (don't go to Banfield), it eventually became an emergency situation and Columbia River Veterinary Specialists did a great job handling it. They were quick, professional, and helpful. The doctor helped me through the whole process of coming to terms with my cat having cancer and having to be put down. They were very sensitive and compassionate in helping me to make this difficult decision. We will miss our sweet cat but are thankful to have had such capable, caring people help us through the whole process. Highly recommend!

Andy Schafer

Our normal vet in longview would not see our dog so we called Columbia river vet and they got her in no problem. They treated us very nice and took care of the dog really well.

Carole Martinez

Dr Kawaminami is wonderful. She was so compassionate and caring as we came to the decision to have our beloved Old English, Bridget, go to puppy heaven. She and the staff at CRVS made the procedure a serene and touching good bye to our dear girl. My memories of the final good bye are good ones because of this wonderful facility and this caring doctor.

tairaluna

I took my dog to CRVH after he started vomiting and not being able to keep anything down. After you see the vet they come up with a treatment plan for your pet and have you pay at that time for the estimated services. He was in the ICU for 2 days where they tried to figure out what was happening with him. When I checked him out they had not used all of the funds allotted and refunded my unused money. I thought this showed honesty, as they did not run a lot of unnecessary tests just to make money. My dog has some very unusual symptoms, that unfortunately kept them from being able to make a definitive diagnosis while he was admitted. However, even after he was checked out and we were home, one of the vets (Dr. Thompson) called me to discuss another possible cause for his symptoms. So even after he was checked out, and they were not getting paid, they were still thinking about him and brainstorming what could be wrong with him. This tells me how incredibly caring they are, and that they truly want to help their patients. I’m still hoping for a miracle for my little buddy, but I would absolutely recommend this office for your veterinary needs and I feel confident that they did everything they could to help us. They are wonderful!

Mookie Gigantelli

They were very accommodating to us and our pup. We were able to visit at any time of day. Thank you for your patience and compassion.

L Z

Absolutely a wonderful place. Very clean, everybody was friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. I bearely had any wait time. Doctor was very kind. I would recommend this place to everyone. They are truly there for the animals best interest.

Sandy OHayer

Very good appointment once we got in. Waited half an hour past our appointment time though. Appreciated the follow up call a couple days later checking on our pet.

Gypsea Rose

Compassionate people ready to try to help you and your furry loved one.

Patti Balzer

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I felt confident that they knew what my dog's needs were and would recommend them to anyone.

Diva

Great service, but should be for the cost. Glad to have them though when your pet is sick.

John Jamrog

We took our cat to CRVS last week as our vet of 4 years left his practice abruptly. Our pet is old and has multiple health problems which we have to continuously monitor, so we were not only apprehensive about finding another good vet, but also about bringing them up to speed quickly so our pet's progress could be maintained. Dr. Casey Sleznikow was exceptional in her ability to assimilate our cat's health history and confident in her knowledge of all our pet's issues. She is thorough, decisive, and excels not only in veterinary medicine but also in communication. Dr . Sleznikow, her assistant, and the receptionists are all incredible. Follow through on all questions and prescription orders was immediate and accurate. We're very fortunate to have decided on CRVS. Though slightly more expensive than our past clinic, it is well worth the price for the professionalism of the whole staff. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for specialized care for their pet.

Morgan Connelly

The staff here is so wonderful. They helped us out at 1 am with our kitten Waffle. Unfortunately he did not make it but they were so compassionate and made the experience a little less painful. I can’t rave enough about this place.

Lisa Contreras

I have used there services several times. Also have received amazing service & friendly staff.

Michael RR

Everything from start to finish with my furry feline buddy Walter White was absolutely stellar care and concern. All the staff are very friendly compassionate professional and on point. I would highly recommend Columbia River Vet Specialists. Thanks to the whole staff for saving my buddies life.

emilio ramirez

Very capable, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Their sensitivity to an owner's situation is much appreciated.

Jennifer Wills

Very helpful, always friendly!

Barbara Benson

I never doubt the care and professionalism the entire staff take toward my hounds at this emergency hospital. It is a bit of a drive, but we'll worth it.

Harmony Coburn

I have gone to this emergency clinic for a few years. I have always been impressed by their care - until today! I took in a sick cat. They took her right in for "triage" and said they would come and let us know next steps. They did not call our name again for 3 hours. When we finally saw a doctor, NOTHING had been done for my cat - she had just been held in the back (I assume to keep me from getting tired of waiting and leaving with her). The vet probably spent 5 minutes examining her and then came into the room (without my cat) and told me there were no obvious signs of a mass or blockage. She then presented me with an estimate of $800 for x-rays and blood work - I felt x-rays were prudent but if there was no emergency, did not see the value in paying 3x the cost for blood work that my vet could do the next day (clearly the ER vet did not feel there was an emergency since they had not put my cat on fluids or anything in the time we sat in the waiting room). She told me my cat seemed to be constipated but no real signs of any masses or blockage.I went for the x-rays but opted out of the over priced blood work (which would have kept me waiting another 3 hours). But my experience for my pet is nothing compared to the horrible care I saw true emergency pets getting! During that 3 hours i waited just to get my cat back in my possession, I saw 2 "true" emergencies that were left sitting in the waiting room. One was a young small dog that came in convulsing from eating a package of gum with zylotol in it. They left the dog and her people sitting in the waiting room so long that the dog recovered on her own before they called her in to see the doctor. They finally took her into a room right before I was called to discuss my pet's xrays. Once we decided not to spend any more than the $370 dollars already spent for the visit and 2 xrays, we were quickly ushered to the front desk to collect payment. Then we waited another 30 minutes for our pet. She was not brought to us until I actually got pushy and demanded she be brought to me. By that time the people with the poisoned dog were being brought to the front counter, without their beloved dog, the vet had "recommended she stay over night for observation" (probably a $2000 bill) because there is a small chance that the liver damage won't show up for 12 hours or more. By that time the pet owner could have seen her own veterinarian and had blood drawn multiple times to see if the liver was getting damage! I told the owner that she was wasting her money and that this organization is scamming people out of their money. Every person that came out while we were waiting was handed multiple prescriptions and all of them included expensive "pro biotics" (over the counter from chewey for a small cost) and expensive "special food" and bills in the hundreds of dollars with a recommendation of coming back for a follow up. During the 3 hours of waiting, there was also a dog that came in, bleeding from the head with a gaping wound that was left to sit and bleed in the waiting room for at least an hour before being seen. Then the front desk had the audacity to say to me "well, we are an ER" - they did not treat any pet that came in as an "emergency". I have to wonder if they simply didn't have any veterinarians on staff at all. I am not sure but I wonder if this once, wonderful emergency clinic was purchased by a larger corporation that puts profits over care now. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET THERE IF YOU ARE TRULY WORRIED ABOUT THEM.

Janis Nowell

These are great people!

Shawn Pidcock

This place takes care of your pets. The downfall is there is usually a long wait. Don't plan on going there and getting out and less than an hour. The people are friendly but it is very expensive.

Michelle Hamblin

We had a terrible experience here. I had written a very detailed review afterward but somehow it was removed. The vet misdiagnosed bloat and had she identified it correctly after the x ray, my dog might have made it through. Instead she called it a 'mass' indicating it might be cancer...although I told her the protruding bulge in his side came on very suddenly. I know diagnoses is challenging and tough to do in emergency situations, but my dog died and might have been helped had she known more. Bloat is common in dogs I now understand...and a good vet will make all the difference. Would never use this clinic again.

Chelsea Gipson

This place is phenomenal. We brought our sick pup here and ended up staying in the ICU for a couple days. Our nurse Becky and our two vets, Dr. Thompson and Dr. Sutton, were all incredible. They are fantastic at their jobs and care about our babies deeply. I am forever grateful to CRVS for help during one of the worst times of my life.

Andrea Hughes

Called on off chance that they might be able to prescribe 2-3 of my dog's pain med that we keep on hand for an existing hip issue. An existing issue diagnosed by our wonderful vet Dr. Eric with Orchards Veterinary; unfortunately our vet is not in until Tuesday and isn't open on Sundays anyway. I got no further than the very rude, abrupt and snotty sounding receptionist who never even gave her name, telling me that we'd have to bring our dog in for an unneeded exam. I work in the medical field and knew it was a long shot about the med (similar policy where I work) but the rudeness of the receptionist was completely uncalled for! Either retrain, or kick that staff member to the curb!!! Is this really who you want as first point of contact for your clinic/business? You either have compassion and empathy or not. She definitely DOES NOT! Will rethink calling them in future for sure.

Yvonne A.

When we dropped off our dog we were very concerned for his health. Staff was very helpful and empathetic. They encouraged us to call whenever we liked because he had to stay overnight. It made me feel like my fur baby was in good hands. Our update from the vet was helpful and they were very patient explaining his discharge needs.

Wanda Scharfe

I like the vets here. They have realistic options for your pets care. I wish they had a branch in Stevenson

Jessie Dutton

We had to make an unexpected visit last night with our 7 year old German Shepherd who had what we believe to be a seizure. The staff there were helpful - compassionate! We couldn’t have asked for better care in our time of need!

Scott Robbins

Daisy had surgery two days ago here she is doing great! These people really care and took care of my daisy as she was their own! Wouldnt go anywhere else for specialized animal surgery's.

Debby Coleman

Columbia River Veterinary Specialists were very caring during a time that was very traumatic for me. My dog was sick and I was scared. They treated me with respect, were very sensitive and gave my dog great care. I left feeling confident that my dog would be ok and they gave me clear instructions on how to take care of her. I would certainly choose CRVS again if my pet needs emergency care.

ellie hilborn

Great staff. Comfortable spacious waiting

mimi franklin

Five hour wait from arrival to departure. The staff was competent and friendly. The facility was nice. I watched as upwards of ten to twelve people come and go, I sat. A good portion of them came in after me. I think the trick is to call ahead to tell them your dog is sick and they go straight back on a gurney. Mine was sick but I held her. While I understand the dogs are triaged according to sickness, I am not typically an alarmist with my dogs or my kids.... no gurney needed. In this case it did not work in my favor. Four hours in the waiting room. Put it this way.... they were cleaning the lobby and I was still sitting. Finally went to the front to check on being seen at all. FINALLY seen for ten minutes. The vet was smart, and very good. The checkout, while polite, I was done listening by the fifth hour so I heard nothing of their explanation of medication. But, I’m an adult....I can figure meds out. Someone definitely dropped the ball today. I am guessing they need to have more communication between the front and back. Not my business, but definitely a topic on “what can we do in the future so someone isn’t forgotten”. I was forgotten.

Cheyann Anderson

Don’t come here unless it’s a last resort. I brought my dog here and the vet was not only rude, but took 4 extra days to give us our test results and that’s only because I kept on calling until they finally gave them to me. Really pricey too.

Scott Radcliffe

Very professional and excellent care

Summer Smith

My dog ate a peach pit and had to take her in. Even though I was told a 5 hour wait we were in and out in about an hour. Everyone was very helpful and attentive. Vet pricing is always going to be high but I did feel I was charged fairly. If my animals ever needed medical attention again I will be returning here.

Heidi Erickson

My sweet Sophie had an emergency and CRVT was recommended to me so my son and I brought her in. The staff was wonderful the entire time we were there. The vet took such good care of her and explained in detail what was wrong and the treatment plan. The total bill was far less than I expected too. I highly recommend them for any pet!

Rhonda Byler

The poeple there are super special.

Melonie Breshears

They were so caring and sensitive to our needs. Today was the hardest day of my life and they helped me get thru it.

Amylisa Myers

While visiting family out dog ate sugar free gum containing xylitol. We rushed him to CRVS and they did a great job and kept us informed of his situation throughout his stay. Additionally, once discharged to us they coordinated his plan of care with our home vet. Our home vet was very impressed with their documentation and care. Thank you so much for coming though during an emergency. Great job to the entire CRVS staff.

U Gensler

My dog had to have liver surgery, which is not easy on a little dog. Surgery cannot take too long. I was so nervous. Dr Bachelez talked to me before surgery, explained every step in great but easy to understand details. She came through fine and was spoiled by the surgery assistant andthe vet techs. It made me feel good that somebody was there at night. I would trust all who work there. They are all such caring people.

Rhonda Lee

Amazing Vet! Fast, friendly, knowledgeable and helped my 12 week old German Shepherd recover quickly! I recommend CRVS to anyone with a pet that needs immediate care! I'm new to the area and am happy to know I have a vet 24/7 if the need should arise again. Thank you to the entire staff that took such great care of us!

Mary Phillips

Great vet, VERY caring facility

Samantha Anderson

Always a fantastic place to go when my regular doc is unavailable. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly, just make sure you have pet insurance!

Tania Ball

We took our 1 week old kitten in because an unfortunate accident and the doctor was so amazing, extremely honest and was truly sympathetic to us. Unfortunately our baby didn't make it and The doctor called us and asked us what we would like to do and he is being cremated so we have him with us all the time. The receptionist was absolutely amazing, she rushed our baby into trauma and was very sympathetic to us. Thank you so much for everything. Update: we had our little boy cremated and we got him back, it's such a beautiful box, with his name, foot print, lock of fur and a few other things that are just beyond beautiful and special. You guys made his memory even more special to us. Thank you for your love and kindness.

Mary Jo Haslem

Kind, caring, and highly skilled

Ronna Overman

We recently had the unfortunate experience of needing specialty care for our pet. We needed the professional expertise of a neurology team for our dog's disc rupture. We were provided excellent care, communication and expertise by Dr. Krull and his team of veterinary nurses. The compassion, attention, explanation and all around care was top notch. We would recommend Dr. Krull and the team at CRVS without hesitation.

Ashley Bradley

A huge comfort knowing they are here 24/7. I have had both cats and dogs seen here. They are always professional and compassionate. Absolutely pricey for emergency services but in this case I believe you get what you pay for.

Savannah Kennedy

Business model seems to be to take financial advantage of customers in a time of need and worry. Sat in the waiting room for an hour and listened to them prescribe tramadol for nearly every patient. Of course no one wants their beloved pet to be in pain. BUT! 8 each 50mg pills at $30.00 equates to $3.75 per pill. They sell online for less than 50 cents each. Shame on you

vickie putnam

Very good staff that understands pet owners in destress about their pets. Animals receive the very best care.

Kamm Fowler

I’ve always loved the staff and service here, until only recently that is. After 5 months of bringing in my cat with the fatal disease FIP, and more recently, an office visit 2.5 weeks earlier, these guys still charged me an office exam fee of $110.00 in addition to the euthanasia fee. Thanks for the caring and compassion guys might as well take in all you can. As if I wasn’t already hurting....

Restory VanRoy

The ladies at reception are so very kind. The team of vet techs they have are compassionate and considerate. And the Vet I had worked hard to clearly explain and answer all of the questions my family and I had. There are a lot of forms to be signed, but nothing out of the ordinary. It would the same for a person in an emergency room. There is a bit of a wait, but again, nothing out of the ordinary. They quoted me a higher number then I was charged, however, it is a quote and I was relieved to be on the lower end of payment. While I walked away with a terrible loss everyone was so very kind to me and my family and worked hard to take care of my dog.

Jennifer ellen

I felt like our boy felt helped and safe with them. That is the most important to me. Next is care. I feel it was great care.

Steven Jones

Excellent service, great people.

Keith Mazini

They took great care of my sick baby.

Mark de Szendeffy

We took our cat there desperately trying to save her. The staff was very kind, compassionate, and also honest. That allowed us to make the correct choice in a timely manner. Thank you

Julie Rinard

We drove 40 miles with our mini dachshund who was having pain so severe that he screamed when we held him. We were greeted warmly and staff talked calmly and sweetly with Buster. Tim was amazing and put our minds at ease immediately. Buster snuggled up to him after he said, "Ok, I won't touch you THERE anymore." We were there several hours. They were very busy, but thankfully Buster's condition was quickly diagnosed and he received an injection for pain right away. We were well informed about Buster's condition, cost, what to watch and what to expect. He underwent surgery and we went home with medication, a cone, pee pad, peace of mind and a very relaxed dog. These people are wonderful with the pets as well as the people who love them. Consider what you pay for your own health care. CRVS is worth every dollar.

Claire Howard

They use a trucker radio to call orders to the back bar. Levitating carriages could be lethal during an earthquake. Much kitsch... ❤️

Ian Baumann

We've gotten excellent care for our dog here over the years.

Alison Hutchins

I just made a call about my parrotlet to this clinic. She needs care today. I had trouble with my iphone, because I didn't know how to get back to the call screen. Even though I was very apologetic, I heard impatience and irritation even after the apology. Having been in customer service my entire working life, I know how to discern attitude through voices. She was quite snippy. This clinic does not work with birds, which is fine. It was the way she voiced the information that inspired me to review..

Michelle Gordon

They were very attractive to my kitty.

Erica Grant

They got my sick puppy right in and helped calm us both down. They were very vigilant to figure out what was wrong and also took precautions to make sure he didn't get any other pets sick just in case he had something contagious. They did a fabulous job and helped him feel better so we could get him into our regular vet. Thank you CRVS!

Susan Dysle

They are amazing. Kind. Very happy with them.

Katy Gallagher

Took my poodle to the Opthalmologist with chronic infection after seeing several general vets for years. She did a totally professional exam and diagnosed a fungal infection and meds to treat & control it. I was concerned initially about the cost of seeing a specialist, but I would have saved hundreds of dollars if I had gone to her first.

Travis Konold

Very well staffed hospital.

Luke

Our story is a sad one. Our family cat, Lucky, was attacked by two coyotes. None of our local offices had a doctor available this late, but one of the receptionists at a local clinic recommended Columbia River. We called ahead to let the vet know that we were on our way. We showed up at about 2AM and as soon as we got there, we had help and the doctor had his hands on our kitty right away. Unfortunately, Lucky had to be euthanized. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic. They were compassionate, helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and quick in every step of the process. Thank you so much to everyone who helped us tonight

Kathy Hooper

Great people! Very loving and compassionate to your animals.

Kari Homola

They took my cat in the back and told me the wait would only be 45 minutes. Instead it took them 2 hours and told me there was nothing wrong when clearly my cat was not okay. They sent me home and I went to my regular vet the next day and they hospitalized my cat for 2 days with dehydration and a blockage in her digestive system. They also had to re-do the x-rays that Columbia River did because they were not done properly. I was charged $700 to be told my cat was fine, when my cat was clearly not fine. Also, within the 2 hours of waiting, 5 animals were euthanized because the owners were told there was nothing they could do for them and it was "the only option". One owner was almost on her way out and right before giving her her pet they told her there was no hope for her pet. I will never be going here again and please think for yourselves if they tell you there is no option except killing your pet.

Bonnie Cheek

The staff is very helpful and friendly. In my opinion what I was charged to check my baby and what I received wasn't right. I didn't get my money's worth.... I won't go back....

laurie wilson

Outstanding care for our Molly. Sunday night 10pm and my dog starts yelping in pain. She can’t sit. She’s dragging her hind legs and looking at me like “mom help”. Did I mention she was yelping? I looked around on google for the closest ER. I called and they said a 3 hour wait. Ugh! At first I was going to wait a bit but she just kept getting worse. I loaded my pup. We got to the clinic and they could hear her crying. I got checked in and immediately the Nurse came out to get my Molly. He asked me a few questions and watched her for a few seconds then took her back. I wasn’t even there 5 minutes and I was pulled back by the Nurse and he began explaining everything to me in a calm reassuring manner and said the Vet would be in. The Vet came in shook my hand and reassured my all was fine. Explained what Molly has. Swimmers Tail. She prescribed some medications and gave her the first dose with some baby food so she could be more comfortable. This staff loved my dog as much as I do! I currently go to Banfield but I’m thinking of changing now. The care was excellent and so was their bedside manor. Thank you to everyone who was there last night. Molly is resting and healing up. Good care for your sick animal

Carin Stout

The night nurse Ashley was wonderful!

Chris G.

One of our dogs recently developed epilepsy and this vet ER hospital was a Godsend. Their staff, nurses, and doctors are exceptional. They were genuinely sympathetic and took their time talking with you. The only problem is that this is obviously not a secret so you may have to wait a while unless your pet has a life threatening emergency.

Robert Eldridge

Early this morning was a very sad time for my family as we had to put our beloved Copper to sleep. The very compassionate and caring staff at Columbia river helped make a horrible situation more bearable. I wish to personally thank the night crew for helping to ease our sweet dogs passing. I would highly recommend this facility to all folks who need help for their animals.

Feryne Wooldridge

They helped me with my dog. She hid and cried. She hurt so bad. I am thankful. They really do care.

Sonia Chavez

After being referred here for an eye issue with my dog, I was able to talk to an Ophthalmology technician about bringing my puppy in. She was great and explained the importance of having him seen. I came in through the ER and was able to have him seen with an Ophthalmologist consulting the ER doc. Everyone was kind, the doctor was thorough and Tim was excellent at keeping me updated and cared for throughout the whole time. It was clear they take a lot of care and time with every animal and I appreciated that. It was a long wait and day but for me, that wasn’t a problem and I came prepared for that. I would much rather know my pup was getting excellent care and not being rushed through. I’m glad I was referred and appreciate the care given!

Scott Leahing

Even though we have never been there I called the folks at CRVS and they were so amazing kind and helpful. I would definitely take my pet to see them if I lived in Vancouver Washington.

Arlene Wands

Wonderful, trustworthy veterinary hospital. Staff is very professional. And Doctor Novo is simply superb!

maddie danner

Friendly and helpful staff, along with a comfortable waiting area which I appreciated during our stressful visit to the ER.

Terri Casale

Took my cat in for skin problems, found out she has severe food allergies. They gave her 2 prescriptions and new hypoallergenic cat food. She is doing much better. Great service

Jean Falls

I took my dog here because she has a "cherry eye." Dr. Darrow examined her and explained everything about this condition. I left there feeling very comfortable with the meeting and plan on having surgery on her eye.

Joe Smith

First and last time we ever go there,2 hours to put our cat down!!!! :(

MrGideons2

Called about my shepherd having a nose bleed. I was told that if I came in through the ER that she would be fit in and would be seen by an Internal Medicine DR. After waiting for 1-1/2 hours during my work day, a doctor called me to the room and explained that there was no Internal Medical staff that could help me that day. She then quoted me $3000-3500 for a CT scan. I received no exam (my choice) because it would do no good for the nose, since there was no one there to scope it. I called back a few days later due to a continued nose bleed and now diarrhea and they said they would have someone from internal medicine call me to discuss options and to get me in with my dog to be seen. After waiting a day no one called me so I call them, they then proceeded to tell me that they where booked up fro a couple of months. They were no help to my pet that has been having nose bleeds and diarrhea now for 2 weeks. I will never recommend them to anyone. The receptionist was rude also on my visit. Would not even give them one star but had to to make the post.

The vets, surgeons, front desk are amazing. I had to bring my 7 year old Lab mix Booker in for what I expected was a bowel obstruction. After X-rays it was confirmed and he was rushed to surgery. They called to update me regularly for over 48 hrs he was hospitalized, they even allowed me to visit him and sit in his kennel. Expensive ($6000) but exceptional service. Booker is healing well and doing so great! I’m getting ready to schedule his appt to get his sutures out. Thanks for saving my baby boy.

Recently had to take our cat in to be seen for rapid changes in her health. The entire team was incredibly caring and compassionate. They provided us with multiple treatment options, and we're incredibly supportive of any and all decisions. They took an incredible amount of time answering all of our many questions, both in person and on the phone.

CRVS is exceptional! My Baby girl got the best care when she was critically ill, relieved she is now on the mends. So impressed with the high level of care and the Love you give EACH animal, like you would your own pet! Thank You again.

I will recommend CRVS to everyone that I know. We had been searching for months to find a place to take Dozer, our one year old English bulldog, to get his cherry eyes fixed, a soft pallet surgery and neutered. Another veterinary hospital in Oregon referred us to CRVS and I am so happy that they did. The service we received was out of this world. Amazing!! I felt comfortable leaving Dozer overnight to be watched and knew he was in great hands. I was called multiple times during his surgery to keep me updated about how things were going and I was able to visit him after the surgery was over. When I picked Dozer up today I was not rushed at all, I asked many questions and felt that everyone I spoke to was knowledgeable and only wants what’s best for Dozer. Thank you to everyone at CRVS! You guys are amazing.

I could'nt be more pleased after taking my ill cat, Kitty, to CRVS. I was told my cat had manageable medical conditions. If your animal has a complicated medical condition or conditions, such as my cat, I would recommend visiting the specialists at CRVS. Dr. Sleznikow, an internist, was very familiar with our cat's multiple conditions and confident medications can help Kitty. Dr. Sleznikow explained my cats complicated condition thoroughly. The entire staff at CRVS is attentive and caring about giving you and your pet the best service possible. Dr. Sleznikow and her assistant follow up calls on tests and medications in a manner that is timely. Thank you CRVS for helping Kitty. If you have a very sick animal go to CRVS. Kitty liked Dr. Sleznikow and her assistant.

Very friendly staff. I love that they are always open. Even if you go in the middle of the night and there is no one else there, it’s still a long wait. That’s my only complaint. Otherwise they are great.

Jordyn Clark

We recently brought our cat in for urinary issues/potential blockage. They immediately brought him to the back to check his vitals. While the wait was long (to be expected because this is an emergency facility), the vet tech dealing with our cat gave us updates constantly on how he was doing. The vet was polite and explained everything thoroughly to us. The receptionist staff were kind and caring. Cost was very reasonable for the services provided. Overall, I am very impressed and mostly very grateful for the care they provided to our cat. Thank you so much to the team at CRVS!!

Dr. Darrow & her staff take excellent care of Abby. They are friendly & helpful. Abby & I look forward to, & enjoy our visits. Abby had her cataract surgery 2 years ago, & her good eyesight has allowed her to live a rich, full & happy life. I couldn’t ask for better care. Thank you Dr. Darrow.

They took amazing care of our kittys

The facility is clean. The staff is very caring of the animals and sensitive to their owners. I can't recommend CRVS enough.

My kitty was there to have Vet Cardiologist, Dr Thompson, give him an echocardiogram. Very thorough vet, explaining the procedure, outcomes, and RX options while she showed me the films. Top notch specialists come to CRVS in Vancouver for appts, which saves me a long drive. The technicians at CRVS, as well as visiting technicians accompanying their specialists, are superb, the same as the veterinarians.

Veny Razumovsky

When they get busy, expect 4 hours to be seen. But when you do get seen they are friendly and nice.

When you need the VERY best in care for a complicated problem CRVS is the only choice

We have been here for 2.5 hours and counting. It was at least an hour before they took our miniature dachshund back to check her vitals which took another 45 minutes...which means they left her back there alone likely for most of that time. They brought her back out and said now we had to wait for the doctor to call us back. Another 30 minutes passed by. Finally got called back only to be in there less than 5 minutes for the vet to tell us exactly what we told them when we arrived. She told us we needed to find a regular vet and have them do a ton more tests on our 18 years old mini weenie. She prescribed antibiotics and pain killers then sent us back out. Literally less than 5 minutes. Another 45 minutes passed while we are waiting on one single tech who can do the pain meds prescribed. 3 hours and $200 later we are out. They are very kind, but do not seem efficient. This may literally be simply an ER for very emergent animals but nothing else. Now we know. We did receive peace of mind to have our thoughts confirmed but the time it took to do that was absolutely ridiculous.

I want to thank you so much for the great care you gave my Leo and my entire family when Leo was put to sleep last Saturday. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do and you all gave us such support. The Comfort room was such a nice touch and the Vet was so caring. We received Leo’s remains back from Peaceful Paws and we were very pleased. What a nice engraved box they put his ashes in. Along with his paw print, locks of his fur, and support literature to help us cope. Thank you and we will highly recommend you to all of our friends that may need your assistance.

This team of vet techs and veterinarians is incredible. We had brought our pup in with some injuries to her foot and they were excellent at communicating the plan and taking care of her. Additionally, I watched them triage multiple dogs with varying injuries and illnesses and they are kind, compassionate, professional and above all knowledgeable. Would recommend anyone here without the slightest hesitation.

They saved my dogs life. Great staff

Angelia Richards

The attention and care of everyone was wonderful everyone was attentive and helpful. me and my wife want to thank everyone for everything you did. PS our Shadow is back to his old self and he thanks you as well.

Jackie Selzer

The whole staff from the time I came through the front door, were very professional and compassionate. It is a very difficult time to be going through with your fur baby, and they made ours a little easier. Stayed in contact throughout the whole procedure.

Breanna Law

I had to come in to see the opthamology department, and saw Dr. Darrow. Having to go to emergency or see a specialist is never fun, but she was so sweet, patient with my little sphynxy boy, and thorough. She explained everything to me, and all of the possible next steps. I am happy to come to her with all of our eyeball follow ups.

Jeffrey Alger

I have had a great experience with this place. My pup has had numerous tests with them over the past month and I have been happy with everything. Still dont know what is wrong, but that isnt their fault. We will continue to explore different issues.

Jessica Vian

I’ve used them twice- once with my dog when she ate a ham bone too fast and it got lodged her her gut, and the second time when my cat found one of my medications and decided that would be a tasty snack. Thanks for CRVS, both stories have a happy ending. They were knowledgeable, gentle, and had my pets best interest in mind at all times. When my dog was hospitalized here they let me come walk her 1-2 times a day and also had twice daily calls updating me on her condition. My cat only spent one night here, but they let me come to her kennel once she was settled and give her kisses. They also let me know if she went downhill overnight they would call me immediately so I could come say goodbye (luckily it didn’t come to that). Finally, when your best friend is having an emergency the last thing you want to think about is finances. Unfortunately it is part of the process, and every member at CRVS showed compassion and utmost willingness to work with what I was able to spend at the time. They break down the bill and if there’s a procedure that can be held off, they will do so to help you out. They give you an estimate and both times I had transactions here I got an immediate refund because they found a way to care for my pets while staying under the budget they tracked.

Marykay Johnson

I had an emergency with my puppy and they saw me right away when my regular vet wanted me to wait until next week. CRVS was great to my dog and me They even called me and checked on us the next day. I'm still waiting for my regular vet to call me back. Thank you CRVS

michelle fritzner

I took my cat in for a blockage in his bladder. They quoted me 2500.00 to remove the blockage. I needed to get the money and the bank was closed so they said for 300.00 the would drain his bladder and I could get him treated in the morning. I called them back the morning (5 hours later) and they said the procedure would be 3800.00 (WHAT

John Wilmshurst

Class act all the way around. Compassionate.

Michelle Prothero

My vet told me to call crvs and the receptionist was a complete jerk. Talking over me, not letting me finish want I was saying. Kept telling me to call poison control and she didnt care that ASPCA poison control wanted me to pay $75 for advice and aaid I have to pay it and didnt seem to care how freaked out I was. And that they were $150 just to get in. I was like, I am just looking for some advice from someone and the lady was just rude as hell. If that's how they treat people, how are they going to treat your pet. Never going here!

Danielle Collins

Sadly I was here to put my dog down but they acted quickly and were very apologetic and even sent me a card after the vet was very sensitive to what I was going through.

Amanda Gonzalez

Today was such a sad day, it was the day my dog passed on. She fell suddenly ill, and it was determined that the best course of action was to put her down. It was heartbreakingly sad... But the compassion from the staff made a horrible day just a little less horrible. Directly after work I came in, and was taken into their grieving/goodbye room where my baby girl was waiting for me with my brother so that I could say my final goodbye to her. The staff allowed us as much time as we needed without rushing us. The room had a couch and two rocking chairs and my dog was laying in front of a heater made to look like a fire place. On a day like this the comfort alone would be good enough, but one of the vet techs had added a heart onto her bandage around the iv and honest to God, that tiny touch helped so much. The kind words from them helped, but it was that tiny detail that showed that they really do care about the pets that come through. I would recommend this hospital to anyone who asked over and over again. Thank you guys.
