The best vet in the Wenatchee Valley they always treat my animals like thier own One time we had to have emergency services done at an out-of-town vet and when it was time to get a check-up and stitches removed Cascade Valley Vet treated my dog like they had done the surgery themselves. They always try to help by updating my dog's vaccines even though we do the ones we can at home to save money and they never treat me any different. When im at Cascade valley vet i really feel like Im family.

This was over a year ago and I had meant to leave a review but didn't. My 15 year old dog was having seizures. No other local vet would see her because they had no openings. Cascade told me to bring her in and they would work her into the schedule. It was as I had feared and she was at the end of life. They were very compassionate, kind and gentle. I have adopted a new dog now and wouldn't think of taking her anywhere else.

Every time, we are treated by knowledgeable, caring, straight forward, and responsible Doctors and staff. We have been seen for everything from vaccinations to life ending diagnoses. The entire staff at Cascade Veterinary Clinic are phenomenal. I called this past Saturday RIGHT before closing because my cat was experiencing what I supposed to be an emergency. Misty (I believe was her name) who answered the phone, was so caring and nice about my blubbering about my crying cat- she told me to be there at noon on Sunday with him. I got there at noon with Dresden (cat) on Sunday and they took him into a room right away. Dr. Johnson was so sweet and so quick about taking care of him. Though it was a stressful weekend for Dresden and I, the staff here made it so much less so and my fat cat feels so much better after his procedure. Though I typically go to Countryside, I would consider switching or going to Cascade again. Thank you guys so much, it meant the world to me!!

A few months ago we got left in an exam room for over an hour because the vet tech told us to wait for the vet, who forgot about us even though we asked three times when he would be coming in to see us. They advertise that they have walk in spots, but apparently calling right when they open to get my pet in with an open eye wound was going to have to wait until next week. This place has gotten so big that the left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing and you can forget about small town quality service.

1.0 star rating I sent my dog who had a very serious heart condition to their weekend walk in clinic, because he had started coughing, which is a symptom of congestive heart failure. The vet said he didn't need a chest x ray and that he had kennel cough. MY DOG WAS DEAD 1 WEEK LATER from congestive heart failure. After having to put my dog down, to put him out of the misury exacerbated by their neglegence to treat him when we were completely clear of the severity of his condition (which results in heart failure!) I made arrangements with them to have him cremated. When I got the urn with my dogs ashes in it, they had spelled his name wrong. Further disrespecting the memory of my dog. When I finally convinced myself to go down there and talk to them about it they just blew me off, treated me like garbage, refused to give me any of my money back or even a real apology even though they didn't treat my dogs condition. They did give me a replacement plate for my urn and acted like they gave me a million dollars. Great job fixing the smallest of your screw ups. Honestly I really just wanted to be validated.. this dog meant the world to me, and Candy treated it like they had sold me the wrong size T shirt. So much pain could've been prevented if they had just done their jobs. I had to have him at an emergency vet 4 days later because his lungs had filled with fluid so much from his failing heart that he was drowning inside his own body, he was kept the next day for observation as well and was given diuretics. So much of his suffering could have been prevented, and they could've saved my family and me so much money and the heartache from watching him die so slowly. These people are either inept or sadistic Do yourself a favor and never take your pets there!

Bought a little toy Maltese from Florida. Our little puppy had a hard flight so I took him to Cascade the next morning. The Vet doctor made me feel horrible for buying and shipping a dog. Our puppy ended up staying over night to make sure he got the care he needed. The next morning I got a call saying I could bring him home and that He needed some eye medication. When I got there they gave me back my puppy but no medication. So i asked them about the eye medicine and she said no there is no medication. I told her that I was told there was eye medication. She went back to check and sure enough there was eye medication. Since my puppy did not look anywhere back to normal I had a few questions to ask. The nurse kept saying "I have no idea". The vet doctor was not available for me to talk with. So I took my puppy home and I thought everything was done. Well I got a call the next day saying I forgot a medication. I was told it was very important that I come back and get it because he needed it and I already paid for it. I live at least 45 minutes away. So I had to drive all the way back. The lady at the counter was rude to me. Turns out the medication was not really that important. So I wasted time and money going back for a "medication" that was not necessary. When my dog was given back to me I felt like he was just as bad as when I first brought him in. Now that a few days have past he has been a lot better due to my care.

Staff is very friendly and attentive to pets needs. Giving a lower score as I recently found out my dog needed ACL surgery (both knees) but required a consultation prior - even though the vet recommended. Went in expecting the consultation to be free of charge, but later found out I was billed $63 for the vets time. I was already planning to spend the $3,600 per knee for surgery but will now be looking around to ensure pricing is realistic. I recommend confirming all costs prior to scheduling!

My seven year old dachshund had a UTI and Dr. Stoll did lab work to confirm it and gave us meds which helped greatly just after the first pill. So glad I was able to drop her off to be seen since all appointments were taken. She was miserable but has recovered very quickly. Thank you!

I've been meaning to post this review but forgot! I adopted a kitten from the shelter, and CVC had an opening to get her vaccinated and a wellness exam last year. The staff were excellent handling my very timid yet rambunctious kitten. She was healthy and happy, and Dr. Edwards was excellent and knowledgeable. She answered every question I had and then some. I'll be back with Persephone in a few months for another yearly exam soon!

I been coming here for years with every one of my pets but I been noticing longer waits and not enough care/attention provided to my animals. I had one of my dogs neutered and the technician never followed up with me until I had to call and ask about him. She told me he’d be ready between 4pm-6pm but most likely a lot sooner. I had to call at 6pm to ask about him because I hadn’t heard back and once I came to pick him up I asked when he was ready and she told me around noon but accidentally forgot about him. My dog was ready to go around noon! He was there for an extended 6 hours when he didn’t need to be. I am not happy.

Great vet, we’ve had to border our dog here and all went well. The only thing I don’t like about this place is the wait times. Most of the time I’ve gone in I’ve had to wait above my scheduled time in order to be seen. Apart from that the staff are helpful.

We lost our 4 legged friend about 3 years ago, Dr D took care of our dog for many years.Recently adopted a new pet from the Animal Shelter in Wenatchee. Had a check up, all is good. I have been a customer of Cascade Veterinary since 1981 when they were on North Wenatchee Avenue. They are without exception the absolute best animal care in the valley. You don't find the kind of caring and compassionate medical care for your animals that you find at Cascade in very many clinics. Our animals are just like our children and we would not even think of taking them anywhere else. Appointments are always best, but have had to "walk-in" on more than one occassion and have always been seen in a reasonable amount of time. A+++

Growing pains are hard but there is an amazing staff working in the background all the time making this place great. Give them a break; it is extraordinarily difficult to service such a large region and be the only place on the weekend to help you. The weekend! They are AMAZING here!! My dog had gotten into our trash and we live in grand coulee so the nearest vet was spokane that was 24 hours. Our experience there was HORRIBLE at the 24 hour emergency vet clinic there. So we took him home and decided to wait for cascade vet clinic to open in the morning. BEST DECISION WE EVER MADE!! They were amazing! They examined him quick and promptly as we had called before. They had an action plan and an estimate that is VERY affordable within 10 minutes!! They took great care of our doggy bean and he is home now with us!! they sent us home with all the stuff we needed including a special diet for the next week! the girls up front are amazing and dr A was the best!! thank you guys for everything!!

Reading previous reviews, I know that the experience really helps when you get a good vet from here. I went to a few different ones and was lucky to get Ty Johnson on a visit, now I request him exclusively. He is an amazing vet, always up front about all the price ranges and actually cares about each of my pets. I will wait a month if I have to instead of seeing someone else from there. He helped me when my cat was very sick, was incredibly considerate and helped me make a plan to do everything I could to try to help him. He didn't make it, but after all of that I know he was in the best hands. I appreciate the compassion of the staff and that they take Care Credit, otherwise I wouldn't be able to afford the cost of care. I now take all my dogs and new kitten to him, I've never had a vet that I actually trust before this. Thank you for all you do Cascade Vet!

I took my bearded dragon there and before I left him, I asked them if they had a way to keep him warm. They told me they had lighting and he would be fine. When I picked him up he was ice cold and he is doing a lot worse than he was before I took him there. They also told me he’s fine and there’s nothing wrong with him. He won’t eat or pick up his head, I don’t think he’s fine!!!

We're a 20+ yr client who almost left a few years back due to 1 of your office staff (this issue has thankfully resolved ) and remained due to Dr Harmeling, who unfortunately is now gone. Wednesday(?) we called Costco to refill Rowdy's truprofen which runs out Sunday AM. Due to dr staffing, we discovered this won't be authorized until Monday AM unless Rowdy is brought in for a weekend priced visit to see a 'new-to-Rowdy' doctor & even then, it would only be a few pills(?) to tide us over. After all the years & money & boarding (5 cats & 6 dogs), this is NOT particularly client friendly. Suggestions for future - flag exiting dr's clients & advise them via Petly/email/US mail for this possible situation so clients can plan/follow up accordingly. Or ok the prescription asap & follow up with client for necessary action prior to next refill. For a client to discover they are without meds unless there's an extra expense for a weekend visit is not acceptable.

I would trust all my animals to go to this vet office! They are very respectful, prices are fair, and most importantly know what they are doing! Your pet will be in great hands at cascade. I personally recommend Zach Warmenhoven if you are looking to establish a primary care vet. He took great care of my dogo when she wasn't feeling well and did a great job making her feel comfortable during the visit!

My dog was let outside to "do his thing", but after relentless barking, I went to check things out. I was horrified to find his nose was bloodied, and after his examination, discovered the muscles and nerves that retract the nictitating membrane in his left eye were damaged. He also had moderate bruising along his brow bone. Someone had hurt my dog, either throwing a rock, kicking him, etc. when I wasn't watching. Being new to the area (and panicked), I did a Google search for emergency vet calls, and Cascade came up first. I called immediately, and the staff person was very calm, very understanding, and asked that I come in right away after I said my dog's breathing became labored. My roommate raced us down to Cascade, and found the staff to be very efficient and caring, the doctor was excellent, and the price for the visit was very, very reasonable. After less than a week, my dog is back to full-health, and I (and my 13 year old dog) couldn't be more appreciative for all of the staff and doctors at Cascade. Thank you!!

We have been going to Cascade vet for decades. The Vets are still wonderful but it has been worrying to see the quality of care go down, wait times are up, the rate of turn over at the front desk has increased, call backs are being missed, and medicines are not being filled on time. And then to have their PR person repeatedly call me to see what it would take to change my review? Penny and Dr. Berdan were amazing because of their skill and their heart. What ever business model was adopted after they retired is not working as well.

I 100% wholeheartedly agree with all of the many reviews here saying the office staff at Cascade Veterinary Clinic are way Over-The-Top RUDE and crude to their customers. "Shawna" is an entry-level receptionist of theirs who left two unintelligible, rambling phone messages for me in two days, falsely claiming she was calling from a "Medical Facility" and needed me to urgently return her phone call??!! When we responded to her phone messages, explaining the dog she was calling about is actually no longer in our direct care but lives with another family member now, and asked her to please stop calling us, and also for Cascade Veterinary Clinic to please permanently take us off their phone list because we are not even pet owners anymore, Shawna screamed "I am just doing my job!!" and hung up the phone on us!!! When we called back and directly confronted Shawna for her rudeness in having hung up the phone on us and not resolving our issue, Shawna tried to dodge our return phone call and tried to get several of her coworkers to talk to us instead. Office manager Candi Riker finally took our complaint, and encouraged Shawna to stop being a coward and to face up to the natural consequences of her incredibly rude actions in hanging up the phone on a customer for no actual valid reason at all, but unfortunately Shawna then doubled down and made up a bizarre version of events claiming she was actually the poor, innocent victim, and instead of apologizing she had the gall to make excuses and shout at me over the phone once again, until Ms. Riker intervened and took the phone back from Shawna. Bottom line: a very simple issue that should have been resolved in half a minute took several employees passing the phone around until they finally put a manager on the phone and put a stop to the angry employee drama caused by Shawna's horrible attitude and rude behavior. So let's just say I understand all of the negative reviews here completely!! I have to give credit where credit is due though-- Office manager Candi Riker showed some class and apologized on Shawna's behalf when Shawna refused to apologize for herself. "I can't force Shawna to apologize but I would definitely like to apologize to you for her. She was really out of line." Thank you, Ms. Riker! Good help is hard to find, indeed. The craziest thing about this episode is we have not even actually been direct customers of theirs for several years now, and the track record of appalling incidents of rudeness that you can clearly see in the reviews here are reflective of why we would never go back should we ever become a pet owners again someday. Too bad, because I remember Dr. Womack being a total sweetheart of a vet and a really good guy when our dogs passed away 3 and 4 years ago-- but unfortunately, in a customer-service business like a Vet's office you can only be as good as your worst employee.

It was a late evening appointment, and he stayed with me for several hours while blood work was ran, and deciding to euthanize. This was the hardest decision to make, and couldnt have made it through the ordeal with out him there. The whole process was long, exhausting, and emotional. But, the whole time he was calm, patient, and caring. Thank you to the staff for being sweet when I came to pick up her ashes and cried again standing at the counter. You all were so kind and sweet

Visited Cascade Veterinary Service this Sunday with my nephew for an emergency visit for his 16 year old cat who was very, very ill. After lab rests and consultations it was determined the best course of action was to send her to the Rainbow Bridge. They were so compassionate, so caring and so patient while he said goodbye to his much loved Squishy. This is never an easy decision but they made it as easy as possible. The problem with Cascade Veterinary Clinic is the management. Unfortunately, the reason why I will never take my pets back to Cascade Vet after being very connected with them for quite some time, is because they have heartless people running it. Candi, the "director" is one of the heartless people I have met. She very clearly does not care about the pets, nor owners who come through the vet. On multiple occasions I have seen her roll her eyes, and heard her use inappropriate language/make inappropriate comments in front of customers as well as behind their back. People who bring their pets to the clinic bring them because their pets are struggling, and Candi solely cares about how much money she is going to get out of them. She shows not even a shred of empathy or compassion. I do want to stress how incredible the doctors are, however. Each and every one one of them care about every pet that comes through the door, but its such a shame they pay such little attention to the people they are letting "run" the business. Has anyone else noticed how often they are going through employees? It is obvious how poorly they are treated. If they could manage to keep a couple of good receptionist around for longer than six months, customers wouldn't have to deal with the clinic being constantly in the "training" stage. Nobody knows who I am when I go in there anymore, and its sad because I have been going there for quite some time. Finally, the clinic is getting too big for its own good. On multiple occasions I have tried to call in and make an appointment, only to have to wait up to two weeks to get in (after waiting on hold for over ten minutes, and dealing with a new girl who is still learning). Cascade vet needs to get itself together and bring the focus back to the compassion towards the pets. It is very dissapointing to see this business go downhill because the owners arent taking control of their management.

I am extremely disappointed with Cascade Vetrinary. I am new to town and looking for a vet for my cat that also accommodates my 8-5 work schedule. When I called Cascade Vetrinary they told me 5PM was their last appointment, however they would make a note that I would arrive around 5:10-5:15 and that would be fine. Unfortunately, when I got there- before 5:15- they told me I could not be seen because the doctor already started the next client and it was a procedure. Had they told me the amount of time the procedure would take and offered to see me after I would have gladly waited. I will look for a clinic that can actually accommodate my needs and is honest about it.

We had the best experience at Cascade today. Dr. Allphin was caring, compassionate and thorough. The prices were very reasonable compared to other vet clinics. I felt like they had my dog's best interest the entire time and went to great lengths to find the root of his problems. If we lived closer, I would go to this vet regularly. Highly recommend.

Except for a long wait time I find this to be a good clinic. Better than my last one. I was told to be there at noon on a Sunday and I was. It took 3 hours of waiting which was exhausting. They did have at least 3 emergencies while we waited. It's been 48 hours and no improvement in my dog. Called back today and they will see her again Friday.

The clinic has been great, the staff are very caring, and we have been pleased with the veterinarian we saw in the past. However, we have 4 dogs which all have small medical issues a lump, bump, dry eye, etc. As they received individual vaccinations and evaluation $$$ started ringing. One has a murmur so she needs an EKG, blood pressure, echo and cardiologist to read before her bump can come off. Another needs dental for $$$$. No answers, just more tests.

This is an absolute terrible place to bring your animals. I had an emergency my cat broke her jaw. I was assured SEVERAL times they could fix it no problem and keep the price around 1000$. First of all they ruined her jaw it has been two months and she looks deformed now and sometimes has problems closing her mouth. Honestly she would have been better off with a broken jaw after how the butchered my cat. Not only did they mess up her jaw up they did exploratory surgery on her stomach for no reason!!!!!! Then I received a bill for 1544.39$ that is no where near 1000$. IF YOU LOVE YOUR ANIMALS PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THEM TO CASCADE VET!

See new edit below After having my service dog treated at the clinic for 10 years, I feel that the care has deteriorated over the years. Maybe it is a result of the size of the practice, but it worries me that my service dog is not getting the best possible care. I have had numerous problems with staff not following through on tasks like calling in medication refills or not communicating information like aftercare instructions, etc. I am also frustrated that almost every time I get an appointment, it is with a new vet. I have yet to have a vet come into the exam room with the a complete medical record. When I ask questions about how current lab values compare to previous labs, the vet has to go out of the room to get them. Even then they only have one previous lab results. They either don't seem to have a comprehensive electronic medical record system, or they don't know how to use it. I have had to show one of the vets X-rays of the dog on my phone. I am worried that something is going to be missed because nobody is looking at things like serial lab values. While the vets are always professional, pleasant, and they do physical exams each visit, they don't know the history until I tell them. That means that each vet starts a new treatment plan based on what he/she sees that day. As a result, medications/diets get changed ,and then next visit I have had them changed back. What they charge for medication is insane. I needed a couple of days meds until I could get to Costco. What they charged for 4 days of meds was more than a month's supply at Costco. Normally they will give you the prescription so you can get it filled someplace else. Edit 4/24/2018 I have to say that I am impressed in the response to my last review. I was called by one of the leadership staff who asked if we could go over my concerns. She was very professional and offered that some of my concerns were issues that had been identified and they were making changes to address those concerns. She asked if one of the veterinarians could call me to talk about the care plan . I agreed. I was sent an email that had the historical lab values and they had graphed them over time. The vet's call was very good, he also felt that the many of the issues were valid and they were making changes. He suggested some changes to the treatment plan which I have implemented. I will be following up with him in a couple of weeks. At no time did anyone ask or hint that I change the review. I feel that they were really interested in making sure my service dog got the best possible care and they are committed to improving their practice. Based on their quick response and professional approach I am going to change my review to 4 stars. If the follow up appointment goes as I expect, and if the changes they talked about are implemented, I will gladly give them 5 stars.

The Veterinarians we've worked with are fantastic, offering very common sense approaches as well as more elaborate tests or care if we'd like to go that route. I've found the administrative staff to be very helpful, I avoid any wait times by calling and asking how long the current wait time is or if there are appointments available. I'm willing to drive to Leavenworth and have found that to be a very easy solution to getting in right away.

I have went to Cascade Vet forever they did surgery on a horse for a twisted Gut ( Dr Stickel ) but now I have service dogs and Dr Womak is our Angel We lost 2 Lab to cancer and he helped us through both...Now oour Lab Sara, she loves DR Womak, he is wonderful he is my angel and the only one we see right now... He treats my granddaughters black lab they live in Davenport WA an comes here to have her treated she adores Dr Womak too

Our family has been going to Cascade Vet for about 20 years. Always great till they got to big for their britches. Last visit I had found a hard lump on my doxie's chest, went and saw fresh outta the gate new Vet Dr. Harrington she felt said lump stated its breast cancer and unless we remove it right now it may be too late. I asked for a biopsy first, she refused and said she's sure its breast cancer and my dog must stay right now for surgery. She brought me the quote for the mastectomy it was for $1200 She told me she might not make it even with the surgery as its probably already spread. We did the surgery. I picked her up the next evening. She stated they had to do a more extensive surgery then they thought They basically butchered her removed all her nipples but 2 and she looked like Frankenstein how they pulled her skin across her abdomen to close the huge wound. The new bill she now brought me was around $2000 and said she will try to do histology on the tumors. I was shocked by the bill but paid it..My pup screamed in pain for 2 days I had to keep going back for injections for her but it was not enough she would just scream in pain. She finally healed after many weeks and I finally received a call. The histology of the Tumors were negative for any kind of cancer and were just calcified milk. The place is open for money only money.

I made it to the second round of interviews and was so excited and kind to the staff, I called back many times to check on my status and all they would tell me is that the manager was busy and would get back to me. They didn’t even have the respect to call me back and let me know I hadn’t been offered the job. I waited a month to hear back. I also took my puppy there and noticed they have become overly busy over the years and the appointments seemed very rushed. The doc was in and out and didn’t listen to my concerns. And they are so expensive now!!! I was shocked how much they’ve changed over the past 10 or so years. They do have some good vets and staff, it’s unfortunate that everything has become about money there and that I was treated this way. Fortunately, I switched to a better vet clinic for the future and have had nothing but positive experiences.

My dog has a brain tumor and my son and I are questioning his quality of life at this point. He walk's in circles and stares blankly into space. He is getting aggressive. His tail rarely wags anymore and we are beside ourselves with grief, but we also want to remember him as a wonderful fun loving heart of a dog. I decided to talk with the vet here about home euthanasia. So he could be here in the comfort of his favorite dog bed etc.. I was told I would have to bring him in for a consultation before hand. I understand. The office manager "Candy" made an appointment for me via a phone message and said if I could not make that time let her know. I had to take my car into the shop yesterday and it is not done yet so I called early this morning to cancel and reschedule. I was I the shower when Sierra phoned back and left a very long message about how the dates I had given to reschedule would not work because the vet was not available for the follow up euthanasia appointment scheduled for a week out from today! ????? What? I never made the final, FINAL Appointment, this was a consult to discuss. Not once in Candy's message did it say anything about a follow up death sentence appointment. I guess the kicker was I sat on hold this morning for 20 minutes trying to reschedule at the 20th minute I decided that these were not the people I wanted to handle such a delicate matter. A compassionate matter. Don't let them put you on hold for "just a minute" it's a straight up lie! Don't let them handle final details for your beloved pet. I will seek out better care for my dog. He deserves dignity and compassion in these final moments, weeks.
