Heartless Veterinary Center, DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED PETS HERE. I was separated from my dog for over 2 hours while examining him. I was very distressed when they came to me and told me they put him down, and cremated him without my permission.

This is the worst Vet I have ever encountered. They are heartless and cruel. They gave my dog a shot to put him to sleep and his last moments of life he was yelping from the pain. Either the Vet doesn't know what he's doing, or he gives them something that is very painful. The staff is unfriendly. They are not helpful at all. I hate this place.

I've been here a few times now with my boyfriends dogs and I'm just not impressed. Staff regularly make commitments to call you but don't call you when they say they will (calls are received days later than promised with no apology) or don't call you back at all. We've been promised phone calls re: quotes (high and low $$ options) for various procedures, calls to discuss bloodwork results, etc. Staff are nice enough but lack of follow through is annoying. Honestly, I don't find a phone call necessary as long as the information is provided in writing at the time of appointment or via e-mail but when I'm explicitly told to expect a call, I expect to get one. Wait times to see the vet are long. You will see him much later than your scheduled appointment time. Every place will have a bad/busy day, but we've been multiple times now and this seems to be the standard. If you just need a quick vaccine or something from a tech, they'll have you in and out though. I love that they have cats free-roaming the office and I don't mind at all at the front counter area where all pets are typically leashed and under control of their owners, but the cats walk around everywhere. When vet staff leave the exam room during your appointment and don't shut the door all the way, and cats are walking around the back area, poking their heads in to the same room where our cat-reactive dog is, it puts both the cats and my dog in a potentially dangerous situation that could have and should have been avoided. The vet himself is nice enough but I don't find him very professional or thorough. My boyfriend dislikes change and will probably continue to bring his dogs here but I will be looking elsewhere for my animals. I had great experiences at Arlington Veterinary Hospital but I've moved and it's no longer convenient. I will continue to search for a vet in Marysville that lives up to the bar they set - Cascade Vet Center is not it.

I brought my sick kitty here for her first time to find out she had a large tumor in her belly and was told it had progressed too far to do anything about it. I was basically told she would need to be put down. Aside from the obvious bad news, the whole experience was terrible. They gave me some options of tests as well as an x-ray that would be sent out for external review by another doctor. This was close to $200 dollars and I chose to do it for peace of mind after the nurse kept pushing it. One of the things that bothers me about this ordeal is that I was told I would be called the next day with the results of the external interpretation. I was not called. The next day Dr. Hoffman simply called and left a voice message stating he was calling to check up on my cat. I called back the day after that to see if I could find out the results from the external interpretation that I PAID FOR and he got back to me but had no new info. It was clear that the results were not sent out. Additionally, Dr Hoffman seemed as if I had annoyed him by calling him. After several days, and the declining health of my cat, I decided that it was time to put her down. I called and made the appointment. The Doctor seemed rushed and had a cold demeanor. Anyway, he gave her the euthanasia medicine and I got very upset and was left to say goodbye. After several minutes, I noticed my kitty was still warm and was still breathing at which time I got the attention of the assistant at the front desk. I heard her get the Dr and heard him mumbling about having to come in because I thought I was mistaking random movements for her very rhythmic breathing!! He puffed through the door and said sometimes the animals might have some twitches at which point I said "She is still breathing!" Like hello, you arrogant jerk. He came over, checked her eyes and listened to her breath and she still had a heartbeat. He ran out to get more medicine and gave it to her. Then manually squeezed her heart or something to stop it (didn't explain what he was doing). I was pretty upset at this point. What if I had not noticed she was still alive? Would she have woken up later while being refrigerated only to die from cold or suffocation? He said I could stay longer if I wanted as he turned around to leave. I said I didn't want to be there anymore and he said "oh, well, ok" and left. Very cold. In summary, I feel like I was ripped off by having unnecessary tests pushed on me to take advantage of me (I was in shock and repeatedly said it wasn't going to help but she stood there waiting for me to sign then IT WAS NEVER DONE), then treated without dignity by this Doctor as I tried to peacefully help her cross the Rainbow Bridge. They did send me a paw print and a tuft of hair. The bag of ashes was decorated nicely. The rest of the staff was ok so I gave two stars instead of one, but I would not recommend this Doctor.

I came home to an emergency situation with my dog. I googled the closest vet and it happened to be Cascade. I called and explained my situation and they yoto me to rush on down. They took my baby back immediately and were very helpful during my panic attack. The doctor came out and spoke to me personally afterwards. Fantastic staff!

I would put ZERO stars but that's not an option!!!!Brought our dog in cause he has been dealing with ear issues for a while and had ran out of his medication from his last vet. Found this place local, made an appointment for a usual checkup with vaccinations, one of which was the nasal version for kennel cough which they gave him without asking me. He isn't around other dogs, I wouldn't have okayed it. They gave him a clean bill of health including his ears. He has never been sick before but that night he started to cough. His cough got worse daily. I called and asked them concerned and they said it should go away. Then the following morning 4am he was so bad he was gagging and pukeing, I called into work. Waited till 7am until they opened and called but they couldn't get him in till 11am. After $1,286.58 worth of tests on top of the $120.10 for the "checkup", they told me that he had pneumonia and needed to take a bunch of medication. I paid them and followed directions and thankfully he is doing better. A week later they called and said it wasn't from the vaccination per the cultur. So your stuck with the bill basically. Beware of this place, I really don't think I should have to pay when they made him sick. Vaccine or not, he was perfectly healthy when I walked him in there. I feel like I've been scamed.

My dog needed to be seen for a dog bite to his chest that was a puncture wound but not life threatening. After calling around to several Marysville local veterinarians Cascade could my dog in an hour. Staff was helpful and friendly during the visit. The doctor was very gentle with my dog during the exam. An estimate range for treatment was provided before any services were provided. I approved the estimate and the services provided were fast and on budget Overall I am very happy and will return.

We recently moved into the area. We Found Cascade to be very accommodating, friendly, and capable. We just had our first visit with our pet (dog) and were very pleased with the service they provide to our dog and us. Hopefully the beginning of a good relationship. It is hard to find good Doctors, Dentists, and Vets when you move into a new area.

We have taken our dogs to see Dr Hoffman for many years. He has seen us through some difficult times, and encouraged us compassionately. The staff and Veterinarian know us when we arrive, and have even watched our kids grow up through our pet care experience. My sweet little yorkie had an extensive dental today; I received a call to bring me up to date on his medical care. As I was anxious all day, this gave me great comfort. Dr Hoffman took the time to say hello to us first thing this morning, and talked to Dougie too. I enjoy seeing the staff interact positively with each other and with the animals. It makes us feel more comfortable. Hospitality is so important, and seeing staff happy at work is also a huge bonus.

Over the course of five years, I have taken three dogs to Cascade for care. Their service has been consistently friendly and courteous. Prices are reasonable and well explained. Since my dogs are rescues, I am most concerned that a new, sometimes nervous dog has a comfortable, caring reception. All three veterinarians have shown curiosity and compassionate when meeting and treating my pets. I would recommend this veterinary center to others.

DO NOT take your pet here if you love them. My cat was attacked by a neighbor dog and we brought her here. After a very hurried "diagnosis" they were quick to shove us a bill over $600, saying due to shock the cat could not receive care until the morning. We declined the outrageous charge, and they quickly offered us the procedure that day (the unsafe one) for a little more than $400. Since the vet told us we only had to worry about the "two" wounds, we decided to care for the cat ourselves. In the days following the cat has had very apparent issues with one of her hind legs not involved in the "expert" diagnosis from this hack of a vet. When we called to ask if he would re-examine the cat for issues missed... they said they would gladly take another look, for another fee ($54). This is nothing more than a crook that takes advantage of people when they are frantic, hoping that someone in distress will sign off on their extremely expensive care. I am changing care of all of my animals to anywhere but here. If you love your animals you will do the same... never again.

The manager at this clinic is ridiculous. Who has an employee for almost 9 months, never once asks her to change the way she is doing her job, or lets them know not to do something, then cuts thier hrs from 40 hrs to 12 per week, tells them thier not fired but that thier is no room for them anymore then fires them for trying to get partial unemployment until they can find another job?? Then says that they wont get unemployment. Well here is some info for the non-knowledgeable, yes she will because she was never written up or given warning for any bad behaviour. So shame on you.They even had her drive in early for a shift then fired her as soon as she walked in. Maybe next time talk to your employees and train them if they dont preform up to your standards.
