My dog got a hold of rat poisoning and she was bleeding internally they said and the test would cost over $3,000 and they help me pay for the putting her to sleep and then I supposed to let me have the body but she's my baby. Very very helpful and calming me down. I'm still crying happened earlier today I haven't even made it home yet and I spank them they help me ease into this and I thank them for it

I came in last Thursday to ask a few questions being a possible new patient, I have never had a cat before so I came in and spoke with Deana, she answered all of my questions so sweetly , she educated me about vaccines, fixing a cat and also let me know about the feline leukemia testing I had never heard of that before with a cat so I was so impressed that she explained that to me. Deana gave me a business card and told me to stop by or call anytime I wanted to schedule an appointment. I went around that day to a few other vets and none of the front desks were as understanding as Deana was here. I decided to come back the next day to schedule an appointment, this time however the front desk was not the same the girls up front were so rude and cold. When I walked in there was a dark haired girl up front opening boxes and another was on the phone, instead of stopping the opening of the boxes she told me she will be with you in a moment pointing to the other girl on the phone. I sat there for a good few minutes before she was off the phone while the other one didn’t help me at all!! When the receptionist got off the phone she was very rude, rushed me and made me feel like I was an inconvenience to her for me being there. I was taken back by the difference in receptionist by the day! Deana was great however the other girls were not! I did not schedule an appointment I just ended up leaving

My 13 year old Shiba Inu and I are new to the area. We were seen today at Arlington Veterinary Hospital and felt right at home. The staff is compassionate and the pricing was reasonable. Don’t forget to bring the 50% off first exam Yelp coupon! Nina at the front desk is organized, well-spoken and a friendly face to welcome you. Kellie gave us a knowledgeable tour around the facility and seems well-liked by many of the regular clients. Carissa listened to our concerns, explained a few of the clinic’s policies (vaccines, etc.) and let me be a nervous pet parent. Dr. Grant is fabulous; she has a calm and caring nature and takes the time to explain any recommended treatments. She was also very generous with her time. We are happy and relieved to have found our new vet family - thank you!

Arlington Veterinary Hospital is very dedicated to providing the best care for not only their patients but the owners as well. The professional staff is proficient at diagnosing, treating and loving each pet as if they were their own. I really like that the office has a kid friendly play area, they also do tours of their hospital. As a pet parent it’s so nerve racking knowing your baby will be gone all day for a surgical procedure, more so if you’re a new client, and never met the staff. Having them do a tour made me feel completely comfortable with leaving my fur baby there. They also have an app you can download on your phone and request appointments or medications or even just send a pet selfie! I love this vet, and that they love my pet back! <3

My cat had a sudden onset of distressing vomit and diarrhea. They let us come right in. The receptionist was pleasant and concerned. Dr. Grant was wonderful. She is very calming, speaking slowly so we could understand. She gave full attention to us explaining all possibilities. I feel the care is outstanding and she was conscience of disclosing costs. The charges we very reasonable, especially when we didn't have an appointment. I highly recommend them. Thank you Dr. Grant and staff!

Awesome, thoughtful, helpful vet. All the staff was great! Dr. Grant took the time to visit with my cats and make them comfortable. She took the time to explain everything to me, ask lots of questions, and recommend things I could do for them at home. Dr. Grant is clearly someone for whom veterinary medicine is not just a profession, but a passion! The facility is new, clean, state-of-the-art, and easy to access. This will be my new vet for all my cats and dogs!

Pricier than the previous vet I used to go to but I the vets and staff are wonderful and for me personally I would rather pay a little more for excellent service and care than a bit less for a bad vet. I take make dog and cats here and they are comfortable with the vet.

Dr. Grant and her staff are amazing. My wife and I moved to Arlington in August of 2014, in January of 2015 we adopted a puppy and needed a Vet. We found Arlington Veterinary Hospital and from the reviews decided that we couldn't afford not to go here. Their concern for all of their patients started before we came through the door, our new pup could not go in until she had to a Parvovirus test done due to her symptoms (luckily she got the all clear). Since then I recommend this amazing clinic to everyone I know that has pets. I cannot thank them enough for the care they show and the diligence with which they conduct the practice. P.S. My three animals also love it here even though they do occasionally get poked and prodded! :)

I have been taking my beloved dogs and cats to Arlington Veterinary clinic since Dr Grant opened her practice. I had a senior diabetic dog that needed help across the rainbow bridge and Dr Grant came to the house after the dinner hour as soon as she could get there before she went home from her busy day. She cried with us and offered to help us with his burial. I had an emergency with my cat eating something she shouldn't of and Dr Grant took her into her care in spite of it being a very busy day for her and saved her life. I completely trust the routine care of my critters to their care. Dr Grant, her associates and staff are compassionate, friendly and professional and I will be forever grateful. Highly recomended!

All about the money, no concern for the animals. I called to ask a general question while looking at a litter of puppies and the receptionist said the vet couldn't help me over the phone, especially without seeing the puppies, then she proceeded to tell me that I could do a phone conciliation for $38 to which I asked why the vet could give me information over the phone if I was to pay her but somehow had no useful advice if I didn't cough up the cash. Sickening that they would be so blatantly hypocritical. I have brought my dogs here before and of course was charged for testing that did not need to be done and given expensive meds that did not help my pup. Both doctors have the same motto, money first, concerns for animals and their owners last. If you're looking for a caring vet that is concerned with the welfare of your pet, you might want to look elsewhere.

I came in with my cat at 8:30 Monday morn. Called left message night before that I would.be there early she was very sick with a cold or virus . Told them she had runny eyes and nose and was not eating .lethargic. she said there was one vet and she would be busy with surgeries till 12:00 and she would look at my cat inbetween. They were elective surgeries. One was a shave. I COULD LEAVE HER AND IT WAS 15.00 charge and I had to pay 52.00 upfront she called at 12 :00 . Said she needed her teeth cleaned .I said I dont care about that .also she was dehydrated .she wanted to do intervenes feeding which is fine .went to pick him up .I said what time do I give him his meds .she said they hadn't given her no medicine ..She was there 7 and one half hours and no medicine yet. To far gone had her put to sleep Thursday. Won't go back.

Best service and the nicest staff. I was in and out with x rays and all in about 20 minutes. Dr.Grant is amazing and reasonably priced. you can tell they all really care for everyone's pets like one of their own. This is my forever clinic.

This is the first time that I have taken the time to review a business. I am so happy that we found Dr. Grant! She was the 3rd vet that we had taken our dog Jake to, trying to find the cause of his skin issue. She properly diagnosed and started treatment. Within a week of being on the new meds, he turned around completely. Not only did his skin issue go away and his hair grow back, we also realized that his energy level increased substantially due to the fact that he jumped off the back deck for the first time in 3 years! Unfortunately, Jake was recently diagnosed with end stage liver failure and passed away today. I so much appreciate the people of Arlington Vet Hospital and the way that they treated us through the whole process. A very good bunch of people!!

In January my puppy and I were attacked at the door of Arlington Veterinary Hospital. No AVH personnel came to our aid although my dog was screaming in pain and I was struggling with the door. A customer from inside finally helped. When I took my dog in, they were uninterested that a customer's dog had attacked us. Although, when my husband called, he was told this specific customer had been "warned" in the past. They allowed the offending dog into the same waiting room and did NOT muzzle it. My puppy and I cowered while they did nothing. When they examined my puppy, they noted bites and scrapes all over his neck, haunches and underbelly. Although he was in obvious pain/shock they did not shave my dog to see his wounds clearly. Unless shaved, my dog's thick black coat made it difficult to examine closely. They gave me an antibiotic and pain med for him. The vet refused to give us the name of the offending pet owner. Stated they would negotiate any issues we may have. I made an emergency appt to have my dog shaved. The following day, we were told (heard by witness on open phone line) that in the event of any further damage that may develop AVH would help with those expenses (we were not "to worry"). My puppy developed a severe infection requiring surgery before my groomer could come to shave him. AVH refused to help, stated no such statement had been made and have not contacted us about my dog's injuries or mine. They continue to protect the owner of the attacking dog. I was injured in the attack. In my opinion, anyone taking their animal to this vet's office is walking into a business centered on its income, not the welfare of animals or AVH customers.

Our dog suffers with seasonal allergies and this year it was particularly worse. We tried to make an appointment with our old vet, but the doctor didn’t want us coming in. The reason for this was because our dog is a big German Shepherd that gets anxious coming into visits which makes for a stressful visit for everyone. We decided to contact this vet because we heard we can make an appointment where the vet drives down to our house. I was so amazed by Dr. Phillips patience with our dog. She was very gentle with him and ended up staying longer than planned to explain any recommended treatments. We are so happy and relieved that our dog got the help he needed. We highly recommend this vet.

Dr. Grant & Dr. Phillips are both amazingly wonderful! I moved into my husband's house up here last year. His old boy Tucker wasn't doing well this past spring, so my hubby contacted his vet only to find out it had been sold and the new owners were less than ideal. We wanted the best possible trip across that darned bridge and my hubby was referred to Arlington Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Phillips and Carissa came out to our home and were so caring, compassionate and professional. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Then, sadly, this past month my orange kitty developed an aggressive cancer. Dr. Grant diagnosed him and delivered the prognosis to my 12 year old and I with the greatest compassion. She gave us meds for quality of life, yet was honest that it wouldn't be long. We brought Garfield in a few days ago and Dr. Phillips helped him join Tucker. For both boys we received clay paw impressions which was a very special gift. The costs for services was incredibly reasonable. So our reasons for visiting these vets have been the absolute worst, yet I can't say enough about the doctors and staff!!
