Aside from having several different locations, three of which are inside CareALot pet supply stores in various cities throughout Hampton Roads, they have the absolute best, unbeatable prices around. I have been bringing my pets here for over 5 years, and their friendliness and customer service as well as low prices are simply undisputable. I highly, highly recommend them to anyone with a pet. They are not an institution that provides veterinary services such as spaying or neutering, or surgeries or emergency care, however all of your dog's shots including annuals and rabies, any flea and tick medications and shots as well as heartworm pills.....This is definitely the place to go. They only offer weekend hours which happens to be very accommodating for most of us that are working throughout the week.

I highly recommend these guys for the routine stuff. They dont offer full service for sickness or emergency, but most of the vets have other offices, so you can always get a recommendation for a pet ER or full service vet as needed. For those routine shots and wellness checkups, their prices cant be beat and they do a great job.

Poor service the vet refused my dog a Rabies shot and the reasoning made no sense because she felt she would have a reaction of which she has no history of, i took my dog to the SPCA and she was vaccinated with no problem. The vet on duty gave poor information and was a quack i waited for over an hour just to have to go to a competent clinic.

Misleading. Was told they can look at my cat that was having a skin rash, only to bring him, check-in, and overhear the vet say to another owner that they only do shots. I asked the vet if they can look at my cat and she said only for shots.....Don't put pets through the stress of being somewhere you can't do anything for them.

We took our new puppies in for some supplies and happened to be there during open hours for the vet clinic in Care-A-Lot on Indian River. The vet and all assistants were super nice and knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions and didn’t rush me out. We got lucky, the big rush for the walk-ins had died down when we had finished our shopping. We got in and out really quick.

For all your healthy pet needs, this is the best place! Affordable is spot on. Although the way the desk is set up is not conducive to dogs that are scared as it's behind an isle. You must have complete control of your animal in case others are there waiting and may not have their animals under complete control. The staff has always been pleasant as well.

We took our puppy can cat here this past weekend and were impressed with the services offered. The staff is knowledgable and made us feel comfortable. It's important to note that this is not a full-service veterinarian, but rather a more affordable alternative when it comes to vaccines for your pet. We'll still maintain our relationship with our vet for when emergency services and more complex testing is needed, but when it's just time for vaccines, we'll be bringing our pets here. They don't take appointments, so I'd recommend trying to be one of the first people there when they open so that you don't have to wait as long. We did that and were in and out (with 2 pets) in under an hour. The wait at the time we were done was much longer.

I took my pet to Care A Lot at Oyster Point location and Affordable Veterinary Services are there Sat-Sun. Now they were packed even though I waited until Sunday morning to go instead of Saturday it's still a crowded place but the staff was professional and just overall kind to me and my pet. It was worth the wait and it was unbelievable I got my puppy all of his required shots and two free nextguard advance heartworm pills at an affordable price.My puppy wasn't stressed during or after our visit which was very important to me.I would definitely recommend this place to everyone with pets especially folks with multiple pets.I couldn't get my puppy an appoint in February until mid March and I felt that was putting his health at risk everytime I take him out. I work overnight so I sent an email and someone responded within and hour inviting me to bring my baby right in and they would take care of him...If I could give this place more stars I would!!!
