Just called because my bird was attacked my cat. The receptionist didn't answer the phone with the name of the place. Then I asked if they treated birds and he responded with I think so but I'm not sure. I don't think the vet on call treats them either......Are you kidding me? I feel like you should know these things.

They are just wonderful at LVVS!! From the receptionist on the phone calling to make an initial appointment to meeting the nurse & doctor! They were so great with my kitty Ollie and really took the time to answer all my questions & give me advice on what to do once home! I highly recommend them!!!

I have been taking my dogs to LVVS for almost a decade. The veterinarians and the entire staff are thorough, kind and caring. They treat my dogs well; gently and soothingly. The medical care is excellent, whether it's for a rash, a bee sting, a laceration, or something more serious, like a terminal disease. When my beloved Bernese Mountain Dog, Sydney, was diagnosed with cancer at age 6, I was devastated. Dr. Jess, who made the diagnosis and provided most of the care until Sydney died several months later, was incredibly compassionate, as was the entire staff. No matter how many questions I have, the questions are answered thoroughly. I never feel rushed. It is rare to have to wait in the waiting room. Rather, we are taken into a consulting room almost immediately upon arrival. This is a sign of a well-managed practice; no overbooking. For those dogs that are nervous or reactive, this is especially important. I also like the fact that there are emergency hours. I have utilized this service a number of times. It is comforting to know that no matter what time of day it is, nor what day of the week it is, care is always available. I highly recommend LVVS!

I have a 13 week old Golden Retriever who needed emergent care on a Sunday afternoon. When I called, the vet tech immediately offered to page the on call veterinarian. When we arrived, we were greeted at the door and taken right in to the room. Our puppy was thoroughly examined and treatment options were offered. We were not pressured in to anything and the veterinarian gave us her honest opinion. This is a great place and highly recommended if you are looking for good, affordable care and nice staff.

Brought my very sick dog to the Animal Medical Hospital TWICE, which is right down the road from LVVS. The first time, they gave him a shot of antibiotics and sent us home, assuring us that he would be better soon. He was much worse the very next day so we brought him back for his second visit. They didn't know what was wrong and referred us to an expensive place, where he knew was a long drive from where we live. We brought him to LVVS instead! They immediately knew what was wrong and provided affordable treatment. One of my best friends is a vet tech in Stowe and she said that LVVS is one of the places they recommend.

I have very much appreciated working with Dr. Paula and the whole team at LVVS. They are knowledgeable, kind, and understanding and clearly care deeply for their animal patients. They have been very available to quickly get me in for appointments when needed, answer questions, explain options, and respect the decisions I make about the path of care for my dog as we worked through figuring how to treat a tumor she had. I decided to treat with herbal and alternative treatments first, which improved things for a while. After about 6 months, the growth progressed and I decided to have the surgery done. They provided excellent care and were in very good communication with me throughout the process. I would definitely recommend Dr. Paula and her team to others.

Each year I bring my dogs (3) in to get a "quick" exam to qualify them for top of the line flea treatment. Each year I pay the same low cost associated with a quick weigh and exam. This year, after many years of coming, I was charged 3 times the amount I was quoted; with no further services rendered other then the originally booked. When my husband told them this, they did nothing but take our money and lose our business. I do not mind paying for great quality vet care at all, but the principal here is what was quoted is what should be charged. I am very disappointed and sad to say I will be finding a new vet who really listens and cares about their customers.

I found this place a waste of time and money. Not only did it cost me 100+ just to walk through the door. But they never gave the need information until it was far to late to be of any help. Then when they failed to do their jobs. They not only blamed the animal for it, but charged me more money for there failer. I never once walked out with all the information I needed to do what was best for all involved. An I can honestly say I was never once happy when I left. If I could have I'd give them a 0. Worst vet ever! Biggest waste of money and time.

Unfortunately, in the last year, we noticed this clinic uses too much force and not enough patience. They make you wait 30 minutes to an hour and then want everything to go very quickly once the vet is in the exam room. This set up a tense environment and diminishes trust with the animal and their guardian.

I went to Dr. Campbell for my cat... I denied a treatment for dewormer and flea and tick treatment. As a conscious pet owner I felt that I had the right to deny what ever treatment I felt uncomfortable with. I simply explained that I wanted to look at other options... hearing this the doctor ranted for almost 10 minutes, used derogatory language with me, and disrespected my morals and values with condescending theories of how I planned to treat my cat. I am upset that she chose to lecture me and not guide me/help or hear my side of things. I'm not going back.

All I can say is these guys saved my dogs life and I will never go to another vet for a major surgery again. My dog swallowed something they did xrays and noticed it was a ball and they said they need to do surgery ASAP they kept her over night to give her fluids and to prepare her for surgery, here we are 2weeks later my dog is all recovered and doing awesome. We had a puppy die from the same surgery at another vet from a corn Cobb and the care was not even close to Lamoille Vally Vet, the other vet sent our puppy home 5 hours after surgery and died a few hours later from internal bleeding. Lamoille Vally kept my dog for 2 night after surgery to make sure she was fine and it cost the same as the other place. Thank you to the staff of LVV for saving Kazy life. just wish I found ya sooner I know I would still have my puppy.

I spent a few years taking my dog back and forth to this vet office for her skin condition. I got a different vet every time I went practically...My dog would get better for a short time, then get sick again. IT was a vicious circle...This year I took my dog to another vet for another opinion, and she was cured of her skin condition the first visit! Noticed remarkable changes within 2 days..With a different RX and special shampoo.....Everything that LVVS did was incorrect and she suffered for a long time because of their treatment. Thanks to the new vet who saved her from suffering anymore. I find the LVVS doesn't seem to know what to do in serious cases, and they just "guess" at it, and it cost us thousands.. 11/21/17 I took my cat there after an accident. They had to warm him with a heated blanket first before they could take xrays. Xrays were 2 hours after he was there. I dont know why they didn't put him in a warming kennel in the beginning. they didn't do it until after the xrays..Although the vet did her best considering her limitations, I was told that his injuries were too severe and if he survived the night he would need to be transported to Burl to a specialist. Because they could not help him there...Quote unquote "It was over their heads" I had to pay for a long distance transcript radiologist to READ the xray for the vet! WHAT?? so, he did not make it through the night..No vet there over night, just a vet tech? not sure what the education is there or if that is just a title... 3 1/2 weeks went by and I was waiting for his ashes. I paid most of the bill....12/15 I called to ask about his ashes and why was it taking so long... I was told that the ashes are at there, at the vet office and being held because I had a balance ($400) I paid most of the very expensive $1,200.00 bill (warming, xrays, pain med, IV, radiologist, after hours, vet assistant, etc) and I planned on paying the balance when we picked up his ashes. Instead, they chose NOT TO CALL US!!! to let us know that his ashes were even there. I was livid! .Its bad enough loosing your pet, it's even worse when they are holding the ashes "hostage".. Karen on the phone was Cold and uncaring. she put in my credit card number wrong, and called me back to tell me that the c/c was declined...It was NOT declined!!, she put the numbers in wrong....I told her that I was on MY WAY...Got in my car immediately to get down there before they close.. I paid the balance w. the same c/c, and picked up my cats' ashes. The clerk was so cold, shrugging her shoulders at me in a "I DON'T CARE" fashion...I didn't even get an apology over the phone or in person from any of them....Receiving the ashes brings closure and comfort to someone. They need to contact the families when the remains are ready to be picked up...... Very uncaring, disrespectful, heartless people at LVVS and I will never go there again!!! IT's all about the $$$.....I received the bill in the mail 2 days after my cat passed....I will spread the word about how inconsiderate and uncaring they really are....PS This place is DEFENSIVE and in denial of any mistakes or poor care. Also it has been over a year and my dog has had nothing but excellent health since we transferred!

Years ago our Chocolate Lab passed while on our way to LVVS in an emergency situation. Totally devastated upon arrival there, my son (the owner) & I told the Vet what happened. Without hesitation he came out to our vehicle, picked up and cradled Oscar and whisked him away. I doubt I will ever forget that day, as he carried him out of sight. We could not have asked for more professionalism. LVVS handling the unexpected death of our precious dog was a lorry load lifted off our shoulders. They handled everything, which was a tremendous comfort to our family.
