This place is excellent, my boyfriend and I have a small rattery and on the rare occasions that our rats get suck or injured we are confident they are in hood hands when we bring them here. It is so hard to find a good exotic vet, let alone a good one, and Green Mountain is by and far a great one. Their prices are reasonable. Last time we were there they even knocked $10 off of the exam fee because we ended up weighing our rat instead of the tech; this is not an indication of inexperience of the tech merely the squirminess of our rat. Both times that we've come it's been for emergencies and both times we were immediately admitted despite not calling ahead on one of the visits. We're so pleased with their service that when we adopt my aging grandmother's dog in May we will be bringing her here too.

My son had just recently moved to North avenue, he had not acquired a vet in the area to take care of his dog. Unfortunately there was an accident, and Green mountain animal Hospital refused service.No animal veterinarian should be able to turn a way and emergency. My son's dog had an accident and was dying and the place turned him away saying he was not a customer. True he was not, but in an emergency do you not seek the closest hospital. This only shows the character of the people that work there and their love for animals. My son's dog died by the time he drove it the distance to his regular Veterinarian. Could she have lived, did two young children have to learn the pain of losing there dog.
