Brad Krebs

We have been coming to UVH&D for 5 years now and love the services provided and the check up reminders. Amazing staff and Vet's. Thank you for all you do for us & our dogs! Eddie and Mishka!

Sara Bybee

Best clinic ever! The receptionists are always friendly and helpful and the personal attention my animals receive is fabulous. This team goes above and beyond to ensure client needs are met and the doctors are very knowledgeable and experienced. I brought my dog in during an emergency once after she was attacked by some neighborhood dogs and they were concerned for my well-being as well as my dog's. She gets lots of love and affection from the staff every time she visits and I know she is in good hands here. I would recommend this clinic to anyone needing to establish care.

Piper Mathews

I greatly appreciate Dr. Zelnick's communication with me during Baxter's cleaning/growth removal. She is a treasure and has been so great with my pup. Having had unpleasant feelings surrounding vets in the past, having someone like Dr. Zelnick is truly a breath of fresh air and a joy.

Bradley Hawks

Been my vet for many years and they've always treated my pets great. Very professional, friendly, and helpful.

anastasia pantiledes

We love this vet. Anytime we have needed an emergency or quick appointment we were able to get in same day or day after. We trust their care. The people their are extra friendly and remember our dogs.

Katherine McMahon

Very attentive, friendly, professional, concerned doctors and staff. Extremely reasonable wait time, and our veterinarian took her time with us. Dr. McCarron and her team were thorough, articulate, and kind when we brought our pets for their annual visit and follow-up visits. I highly recommend the University Veterinary Hospital and Diagnostic Center.

Natalie Quintana

I adopted my first puppy in August of 2012. I chose to go to my first vet visit at University Pet Hospital as it is close to where I live and seemed clean and professional. I have been very satisfied with the services that my dog has received there. I purchased the "Puppy Package" that included the first year of shots, neutering, among other services which was well worth the money spent. Dr. Rachel Walton and her team have gone above and beyond to take care of my puppy and have been available for any questions that I had. The staff continually remember my dog's name and are knowledgable, professional and friendly. I truly could not ask for a better experience for a first time pet owner. To me, my dog is my baby and University Pet Hospital treats him as such.

Tracey M Watson

Put simply, there is nothing about this hospital and staff that I do not like. I have the utmost confidence in the quality medical treatment and care that my animal receives. I am very grateful to Dr. McCarron and the staff. They are kind to me and gentle with my animal. They also do all the things I cannot do (e.g. nail trim, hygiene trim, etc.).

Marilyn Johnson

From the moment we arrive with LuLu until we leave we are welcomed, feel recognized, listened to and feel we at the best veterinarian place ever. We are so pleased with Dr. Zelnik. Her care is at the top level -

Rachel Wong

Very good service and everyone is always very nice

David Abbott

Wow. Brought my broken pup in and they fixed him like Legos. Would recommend.

Kayla Barnett

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the U Vet Clinic. The staff and doctors are super nice, and you can tell they genuinely care about the well being of your pets. My 5 year old German Shepherd is typically very shy, but the staff at the U handles him so well and makes him feel right at home. Each time I've brought Henri in, the staff has followed up to make sure everything is alright. We are definitely customers for life!

Stefanie Elaine

Went there today for my dog, Star. We had an issue while traveling and they fit me in within an hour and a half. The facility is spotless (even the human bathrooms) and everyone I worked with was very knowledgeable, professional, and obviously a pet-person. (You know when you go somewhere and the vet manhandles your dog? Not here.) We worked with Dr Shawn and he was awesome with both of us - he calmed me down over my freak out and snuggled with Star and gave her treats, all while reassuring me that the things she was going through were not life-threatening or even abnormal in young adult dogs. Oh, and did I mention that they're cheap? Only $50 for an office visit. Tip for the DA-dog owner: Their office is laid out very well if you happen to have a dog-aggressive dog - lots of places to stay out of the way of the idiots who insist on bringing their dogs to the vet on flexis. Thanks so much for the great experience! I wish you guys were in Denver.

Elizabeth Leach

Enjoyed my visit, pricing was high -better than like an instacare, and you do get a great quality service. Barry loved them!

Jessica Poulson

Wonderful awesome staff. My Dog loved it, and it felt comforting there which helped her as well. This is our new Vet for sure!

jennifer pearman

They were really good with my cat and very friendly to me and my boyfriend and very informative about what was going on with our baby while he was there getting stuff done and very gentle with him

Stefanie Lauritzen

They take the best care of our fur babies. Yes, it's kinda pricey, but you get what you pay for. I have tried talking my cats to cheaper places, but no one seems as knowable, professional, and kind as them. They helped us save our baby that showed up on our driveway with head trauma. The techs and front desk people still coo over her.

Peyton Russelburg

Everyone there was professional and went out of their way to offer the best advice for taking care of my dog. Excellent in all aspects of service.

Kenn Dayton

My dog Frank went in for a recent procedure and the crew at University Vet had us in and out when they said they would, which both of us appreciated, and I like that. They’re friendly-caring-professional-dependable-and local.

Kathy Sodoma

I love everything about this place! Everyone is so friendly and you can tell they are genuinely concerned for your pet's health. It means a lot when you are scared to have people who are knowledgeable and compassionate.

Ganghun Kim

We have visited here for vaccination for our dog Mocca, a toy poodle. Their pricing is very reasonable. I also did dental cleaning and extraction. They found deceased tooth while cleaning and had to extract 4 tooth. They called me and my wife and explained in detail why and how the extraction should be done. The process was professional and well done. I moved and ended up transfer out, but I would recommend this place for anyone with vet needs.

A Jones

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about this place. All the staff members are incredibly nice, friendly, and always greet our dogs by name. They are very knowledgeable and we always have a great visit - never feel rushed as the staff always take time to make the dogs comfortable and answer any questions that we have. The services are top notch and the staff are honest about pros and cons of procedures, medications, etc. We don't feel pressured into anything and have even been given free samples of medications that other vets made us pay for. The facility is also always clean and comfortable. We love it here.

Sandra Buendia

Loved everyone's sincere love and care for Maximus.

Sandra Lucas

I like the veterinarian, Dr. Bybee, but I don't like the fact that the last two times they wouldn't fit me in when my dog was having some concerning problems. They told me to go the to emergency pet clinic instead. This is after years of being a customer. I will be choosing a new clinic that cares more about relationships with clients than fitting so many people that it takes over a week to be able to get an appointment. Definitely a money making operation. Update: I ended up going to Avenues Pet Clinic and I am so happy that I made the change. The space may not be as "cool" as U Vet but the customer service is 100% better. Dr. Ponce is a very caring and knowledgeable vet.

Sala Tumanuvao

I usually only leave reviews when I have an exceptionally positive experience, but I have to say, I left this place disappointed and frustrated. My first interaction with the girl at the desk when I walked in was cold. No "good morning" or "hi how are ya?" At least acknowledge me when I walk in to your facility. I'm just here to give you my money, no big deal. The exam went fine (just a checkup) but I just felt like a bunch of products and services I didnt want were being pushed on me. Ended up leaving with medications I didn't really want or need and an extra $100 short of what I actually wanted to spend. And then again, upon payment and leaving the facility, I literally said, "Thanks, have a good one." And no response. I'm a little surprised at this girl's lack of politeness or friendliness. But then again, whatever, I didn't pay her to be nice, just to get my dog up to date on his shots. All in all, the reason I'm writing this is because I wont be going here again. I like working with awesome kind people, and while a couple of the staff were just that, that one girl really ruined it for me.

John Higby

The staff here is wonderful. They always take good care of our cat.

University Veterinary Hospital has been absolutely amazing! We've used them for about five years now, and have been impressed by the quality, the price, and the loving thoroughness of the care they provide. They've provided end-of-life care for our two senior dogs (one of which has passed, more on how well they handled that later). The vets are keen on doing whatever they can do help a senior dog feel their best--from medications to exercise and massage therapy (the scientific to the wholistic). They also spend a lot of time with the animals during the appointments making sure they've covered all their bases and answered any possible questions you may have. They've been honest about ways we could save money, which is very helpful when you're on a budget with a beloved senior dog. Whenever they've provided care for my boys, they vets have called several times after their appointments to check up on them and see how they're doing. When one of our dogs passed away, they also showed exceptional care for us people, sending us a card and flowers and checking up on us. Overall, some of the most loving, thorough vets out there.

Sean Hennessey

Pros: Very good care and service. Excellent service. Excellent care. Genuine care and concern for my pet. Nice. clean, brand-new, large, updated, modern, comfortable facility. Cons: in order to offer all that they offer, they need to charge an awful lot of money for services. So in my mind, they wanted to charge me $430, to spay my dachshund, when my family vet in Orem wanted to charge $230. So, to me in that instance, $230 was closer to the true cost of services rendered, whereas $430 is more closely related to all of the costs required to KEEP a nice, big clinic like that happy open and available for whenever I finally DO come in as a customer. make sense? Love the clinic, nice to have such great service so close and within my own neighborhood. For small things or standard office visits, they are GREAT FOR ME!!

TANK BERRETT

Quality, people, services, communication and presentation!

On 1/24/2013 took my 6 year pit mix dog to vet at this clinic. We have used them in the past with good results.Since they have redone the building and changed vets this visit was a total scam.X Rays revealed huge tumor in throat area vet wanted $400. more for ultrasound.I went home and looked condition up on web either that vet was stupid or just trying to take more money.Very cold hearted.Took info to Avenues Pet Clinic where we were notified it was in fact a large tumor. Dog was in pain and all the money in the world would not save him we purchased pain pills and the dog is more comfortable. When I go to the vet in a obvious critical situation I want the truth. Not someone trying to profit with no concern for my animals well being

never was

They sent my dog home to die after taking my last dollar, they had told me her hart was bad so they sent her off with steroids, after a quick Google search I read this should never be givin to dogs with hart issues. She lasted one week after Left me with a bad impression of vets just thought they would care enough to make it so I could make a payment plan so I could help my dog but they don't. And I love the happy birthday email to my dead dog that's cool.

There were a lot of reminders with clear instructions about what we needed to do prior to our cat's surgery. After the surgery was complete, the Dr. called us and let us know everything was fine and gave us some follow-up information. All of the post-surgery instructions were explained clearly. The whole staff really seemed to care about our pet's health and comfort. You have an excellent team!

Kalina Zufelt

The staff here is so incredible, kind, loving and on top of things! They took such amazing care of my dog when he was brought into them as a lost dog. My dog was attacked and ran away after, and the staff here treated him so well, and let him be right by them instead of locking him in a kennel at a time he was already scared. I am so grateful for how tender they were for him and they've gone far beyond a level of care I expect. It is well worth an extra 20 min drive for us to come here, and I highly recommend them to anyone in the Salt Lake Valley! My dog enjoys coming and loves everyone he's met.

Marissa Acker

University Veterinary Hospital always provides the best care. I have three dogs, and two of the three actually try to go to their vet office every time I walk by because they actually seem to like going there, and that is huge. Last time I took my dogs for a regular visit, the vet tech was kind enough to allow me to stay in the exam room and run my charges for me so that I didn't have to wrangle three dogs at the front desk. I cannot speak more highly of this place!

Jammy Biggs

Jeff Neville here. This is a truly amazing Veterinary clinic. The staff Always treated our old pup Sandy (a lab/rottweiler mix) awesomely. In contrast to other vets, this is Very important as we experienced Alot of fear-based judgement at other clinics due to her being a large, part rottweiler pup. Dr. Zelnick (hope I spelled that right) was always & still is, beyond amazing. Sadly though, I can nolonger afford UVH. My wife & I make a meager living, but work Very hard & still cannot come close to being able to afford UVH. Now we have an amazing son too, so maybe that's why. I wouldn't dream of giving UVH a rating under 5-stars but REALLY wish they weren't so expensive. Does Anone know of a veterinary clinic as amazing as UVH that poorer folks like myself can afford?

Andrew McAfee

The team at University Vet Hospital is exceptional. The docs are knowledgeable, pragmatic, and respectful of both the animals they work with and their humans. The vet techs and office staff are extremely helpful and obviously love the animals they handle day in and out. The care my dog has received over the past year here - from impatient, general anesthesia surgery to vaccines and checkups - has always been positive, high value, and informative.

Elena Ortaso

What’s the used of being open till 7pm when you can’t make an appointment after 5pm. Very rude and just hanged up the phone. Don’t even suggest any good options what to do with my dog.

mike harris

Thank you Dr. Bybee and Dr. Zelnik. I am grateful to you and all your staff for treating our dogs so well. I know my dogs are well cared for every time we visit you.

C H

Have had a few injuries this year due to moving and other activities. The staff are helpful, the doctor who saw us was patient in answering all my questions and helping me get a treatment plan going for my dog. 10/10 would recommend.

Kirsi White

Everyone is so awesome and personable! My puppy, Calvin, felt super comfortable with both the tech and the doc! They took great care of my favorite family member!

Carol Cremer

I've used several veterinary clinics/hospitals in the Salt Lake valley and University Veterinary Hospital provides the best care my dog has ever received. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the veterinarians - especially Dr. Lyn Mc Carren - are excellent. Appointments are timely, their hours are very convenient, the facility is bright, clean, and homey. The hospital provides excellent followup by both veterinarians and staff. Their prices are slightly more than others but the care your pet receives is worth it

Marie Stockwell

They took great care of my Squishy, they all loved him, and we're great that he was harness trained instead of being in a cat carrier. The prices for his shots and chip were much more affordable than I had predicted. Would go back if I lived there.

Stephanie H

I love that this facility has thought of everything. from a play place for children. To cold or hot drinks for us. I also love that whenever Ive had an emergency I have been able to get right in. All your staff have been very considerate when I had a cat that had to be put down. And very loving to my new cat when she freaked out over getting her temperature taken. Prices are reasonable

Maria Maier

Love, love, love this place! Great staff and Vets, they truly care about your pets!

Debra Drummond

Friendly and capable staff, sterling facilities, and knowledgeable and caring veterinarians make University Veterinarian Hospital a place I know that I can take my pets for the best care possible.

1 Star Rating I tried this vet out on the recommendation of a couple friends. The office visit was great with everyone being really helpful, knowledgeable, etc but the problem came after we went home. The medication given to my dog was not working and he was still in a great deal of pain. It took 4 phone calls over about 3 weeks before a vet would call me back about it. New medication was given, which also didn't work, at which point everyone there just threw up their hands and told me they couldn't help my dog. During that first visit, my other dog was also seen for a mild goopy ear problem. A few months after our first visit I decided to give this office a 2nd chance and call in asking if I could get a refill on the ear wash they had given her. It isn't a strong prescription, so there really shouldn't be an issue letting me buy a 2nd bottle. Once again I was told that a dr. would review the request and call me back letting me know yes or no. Once again, no one can be bothered to call me back. My dogs are good dogs, well behaved. I paid my bill in full at the visit. IE, we are not a problem client, so I can’t for the life of me fathom why we keep getting a cold shoulder. I will be taking them to another vet from now on. Initial visit was 2/8 Vet called Sat 2/10 and left a voice mail. In that voicemail she said my dogs bloodwork was abnormal, but didn’t say what that meant. She said she would not be back in the office till Tue to speak to me more about it. 2/12 – Office worker calls to check and see how my dog is doing on the meds. I inform him that it is only half working with him still having days where he is in a lot of pain. 2/15 I call and leave a message for the vet because she never called back about the bloodwork results or the fact that the meds were not really working. 2/20 I call to once again to tell them the meds are not working and I still don’t have a clue about these abnormal lab results mentioned on the voicemail. 2/26 Office worker calls to ask me how my dog is doing. I once again tell them that the meds aren’t really working, and that no one has called me back about any of it. Vet returns my phone call on 3/1. Tells me she is happy hear my dog is doing great, and then seems surprised when I say that isn’t the case at all. 21 days and 4 messages later.

Laura Cryst

The staff here is wonderful - they're very patient with dogs and they provide great recommendations and resources. They're non-judgmental and they really take the time to get to know my puppies when they come in.

Dave McGrail

Top notch vet care, only a little bit pricier than our previous vet but the level of care is so much higher. They do everything they can to help keep your pet calm. Our dog is a neurotic mess sometimes but she barely hates this place. Best compliment our dog could possibly give.

Lynn Katoa

Recently moved here from Seattle and friend of mine recommended this place. Everyone is so friendly and helpful! So thankful for the recommendation! Thank you!!

Andy Chen

Was recommended this place by a friend. I can see why. Great staff. Everyone was kind, took their time, and listened.

Jill Baeder

This is the place for your pets. Wonderful staff and Vets who love animals. It's always an easy in and out plus it's in the neighborhood.

Julie Halsall

I love everything about the clinic! The building is gorgeous and inviting and extremely clean. The staff...incredible! I moved to the Ogden area in the last 1-2 years and I have decided to bring my pup back to you because of the outstanding customer service. My pup has been diagnosed with cancer. Even though this is the most devastating news, I know he is in the best of hands. He absolutely loves going to your office! Everyone is so caring and it shows:)

Alexandra Williamson

I always love how welcoming and friendly the staff is and how clean the office/hospital is. You don't feel like you are at the Vet at all. They treat every animal that comes through with so much care, love and attention. It makes me feel so much better knowing that if I have to leave my pets there, they are in the best care. It really makes me feel like my pets are rockstars when we walk in. I will always recommend University Veterinary Hospital and Diagnostic Center to anyone who asks!

Brenda Jerez

Nickel and Dimed - Was initially quite satisfied with vet services here. I've come in for vaccines, anal gland expression, surgery, and multiply health certificates for travel. Recently, I came in for yet another travel certificate (this time for travel in Europe) and was told by the office manager, and then again by Dr. Rachel Walton, that it wouldn't be possible to travel with my dog because of a mandatory wait time that would fall outside my dates of travel. Dr. Rachel Walton spoke with me for two minutes and did not examine my dog at all (didn't even have him on the table). I assumed I had not incurred a fee because no exam had taken place. I was quite surprised to get a call later that day saying that a fee was indeed being charged for the two minute conversation. I was taken aback, especially since I come in for so many services (again, in just the one year I've been living here). I spoke with Practice Manager, Dana Thomas, about the situation and to ask what the actual fee was. She was quite rude and spoke over me as if I was her child when I was explaining to her that I was more than happy to pay the fee and get a new vet. Honestly, it's not even about the money, it's about the principle. I guess it was worth it for them to lose a consistent client over $25 (again, not for a dog exam, but for Dr. Rachel Walton to repeat to me what the office manager had just told me - a full two minute conversation). If Dr. Rachel Walton had even placed him on the exam table and felt around, I'd be more than happy to pay, but again NO EXAM OF ANY KIND TOOK PLACE. I guess when you take your pet/family to a place for repeated care you expect to be more than a dollar sign, not the case at University Veterinary Hospital & Diagnostic Center. Makes one wonder if the care they provide is what is actually needed or if they're playing on fear for your pet's health to make a quick buck. University Veterinary Hospital & Diagnostic Center is the shady mechanic of vets.

Kali Hansen

This vet is amazing! I took my baby Bobby here for a second opinion ultrasound because the Vet I dealt with at AVC was an absolute joke. Dr.Mcllvenna was so good to my cat and answered my ten thousand questions and was so kind. Then today I had an extremely unusual emergency, they were booked but told me to bring her in as in in-patient since she absolutely had to be seen today. I had Dr. Howard and he was so kind, he explained everything to me clearly and was just such a sweet heart! The tech I always have is so sweet too and they all love my cat, it makes me feel right at home having such a kind staff take care of my girl and they love her as much as I do which is what I really look for in a vet office. This place is amazing!

Debbie Passey

I took my dog in for a overall physical. I called beforehand and was told it would $60 for an basic physical exam. The vet checked out my dog, said she wanted to test a couple things on the skin and saliva. She never mentioned that these lab tests were NOT included in the physical, she made it sound as if it were some basic routine thing "the test is only 10 minutes, I just want to check the saliva and skin..." I know by now I should of asked if it was included, so by the time I left my bill was almost $300. I felt cheated. I understand the labs cost money, but I would of liked to have been told the skin and saliva test was not part of the physical. Honestly, I feel like this place banks on the fact they are always voted "Best in State" and exploit the people coming here.

THOMAS MCKENNA

Very caring and professional care at reasonable fees. Very strong recommendation.

Matt Christensen

Everyone was fantastic! We will be back with the other dogs for sure. They were sympathetic to my situation and very accommodating.

Muhammed Somuncu

We have been going to University Vet Hospital since 2009. Having 2 big dogs with lots of energy and the need to chew foreign objects caused us to make multiple visits in the past. We had the pleasure of working with 4 of the doctors over the past 6 years and probably have met all the technicians and the front desk staff. All we can say is that they are extremely professional, pleasant, efficient and they truly care for the well being of your pets. You always get a rough estimate of medical costs during your visit and you have the option to opt out of certain treatments, etc. if you wish. A reviewer left negative feedback for the UVH because they sell "Puppy Packages", etc. Yes, of course they do. As a medical practice catered to animals, they offer preventive care. None of the providers or the technicians force you to buy anything. They provide patient education and leave the decision to you. Overall, our experiences have been exemplary. Thank you!

Emily Em

They were so kind, loving, and attentive to my sick dog. I don't have a lot of money, but I wanted the best care for my pup so before they did anything, they went over what they recommended, the cost, things they could also do above the absolute necessary and why they might recommend it. I felt like I was working with as a team to create the best treatment plan for my dog. They were completely booked the day I called, but let me drop her off for a couple hours so that they could still treat her and they did that for free. Their prices were very reasonable and some less than a lot of other places I called. I highly and absolutely recommend them. My pup is fine and healthy now and that means the world to me.

Nicolette Alleman

Excellent care, great vet's, beautiful new building. And most important I trust them with my pets!

Henry Lieberman

The technician explained the dental cleaning process for our cat in great detail prior to the procedure and we received a follow-up call the next day from the doctor to ensure our cat was doing well. We appreciate the concern of the people working at your hospital/clinic for the animals in your care.

Valerie Yoder

All the vets & techs I have seen are very good with my cats and can keep them calm. The care is a little more expensive, but it is a very professional clinic and offers lots of treatment options you can't find other places. So far, I have always been able to get an appointment within just a few days of calling.

Thomas Licata

Would not take your dog here. Find a different vet and save some headache/money down the road.

charlie b

Nice poeple and good vets

meghan horner

I cannot recommend this veterinary practice. My dog fell very very sick last year. After six months and thousands of dollars worth of diagnostic tests, we had no answer and our dog was dying. The problem, along with not having an answer for our dog's illness, was that I felt no trust in our primary vet's experience and communication was terrible. Finally, realizing that we trusted an outside specialist to explain to us procedures and options more than our primary vet at UVHDC, we decided to move to another veterinary practice. Our dog, so far, has beaten her illness, but not after some serious medications and physical therapy. We feel very lucky that she survived, but she is not the same animal. I do understand that her illness was difficult to diagnose but I can't help but feel from our experience that this practice runs on the backs of its new vets and very very expensive services. Many times it seemed like the practice was about the money and not necessarily about veterinary care. The only reason why I gave this any stars is their vet technicians are really incredible, compassionate people.

Russell Ward

Our cat was lethargic and we went to UVH to get an exam. The doctor was very thorough and stayed with us until we exhausted all our questions. The vet also followed up after the lab results came back to set a course of action for our cat. Great experience. Highly recommend!

Ellen Parrish

I just called to get an estimate for a well-dog visit and the cost to update my dog's shots. Extremely disappointing to find that the receptionist would/could not give me pricing as that is "up to the doctor." This is ridiculous! I recommend that cost conscious pet owners join me in utilizing the Salt Lake County Animal Services for routine care.

Ashley Brown

Avoid this place!! The worst, most incompetent office staff I have ever experienced. And the cost is through the roof! For context: I have two rescue dogs who have some stranger-danger issues. Specifically, they don't trust new people and can growl and bark when they're stressed out which, because of their size, stresses out other people and pets. It is a problem I know about, have tools to help, and am actively working on with training and professional behaviorists. Rehabilitation takes time, however. I made my appointment a month in advance and asked the staff to make note that my dogs would need a room right away or else they'll be noisy. I then called an hour before my appointment to remind them. They said they'd have a room ready and would come out to the parking lot to assist me bringing the dogs in. When I arrived, not one of the office staff knew what I was talking about. My dogs had to wait in a hot car (I cracked the windows, but still!) while I got assistance. Then, no one would help me take my dogs out one at a time at the end of the appointment. As I was being charged $350 for two exams (!!!) the receptionist was very snide and told me I needed to get my animals under control (they were both leashed and muzzled, but yes, they were barking and growling). How can someone who works with dogs all day not be understanding that some dogs are reactive in high stress situations? Just wow. I was very clear when I made the appointment that my dogs have socialisation issues and would need extra care. If they weren't prepared to give that extra care I would appreciate them referring me elsewhere. Oh, I also had to wait 45 minutes to be seen even though I made the appointment a month ago. I've waited less time at emergency walk-in vet hospitals. In closing, University Veterinary Hospital is: 1. Unprofessional 2. Vastly over priced 3. Slow Avoid at all costs.

I’ve been coming here for two years. As far as caring for my pets they’ve been thorough, professional, and make my pets feel comfortable. With that said, this place is a finely tuned money making machine that uses pet owners’ emotions as fuel. Nothing against the doctors, techs, or assistants - but this place will run a bill up extremely quickly. The saying you pay for what you get is true, but here you’ll pay way more and get the same as anywhere else. Additionally, they book themselves jam packed and often the soonest available appointment is a week out. Look elsewhere. An update: a doctor at University vets wanted to remove all my 1 year old cat’s teeth. Luckily I got a second opinion, where it turns out removing the teeth would have been unnecessary. Saved a couple grand and my cat still has his teeth. Will happily tell anyone who will listen not to come here and share this specific experience. There was also the time a puppy of mine died and I never received the ceramic paw print that we paid (way too much) for. The more I reflect on my experiences here the worst they sit with me.

Peter Margulies

Thanks Dr Bybee and all the staff for taking such good care of Bella. Special shout out to Jaime and Stacy for their good work!

Ms Emma Corbett

I am fairly new to this vet but they have been exceptional the two time I have visit. The first time was for a second opinion on a surgery which another vet told me my dog needed. After the vet at University Veterinary Hospital & Diagnostic Center assessed her (and took her to other vets in the office for a third and fourth opinion), I was reassured my dog did not need this $6K surgery. She is now fully recovered from her symptoms. The second time, was for a simple infection. In both visits, they have been prompt with calling me a week after her appointment just to check in and see how she is doing. Of the four vets I have been to in my life, none of them bothered to call and check in on my pup after her appointment. They provide excellent customer service, competitive prices and a friendly staff that treat my dog the way they would treat their own.

Marie Wright

Excellent customer service which starts at the front desk and how clients are treated. Never have any concerns or complaints about the vet care it is beyond excellent.

Alexi Johnson

I take my poodle Lennon here. Expensive but worth because they take such good care of him.

Jake Dinsdale

Not very responsive by email. I got 1 reply and then nothing.

Sijia Zhang

Cheap general check ups and great overall experience.

Debrah Fraser

I recommend this vet, to everyone and anyone. They truly care about your pets that you bring in. they care about the animals health, happiness, and wellness. They care about saving animals lives, and keeping them healthy so they live long happy lives. They care about the animals’ mental, emotional, and physical health. They are friendly, helpful, compassionate and care about your needs and the needs of your pet. I have 4 two month old puppies, when one of the puppies got attacked, and they had just closed and locked their doors, even though they could have turned us away, they didn’t, they opened their doors to us, and stayed after hours when they didn’t have to, to help try and save my puppy. They cared about what i needed and what was best for JR (My two month old puppy). When i asked them to be honest with me about all the questions i had asked, they were. They were up front and honest about everything. When my puppies condition kept getting worse and worse throughout the time He was there, they tried to keep him out of pain and stable, but when he was no longer stable, and he was in too much pain to keep him alive, we decided we shouldn’t make him suffer any longer, the vet techs took JR.’s sister and played with her while the Vet, my boyfriend and I, said our good byes to JR. They were very helpful, and showed me that they weren’t just doing this for the money. That they were doing it for the love of the animals. When I went in the next day they were open to pay part of the bill, with another one of JR.’s sisters, they played with her, gave her treats and loved on her. They love animals. They care, about the animal, and you. They are truly amazing.

Adam Cutler

This is my favorite veterinary office in the salt lake area. My dog is always well taken care of and the staff truly care for animals and give him lots of love each time he is in. Highly recommended!

Chelsea Lester

Wonderful, proffesional and incredibly personable. I won't take my puppy anywhere else and he loves them!

Matt Monson

These guys have saved my dog Boomer's life twice. They genuinely care for your pet, and far surpass my previous experiences at other vets. 2 years ago, Boomer was run over by a car on our street. I took her to our previous vet clinic (won't mention which, but also downtown) and they told us to put her down or cough up $7500 for surgery. I got a second opinion at University Vet Hospital, and they provided the care, concern, and professional attention Boomer needed to recover in a price range I could actually afford. For this I will forever love and recommend them. Boomer healed beautifully under their care. Professional staff, nice facilities, and in the business for the love of the animals it seems - money second, and this means a lot to me. Fully recommend.

Jenn Lenz

The University Pet Clinic helped us out tremendously in a time of need for our cat. Amazing care and professionalism. Unfortunately, this quality does not apply to their owner or accounting department. We did not have the money to pay the bill up front and they graciously took care of our beloved pet. I paid the entire bill in full as per our verbal agreement. To my surprise, two years later I received a letter from a collection agency for an unpaid balance. I received one bill in that time from the hospital, placed a call and did not receive a call back. When I requested the payment history a complete history was not provided, only copies of the bill I never received. It is unfortunate a phone call was not made prior to forwarding it to collections from the hospital itself. In my opinion, quality customer care should be extended by both the owner and accounting department, in addition to clinical care.

Tera Woolley

I love that whenever I come in, your entire staff knows my dogs and treats them so well. They genuinely seem to enjoy going to the vet now because of the love and attention they get there. Each doctor takes the time to answer all of my questions, they call me personally and never seem rushed. I honestly wish they could be my doctor! There is not one bad thing I could say; I'll never go anywhere else!

Melanie Russell

The person answering phones was rude and put me off even trying to go in. If you can't even fake a pleasant tone over the phone to a potential new customer, what are you like to existing customers who come in? The last thing I want is another headache when I'm already worried about my pet.

Survivorguidetv

I'm am absolutely appalled at the behavior of the person manning the front door of this facility. I was dispatched by my place of work to attend to a coworker who was involved in an accident very near the location of this office. Not knowing if my friend/coworker was injuried I hurried to the location. Upon arriving the street was blocked with street parking and road work crews. The safest thing for me to do was to pull out of the way using the driveway of this office. I immediately backed into a spot so I could turn around before I could do anything else a man working the site where my coworker was approached to let me know where to go. Before I could do anything else a blonde women in scrubs came out and began screaming in a shrill voice. While I tried to explain to her that I was just trying to find the best place to move she continued to scream and yell about the fact that I was in a nearly empty parking lot simply trying to find the best place to move my truck so I could attend to a friend whose day was made all the worse by her horrible behavior. The great news is this is where my parents go (went ) to get treatment for their pets, they've been patrons of this establishment for quite some time and have spent thousands of dollars there. They've already heard my comments and are no longer going to be using the services here. I'm absolutely stunned at this behavior as I was merely trying to find the fastest way to exit the parking lot safely. I hope this women finds the help she need directing her anger toward whatever it is in her life that has gone so bad that she feels the need to lash out at a complete stranger in such a fashion. I can only hope that not a single drop ofwhatever anger she is harboring never spills over into her work, otherwise I can only worry about how that kind of hatred could negatively affect the furry family members entrusted into her care.

Megan Shepherd

This is a fantastic veterinary hospital! I went for the very first time today and everyone was so friendly and nice. I felt very welcome and so did my dog! They didn't rush my appointment and got everything taken care of. The doctors and nurses were very competent and answered every question I had. Also, the building was beautiful and very clean. Go here if you need a vet!

Valarie Carman

I really love that Dr. Lynn A. McCarron is Bebe's Doctor. I truly believe that Dr. McCarron cares for Bebe.

Shelbie York

The majority of the veterinary staff and the care my pets received has been exceptional. A single Technician/Cashier however is keeping me from giving 5 stars. He could not answer my questions, seemed very clueless and the odd responses I did receive from him were at best, unprofessional. I highly recommend this hospital – the veterinary care has been thorough and specific to my needs, just terrific. This technician however is a yutz and I hope he is closely supervised.

julie willis

ALL members of the University Vet Hospital staff are exemplary of fine professional, compassionate and intelligent service. I have trusted the life of my dogs to them for years and will continue to do so. I also would like to acknowledge the great work of Dr. Smith, orthopedic surgeon. He worked in collaboration with the staff and physicians here to educate and inform me of the various surgical and rehabilitation options for my dog's knee surgery. His procedures, the post-operative care and follow exams have insured that my "girl" will once again, run, play and live a fully productive life. With Gratitude.....

Ashley Hancock

Don’t waste your time with this vet. I was driving in and was two blocks from the vet with my dog which was in an emergency situation and they wouldn’t see me even though they were still open for another 20 min. Treated us like we were an inconvenience when our dog needed medical help.

Cassandra Leconte

My experience at this Veterinary Hospital was amazing. The staff is enthusiastic and caring. They made me feel comfortable and I love the attention they gave my cat. Dr. Howard was confident in his diagnostics for my cat and made me feel relaxed about my cats situation. He and his staff were unbelievably wonderful. I would recommend this hospital over and over again. If you love your pet and want the best care, take them here!

Chelsea

You know it's a good vet when your dog can't wait to get through the doors. The staff is always excited to see my pets and are kind and friendly. Dr. McIlvenna is incredibly knowledgeable and really takes her time with the animals. Dr. Jermain is also good. It is warm and inviting inside. I wish they had more services here (ultrasound and more specialized veterinarians). Hopefully they can expand so I can get everything done in one place and never have to be referred out!

Amanda Shipley

Great with anxious animals. Very kind and patient.

Dan Eyring

Dr McCaran took great care of our guy. She is clearly experienced and justly confident in her work. She prepared us for the worst and delivered the best possible results. The bill was also under her worst case estimate. Very happy with the care we received here. Two thumbs up.

Asher Loveless

Super friendly staff. They gave me an estimate for services for my cat. Then they did a bunch of extras and charged me way less then their originally quoted price.

Tucker Weathers

Best vet I've ever been to. They have helped keep our pets healthy and have been there to help us let one of them go in the most respectful way possible.

Craig Allen

Special place in my heart. Great service

jude r

Dr. Heather McIlvenna is superb. She is knowledgeable, thorough, patient, and caring. She takes care of both our dogs, one of whom is 15 y.o. When our older dog needed emergency surgery she worked with us every step of the way. She helped us with the correct diagnostics, she even came in on her day off to check the results so we could expedite our dog's care! And she did not hesitate to refer us to a clinic with a higher level of care. I completely trust her. The UVC is undoubtedly pricey, there is no denying this, but Heather is definitely worth it.

Emily Milam

This is a great place to take your pet. My dog has some pretty serious allergy issues. Dr. MacLevenan was kind, sincere, knowledgeable, and just great with my dog. All of the staff at University Vet Hospital are professional and friendly. Great place, I'd recommend it to anyone.

Jenny Walsh

The only place I trust to take excellent care of my cats and dog. PLUS they always have freshly baked cookies!

Arline Allen

Knowledgeable vets and techs who explain every aspect of my cat's treatment. They don't jump in and perform every possible test/treatment, but judiciously take things a step at a time, and then plan for the next step (if it becomes necessary). Over-treating is a common problem at some veterinary clinics, leaving one to wonder if it's just a way to inflate their bottom line. I never feel that way at University Vet Hospital.

Lori Rawlings

Great facility, stocked with good people who care. Warm cookies, coffee and cocoa in the waiting room. Only drawback is, unless you ask, you rarely get the same vet every time you go.

Shawn Creitz

The staff is so friendly and caring. Our newly adopted senior baby needed 22 teeth pulled. They told us everything that was going to happen and the possibilities of what could go wrong. They took such amazing care of our baby. We recommend anyone to go there!

Steve Maglecic

We are from Idaho and was at the Huntsman Cancer Center in Salt Lake when our Bearded Collie Puppy became very sick. We found the University Veterinary hospital and took her there. We met Dr. McIlvenna and Julie the receptionist To say the least they are by far the best we have ever dealt with. If I lived in Salt Lake area we would drive over 60 miles to use this clinic. Just a passing note the price was very reasonable also.

Cameron Moore

The staff assisted Tiberius perfectly and took care of him making sure to comfort him. Also gave me great news about him not having cancer so I thank all of you for your help.

Stichey Reagan

We adore the quality of care we receive at University Veterinary Hospital! All members of staff are always terrifically attentive and treat our pets as if they were their own! We received especially great service from our Vet Tech, Elaine, who was incredible helpful throughout the process!

emmysclu c

I had a really positive experience here with my little dog, Mavi. I recently switched his records over to University from Sugarhouse Clinic (who is just so ridiculously overpriced among other things). University obtained my records from the old vet with no problem. When I took my dog in for his appointment, the tech/nurse(?) Shane was just absolutely wonderful with my dog. Really sweet to him and treated him well. The vet (whose name escapes me) was kind and thorough, and answered my questions. They were very gentle with my dog both in terms of how they handled him and in the way in which they spoke to him. He needed a urine sample and they went to the effort of taking him outside to urinate and catching it as opposed to inserting a needle (which is, of course, painful to the dog). I really appreciated that. When they took my dog back to the back area to administer vaccines and do more thorough exams, I could still hear them through the door and I was so impressed by what I heard: they talked to him gently, called him by his name, talked to him in soothing tones, and were very kind to him. It's a big deal to me that they were not only kind to my dog to my face, but also when there was no one around to see it. When our appointment was done, Shane even came out to the lobby and got down to talk to my pet before we left. Very impressed.

Carolin Quist

The staff is so welcoming and very attentive to both the animal member of the family and the owners/owned humans/pack.

Trae Collier

The quality care and attention my girls receive actually makes them want to visit.

Adrian Villasenor

Caring and attentive staff. Quality equipment, you're pet will get good care here.

Baxterkixx

Their earliest appointment to see an injured animal is over a week away. My dog can't walk without crying. Not acceptable. Also they called me before 8am to tell me that. That's really what makes mad. It's super rude to call people before 8am. Honestly don't call people before 9 unless it's time sensitive. So, if your pet is never sick or injured you will be fine calling them. Also if you don't mind being woken up at 7:30, this is the vet for you.

Angela Andrews

I love this place! I always feel like me and my pets are nurtured in every way. I wouldn't take my 4-legged family members anywhere else. They are the best.

Vrunda Rathod

We just recently moved to the area and found University Vet on Yelp. Our first interaction with was just fine. Our dog had been feeling unwell. It took a week to get in, but we found a bacterial infection, got the meds, and we were back on our way to being a perky pet. However, our dog broke a molar on a Friday evening. We went in first thing on Saturday, during business hours, to have someone have a look and tell us what to do. As in -- should we go to emergency facility or was this an issue that could be dealt with at an appointment a few days later? We were summarily told that no one could see our little guy. Not even quickly to tell us what we should do, despite that fact that we were willing to wait. They told us that we should go somewhere else and ask them what to do. These guys were suppose to be our vet. I get that we're a new client, but we had been in already and had another appointment on the books with them. They seemed unwilling to even attempt to help us figure out how to handle the issue. It all felt just so rude and lacking in empathy. Needless to say, we will never go to this vet again.

Robert Atkinson

This place is a joke. They will tell you lies to get you all worked up knowing it's not true. I have a bulldog and the vet told me that 100% of the time dogs die if they don't have the babies are not surgically removed. So I only called to get info on if I need to be prepared. She also told me that my dog will DIE if I didn't have this surgery done! ARE YOU SERIOUS!? Well I have a bulldog and each one of my dogs came out 100% fine. In fact my puppies heads were all around 7 inches and the bodies were around 8 1/2 to 9 inches. They are just trying to get money. Do not come here and if you have a breeder go through their vet. No one has the right to say it's 100% true becuse you work with animals. My breeders vet even said their is no proof bulldogs can't product "welp" naturally. Only toy breeds of bulldogs have issues sense they are not true natured bulldogs..

Kristina Haycock

These guys really love their animals, often remembering their furry clients and their little quarks. They're a little expensive, but vets always are. They were with us for one dog and now that she's passed they'll be our choice for our next dogs as well.

Taylor Williams

We've always had amazing experiences here! The staff are so kind and helpful!

Darryll Wolnik

The absolute worst service I have ever had from a veterinary clinic. I called them 3 times to have our prescription emailed to us, as we had moved from the area. 3 times, on three different days, they said they would email it. Each time I called, I got the "well we emailed it" spiel. I checked everywhere; nothing! Finally, we had an outside prescription company request to fill it. They faxed the request on a Tuesday and by Friday they heard nothing. I called University Vet and, lo and behold, it was in their system, added on Tuesday. They had still not responded ON FRIDAY. Never an apology, never an explanation, just the same "we will do it". I am not one to leave a negative review, but this level of incompetence is astounding. While the vet we had there was decent enough, just save yourself some trouble and head somewhere else.

Andrea Weitz

I showed up for my 1:30 appointment at 1:25 for my two cats. They told me I only had an appointment for one of them, despite a voicemail I received the day before for both of them. They then said they would have to squeeze me in. Thirty minutes later a tech came in and said the doctor may or may not be able to see me. 15 minutes after that when I asked where the doctor was, I was accused of arriving 30 minutes late and that I would have to wait. The fact that I arrived early was lost on them. This was the most unprofessional experience I’ve had in a while. I’ve transferred all of my records to a different vet. There are more professional places out there.

Bonnie Roley

The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and understanding. Comfort for my dog was their #1 priority and i loved that. Treats everywhere and even peanut butter in house. Best vet experience I’ve ever had

Anna Gardiner

All of the staff from the front desk, technicians, and doctors care about your pet and do all they can to make sure they are comfortable and the needs are met. They are all great at answering questions or re-directing questions to someone to who may have a better answer if necessary. Having a sick pet is extremely stressful, but they did a great job of making sure they could figure out what was wrong through various avenues of diagnostic tests. Everyone shows great compassion and makes you feel like your pet is top priority!

Amanda Walton

This is the best place ever. My dog eats things constantly and they are so understanding and make room to take him in immediately. They are friendly and love to see him. His doctor makes sure he is getting the best care, but is also understanding about a tight budget. There is a great atmosphere full of people who genuinely love my pet.

Kathalyn Tung-Goodblatt

Friendly staff and accommodating for my 2 cats and 2 dogs. Made a stressful time very easy for all of us! Thanks!

Mark Barrett

I am a loyal repeat for here for good reason.

Paul Walton

The employees are very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They have taken very good care off our dogs.

Sanni Elison

Cannot recommend this vet center enough! My mini aussie had very sad (sad because it had to be done, and he was so miserable for a couple of weeks) but very successful double knee surgery here a couple years ago and we have gone here for everything else since then! Shots, teeth cleaning, checkups, etc. My guys are suuuper nervous with anything new, and it probably makes me nervous that they are uncomfortable, and we get into a nervous loop, but the techs and vets here really know how to calm everyone down, including me! We have mainly worked with Dr. Zelnik and now recently with Dr. Howard. They are both wonderful along all the techs who my older beast immediately falls in love with with some treats :) We are moving across the country and I am sad to find a new vet but Dr. Howard went out of his way to recommend a couple places that he has heard about in the area we are moving to.

Kai Terrell

My pups love the staff here, and they are just as compassionate to owners as they are to the animals. I've never had reason to question that my pets are in anything but the best of hands and receiving the best possible care.

Rik Nelson

I like the facility and staff. The only complaint I have is the lack of any urgency at the front desk. The longest wait i had was to pay them.

Elizabeth Hampshire

I started coming here about a year and a half ago when my dog Tugboat was attacked by another dog, and I couldn't have been happier with my overall experience. Not only is the whole staff caring and wonderfully attentive, they have kindly allowed me to bombard them with phone calls (I'm kind of a paranoid dog parent!). Their prices are also quite reasonable and I truly recommend switching over and giving them your business.

Cynthia Douglass

I love that Dr. Hughes gets down on the ground with our dog, Buddy, and seems to genuinely love him, though she hardly knows him! That's a wonderful show of confidence in our book. My son felt she did a great job with Buddy.

Ellen Aguilar

The staff is great. They know our puppies and care about them.

Jean Robinson

Very good place for veterinary care. The docs are excellent at what they do. It is however, an expensive option.

Bob Godden

Incredible staff, including knowledgeable and helpful doctors who treat our pups with their gut and not their wallet. Thank you so much for taking great care of our puppers

Sarah Hanson

I have two kitties (Bandit and Sir) who are beginning to age, and when I found a lump on Bandit at the beginning of the summer, they got us in to see a vet quickly. Bandit loved the tech who came in before the vet - and he very seldom likes men! Their staff put both me and my dear pet at ease, and his Dr. was both informative and encouraging. A few weeks later, I found a lump on Sir and was able to also get him in quickly, checked out, and surgery scheduled for him. After both visits and the surgery I received follow up calls from their vets to see how things were going, keep me informed about test results, etc...they also helped me get set up with a care credit card to help me pay for the procedure without causing extra stress as it is interest free for 6 months after a charge. I even received a call recently informing me that Bandit may be due for a booster vaccine. I really feel like they care about my furry friends AND me, and I would definitely recommend them!

Marilyn L.

It was our very first visit and everyone was so nice & efficient. Dr. Walton appeared very knowledgeable about cats and handled Maxi very well. It was a very pleasant experience and we came away confident our pets would be well taken care of at your facility.

Bruce Boyes

Dr Heather gave us a great talk on dog first aid.

Preston Chiaro

Everyone from the receptionist to the technician to the doctor is knowledgeable, polite, and clear. The treatment went according to plan. Their follow up and concern for the well-being of my dog were excellent.

Aliyah Rich

I have had such a good experience with taking my dog here. I found this place recently and decided to take my dog here for a check up. They were so friendly and Dr. Bybee was very patient and informative. He informed me that my dog was going to need a few extractions and so I set up an appointment with them. The extractions went well and they have called me multiple times to see how my dog is doing and if I have any concerns. It is typically Dr Bybee that calls me personally but occasionally a few other people have called who are just as friendly and helpful. I have felt supported by them throughout the recovery process and my dog is getting a lot better. This is a great place to take your pet and they really seem to care.

Helen Bero

Dr. Zelnic just gets me. I am a nervous pet mom and I do not like "procedures" done on my dogs. Putting my dogs under creates a ton of stress or me as I have seen the effects it has on humans. She is always quick to respond to those concerns with both of our dogs. Your staff from the front desk to the techs are always kind and courteous. They are quick to get back with test results and any other general question.

Diane Aamodt

Good support staff! Doctors are knowledgable, kind and compassionate. My pets go there!

Daniel Urmann

Dr. Connor is awesome. Took perfect care of my son’s cat - highly recommend him.

Lisa Stewart

Dear University Veterinary Hospital, Thank you for being so amazing! Everyone there makes me feel like my cat is THE BEST CAT they have ever experienced. I realize you are all animal lovers there but it's nice to feel special regardless. Everyone seems to genuinely care about my pet. It's pretty incredible. Also, the staff is very, very knowledgeable. I leave feeling like I know exactly what is going on with my pet, what to expect and what I can do to be a better pet owner. Thanks for taking such good care of me and my Miss Mabel!

Patricia Longworth Modjeski

We always feel like there is genuine concern for our pet’s health and safety from all staff members.

Brenda King

Cuddles has had horrible experiences getting his dental cleaning -- this time he never coughed but once. Thank you, Dr. Lynn. I was so surprised and delighted how great he did!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are awesome! Since I live in St. George, I probably won't see you till next year for his cleaning but I will be back then, for sure!!!!!!!!!!

Cameron Brown

Super nice, handled our cats mats no prob, cheaper than other places we looked into.

Lindel Esparza

This is our first choice in veterinary care for emergencies. The staff is always friendly and knowledgable, and my dog LOVES coming here, even for vaccines. That says it all!

Mike Snyder

Excellent care. Took the time to explain things and reassure us when our pup needed surgery.

Brian Clevenger

Very friendly and clean facilities. Great to work with!

Steven Espinosa

From the front staff, technicians, and veterinarians each person receives personal attention and pets receive the greatest attention. It is highly evident that the staff love their work. You can tell that everyone loves animals.

Christie Davis

Everyone was great. I felt that they all truly cared about my cat and her health.

Kelsie Strong

I was needing a new vet after moving to Salt Lake. After asking around and reviewing some places online, I eventually decided to make an appointment with University Veterinary Hospital and so glad I did! They were so awesome with my dog (even though he was just there getting his shots updated). They continued to win me over when they sent me a card welcoming me and my dog to the practice and sending a happy birthday email for my pup. Little gestures like that go a long way.

Katharine Biele

Dr. McCarron is the best. We appreciate her conservative approach to our pets' needs, her thorough discussions about their health, great follow-up and a rocking personality!

Julia Collins

We were traveling to Utah to visit our daughter & our dog started having some problems. The animal hospital was able to get us in & check out our little distressed dog. Dr. McIlvenna was very thorough & compassionate. We gave her all our information & with many question & answers we came upon a diagnosis that seemed to fit what she was going thru. Thank you to Dr. Heather & the vet tech for their care & gentle touch with our little dog.

Connor Stidham

Never have I had the pleasure to interact or work with such an amazing group of people. The dedication provided by this veterinary staff is amazing. The doctors intelligence and willingness to work around any obstacle is highly satisfactory. The soldiers a.k.a technicians attention to detail and pure desire to succeed is what makes the heart of this hospital explode with business. No matter what the question or task at hand this staff will go at it 100% committed. Plus free cookies and coffee.

Melanie Williamson

I have been taking my treasured Golden Retriever to UFHDC since he was a year old, almost 10 years, and I've received exemplary care every single time. Dr. McCarron and her staff care deeply about their patients, and their pet parents, and this shows in all they do. They were able to get a skin issue diagnosed and under control in just one visit, when other vets had failed. They have the equipment, technology and skilled staff to do many test and diagnostic procedures on-site, which makes it so much easier when there is already stress of an unwell family member. The facility is beautiful and clean and the reg desk and tech employees are just as concerned about your pet's comfort and health as the vets are. They are a wonderful, comprehensive care facility that makes dealing with scary issues so much easier.

BobbiJo Kanter

Dr. Howard has been responsive and attentive to all of our concerns about our dog's surgery from consultation to completion. We are so pleased with the service and care our pet received!

Tara Baim

Would be 5 Stars if they had asked permission to give my dog dental treat's instead of just giving him a couple.

Rhonda Thiele

Dr. Bybee was incredibly caring and helpful with the care of my elderly dog and eventual euthanasia; however, it has become increasingly difficult to get an appointment for routine care and vaccinations, much less more serious conditions. I have been a client since the 90s including opting for chemotherapy for my first dog 15 years ago...but now if you call on a Monday, the receptionist will interrupt you while you are telling her what you need help with and let you know that there are no appointments available until Friday. I was told in the past that technicians could be scheduled for basic vaccinations but today I was told that "policies have changed" and only the veterinarians can do these basic services yet many of the vets only hold office hours 2-3 days a week. Bottom line is I unfortunately cannot rely on my longstanding veterinarian clinic anymore and have to look elsewhere.
